Saregamapa Challenge 2009 written update – 10th Jan

The show begins with Yashita and Vaishali singing Mora lal dhupatta mal mal ka.. Soumen and Aditya joins them by singing Dhupatta tera nau rang da..
Aditya welcomes the audience and also the mentors.. Himesh says, the mentors will continue doing the Bethuki Shayri.. Aditya announces that today’s theme is – Old song and New Song.. One contestant will sing both old song and new song on a same subject..
Performances:
Soumen is called on stage and asked to touch the SRGMP C2009 trophy so he could feel it.. He does so and then sings meri upar ke nau jawano.. MD – RD Burman.. Singer – Kishore Kumar.. And from the current era he sings Deewangi Deewangi from Om Shanti Om.. MD – Vishal-Shekhar. Singers – Sunidhi, Udit and Shreya Ghosal..

Vaishali is called on stage.. She is also asked to touch and feel the trophy.. She says, she would take it in her hand only in the finals.. Aadesh asks her why is she always surrounded by politicians for which she replies, she loves to get into politics.. Aadesh advices her not to get into politics and concentrate on singing.. Vaishali says her first love is music..
She sings honton mein aisi baat.. MD – SD Burman and Lata Mangeskar.. From the current era she sings, Hont rasile tere hont rasile..

Himesh – Your winning is for sure.. After saying this he starts proving the point for hyping Vaishali.. He defends himself saying, It is important to let public know about the other qualities of a contestant.. Aadesh says, Her voice will speak.. There was no one to hype Himesh, the composer and he became popular because of his music.. In the same way, Vaishali will also become popular because of perfect sur.. Himesh says, being a mentor, he would do what he feels and doesn’t require any advice from anyone.. He also asks, Why do you think that public will listen to me?? Aadesh says, You have the freedom to do whatever you want, but I want that public decides the winner based on their performance.. Himesh ends up saying, I have the rights to promote and bring out the best qualities of my contestant..

Aadesh – The second song had great range, expression, attitude and the list goes on and on.. God Bless You.. History. Yashita says, she is not keeping very wel and so lost sur at many placesl.. Aadesh says it happens with everyone and that she was very good in the 2nd song..
Himesh – I never wanted you or Soumen to get eliminated.. Today I can proudly say that my decision was not wrong.. History
Pritam – You have again proved that you are a versatile singer.. Aadesh says, I was amazed at the 2nd performance of yours.. There are many who try to fake with their attitude but the attitude is in built in you..
Aditya asks who is the best among the three today.. Himesh asks Aadesh to announce the result.. Aadesh says, This is a sangam.. Each one has the best in them but but none of them were good today.. Pritam says, if you ask us, we would take the name of our own contestant or maybe the other gharana contestant.. So, we cannot decide.. Himesh again starts his argument.. He now starts pointing fingers at Pritam.. He says, if he had to take his own contestant name, then he would have never requested for both the contestant to be in the finals.. There is a heated argument after this and a voice over says, the shooting was stopped for 3 hours.. Then the show organizers discuss it and solve the issue to bring back the mentors on the show..

Promo of Dance India Dance is shown and all the mentors wish luck for the show..
Aadesh is then asked by Aditya who would get the spice mobile today. Aadesh says, he would like to take the help of Pritam Puran today which says, all the 3 should get the mobile.. So, Aditya gifts the mobile to all the 3 finalists..
Aditya announces that there will be 3 shows one each in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkatta.. The 3 finalists would be performing to get the support from the audience..

You believe Himesh decides everything (such as who goes to final etc)in the show ! What makes you think Himesh is so important in the music industry ? Is it his underworld connections or T-series connection?
I go with T-Series.
himesh will play tapori role in a film being made bt t-series.he is confident that he will live that role as everyone here is backing him to the hilt.himesh has 3 more films and he will act and compose music of those films . whatever he is doing in zee’s show at present is nothing but rehearsing his lines for TAPORI character.
more you curse that guy more powerful he will become and all the curses will be heaped on you with interest .all that poisonous attack on himesh is your investment(karm) and you will get back your capital with interest in this life or the next birth.

