The Challenge 2005′s winner Yalgaar Gharana belongs to Well known composer Ismail Darbar. In Challenge 2007, Ismail Darbar selected 4 contestants from India, one contestant from Pakistan and one from Dubai.

Two of the four previous gharanas have been replaced – Aadesh Shrivastav’s Jai Ho and Jatin Lalit’s Dum have now been replaced with “Josh” and “Hit-it”. JOSH Gharana now belongs to Bappi Lahiri. Bappi Lahiri has chosen 4 contestants from North India and one from Pakistan and one from USA
