As we already know that RajaHasan is extremely busy in recording songs and doing performances. He is the only singer who has got so many songs in Bollywood even after loosing the final of Saregamapa Challenge 2007. Recently Raja and Mauli recorded a song for Bhojpuri film. Mauli specially came down to India from USA for this recording. Good news for Mauli Dave’s fans…She sings two tracks in Mitul and Mukul’s new album ‘To Kya Ho’. Now I know you will ask who they are … They are two brothers for whom music is almost second nature and much more than just a way to fame. They sing, they compose and write their own music. They are US-based artists who have already begun their climb to success (Their first album was Sajaniya).
Now what’s special about this album…Our beloved Mauli Dave is featured in the two tracks of this album. The first one is ‘Dil Dhadakne Laga’ and the second one is ‘ Kaisi Yeh Deewangee’. I really liked her voice especially in the second track. In ‘Dil Dhadakne Laga’ I feel the composition is very soft one and her sound doesn’t suit for this song. But anyway, its way better than her performances on saregamapa…
Even though he celebrates his birthday on August 6, Aditya Narayan threw a party for his friends on Wednesday. The host of Zee’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, turned 20 in the company of his friends and family.But Aditya Narayan seems to have a special music playing in his heart for contestant Mauli Dave. At a bash the duo sat away from the other contestants and later took the dance floor.
And if you look at the picture alongside, it seems Aditya has more than just ‘good friends’ on his mind, as he homes in for a closer look (at Mauli’s neck, we presume?).
Says Aditya, laughing, “Hota hai! Kisiki bhi aankhen ek jagah nahin tik sakti. Aur vaise bhi mujhe 15 days se conjunctivitis hai, to meri aankhen bhatak rahi hain! (It happens! You can’t keep your eyes fixed in one place. As it is I’ve been suffering from conjunctivitis for the past 15 days, so my eyes do tend to wander!)”
Mauli too endorses Aditya saying, “It’s okay. Such pictures are always taken at an opportune moment. They can say one thing and mean something else.” Wah, wah, Ramji, jodi kya banayi!
I can’t believe it but it seems to be true. If the sources to believe, can you guess who is at the top this week? No its not Raja..nor Aneek and not even Mussarat..Its Mauli Dave from USA who got the maximum votes and she is the number one for this week ( I pray to God this wont be true). If its true I will bet you this is totally manipulated by Zee TV to increase its TRP. For the heaven sake, don’t play with emotions of millions music lovers (and don’t insult music).
But more shocking news is that Amanat and Harpreet are at the bottom three along with Abhijeet Kosambi. I don’t want to spoil the suspense by revealing who got out. But it’s really crossing the limits by putting Amaant at the bottom three.
In Friday’s episode (22nd June) Mauli Dave has got green card and entered in final Round of Agnipariksha while Shreshtha who sang very well and was apprecialted by all Mentors got eliminated from saregamapa Challenge 2007. What is your opinion on chakravyuh Round? Who was better singer amongst girl? Shreshtha or Mauli?

Vishal – Shreshta was the best today. Mauli is great performer but for singing she needs to figure it out. Shekhar – Mauli, the aalap was great but after that sur was flat and pitching was not perfect…Shreshtha was awesome ID – Shreshtha sang first time really well but Mauli is performing consistently well so we need singers who perform consistently … BL – Shreshtha sang really well but Mauli also performed well. BL says Mauli is Shakira of India …and he will prove it…

Vishal – Being a Sindhi I was feeling lonely but you sang a Sindhi song and made me proud. Shreshtha it was wonderful performance. Mauli you need to work hard on your lower notes. Shekhar – Shreshtha you have powerful voice, Mauli you could have done better than this BL – The Dama Dum song is very common and has been sung many times at the stage.. So, nothing new.. (what does that mean?) Mauli follows the record a lot and copies too much… HR – Shreshtha you have done a fantastic job..outstanding..Mauli is one of superior and star contestants of this show. Mauli is performing very well consistently and she has huge fan following…If suddenly Mauli is out of the show then it’s a big JHATKa…I would say Mauli shouldn’t be out today…
Is there any justification for such comments from Himesh? How can he says Mauli shouldn’t be out today as she has huge fan following? So ‘Fan following is more important than singing’?

Who says talent hunt shows don’t help singers to build their career? Twinkle is the best example for this. She was contestant of saregamapa challenge 2005 but got eliminated in early round. However, with her stage presence and looks, she got a role in Zee TV’s serial. And it seems Mauli Dave is on the same road.
With her rocking (?) performance of Maiyya Mayya in first round, she has become popular not only in USA but also in India. Even though she is still working hard to prove her singing talent, one can’t ignore her star values. And Zee TV didn’t miss to capture her popularity and invited her as a guest on one of their serials ‘Parivaar – Kartavya ki pariksha’. Mauli Dave performed on the same song Mayya Mayya in the recent episode of ‘Parivaar’ soap. After watching her performance and her dancing ability, no wonder she would get break in TV soaps or even in movies.

Sets of Zee TV’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge’ is buzzing with talks of host Aditya Narayan, Udit Narayan’s son, and contestant Mouli Dave involved in a romantic relationship. All the contestants of this music show tease them about the close proximity they share with each other.Mouli, a graduate from USA and Aditya, a graduate from London, are both extremely fond of English music. Initially they gelled well because of this interest, but thereafter, the duo is always seen together.
A source says, “Aditya and Mouli usually prefer to be away from the crowd and talk to each other for hours together if time permits.” Others on the set have witnessed their chemistry too “Earlier too Aditya has shown special interest in Mouli. When Mouli was getting ready for her photo shoot Aditya ran to her green room to wish her luck.”
When approached Aditya agreed that Mouli is a special friend, but denied being romantically involved with her. “I am close to all the contestants. There are a few whom I share a special bond with and Mouli is one of them.” He adds, “Many a times when we start discussing English music others feel left out and hence these rumours.”
In this week Mauli Dave didn’t perform very well. In Saturday’s episode her performance was below the expectation. She sang ‘Main edhar chali mai udhar chali’ but everyone felt that she sang below average. But Himesh Reshammiya asked her to perform ‘Mayya Mayya’ and she did it well.
On the other hand, Anita sang better than her and even got appreciation from all gurus. However, as Mauli got second chance, it seems like Mahaguru had judged Mauli on her Mayya Mayya performance. Otherwise, Mauli is the one who would have been eliminated. After such low performances, what do you guys think….Mauli Dave should be eliminated or She deserves to be in the show?
- She is 19 years old. - She is daughter of Hemant and Dipti Dave, sister of Omkar Dave, and granddaughter of Mahendra & Sumati Dave and Shankar Dave. - She is studying in 2nd year of college at University of Houstonwith ‘Graphic Communications’ as major. - She has done ‘Rangapravesham’ in Kuchipudi classical dancing in the year 1999 at Ahmedabad. Mauli learned Bharatnatyam from her mother Dipti Dave. - She was finalist in ‘Boogie Woogie, Chalo America’. dance competition organized by Sony TV in the year 2003. - In August, 2006, during participation in NRI Antakshari organized by Annu Kapoor, Mauli’s singing talent was much appreciated by all the visiting members from Mumbai. Annu Kapoor expressed that she has lots of potential and deserves better platform. - Mauli, with her brother Omkar had her first Bhajan album (CD) titled “Prabhu Tare Pagathiye” released in September 2006. The bhajans are in Gujarati and have been comoposed by Omkar. The music arrangement is also by Omkar. Mauli, Omkar and Hemant have provided vocal. The recording was done in June, 2006 at studio Mrudang, Ahmedabad.
