Hello everyone, I missed the last couple of episodes but will catch up on them. Went on a vacation to Cozumel – folks, if you haven’t been there, make it a must-go on your next vacation plan. I don’t mean the over-the-hill crowd – I mean the teenagers; they will have the most fun. Also, the crisis on Wall Street has my old man a little worried so I had to take a break.
I am back now and you’ll have the benefit of my fresh point of view.
I hope Asma is still around – thank you friends for voting her in.

@admin … I don’t know what you mean by ‘spaming’ – is that a typo? If you did mean ‘spamming’, how can anyone spam the board? Are you sure you’ve done your homework? Spam is an email abuse, not a message board affliction.
It’ll be a shame if you’ve blocked anyone because they used many ID’s – this is the worst kind of censorship and it can’t be happening in a democracy!
Take this advice from someone who is light-years ahead of you in social engineering: The best way to deal with multiple-ID bloggers is to expose them by publishing their name and email addresses on this board.

Agree with you brother. I don’t see any reason to block someone giving harmless comments with multiple ids! Adminji remembered to do it NOW when everyone is behaving nice and well. I wonder what was he doing when some people used W***#@ type of words?
I remember Anonymous’s comment – Mehfil, AgentX and Dockaul act like the “Mahagorus”(oops mahagurus!) of this site! They think they rule the forum….. everyone notices and knows whom/what factor they implicitly support!

No, they don’t rule the forum, but they do enlighten us by giving detail analysis of each contestant’s performance. And it helps people like me to go back and listen to the songs again with a different perspective.

First of all, we have to salute the admin for doing a great job in maintaining this forum. It is not an easy task. If it is required to block a few ids to maintain sanity in this site, so be it. I vote for Quality over Quantity.
BTW the “Vote for shashi” with the contact info was harmless but maha irritating. For that alone, I am thankful to $hashi for the cleanup..

The mahagurus you mentioned have substance in their posts. They are either educational or entertaining. Some other bloggers’ posts are neither. I’d rather have the mahagurus ruling this forum rather than have the “vote for shashi” types adding nothing but noise.

It was never a *requirement* to write educational or entertaining posts in this blog.So I don’t see the point why harmless posts should be removed without any reason.Everyone here has a right to express themselves and have their personal favorites ! Coming from a democratic country we should at least accept that !

I honestly believe that the admin’s intentions were for the good of this blog. I agree that ppl should not be disqualified just because they dont write anything E or E. I dont believe that was the admin’s intentions either.
My comment about E and E was in response to the “mahagurus” comment. Thats it.
Earlier today I was surprised to find all my comments deleted. But the admin did explain that during the cleanup process, many comments were deleted by mistake.
I do believe that the Admin will be able to efficiently manage this big a site if there is a block on multiple ids. We still have about 3 months to go before the grande finale.. so imagine the attacks that are lying in wait !
Moreover, I dont understand why we need more than one id? I am sure we all can back our statements without having to resort to multiple names from our own ids going “haanji haanji”.
Anyways, lets all loosen up, sit back and enjoy the rest of the season.. Tomorrow is another day, another “round”, another vote-off…

Everybody is welcome to write anything, anything at all, however ,decency ( The virtue ?)is demands that we all make a concerted effort to make sure that anybody browsing this blog feels like @home, majority of the people I know here and some who only visit the site to read the SPOILERS and enjoy the comments are all family oriented simple people who can definitely take a different perspective, but profanity, crass, and lowly remarks. I for one enjoy every bit of comment related to music or something in passing. yet we have no right to let it play with the sensibilities of the bloggers and browsers. we owe it to our self to keep it clean and decent. argument and difference of opinion are a mark of educated people, but we cannot let coarse , thick and obtrusive language take it to a point where the argument “misses the point” and simply appears to be a 3rd rate chant that no sensible soul appreciates. There is a always a better way of INSISTING on your point(s), using profanity and indecent commentary doesn’t make the point STICK, it only makes it ……> RETARDED !
@Basit, you are one heck of a guy and your comments are worthy of applause, I have been an ardent fan of your comments, both here and the “OTHER” blog. please do not feel that by removing your comments, shahsi had any ulterior motive along with your comments , my entire 2 cents worth posts are deleted, but as senty said, I think its OK as long as we can share our views in a clean and unobtrusive blog. I note with certain trepidation the absence of Agent X (da Pasha of Plentiful prose ) in your greetings to learned bloggers who are music lovers & give valuable time… Hmmm…LOL .. Is it just oversight or izzat your Multiple id which you forgot
Admin is not infallible; Admin can make mistakes, too. He may have deleted messages that were perfectly good messages like Eid Mubarak, etc.
That’s the reason we can’t rely on Admin to decide who or what should be blocked or deleted.
Admin should publish the list of folks who he thinks have multiple IDs, and then delete them after a few days. You may be surprised to see your name among them because, as I said, Admin’s judgment is the not infallible. His intent is good but he can’t be th judge, jury and the executioner – that’s ripe with the risk of not doing what he said he intends to do.
It’s a simple concept of checks and balances.
Now let’s talk about Mehfil and other unbalanced minds`prowling the real estate here. I disagree with them completely that India is divided by diversity but, even so, I’d fight for their right to say whatever the please.
Being falliable is being human, and yeah, admins can make mistakes too.. but the point is.. if nobody is there to control the anarchy, there wont be any fun left for you in being out of control, isn’t it?.. then you will complain again regarding disorder of the forum.. I would certainly go for sanity in this forum even if it costs me some of my “precious” comments..
We, the mahagurus (as per your definition) are just mere humans with limited knowledge, but whatever knowledge we have.. we share it in a positive way and enjoy it.. we do not try to SHOW OFF by saying “light years ahead of you”.. that, to me sounds pathetic (read in caps)..
I would welcome your comments and thoughts, only IF they are related to music, and express your thoughts on SRGMP contest or contestants.. they might differ from all the others, but would certainly give us another point of view.. YOUR point of view..
You are continuously attacking certain people just because of your own shortcomings and deficiencies.. and that proves how insecure you are.. being elder then you (most certainly) i can only suggest you to refrain from such, as it benefits you nothing.. but, If you DO want to go ahead with it.. its your choice..

I am really sorry if my motive hurts you in any means…I have only deleted comments made by people with multiple ids..in that process some other comments were deleted by mistake [if you delete comment, all the replies to that comment also lost]..I usually dont interfere in the discussions as i am not here to monitor the opinion of people..this is democratic blog and people can express their opinions .. In last season we dont have that facility and people spoiled the discussions with multiple IDs and i couldnt figure out who is who:-) but this time as we have better platform, now i can figure it out who is using what IDs and can block them[or moderate them] if they are posting comments with multiple ids or using foul language.
I know most of the bloggers here are genuine music lovers and I highly respect them for the invaluable comments they put into this site…once again i apologise if my motive hurts you in any means…
Your comments are all welcomed … lets music prevail in this blog…

I am not attacking anyone in particular – actually, I am challenging everyone who posts here to come out of their shell and see the talent and beauty of Asma.
