I think they did it to have people’s mind diverted from the fact that they do not have melodious singer DEBOJIT with them anymore!!!
With DEBOJIT DUTTA’s exit, this show has just lost it soul. Now, this show really stinks like D-grade singer HIMESH RESHMMIYA..
Yes Guys, This show is going to be worst after Debojit’s Exit. Now they started business type drama and that is the reason that other GURUJI from precious show left. God bless Himesh and his team for future show.
Actually i love saregamapashow, and have been watching since years, today was little upset after watching vaishali crying bcoz of that horrible prank by Aadesh, stop doing all these kind of things, the show will loose its essence as a real singers programme,
Also, as every year this happens, all the good singers go home and only couple of them stay in top 5,its all because of voting system, Debojit deserves to be the winner,
….the chotu sardar and sashi deserves to be in the top 5 actually, Soren is not bad, but comparatively he cannot match suvinder sardar or sashi or Faraz Butt or tarun sagar,…Even last year this happened with Musarrat Abbas and Junaid,..
Anyway, now i think it should be either Vaishali or the lovely funky singer Yashita !
Vaishali is amazingly good when it comes to soft songs, but i like to listen to the songs of Yashita, i like her attitude while singing…;)

If Debojit Dutta is out.. I am not suprised at all. As this is a Himesh Reshmmiya show. The mokment he said. “one girl will win the show this time”.. I knew SAREGAMAPA will make this true by any means. Manipulative Himesh has done similar thing in the past.

What a show it used to be before!! A respected soulful show.. when Sonu Nigham used to conduct it. Now it is nothing but that nasal toned bore HIMESH show!!
It is safe to have DEBOJIT out than SOUMEN, as DEBOJIT is far better than every other contestant. It will not be suprising if we see mediocre (Vaishali) winning the show, as he she is from ROCK gharana.
I must say.. Indian Idol is thousand times better than SRGMP, atleast they do noy play dirty game with the contestant. They totally respect audiences response even if they do not like it.
This SAREGAMAPA show is nothing but a HOAX. a preplanned drama… a Himesh promoting show.. thank fully his movies started to flop in box office, so will this show in TRP.

Whatever you’ve said about HR is true.. but let me tell you my friend that you’ve got nice ear for music buddy.. you find Vaishali mediocre!!!

You have to decide first: is it want or won’t?
The final four in the show will battle it out but Vaishali is far ahead of the other three performers.In my opinion Vaishali is the ONLY consistent performer and barring heavy voting by the viewers in favour of any particular contestant Vaishali should lift the title.
1.Vaishali—95/100
2.Yashita—-60/100
3.Pratibha—50/100
4.Soumen—–40/100
Debojit was a good singer but was not very consistent.His ‘Saibaba bolo—’ was probably his best number.Debojit always gave his 100% and he sang with tremendous feeling and emotion.God bless him. I wish him all the best in his career as he is a good singer and a better human being.
some suggestions:
same songs for all three female contestants–e.g.rasik balma– and munghra munghra–
duets -with aditya and soumen
the madness has its limits but the judges as well as the contestants behaved as if they came from some mental asylum. a singing competition of international level and the sheer cheap and crude bufoonery cannot co-exist.for once the director lost his moorigs and everyone behaved like a fool.

I think Vaishali should be the winner of this title… I think Soumen too deserves it, lets see how the competition go..
Vaishali has a very soulful voice, but that doesnot make her the best singer. I really do not know what is the goal of Saregamapa show because there can be several aims. For instance, 1) Based on voice/tonal quality a) fresh and unfamiliar voice b)soulful voice c)playback voice. 2) Based on singing talent a)straight note singer b)classically trained singer but tend to overdo it c)somewhat trained and improvise with less risk.
Let the very educated junta vote………..
SAREGAMAPA SHOW needs to strictly concentrate on bringing out the talent across the country to forefront.It is nice to have interaction with bollywood people like producers,actors,music directors so that the new talent can be heard by those who ake decisions to use the new available talent.I think this year there were many distractions.BUT I am glad that talent still is shown on this show.Please keep up the good work you poeple are doing for the music world and in the lives of many youngsters who other wise would not have a platform to show off their talents.
Please note that keep the show for singing and not for the kind of things shown this year.

