Saregamapa Challenge written update – 3rd Jan 2009

The show begins with Vaishali, Soumen and Yashita singing a rock song.. There is an video created exclusively for this song featuring the top 3.. Aditya welcomes the viewers and says, the top 3 contestants have become very famous and the proof for it is the innumerable fan mails they are receiving.. He says, Some Unique fans have come to support the top 3 today and introduces 3 people from various sections who are an avid fan of the show as well as the contestant they support. Yashita is supported by the group of auto drivers, Vaishali is supported by a group of fisher women and Soumen is supported by a group of porters.

Yashita is called on stage.. There is a clipping shown with Maneka Gandhi’s message.. She says, I have come to know you love animals and you are trying your best to protect them.. My best wishes are always with you and hope you can do wonders with your beautiful voice.. Yashita sings, Khwab dekhe jhoote moote.. Singers – Monali Thakur and Neeraj Sridhar.. MD – Pritam

Himesh – He first starts very seriously and then says, Superb, Fantastic, Mindblowing, Outstanding, History.. Yashita asks him why was he sounding serious.. he says, I am missing Shankarji and sings tum ho toh gaata hain dil.. Some clippings of Shankar is shown..

Aadesh – I want to come there and bless you.. Singing this song in one go on stage is not very easy..Pritam says, This is not a very easy song.. She handled both male and female part very well.. Aadesh says, Even history is less for you..

Pritam – He compliments her for trying some innovative methods.. Today, she is holding the mic to her throat which gives out a different voice.. Pritam says, India needs musically intelligent singer like you.. This is a very positive quality..

Soumen is called on stage.. Soumen’s fan is Mitunda and his message is shown as a clipping… He says, he likes his singing and asks him to win the show and make everyone proud.. He asks soumen to sing, Dostana song Jaane kyun.. Soumen sings the same song.. MD – Vishal Shekhar..

Vaishali is called on stage.. Aditya asks Vaishali if she can guess who her fan is.. Kahiin na lage mann.. She has prepared a lot for this song and I can assure that this will be a flawless and best performance of Saregamapa till date.. Vaishali requests Himesh to accompany her on stage.. She sings Kahiin na lage mann.. MD – Pritam.. Singers – Mohit Chauhan and Shreya Ghosal.

Comments:

Pritam goes on stage and gives her a hug.. Himesh says, this is the best performance till date.. Aadesh says, I always take up challenges and was keenly listening to you but you didn’t go off sur even at one place.. Himesh says, This performance will re-write history of Saregamapa..

Pritam – She definitely has sung very well but my request is dont use the sympathy factor everytime.. Himesh defends himself and says, there is no harm in using the factor for a good singer.. He starts shouting and screaming while defending himself.. Then Aadesh says, there is a good news and that is, “Vaishali’s husband is recovering and that Aadesh spoke to him continously for 5 minutes today”.. Himesh then says, all the blessings are with her..

Soumen Fans – Pray that Soumen wins.. We enjoyed the performance.

Himesh – Give you history.. He asks Soumen to sing Amitabh’s song from coolie for his fans – Saari Duniya ka bhoj hum uthate hain.. Soumen sings few lines along with Himesh.

Pritam – You went off sur at certain places but overall energy was good.. You are a very good singer.. History

One of Soumen’s fans come on stage to give him a gift.. It is a licensed porter tag.. His fan ties it for Soumen so it can bring good luck for him..

Vaishali is called on stage.. Her fans ask her to sing a Marathi song.. MD – Ajay-Atul. Singer – Vaishali Sawant..

Everyone appreciate her song and she is asked to sing again.. Her fans join her on stage and gift her with a toy fish.. The opponenet mentors give history..

Yashita sings Babuji zara dheere chalo.. MD – Sandeep Chowta. Singers – Sukhwinder Singh and Sonu Kakkar. Her performance is appreciated by all and her fans enjoy her song.. Her fans gift her with a Number Plate written, “Yashita, 57575″.. All the mentors give her history.. She sings the song once again which ends the show..

Hope She really gets a nice deal in the studio..not some third rate second lead in the chorus as the majority seem to be getting..

ZeeTeeVee seems to have got an “Aadesh” for the continuing presence of the Asma`nee Apsara… wouldn’t it be better if she goes back to her poor Mamma??. Plus she has to hunt for locations for her magnum opus..

I have been saying it again and again that he should be banned from SRGMP – look at his behaviour against the other mentors – no comparison at all. Himesh is really a person from the gutter and should remain there!He “spoils” the whole mood of the show!
