I was not too sure in the begining of the show as I was expecting Dhairya and Afshan again. But for sure, Jai has slowly made us all his fan through his good humour, his loving and caring attitude to kids and a great presence. Jai has a significant contribution in making a success of this show; anchors are very important.
KK is beyond any description; I am still trying to figure out whether he is giving comments or making a political speech ending in “namaste” or “naman karta hoon”. His comments will make a good comedy if they were not so verbose! I have not agreed with Alka on occasions but I feel she tries her best.

Only + point of it is, he makes Editor’s job very easy – he can stuff or snip KK’s comments to set timing and nobody will find anything out of context.

That’s hilarious. If they do get the most votes (which may be the case for Azmat but is questionable for Salman), they get them based on their MERIT, on their TALENT. People, at least I hope this is the case – vote based on talent and NOT based on somebody’s relgious affiliations. So why try and link their religious affiliations to the number of votes they get?
I don’t know if this was your intention or not – but the way you phrased your comment, it sounds like you are implying that there is some sort of favour being done to Salman or Azmat, that even though they are from a “minorty” group, they are being given “the most votes”.

I agree Niladri is good, and obviously he is talented or else how would he have made it to the top 18 in the first place – but I don’t understand this whole “versatile” or “complete” stuff. To be versatile, or a compelte singer, you can’t just sing songs in a variety of genres – you actually have to sing them all relatively well – which I don’t think Niladri can do.
I think each of the other kids in the top 4 (Azmat, Nitin and Salman) are just as good as him with other genres – whenever they do try different styles, they sound pretty good too – the only difference is that they don’t try different styles each week, they tend to stick to the same kind of stuff (at least in my observation). I think it has to do with their mentors too, because with Niladri being on Adnan’s team, and Adnan having a somewhat different musical style than the other judges, he seems to push Niladri towards picking unconventional songs and genres (ie. Jazz, etc).
Kudos to him for attempting different things.. but that does not make him “complete”. Just my opinion.
Just quoting mahaguru, she didn’t say he is a complete singer in the fullest sense, she did say out of all the contestants he is the most complete
singer. I like how he sings and I wish he could be in top 3, but my favourite, my #1 pick is Azmat
Actually, I thought it was great that Mr. KK spoke up for Salman – his singing was definitely not as bad as the others were making it out to be.
I think Adnan and Alka-ji could take some lessons from him in terms of speaking up when something unjust is happening – neither of them spoke up to defend Niladri, and that was unfortunate.

Even as I am reading these comments, I am listening to Niladri’s “Aisi Laagi lagan” for the nth time and trying to shoot my imagination – Azmat, Nitin or Salman singing the same song in their respective voices with their expertise – it is not a very encouraging thought from what I imagined. Command on music notes or a great voice is not the point here, not about versatality or being a complete singer, it is not about enjoying a song while singing or listening, not about connecting with audience or judges, not about TRP,votes or win. It is about the powerful and almost permanent impact a voice/ song can create on masses/mind. Niladri has several such songs to his credit and if he had sung any of the other songs, his fellow participants had tried, it would be with equal finesse and perfection, may be better.
He was a runner up for Sa Re Ga Ma 2010 in Bengal. I remember Alka saying that she met Lataji who gave two names as probable winners -One is Salman (who indeed is teenager’s craze for all the wrong reasons apart from singing)and Alka did not disclose the other name. Nitin had the Veto to his benefit so he will probably be ruled out by public voting soon; Azmat is terrific with his choice and voice however his cautious efforts reflect – He is cute and does all the right things at the right time – irritating Priyanshi,controls chorus, musicians, even Himesh – However found it ridiculous when everyone kept saying he is the youngest – There are other participants of the same age and I wonder how those kids felt.
Niladri’s singing seems effortless, melting sort of. I hope Lataji’s second choice is Niladri!! He has been my first always.
I felt like commenting here. I give Niladri point for being kid. But if you hear Manna Dey singing ‘pucho na kaise’ you will figure out what is missed. Niladri was almost flat. I was disappointed that day by the judges that others were criticized (by Javed) for their mistake but no one noted the Niladris flatness. I thought either the Judges were not aware of the song itself (like Javed was aware of the other song) or they were partial because of some unknown reason.
Did you hear the same song in Manna Dey’s voice when he was 10? I did not. Is the dynamics of vocal chords maturity with age and its direct impact on voice range new to anyone?
I am inclined to agree with you that Manna Dey could not have been singing likle Niladri when he was 10. I also go with you about level of comfort enjoyed by singer when voice range expands with age….then comes the ‘relative’ degree of comfort enjoyed by all 4 ( sorry only 2 are of same age ) of our li’l champs at present.
That is just baseless speculation. I do not know about 10 or 11, but, Manna Dey was an accomplished vocalist at a very early age. He was trained by his uncle who was a very accomplished vocalist himself.

