It’s nice to meet you all after a long time…

Saregamapa little champs has begun this week and this week we witnessed the audition rounds in Indore and Kolkatta.

Before giving the update, let me write down the format of the show for you all. As usual auditions were held in various places of the country and it was judged by Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet. While Alka took care of the girls group, Abhijeet took charge of picking the best singers possible among boys. 55 contestants from all over the kids were given ticket to Mumbai along with a bronze medal.

Now these 55 contestants will perform in front of judge’s panel consisting of Suresh Wadkar, Usha Utup, Jatin Pandit and Alka/Abhijeet. Six girls and six boys will make it to top 12 and then the tough competition begins. Rest we will get to know, as and when the show proceeds. There is no host as of now and two cartoon characters are enacting the role of a host.

Yesterday, they showed the auditions in Indore and Kolkatta. Surit from Kolkatta bagged the silver medal among boys and reached top 6. Debolina halger and Shalini from Kolkatta received silver medal among girls and got through this round.

Today auditions continued in Kolkatta..

There are two brothers Shyamanta Das and Abhigyan Das. They both are good singers.

In audition round Shyamanta Das sings jaane kya chahe mann. He gets the bronze medal and ticket to Mumbai.

Abhigyan Das sings laga chunri mein daag kaise in audition round. In Mumbai stage, Abhijeet says that he was also the winner of saregamapa little champs Bengali.

When asked their parents, both of them wanted Abhigyan, the eldest among the two to be through to next round. But Abhijeet gave bronze medal to both the brothers.

Abhigyan is called on stage during the second round in Mumbai. He sings Albeli Nar preetam Dwar Khadi.

Jatin – You deserved to be champ in Saregamapa Bengali and now you are through top 6.

So, Abhigyan gets silver medal.

Shyamanta sings Mariya Mariya.

Usha Utup – Performance was brilliant but your pitching was not correct. But sorry to say, you are unfortunately not selected.

Now, its turn for girls…

Antara Nandy from Kolkatta has special qualities in her and is a lover of old songs. During the audition round, she impresses Alka and takes the bronze medal.

Antara is shown playing with Ananya of Mumbai who has skin problems. Ananya says, she has very few friends with Antara being her friend.

Antara says, “Ananya is my lucky charm and would want her to be there in every performance of hers”. Antara sings, Aap ki nazron ne samjha..

She is through to next round. She is given silver medal and is now in top 6.

Next to perform is Sreeja Chakraborty from Assam. She sings Pari hoon main.

Suresh ji – You sang well but it was not impressive and you were unable to hold a grip to the song.

Shreyasi Bhattacharya from kolkatta sings Kahe ched ched mohi. Alka says, she had given audition for little champs before two years but was not selected.

Jatin says, you have to give positive reaction to whatever I say and Shreyasi comes out with a silver medal. Jatin was tooo impressed by her that he gives her silver medal himself.

Mumbai Audition

After Kolkatta, it’s Mumbai’s turn to prove their talent.

The first contestant among boys is, Sailaab. He comes in Gajini style and entertains Abhijeet. But he is not selected.

Next one is – Sayantan Paul who sings Bheegi Bheegi si hain raatein. He is selected for the next round and Abhijeet says, though you are the youngest champ, I want you to give tough fight for others.

In the second round too he sings, Bheegi Bheegi si hain raatein.

Abhijeet – He knows just one song and that is this song from Gangster. Usha Utup asks him to sing two lines in Bengali and he sings the same song in Bengali

Usha Utup – I loved your performance but this time you are not in the final 6.

Another contestant from Mumbai is – Raza Khan. He is the son of an auto driver and a small AV on his lifestyle is shown. But he is not selected in audition round.

Next to perform in second round is Ananya. She says, she has some skin problem and so has very few friends with her. Her mother adds, she takes part in all competitions and gets first or second prize. A doctor certifies that, this disease is not contagious and is more genetic. Her mother requests people not to show any sympathy and select her fair and square. She sings Tu mungda.

Suresh Wadkar – Today you cannot be selected because you are not well prepared for the contest.

Audition round is shown again where a very cute girl Afsa Musani entertains the audience with her bubbly nature. She gives tough time to Alka, making her address Afsa as cartoon and nautanki. She behaves in a very sweet manner. Alka requests her to be her detective and keep an eye on Abhijeet.

Thus the episode comes to an end. For now, the selected ones are:

The show beings with contestants sing Hari Om Hari Om song from Karz.. Urmila and Himesh enter the stage while Himesh starts jumping on stage.. Aditya welcomes the audience and says, Monty will be back on Ocotber 17th and welcomes the mentors.. All the mentors introduce their gharana and Himesh also joins them.. Shankar tells Himesh, You are only part of Karz.. So, forget this Rock, dhoom, lakshya or Jai Ho.. Himesh says, SRGMP is my house and so allow me to be here.. Himesh requests everyone to watch Karz.. Himesh says, Urmila is life of Karz.. Shankar says, She is the life of our industry.. Himesh then continues to praise Urmila and Satish Kaushik for acting and direction resp.. Shankar and Aadesh praise Himesh and says, he is also a very important part of Karz.. Himesh says, I am the worst looking monty. I would request the audience not to compare me with the superstar Rishi Kapoor.. Himesh requests everyone to watch Karz.

