The show begins with a Shradhanjali to Mukesh saab as it’s his birthday today.. Udit Narayan is the neutral judge who praises Mukesh saab and says he is one of the pillars of this industry.. Alka Yagnik praises Mukesh saab as a person and says, he is a great human being as well as a singer.. Abhijeet also talks about Mukesh saab and all the judges get to their seats..

Dhairya says, Mukesh saab’s first film was Nirdosh in 1941 where he not only sang but he also acted in the movie.. Abhijeet introduces Udit and says, he is the only husband who calls his wife with a respect putting Ji to the end of her name..

Performance…

Abhijeet says in a humorous tone that the first contestant is the senior most in this contest.. Swarit is called on stage.. He sings aansun bhari hain yeh jeewan ki rahein from Parvarish. Singer – Mukesh.

Alka – It’s a very cute side.. You are so young but your songs are too heavy.. Every word had expressions though you didn’t know the meaning of those words..

Afsha asks the audience to clap so as to invite the celebrity guests.. Dhairya welcomes Imran and Ravi Kishan and asks them about their upcoming movie Luck..

Imran – It is a wonderful movie and hopefully you all will have fun..

Ravi – I play the role of a psycho and it was fun playing the role..

A trailer of the movie is shown and Dhairya starts asking more questions, for which Afsha asks, are you a teacher or monitor?? She then adds, you take breathe and allow them also to take breathe.. Dhairya and Afsha clap hands while Imran and Ravi take their seats..

Afsha says Shreyasi always sings beautifully and asks Udit if she is right for which he replies, you can never lie.. He tells Shreyasi, you sang very well.. You caught the sur right.. This movie made our life and has too many memories attached.. When we were in the recording studio, Alka ji sang really well and I was not confident how I would sing as I was really nervous..

Alka – Qayamat se qayamat tak is a movie which is really memorable for all of us.. Me, Udit, Anand Milind, Aamir, we all were very excited as it was the first film for all of us.. I can even today feel that moment..

Imran – I have done a small role in the film.. Dhairya replies, you look exactly like Aamir now..

Abhijeet – I felt that Alka ji was singing.. Udit says, Alka kal ka aur aap aaj ka..

Imran – I feel so embarrassed to say that I have never listened to this song.. But I thank you for introducing me to this song.. I will go and buy the CD of this song to listen to Mukesh saab’s version..

Alka – You are a very steady singer.. You sang well..

Ravi – Concentrate and sing well as you have to make our state proud..

Abhijeet – This combination of Mukesh and Salil has been very different and difficult to sing.. I will give you marks for this song selection..
