Saregamapa Singing Superstar 2010 is Here
Zee Tv’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar is all set to take the nation by storm with 18 melodious challengers chosen by a panel of 5 talented judges from 165 auditioning centers.
SaReGaMaPa Singing Superstar this season, embodiment of its mother brand aims to give the country its very own singing icon, who has a voice that we can proudly say is the ‘Music Ki Nayee Awaaz’. .
Also to live up to their legacy, right from the set design to the selection of anchors and the judges, everything has been done keeping in mind the new identity of the pioneering show that has created television history for the past 15 years.
Saregamapa 2010 judges are Daler Mehndi, Sajid Wajid, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Rajviani. However, Shekhar couldn’t make his presence felt due to his prior commitments but we managed to receive individual excerpts from the mentors and the host Purab Kohli about their outlook towards the show…
Daler Mehendi: I have been following this show from a long time and we just hope that the singer we are trying to find on this show should be better than what we are. We want the person to be be four steps ahead in portraying his/her versatility when it comes to singing. And if we succeed in finding such a singer then it would be a victory to the entire team of this show.
Vishal Dadlani: Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is a place from where genuine singers are born and so I and Shekhar have seen this platform as an opportunity where we get to see and guide singers who later in their life turn out to be national singers. So it’s a big honor for us to be a part of this show.
Wajid: In a lyrical way said, “Singing is a diverse river where the singer who rises up on the wave sinks into it and the one who sinks into it is the one who really rises up in his life.” So I’m here to search that rising star of India.
Sajid: The stage of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is our favorite ground and so our aim on this show would be to make these contestants realize their own potentials and make them capable enough to create an identity for themselves and I think we will really do well in that.
Purab Kohli: I myself am a music buff. I have earlier been associated with a music channel for long but haven’t hosted a reality show. I feel it’s going to be a great learning experience for me. I’m going to be a spokesperson for the 13 contestants.

Hello Respected Sir,
Vishal Ji & Sekhar Ji, Deler Mehendi Ji, Sajid Ji & Wajid Ji.
At first please take my regards all of you, I am Subir Singha from West Bengal (INDIA).
I am viewer of SAREGAMA show science 1995-96, when Sanu Nigam Ji was the anchor
of the show and some years latter Sekhar Ji was a contestent of the show. As well as this year
I am waching this show with same energy, because I think that this show is the grand father of
all the reallity shows and I have music fever from my birth. Muhammad Rafi Sahab is my idle,
and he live in my heart till now.
I am very satisfied to your selection of best 54. mainly I like to say all 54 singer is good.
But in the episod of 20th aug, I heard the song of Fareed Hassan and I think that there are not
single contestent participate in SAREGAMA science the birth of this reallity show. I was comfirmed
that Fareed Hassan is one & only singer who deserve the ever best trophy of SAREGAMA. I think you are
also agree with me.
Unfortunately I miss the show of 21th aug, then I wached the episod of 27th aug, and I am surprised that Fareed Hassan
is not in the list of best 18, then my friend said to me that Fareed Hassan was absent for his high fever, so he out of this
show.
I am very harted. because it is unfortunate matter for SAREGAMA. SAREGAMA is hunted best singer in the world
but the matter of Fareed Hassan disqualified, I can say that SAREGAMA platform lost the best singer in the world
Fareed Hassan was disqualify for a system, not for his singing performances. But system is for man, man is not for system.
So I prey to all of you, please get back Fareed Hassan to this show if there is provision, and I am sure there is a provission.
In 2008, Anik Dhar was the champion of SAREGAMA, he entered in the show in special way, I remember the day Mr.Ismail Darbar
was proteste about his entry, but Vishal Ji was support him.
If Anik can get entry like that, then why not Fareed Hassan.
At least namaskar all the mentors, musicians, producer of zee tv.
If any offence held by me, then please forgive me
I want to see that Fareed Hassan come back.
Thanking all of You
Subir Singha
Hi all,
I have been a die-hard fan of Zee Saregamapa for the last many years. I would never ever miss even one episode of this show, for anything in the world. I have always believed like millions of other Indians that this is the best music reality show in India – where the quality of contestants and judges are the best. There are many other shows that are more jazzy than Saregamapa. The reason why this show rules is that Saregamapa puts music above all.
But this time around, I am a little disappointed about the approach of our mentors. They are all, needless to say, some of the most talented and best musicians in the world. But I feel that they are not being honest to the budding singers. I feel that they are not showing the mirror to our young participants. They let go of most performances with comments such as – super, outstanding, mind blowing etc. At best, there would be one or two comments saying “sur pe dhyaan do!”, without specifying where, in which part of the song did they falter.
I believe this is not helping them at all.. Either there is a feeling that these are all just contestants of a show and that they are not going to be Sunidhi Chauhans and Sonu Nigams one day; and what difference will it make… or there is an innate fear of being seen as critical and negative, hence this whole effort to be nice to everyone… This absolutely doesn’t help. So if the most talented Rajeet Rajwada is singing only Ghazals and lacks variety, then like Vishal ji did, they should all speak out in unison and not just have an approach of “you scratch my back, I scratch yours”… Similarly, when Sniti sang quite a bit out of pitch, we did not hear any of the mentor commenting on that except Rahman saab who said “pitching was here and there”. Sniti I believe is a very talented kid and with her unique voice she can actually be an accomplished singer one day. But I feel the mentors are not helping her do that.
My idea is not to single out someone. It is the case with everyone of the contestants. Be it Dipanita coming into danger zone, not knowing where she erred or Harnoor getting eliminated after receiving “great performance” comments… the kids may be dazzled, I am sure…
So mentors, please help these kids improve. Please give your honest comments and help them improve, rather than give them feel good comments and ignoring them.
sir,i’m Ekta from West Bengal.i’m a big fan of Kamal Khan from your gharana.mai unke bareme janna chati hu.but unka koi orkut/facebook profile nehi hai.unki gayaki mujhe pagal bana dia hai.pl une kahiega apne bareme kuch likhe.
My favourite participent in boys is Kamal Khan.Among girls in singing Sugandha Mishra is the best. All the mentors-Vishal,Shekhar,wajid,sajid & Deler Mehandi sir make the se all perfect as you. Among all judges my favourite is Vishal sir & rest also.
I have noticed that after A.R Rahman comments on sniti every single mentors start praising her…from my point of view Sugandha mishra is the best among all the girls…one more thing was really disapointed when the metors start fighting…
i want to the sang the song