Pritam – You have made the music industry proud.. Its possible only in the west that a rockstar can sing, compose and also act.. But you have made it possible in India as well..

Satish Kaushik is welcomed by Aditya and asks, how does it feel to get a big packet like Himesh?? Satish says, I have got a big packet.. Please applaud him for the passion he shows.. His passion is like injection.. I still remember getting a call one evening which was from Himesh.. He asked me to come and listen to the song he had composed.. The song was Lut jaun and it has definitely created history..

Himesh praises Satish for his direction and says there is a tiwst in the 2nd half which Satish has brought in but after this twist, the story is same as original.

Kaushik is called on stage.. Himesh says, My voice is very unconventional and so dont compare it with my voice.. He is going to sing very well.. Kaushik of Lakshya gharana sings Lut Jaun Lut Jaun.. MD – Himesh.. Singer – Himesh and Harshdeep. Kaushik forgets the lyrics, but Shankar requests him to be give a second chance.. All the mentors agree and he continues with the second anthra..

Aditya says, there are two things common with Satish and Kaushik.. One is Kaushik and the other is weight.. Aditya says, he has increased weight and Kaushik says, its because he has started going for gym.. Aadesh asks if its Weight increasing gym..

Aadesh – This was very average performance.. He asks what is the reason and Shujat says, Its not for sympathy, but I have a sore throat. Aadesh gives Hit

Shankar – It is one amongst the weakest performances.. It did not blend well and there was no emotion.. Hit

Himesh requests Shankar to sing few lines from this song.. Shankar sings the mukhda.. Himesh requests Shankar to sing the anthra. Shankar says, he has forgotten the anthra.. Himesh sings the anthra along with Shankar and says Shankarji, you are outstanding.. He gives Shujat a Hit

Pritam – Next time, you will get the song of your genre.. So, dont worry..

Urmila – Keep up the good work and your voice will mesmerize us in the future.. She also asks Bhushan how he liked Shujat’s voice.

He requests Himesh to stand beside him while performing so he can get the confidence.. Himesh stands beside him during the performance.. Audience request for once more and Soumen sings the song along with Himesh and Shankar.. Urmila, other mentors and contestants also join him during the second time performance..

Himesh dances few steps from the song and says, becoming an actor is very difficult.. Yashita says, we all know Urmila is a trained singer. So, request you to sing few lines for us.. Urmila sings chura liya hain tumne jo dil ko..

Aadesh – The song you sang few days before for me has been finalized and it will out in the market soon.. History.

Himesh – Before the finals, there will be many contestants who will become a playback singer.. I would also request the ment not to misunderstand me for supporting girls.. They are definitely good and deserves to win..

He asks her if she knows Urmila and Asma says, she has seen an old movie where Urmila was a kid and she looked very cute.. She also adds that she is in search of an actress and director for her film.. So, she wants to give a chance to Urmila and the other man (Here she referes to Satish)

Asma of Rock gharana sings Jhalak Dikhlaja. Singer and MD – Himesh.. Aditya dresses as a ghost and comes on stage. He says, he is a ghost from Oman and has come after listening to the song..

Pritam – You have shown amazing improvement.. You have good voice quality and today you were also surila.. Asma is very happy and says I will distribute sweets today.. Gives History.

Aadesh – You sang well today.. History.

Shankar- He asks her if she thinks she can get marks by cracking jokes.. Asma says, she is here only for singing.. Shankar praises her for showing this improvement and says you have made me happy today. History.

Himesh – You have to work hard.. You are an immature singer while comparing to other contestants..

Satish – This man has become a big fan of yours.. You can go far ahead..

The show begins with Aditya and the contestants singing chal zara zara sa from chak de India.. The stage is designed like a cricket pitch.. They sing a song where Aditya calles the name of every contestant and they come to introduce themselves.. It is an episode dedicated to ICL (Indian Cricket Leaque). After the introduction of contestants, Aditya sings – Chak De saregamapa.. Aditya welcomes the audience and every guru introduce their own gharana.. Aditya announces that today we will celebrate ICL along with world class music..

He introduces Kapil Dev and he comes on stage.. He gives an introduction about ICL and says this time ICL has grown..

Aditya says, today instead of flop, hit, superhit, history there is – Boundary and Sixer.. The song will be rated whether it was a boundary or sixer..

Tarun and Kaushik are called on stage.. Aditya says, there is a tiff between Tarun and Kaushik.. They also have commented about each other back stage..

There is a AV shown where Tarun and Kaushik are accusing each other.. Kaushik says, Tarun has been teasing him because of his appearence.. Tarun says, Kaushik told him he is a bhajan singer and he shouldnt be there on this stage.. Shankar asks Kaushik to stop this and not bring it on television. Aditya says, this fight has gone so far that they dont even talk and if left this way, they will continue.. Shankar asks them to clear it out now.. It is not only Kaushik who accuses him but even yashita, Zaheer and Asma say he is very arrogent.. Yashita says, he abuses everyone and later on say “Jai Mata Di”.. Tarun asks apology to all the contestants.. Asma asks if he is asking from the heart or he is just saying for the sake of saying sorry.. Tarun is little rude even then and says, I always say Jai Mata Di and end the matter.. Thats what I will do now..