Soumen deserves to be out just like Debojit!They maybe good to be in the top 5 but definitely not in the top 3. Debojit was just over hyped by Pritam yet he cannot even speak properly and Soumen is just a mediocre singer.
Everyone has their fav 4 with certain bias including me. I feel that a good singer can be different than a playback singer. Vaishali, Debojit, Yashita and Soumen can be really good playback singers but Yashita is the only one who has a good range. Debojit really have problems with hindi just like Bappi Lahiri. His chances of making it big in bollywood is slim unless he becomes another wonderboy as Bappi da. There are numerous singers who can sing like Vaishali and Soumen, so their chances also seem bleak. The only singer that I can see a future is Yashita who if properly trained can be a good alternative to Sunidhi Chauhan.
Alternative to Sunidhi? She is still very much there and still rocking. I don’t think Yashita can touch her. Sunidhi is 1000 times better. She can do stage shows though. Poor peoples Sunidhi.
Well said, but you did not get the entire big picture. If you consider Sunidhi Chauhan as Lata then due to so much demand and love, Yashita will have to diversify as Asha did. As far as the word “alternative” is concerned, it is a very broad and promiscous word and can mean different in different context. Anyway, nice to see people getting involved in such a playful banter.
Sorry,I don’t think we can predict future. It depends on their luck more rather than quality of singing. In this era, music director plays more important role. He can make mediocre singer sound great with the new technology. So I don’t think successful playback singer = good singer. Anyway I don’t want to take any sides I would just enjoy a good performace and forget about who is better than whom. It is not neccessary to have one best singer. For example ,I like Lataji as much as Geeta Dutt depending on how well they sang a particular song.

If zee goes by votes anything can happen but if zee does not consider votes then it is quite possible that Shoumen might go since Adesh is the least glamerous judge.

i think this show is designed to bring out the regionalism in india, hell yeah bongs are voting for the bongs and the punjus voted for the punjus and the marathi for the marathi. i remember when i was in delhi they were running ads like ” pakistan versus delhi( pictures of sara and other pakis pitted against tarun sagar). its their godamned marketing strategy.
this show is an effin farce of the highest degree.
the earlier it ends the better it is for all concerned.
if i was running the show, only the names of the contestants would be revealed , not their cities or their religion or their countries. that would be the real test for the best singer ( who btw was zaheer this year)

I AGREE SHOW LOST IT’S FOCUS ON TALENT HUNT AND JUST CONCENTRATING ON MONEY HUNT. I THINK IT SHOULD BE BOTH. WE WANT TO WATCH SINGING COMPETITION BUT WE GET TO SEE DRAMA AND ONLY IN BETWEEN SOME SINGING. ALSO THE RESULT IS BEING DRIVEN AS IF THE FINALIST IS FIXED BETWEEN VAISHALI AND YASHITA. OTHERWISE WHY PRATIBHA AND SOUMEN WERE GIVEN SONGS WHCI DO NOT SUIT THEIR VOICE WHEREAS OTHER TWO WERE GIVEN SONGS ACCORDING TO THEIR VOICE QUALITY. SAME WITH THE COMMENTS- ONE SINGS LITTLE LESS WELL GIVEN SUPERHIT BUT OTHER SAME LOWER PERFORMANCE IS STILL GIVEN HISTORY BECAUSE SHE IS OVERALL GOOD. NOT FAIR!!!! Now that Debojit is out, this whole show has lost flavour and color. None of the contestants that are left, are singing with that “gut feeling” from inside. All of them sounds like they are “forcing” themselves to sing good. I don’t like this show anymore, because Debojit DESERVES(D) TO WIN!
I agree with some of the things said, Debu did deserve to be in the last 3 and I thought may be it will be Vaishali who will be out as she has limited variety or verstality to speak of. Though Yashita is good , performs good still lacks variations, Pratibha because of her breathing problem does look week, only Shomen so far looks good as a competitor. With Debu out now I do not want to see Vaishali winning it on sympathy votes, my vote now is for Shomen.

