I agree that Nitin is a mature singer and can not be call as little champ. all of them are very good singer. The way how Alkaji has said that Azmat does not know reading he is just memorising the songs, just think how much efforts that child has to put in to that citeria to remember every song without able to read which does not give him photogenic memery and he has to listen to remember. Look the original talent he has in deapth of music, he always starts his song at the correct notations always play instrument with his fingers to judge the right notations and can take different alap tan inbetween the melodies and come back to original notations all the judges and guest judges are very powerful music people and every one has been surprised with this young wonder. Niladri has sang so many Classicle songs this is his own comfort zone, when they both have tie Jatinji should have announcd combined winner, instead of puttin two very young boys in a very stressful condition by asking them to sing it again.. poor Azmat cried and that is not fair. same way he did very best with SAlman infact he was better in sharpness. I am so sorry for the people who can not see the improvement in clarity of words and the growth as singer has been very high. at each and every episode We all could understand each and every word of Azmat song. If you see the result of Zalak dikhalaja, Sushant was a constant better performer but the growth of learning was shown by Miang Chang and that made him winner, that is what this all shows about. We are not looking for accompanish singer we want some one who has shown maximum growth in this journey as a singer and that boy is undoubtly Azmat Husain.. He is the best little wonder Zee has ever got…
When Azmat is in full flight, there is generally pin drop silence. All listen intently as to what he will do next, his improvisation is way beyond his years. Diction etc are easy to correct but God given gift of the quality of voice and ability to translate it into music is something that can not be learned. Azmat is gifted, we have to admit it.
Exactly Sanjana ji we have to keep these in mind when we vote…dats why they give Janata the vote..becoz in this case u have to have a little bit of humanity to understand this childs situation!
One has to remember that Azmat has had the least amount of formal training, that is why he said that he copies (from others) when asked during audition. And, one’s formal education also matters. I believe that once this kid receives education, at least high school, and receives formal training in music, he will be one of the greatest singers in India. I do hope that Javed Ali will guide the little fellow, beyond this l’il champs contest. Javed seems to have a kind heart.

Versatile singers sing on railway platforms and trains. Accomplished singer all have their genre. I do hope I never hear versatility as a virtue in excellence as in my opinion it leads you to me mediocrity.
It appeared that Azmat was sad or depressed for some reason during Sept 23rd episode. He shed tears when Salman was judged to be better although Azmat was phenomenal. He was not even excited when it was revealed he is in the first position among the 3 finalists. Jay Soni had to force him to give a smile. I hope he will be in a positive mood on Sept 24th episode.
I believe that this episode was a disgrace to Z-TV for allowing a “Gunda” and “Mawali” and a low life like Jatin Pandit to be on such an excellent talent show where kids of india are being groomed for bright future of the nation. What Jatin did to Kailas Kher was very shameful and inhumane.
Yes, it is mystery why Azmat was so depressed; generally he takes things in his stride. It may be Jatin’s negative energy. No one seemed happy on 23 September. I did not enjoy any songs; I am not sure why but the whole show was a pain in the …………..!
Good observation, you are right. That abnoxious fool Jatin made the whole show a very tense affair. It was tension for the little champs as well as for the viewers. For Sept 24th it is Anu Malik as Mahaguru. He is far better.

The whole discussion between Kailash and Jatin made them upset and cry. So sad. Only Adnan and Javed knows how to behave when kids are present. What these kids will learn from all these celebrities. I found it very hard to see tears in these kids eyes.But this is life and they have to learn at this the facts of life.I agree that the guest was not very pleasant and the contestants felt that and were tense.The selection of the three top was fair.
No matter who looses or wins this is a great experience for the kids.This show is a great example of a beautiful relationship among the judges.I hope they all get a chance to give their best performance.