Aditya announces that Tarun is in bottom 3..

Himesh – I am feeling very bad.. He asks Tarun if he has anything to justify himself in front of these contestants.. Tarun has nothing to answer and says, he is what he is..

The director asks him to sing, but he refuses.. He says, he cant sing after all this.. He says, he wants to withdraw from the contest and leaves the stage.. Other contestants, director and mentors make him understand and he comes on stage..

Tarun of rock gharana sings chak de phatte.. Bapi-Tutul.. Singer – Kailash Kher.. The audience ask for once more.. Aditya tries to continue with the show, but due to demands he is forced to stop and Tarun starts singing.

Yashita – I enjoyed the performance.. You kept the personal things aside and applaud you for singing this well..

Kaushik – I have never questioned his performance.. He sang very well..

Shankar – I will give a 6

Aadesh – This was your best performance till date.. 6

Pritam – I will give 9

Tarun – I will give this performance credit to my father.. Whenever I didnt have the mood to perform, he used to slap me and ask me to sing.. I remembered that and sang today..

Kapil – No one is to forgive the other.. Dont loose ur temprement.. Live the life the way you feel like..

Tarun apologizes again and asks his co-contestants to give him a hug and make friendship.. They all go on stage to give him a hug..

Pritam – Even after singing well, you have got eliminated.. You definitely have a great future ahead..

Aadesh – This is not your loss, you have a long way to go ahead..

Om Shanti Om Stars on the show

The show begins and clipping of Om Shanti Om is shown.. Then they show the stage where Vishal and Shekhar are singing the song Ajab si and then they sing oh haseena.. On the stage portrait of SRK and Deepika Padukone is kept.. Shreyas and Deepika enter the stage when they are performing.. All are enjoying.. ID is shown whistling for the song..

Aditya greets VS, shreyas, Deepika and invites Farah Khan on stage..

FK – We all love SRGMP, contestants and most importantly the judges and ofcourse Aditya.. Deepika has already been introduced by Himesh and she is a fabulous actress..

Himesh – Farah is here and she is the best director in the industry.. Shreyas is an outstanding actor.. Deepika is going to get all the awards and is to be the best actress in the industry.. SRK is already a King Khan and six pack..

Farah says, Himesh is number one in positive energy..

Aditya asks Farah to say something about the movie.. She says, the music is already a hit and is number 1 in charts.. SRK is there, so everyone will watch it.. Next is Deepika, and then Shreyas and 4th is VS.. They have done excellent job.. She also says, the audience will get one CD each..

She asks VS to have Raja’s version of song in the next CD.. she also adds that only sukhwinder can sing this song, but you proved it wrong.. Raja says, I spoke to Sukhwinder as VS made me speak to them.. She then says, he will be proud of you..

Himesh – Want can I say, you were outstanding and VS gave the most hit song to you and did partiality.. Tumne toh Aneek ki chutti kardi.. Vishal asks Himesh not to bring any such thing atleast in this round.. Let the competition and comparison be there in its place and lets enjoy music.. Asks all 3 contestants from where they are and whats their age.. To Amanat he says, his family also was there in Pakistan.. Amanat says he has visited that place and everyone in Pakistan loves him.. He gives a message for Aditya and says I know you from the time of Pardes and always call you as Off Beat singer.. You are doing a great job and making your parents proud.. He also wishes all the viewers luck

He then speaks to Amanat and says its good that he has come from Pakistan and I always feel that both countries are the same and there is no difference.. FK – You sang much better than the original.. I have to agree with ID that though even I have judged certain competitions, we have not been able to find singers like these people..
Deepika – Though you sang close to original, there was so much Amanat in the song..

Himesh – Tumne aaj dho daala sabko.. This show definitely deserves to be number 1 in TRP.. You sang so well.. Asks him for whom he sang for him or Deepika.. Aneek replies for both.. Himesh is very upset with this and says, from the beginning I have been your guru and in just one day, you changed yourself.. Tell that you sang only for me as I cannot share the love with any deepika.. Aneek says, no – I sang for both.. Deepika asks him to say that he sang for Himesh.. To ID he says I have not met you after Devdas but always see you on TV smiling and getting serious with these contestants.. To Himesh he says you are number 1.. I havent yet watched your movie but I will definitely do it and I am sure, you have done a great job..

Raja sings Chaiyya Chaiyya from Dil se

All of them come on stage except Farah and dance.. All 3 contestants sing the same song together.. Himesh says Raja is number 1 and says its tough to decide for the audience as to whom to vote.. Aditya asks the mentors to decide who is the titan of the day.. Himesh asks Farah to decide this.. But she says its impossible.. They all have gone beyond marks and cannot choose one.. Himesh says its all because of music and VS have done excellent job with the music.. Farah says its not only music, but the singers have equally done a great job here…