I know your kiles and dislikes by now! I have been reading your unbiased comments (just like Foxnews’ Fair and balanced news!) since the SVOI chote ustad show.
Yes Vaishali is much more better than Alka or Sunidhi. Unfortunately, she cannot be compared with Lata or Asha as all are marathis.

Debojit’s exit from the show is the most welcomed in this show’s history!
The entire cast and crew HATED him and his selfish personality. On top of that, he used to chase after all the girls in a sleazy way. The Zee staff had to take him away regularly from all other contestants – and especially the female ones.
He might have looked simple and innocent on TV, but he was far from it in real life! This was part of the reason he was eliminated.
The same thing happened to him in Indian Idol (Season 1)…and that’s why he was thrown out by Farah Khan & Sonu Nigam (the judges). That exit was fully televised as well, for those that can remember…
He did try to hog all the limelight. In duet round he gave hardly two lines to Vaishali.
zee team gave debojit no time to chase after the girls. monday bussy with show, tuesday music selection, wed,thurs,fri, he is out with zee crew most of the time out of Bombay busy perfoming show. Came back to his place just to sleep and nest morning he is out again with them some time they did not come back to town. Saterday practicing music and Sunday rehearsing. So please get your act together It is a bad thing imposing some thing on Debojit that he did not do.
This show lost its capable and versatile singer again like the other shows earlier. I predict that Himesh Reshammiya’s liking Pratibha will win the Saregamapa challenge. I don’t know why do all this drama and competition when they have already made the decision as to who will be the winner. Its sad that the right person does not get elected as the winner. Voting is terrible. We all are thinking of boycotting the show and not supporting the channel. We are a huge group of families and we think that Debojit is the winner and best singer among all. I don’t like certaing judges specially Himesh and everyone has the same view…BRING BACK DEBOJIT DUTTA!
Hi, I was wondering how come SRGMP 2009 did not audition anyone from Canada? There was absolutely no advertising about it. If SRGMP is open internationally, auditions should be publicized in each country that you’re receiving applications from. I am hoping marketing of SRGMP 2010 will be done in the same accordance as is being done in India, Pakistan and the US.

zaheer was a very good singer i agree,but now he is out so stop taking abt him.he should not be out but what we can do if the judges were against him not just judges infact whole india so it was matter of his life.he got threats so kehtein hain na ke jo hota hai ache ke liye hota hai shayad is mein bi khuda ki koi maslahat chopi ho ..bye guys and HAPPY NEW YEAR 2 all.

After watching all these singing reality shows (current shows and past) one thing is sure old is gold. Still no body can replace Sonu Nigam truely. The formate of this show keep changing year after year in a pressure from other shows. Today we can see that these shows including sa re ga ma pa are going away from their roots i.e. exhibition of classical songs , oldies songs,true singing talant. It looks like now it’s time for only Dancing, other melodrama, affairs, jokes, promotion of all upcoming films, promotion of judges and their fake promises and crude comments. Look at Sonu nigam mthe pioneer of this show and way judges of that time. Public voting system is simpli like a “bandar ke haath me Ustraa (knife)”. God bless all this shows with a true sense of true indian sangeet exhibition nothing else.
I think in current 2009 series Vaisshali Mhade look like and deserving winner, because her tonal quality, expression in singinf, clerity in voice and pronounciation correctness, language control, Sweetness in her tone fits todays playback singers qualities. Other contestants are also talanted like Debojit, shouman, Pratibha, Yashita…..but finally I always compare them with the singers in Saregamapa in Sonu Nigam’s time because those were the solid singers with whom we can always compare todays participants to just get an idea that how talanted these singers and where they need to improve. Afterall singing talant is god’s gift one can improve upto certain limit by Riyaz. From this discussion forum one thig is sure prople love Indian music in todays hip hype and western culture attack time that is nice.