I am prompt today while watching 23rd sept episode. I personally think Niladri is good singer but he has got some noise in voice. But this is not the point I want to emphasize. I USED TO THINK KAILASH IS A BIT RUDE. I HEARD OF JATIN-LATTI PREVIOUSLY. BUT HEARING THE STATEMENT OF JATIN (OR Yatin?), I HAVE SERIOUS QUESTION ABOUT THE PERSON’s QUALITY NOW. HE IS SO RUDE AND HIS POINT FOR JUDGEMENT IS SO ABSURD (e.g. he says, since he made some one sing like what he wanted, he becomes great; or he thinks since Niladris voice touched him, Niladri is better singer than Nitit etc etc) THAT I DONT FIND HIS JUDGEMENT USEFUL. I ALSO DONT BELIEVE THAT A PERSON WITH QUALITY DOES GET SUCH ARROGANCE AND IGNORANCE. [What are the great songs did he compose? I heard Kumar Shanu did some of them? I am not sure.] I think, saregamapa should consider a lot before inviting any one as judge.
Shishir ji, I just saw the 23 Sept episode. I agree with you. Jatin is not sensitive enough for little kids. It was sad to see Niladri go and also heart breaking to see Azmat put to tears first time in the show.

The three judges in the board are too good. Adnan is sweet and supportive, Javed it too much a gentleman and best one judge for zero-partiality and Kailash (whom I thought little partial earlier based on few comments; but confessing now as probably mistaken) is also trying his best to put right judgement on the table. But they all love the little champs. I am sure, they will cheer up all the kids who leave the stage.
I think judgement should now onward be left on gurus and maha-guru only, neither public nor 3rd guest. We cant differentiate talent at this stage.
It is sad to see Niladri going out; but that is the right decision public has made comparing relative performance as a whole since one had to go: purely my opinion.
Who should win you guys think? Here is my imagination:
(1) Azmat (winner): He is born artist and music is in his nerve. He does not know as much as Nitin knows, but Azmat will catch up fast I believe.
(2) Nitin (2nd): He is well studied. But have missed to show power of voice that Salman or even Azmat has got.
(3) Salman (3rd): His voice is too good — the power stays over music. But probably not as versatile as other two. Rafi’s song he sang previously was way out of control and missed the soothingness (personally I found him singing in nose). I want to hear Azmat singing romantic songs!
I do not think there is anything to be sad about. They all are equally good. Elimination of the 4th and 5th must have been by only a handful of votes as it is hard to choose one from the rest. But among the top five contestants, two were eliminated and brought back by veto powers. So, they all are champions in my eyes.
Sept 23rd: Azmat was again #1 in last week’s voting. Followed by Salman and then Nitin. I feed sad for Niladri, but I think that the public did the right decision.
Jatin Lalit was so arrogant. He thinks too much of himself! It is so pathetic of him to try to show off. Evne the kids must be thinking what a useless fellow!
Neil, I agree regarding Jatin. What a volatile, arrogant and “ghamandi”. In this instance I felt sorry for KK. KK was most gracious against the peronal attack from Jatin. I don’t think Jatin’s style is suited for kid’s show; he needs growing up himself but when???
