can some pakistanis confirm- apparently Zaheer was on a show called chauraha on Geo TV where he said that shiv sena pretty much forced ZEE to eliminate Zaheer and that someone had already been eliminated for that show. what a darned shame, Zee should be ashamed of themselves. Zaheer needs to be recalled asap, they should give him automatic entry to the finals. thats all.

I confirm ! I watched that show as well. Zaheer also said that some other participant was eliminated that week but because of threats he received from Shiv Sena, ZTV decided to eliminate Zaheer.

It goes to show you can try to sideline true talent but cannot ever bury them. Asma is back with a bang as the co-host, as the musical genius-in-residence, and the person who spreads nothing buy joy during this festive season.
Everybody should remember, nature-lover Asma loves the child-prodigy Debojit for his Himalayan-size talent for singing and Niagara Falls-size talent for dancing.
Aditya Narayan is a good hots but he definitely needs a better-looking co-host.

I have been an ardent viewer of Saregamapa since its inception but the current season promises to be end of my long association with SRGMP.. Yeh Kya ho rahaa hai?? Have you guys taken total leave of your senses!! Is this direction..LOL!! You really have creative heads who actually create this tripe..this putrid offal which was presented in the last episode which has to the most atrocious episode ever in the history of Music Reality show..
I know & endorse Product Placement..lekin ek Danda!! What the phoonk is wrong with you guys??…A whole episode dedicated to the search of the accursed Lathi..Does somebody need it so badly for some innovative anatomical misadventure??..Is The ZTV hierarchy full of Faltoo Fultoo Fans of Bodhitree the uber group who first gave the danda prominence in a song?? I agree that the episode of Dec 20th was the worst ever! I normally enjoy even eposides termed mediocre by the music pundits, because I am looking for time-pass. But I had to turn off the last show within 45 mnutes. Couldn’t bear to watch it any longer. Zee TV has gone mad.

Enough about Asma. Let’s talk about someone more special.
Yashita Yashpal Singh is the most versatile singer your show has ever witnessed. In spite of the tragedies in her life, she has managed to remain ebullient.
She is your 2009 winner! Please don’t choose anyone else for no one else deserves to win but her. She is simply one of a kind. When the Lord made her, He broke the mold, so as to only create one and only one Yashita. She is India’s next inspiration, a participant on your show that 300 million Indian children can profess to imitate.
I believe the name is Yashita Yashpal *Sharma*. Her mother is settled in Mumbai but they are Punjabi. No news on her dad – he’s probably a deadbeat dad.
Yashita takes inspiration from Asma. She looks up to her and values her advice. Asma taught her a couple of breathing exercises which helps remove excessive vibratto from her voice.
Will Yashita win? Let’s first ask Soumen and Debojit if they are withdrawing from the competition. Yashita easily blends in with the 300 million people you talked about!

This SRGMP episode was full of juvenile, sophomoric humor. Excellent! Narly dude! It was sick! Most of the contestants are teenagers including the host so what else do you expect. Most of the viewers are perhaps also younger than 25. It is time the older judges and viewers leave their preaching aside and view this show from Asma’s perspective.
Asma as a co-host is a welcome relief from Aditya’s monotony. Asma’s favorite singers are Debojit and Soumen – one of them will walk away with the championship.

This was an absolute trash. The comedy was cheap and beyond the threshold of tolerance.I turned the vol off during those full of crap spells of comedy. Asma’s presence was a nuisance, as usual.
Please let this be a musical contest.And please stop forcing Asma on us. There is a limit to digest the stupidity.
Overall the performance of the singers was bit low.
Asma is a talented singer.. geting learn day by day. why do’nt u see that.? when she were came she does’nt know how to sing. but now she sung much better than ever. the people who can only criticise her. they should listen their own voice first.. then criticise others.

RIYADH: A Saudi court has rejected a plea to divorce an 8-year-old girl married off by her father to a man who is 58, saying the case should wait until the girl reaches puberty, said a lawyer involved the case.
“The judge has dismissed the plea (filed by the mother) because she does not have the right to file such a case, and ordered that the plea should be filed by the girl herself when she reaches puberty,” lawyer Abdullah Jtili said in a telephone interview after Saturday’s court decision.
The divorce plea was filed in August by the girl’s divorced mother with a court at Unayzah, 220 kilometres north of Riyadh just after the marriage contract was signed by the father and the groom.
“She doesn’t know yet that she has been married,” Jtili said then of the girl who was about to begin her fourth year at primary school.
Relatives who did not wish to be named said that the marriage had not yet been consummated, and that the girl continued to live with her mother. They said that the father had set a verbal condition by which the marriage is not consummated for another 10 years, when the girl turns 18.
The father had agreed to marry off his daughter for an advance dowry of 30,000 riyals ($8,000), as he was apparently facing financial problems, they said. The father was in court and he remained adamant in favour of the marriage, they added.
Lawyer Jtili said he was going to appeal the verdict at the court of cassation, the Supreme Court in the ultra-conservative kingdom which applies Islamic Sharia law in its courts.
Arranged marriages involving pre-adolescents are occasionally reported in the Arabian Peninsula, including in Saudi Arabia where the strict conservative Wahabi version of Sunni Islam holds sway and polygamy is common.
In Yemen in April, another girl aged eight was granted a divorce after her unemployed father forced her to marry a man of 28.

Debojit, if he is indeed out next week, is the biggest winner because he has already made a niche for himself in the hearts and minds of all music lovers the world over. His innocence gives a certain ethereal edge to his voice that other singers can only envy. Soumen has some of the same quality. Vaishali is a good singer whose voice approaches a shriek on high notes. Yashita will be good on a stage or in a bar serving Mexican Corona. Pratibha will make a name for herself under the tutelage of the prince of Rewa and Aadesh.
