What i don’t understand is how does the voting works because what i viewed and for whom i voted was the top scorer in percentage as it says to vote for your favourite so how come the one who scored the least is still here. I think the guru should stop bringing on stage the problems of their respective contestant on front line to get symphathy votes. The major thing to be considered by zee saregamapa is to stop this bloody green card entry so as to let the selected contestant by elimination having their real and i’ll say decent chance to reach finals and not come half way and be finalist. They won from a competition so now it’s others turn. Yes it can be done by organizing a competition just for the winner from different competions to compete. Then it’ll be best of the best. Pratibha you are the best and now who ever win the competition i damn care but it’s shame.
I have never seen such a cheap, selfish, suckup and hypocrite judge like Himesh. He thinks like he is the best. There is something called self respect. He publicly kisses other people’s ass….and then pushes his views as 100% right….One of the most racist and sexist person deep inside I have ever felt….
That is why Salmanbhai dislikes him & pulls his leg in public esp on SRGMP stage.I heard that Besharmiya used Salmanbhai to get ahead in Bollywood & discarded him later as per his usual practice.
I’m extremely sorry to see Pratibha go- she is the best, next one being Yashita. Vaishali is ok but does not merit No. 1 posn. On the whole the 2007 singers were of higher caliber than these ones- Anik, Raja, Amanat, Mussarat, Junaid(among boys),and Poonam,Mauli,Sumedha were far better than Soumen & co.
I think yeshita deserved it or shouman.. prativa was the best out of all the singers. i watched the show only for this girl. I don’t care who wins now! i hate the biasness of indian publics. stupid bhaishali can’t even say the word thank u right..she is always like “thanku” and using her husband as sympathy. Yeshita is always doing some stupid drama to get sympathy. i hate this show now the three contestent that i hated throughout the whole show are the top three.

Vaishali has a special depth and timbre in her voice that we see only in the classical greats like Parveen Sultana, or R&B singers like Aretha Franklin. She should break out of the playback singing mode as soon as possible. She is destined for greater things.

I used to see this show only for Pratibha…now that she’s gone..the charm of seeing the show has gone..no matter who wins..i wish “Himesh’s” rock gharana never wins. All the best Yashita/Soumen.

The formate of this show keep changing year after year in a pressure from other shows. Today we can see that these shows including sa re ga ma pa are going away from their roots i.e. exhibition of classical songs , oldies songs,true singing talant. It looks like now it’s time for only Dancing, other melodrama, affairs, jokes, promotion of all upcoming films, promotion of judges and their fake promises and crude comments. Look at Sonu nigam mthe pioneer of this show and way judges of that time. Public voting system is simpli like a “bandar ke haath me Ustraa (knife)”. God bless all this shows with a true sense of true indian sangeet exhibition nothing else.
I think in current 2009 series Vaisshali Mhade look like and deserving winner, because her tonal quality, expression in singinf, clerity in voice and pronounciation correctness, language control, Sweetness in her tone fits todays playback singers qualities. Other contestants are also talanted like Debojit, shouman, Pratibha, Yashita…..but finally I always compare them with the singers in Saregamapa in Sonu Nigam’s time because those were the solid singers with whom we can always compare todays participants to just get an idea that how talanted these singers and where they need to improve. Afterall singing talant is god’s gift one can improve upto certain limit by Riyaz. From this discussion forum one thig is sure prople love Indian music in todays hip hype and western culture attack time that is nice.

I AM STAYING IN MUMBAI WHILE MY DAUGHTER IS IN NJ USA.I ALONG WITH MY FAMILY MEMBERS AND FRIENDS HAVE ATTENDED ABOUT HALF A DOZEN RECORDINGS OF SAREGAMAPA. I POINTED OUT TO GAJENDRA SINGH,THE DIRECTOR, ABOUT THE CHANGE IN CONTENT OF THE SHOW AND HIS REPLY WAS THAT THE ADVERTISERS ARE PRESSING FOR INCLUSION OF RECENT HITS AS THERE IS A GENERATION GAP.I AM REPEATEDLY TELLING THE PRODUCERS TO INCLUDE OLD MELODIOUS SONGS AS HOME VIEWERS ARE MOSTLY SENIOR CITIZENS WHO HATE POP MUSIC.

Thanks Mr.DEVKISHIN VYAS (MUMBAI) for replying my sentiments expressed in this blog few days ago. I agree with you that format and many other things have been changed of this show because of the pressure from sponsors and other X-factors. Being a serious viewer/listener of Indian Singing reality shows(although I am also trained singer) I love truely melodeous indian film music/singing. We are addicted to watch or listen Singing of it’s Class and perfact. But when we come across some messups, stupid judges, film promotions and many other bogus activities other than truely heart touching singing…that realy hurts all viewers. I hope when next time you attent any recording of this show in Mumbai please put forward my voice and voice of many dedicated viewers that please stop this nonsense and try to show some quality, simplicity and reality in the show.
Very interesting that Aadesh said that he had a 5 minute convo with Vaishali’s husband when she’s consistently been saying that he cannot speak! Is she trying to manipulate votes in her favour? is that why Aadesh said she would make a good politician??? Himesh needs to get a life! I am tired of his annoying ramblings and his inability to shut up and let others have their say! He totally disrespected Pritam in this episode!

As a neutral observer/listener, I like Vishalis voice. I find sweetness and softness in her tone.