Umm.. this episode had ‘scripted’ feel about it. Last week, Ram Sampath was a true a*hole, but this meanness and fight seemed staged. You could see all the kids staring at the judges fights without much interest. They all seem subdued and tensed. They all sang beautifully but none of them were smiling.
The show was saved by some phenomenal singing by kids — as always.
Where does Alka Yagnik go away so often ?
And why they make Azmat cry ALL THE TIME ? They should be charged with child abuse.
I loved Niladri’s singing from the beginning. Good luck to him. As I have said before, last 10/12 or so kids are all winners in my mind.
Jatin was a total ass. What a pompous fool?! his conduct was so comically out of place, one would have thought it was scripted and put on, except that I dont think it was. You can see that being an obnoxious ass comes naturally to him. He bragged that he taught Kishorw Kumar and made Lataji sing – yeah right, this ass isnot qualified to lick their feet. One feels happy that this washed up clown is hardly getting any work in the industry anymore, althought Bollywood is still infested with murderers like Salman Khan.
I think Salman won that challenge, fair and square. That doesn’t mean that Azmat was not great – Salman just outsung him. Why can’t people root for their favourites without putting down other contestants?
I completely agree with you. Azmat is tanlented but his singing doesn’t leave much impact, it is not clear. And the voice quality is ok too. But Salman and Nitin both are talented with good voice quality. The real competition is between both of these singers.

Thanks for comments. The organiser also sometime insists to catch hit of the moment to increase TRP. But, being a Mahaguru, Jateen should have conducted himself gracefully and guided the little boys with precious advice on the shortcomings and how to overcome them. Instead, he chose to blow his own trumpet by saying that he and his ealier generations held Sangeet Visharad recognition since long time. Are baba, you share some valuable tips and do not demotivate the boys. In the anxiety to increase TRP, there is going be less demand of repeat telecast of the programme.
AZMAT is my favourite. He sings very nicely. no one can compete with him. he is really a very different singer.
He is like a little twinkle star in the sky.
Being in New Jersey in the US, I have been watching ZTv since 1992/93 when Antakshari was telecasted. Superb productions….. my hearty compliments to ZTv ….Needless to say I love SaReGaMaPa especially Lil’Champs. But this year ZTv has out done itself as far as producing the show …but as a producer and direct myself I following suggestions for you:
- At the point of Dabhang Dus team division should have been dropped and guru’s should have taken turns with the talents. This would have brought out their “versatility”, a point that we as audience love to see.
- Alka Yagnik who is an excellent singer should have never been Mahaguru ( may be a guru, Adnan is probably more qualified for that job), it should have been a revolving set of composers.
- If you truly want an audience poll declare the number of votes received and perhaps locate the areas they came from …YOU MUST REMOVE BIAS …and make it a true competition..
- Please HIRE better fashion consultant…. The clothing that was seen especially on the kids was at time outrageous.
- Love Jai Soni, but never his outfits ..equally outrageous and would also love to seen him shaven and shorn, the “for ever 5 o’clock” shadow is so passé.
- At times it seems that Madam L Mangeshkar is influencing this show tremendously, please find a way to stop her or anyone else…Perhaps you should make it a part of the guru’s contracts that they should judge according to their individual and authentic understanding of the music.
With regards to the left over contestants, it would have been ideal to have a three way with Rimsha, Azmat and Salman. In fact Niladri ( was shocking to see him go)was better qualified than Nitin. For all his talent, Nitin is limited in his singing abilities and definitely far from versatile… plainly quite boring. The most MUSICAL talent ever seen on this stage is Azmat – for his age he far exceeds his ability and understanding of music. In all ways he deserves to be a BIG little champ.

why was maha guru Alka ji not present in finals and previous three episodes of lil champs.Nobody even mentioned anything about her absence. Is she laid off from lil champs.
I am surprised and searching the web like anything for what happened to Alka Yagnik? She is missing since after the last episode with Pyarelalji. I am sure she couldn’t bear all the manipulations going on at Zee. Since Gajendra Singh has left show has gotten a weird taste. First we had enough of Abhijit and now tolerating as much as we can to Kailash Kher. I am much interested in knowing how these people treated maestro singer Alka Yagnik.

Agree. Nitin is a good singer but Alka Yagnik did Niladri a great injustice. Niladri has such a melodious voice.

Was sad to see Niladri cry – I think this episode he performed some of his best songs.
At this point, I am rooting for Salman to win it – he has been great from the start, he is a sweet kid, and I think he deserves it the most.

Zee TV made a mess on Sept 23rd. But they did well on Sept 24th. That was quite enjoyable. Good singing by kids and Anu Malik was fantastic.
