Saregamapa Challenge 2009 videos - 8th November episode - Part I

The show begins with Aditya singing Tu hi toh meri dost hain from Yuvraj. The song is played in the background while some dancers are dancing with violin.. Aditya says, today we have Deven Yuvraj with us.. Salman enters the stage introducing his character (a dialogue in the movie Yuvraj).. He says, I have come here as Deven Yuvraj but I am Salman Khan.. I have come here to encourage the contestants .. I can make you listen to one bad voice, and that is my friend’s Himesh voice.. Aditya says, this movie is about a singer and its a musical film.. A promo of the movie is shown..

Aditya says, whenever Salman has come on our show, the contestants have always got an encouragement and we have had a great show.. A small AV of his previous appearence in the show is shown..

I am feeling very happy that I have come to this show.. I dont know what I ate before coming to the previous seasons.. I am not what I was then.. He enquires about the contestants as to what they are doing these days.. Aditya says, Aneek became the winner and has released his album.. And says, Raja has sung many songs with Shankar ji also.. Salman asks Shankar, how Raja is and Shankar says, he is very good.. And also says, Nihira also recorded few songs for Salaam-e-ishq.. Salman asks Himesh if he has given chance to any.. He says, he has given and that there are many shows as well for which he is taking them along..

Asma says, we already have a heroine.. Salman asks, Who will work as vamp?? We will make her the vamp.. She says, I have rejected all the heroes and now have taken you.. Himesh sings, Bas yaad saath hain and says he will dedicate it for Salman and Katrina..

Salman says, Whenever he sings nasal, it hits our head.. I have asked him to leave this style now.. He just sings in nasal for the sake of singing otherwise he is a very good singer.. Sing with confidence that even if you had forgotten lyrics or go off sur, it will never show in your song (He was pointing at Pritam)..

The whole stage is decorated like a marriage hall and Pratibha sings Kabootar ja ja ja.. Yashita then joins her.. The guys and Asma join them later to sing aaja shyam hone aayi.. Aditya says, today is a very happy moment as we will have a marriage ceremony but we will also have vidaai with one contestant getting eliminated from the show..

Eesha Kopikkar and Sonu Sood enter the stage.. They have come to promote - “Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi”.. The mentors introduce their gharana.. The second topper in today’s episode is Yashita.. Aditya says, there is something to show for you.. In the AV, her mother gives a message for her.. She shows a pic and says, this is not Yashita but me.. I wanted to become a singer but never got the support from my family and my husband.. My husband wanted a boy and he was upset when Yashita was born.. But her smile attracted him and he loved her to the core.. Yashita was just 4 years when her father passed away.. She was eating a chocolate while her father was lying down and she was unaware of death.. She was 5 yrs when she sang her first song. I wanted her to learn music but had no money to send her for classes.. Then Mr. Madhusudan Trivedi accepted her as student and he refused to take money when he came to know my condition. I would say Yashita - Make ur own personality, money and people will stand in queue.. I have made shows for 200 rs and have begged for shows.. I request that you make a life of your own.. Her mother is sitting in the studio and starts crying seeing the AV.. Yashita says, I want my mother and brother to be on stage when I sing.. She sings sur mayi akhiyon mein.. MD - Illayara..