Do you mean Vishal (of Vishal-Sekhar duo)discussed the fix with you ? If he had any proof, why didn’t he go to the media and team up with Mr.Ismail Darbar.
I had read several interviews of the duo and heard them saying Aneek truly deserved to win and so did Raja, but they thought Amanat was the most matured one ready to hit the music industry at that moment.
on a different note :
All music directors like Himesh, Aadesh, Ismail Darbar, Pritam etc should learn from Mr. A R Rahman how to be a successful MD and still be humble. These directors should stop the mindless blabbering and let their music speak for them.
Congrats to Mr. A R Rahman for his recent win in the Golden Globes. You make us proud !
That is because he pays more attention to his music than arguing with people and showing off. His work speaks for itself.

Vishal and Shekhar are equally biased. Didn’t you see JJWS all these judges are crap they are here to fill their pockets with easy money.What did they do for Raja other than make him sing some crap song which is gone and forgotten. What about their promises to Sumedha, Debojit,Junaid etc.??? They just think viewers are idiots to be sucked in their traps.

Your right, HR is a fool and I feel sorry for his wife and family that has to tolerate him. I am sure there are more talented singers and music directors that they can replace him with.

yashita is singing weak because she is musically weak. Hello!! I really dont like the fact that yashita is getting a free ride because of this everyone should win crap. She was an embarrasment in the semi classical round and has always been leaning on style rather than substance. Even singers like sunidhi chauhan who are damn stylish in there singing style are damn good in there sur. This yashita is all over the place. Bad luck for vaishali, she has to face two competitors instead of one. Whay did zee buy into this 3 way final nonsense?
I agree yashita is becoming an embarrassment towards the final weeks. You are right about the guilt. You could see it both in Fridays and saturdays episode. Pratibha is surely a better singer. If style is what yashita has, then Mitika had both style and singing but she got eliminated long time back though I cant figure out what the hell happened. Mumbai people probably have just too much free time and send SMSs tirelessly.

I got so upset with the way this show us ran that I had to respond, first Vaishali should bot use her poor childhood as an excuse, she has made it and she is there on the program. She should say thank God and depend on talent and not sympathy to win. As for Yashita, well there is not much to say there, she has talent, there is no doubt. But the most versatile singer there left is Soumen, he deserves to win.
As for the gurus, who put Himesh there. This may sound cruel but he looks like a in the closet gay! This is not an insult, if there was anyone to be insulted it would be the gays and he should take that sorry excuse of a wig off as well as all the blush he wears. He needs to understand this program is to promote young and up coming talent and not a forum to boost his sorry self! He should spend more timing learning not to sing thru his nose and to actually write music and stop making everything about himself. The other gurus can. Does he not see what an ass he makes of himself….I feel sorry for his wife!

Himesh seems to be an uneducated person because only an uneducated behave in the manner he is behaving. Dont worry guys in film industry after a certain time people like Himesh are not to be seen at all.
I am sorry for Vaishali because if she loses it will be only for Himesh. Anyhow she is more interested in politics and she knows that Himesh is good in playing politics. Good for both of them. Vaishali wanted a stage where she could be recognised and this is the best one so that she can easily enter into politics.

Vaishali no doubt is the best singer and HR is doing nothing but promoting best singer !
And these double standard people like Adesh-Pritam also promoted personal life of Debojeet dutta-Asma, Yashita earlier.
Now since HR is left with best contestant and Preetam has got Yashita who is not even worth reachin Top 14 , Adesh is left with very average Soumen, that’s why they are jealous !
Yashita should have quit on her own after listening to Jagjit singh’s comments, he showed Yashita her right level !
Zahir was good , Naina saxena was so goood, I wish they were the remaining 2 finalists with vaishali.
But anyway, Zahir’s progress wasn’t possible bcoz of obvious reason, even Mitika was good option than besuri Yashita.
HR has a new name by me Hysteric Himesh. Such an Idiot. It is Vaishali who is already a winner but Himesh thinks he is shaping her career. Simply Idiotic. Himesh himself probably sing a duet in her scale with her as beautifully. But I still am voting for soumen because he is way ahead of the other two.
I think all Guru’s play politics in one way or the other but the only differnce with HR is he too emotional and shows that he is playing politics but the rest of Guru’s espically Aaesh is very chalak, game bhee khaltay hain our kisee ko pata bhee nahi chalta. I m not too good to judge the best singer but I think Vaishali is the best out of three, & i must say Himesh is the WORST mentor & judge I ever seen.
