  1. Thanks to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa for presenting so many good singers, and letting them remain singers only rather than so called “package” or “complete package” like other programmes do.Needless to say that the best selection of singers has been in sa re ga ma pa only however Surkshetra is also good in terms of singer selection but format is not good. Another good things is that you are not even changing the genres of singers so you contributed a classical singer (Amaan),a rock singer, 3-4 playback Singers with versatility and one very good Gazal singer in Jaijim Sharma,it will be too early to say but Jaijim will give a freshness to Gazals among listeners in next 2 years or so if he can choose some lively gazals with good lyrics !! Once again thanks a lot and please convey the same to all the Singers…..

  3. I have watched Sa re ga ma pa for a long time. The selections of candidates seem so clean and depend solely on voice quality, and “sur” ability. I truly see a lot of effort to make this selection talent-based.

However, I would like to see an addition to this programme detail – why dont you choose a voice- quality based duo match for certain kinds of music – for example – from the current (Dec. 8, 2012) show pair Madhuri Dey and Shehnaz Akhtar for exceptional voice-based quality and have them perform a song like Mohd Amman and Jasraj as well as Borwankar and Shenaz, Bowankar and Maduri (already presented – fantastic) etc. This would add another dimension to your efforts at presenting new voices and their styles.

This show (one or two) could be held just before the show that announces the winner. This would open up avenues for both the singers and music directors to pick some new duos. Solo selection is the easiest from your programme.

Above all KEEP THE WINNER SELECTION BASED SOLELY ON VOICE QUALITY AND STYLE WITHOUT MUDDYING IT WITH PERSONAL DIFFICULTIES AND PERSONAL EVENTS IN THE LIVES OF PERFORMERS. This is the way to a CLEAN SELECTION!!!!
