Pakistani contestant’s LOC
Sara Raza Khan, a Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 participant from Lahore, has laid down some ground rules for the producers of the show. She has said that she will participate in the show only if she isn’t asked to wear revealing outfits. Also Pakistani contestant refuses to say ‘Har har Mahadev’ or wear sleeveless dresses on music reality show
Sara confirms the news and says, “Ammijaan was a nervous wreck and was not very keen to send me to Mumbai, particularly because of the kind of clothes the women need to wear in front of the camera.”
Says an insider from Zee TV, “It’s true that girls are made to wear sexy outfits on shows. The glamour quotient is important. Today’s girls have no problems, but there was an issue when we finished with the audition of Sara. She is a fine singer and we selected her, but she said that she will not indulge in body exposure.”
Sara adds, “I am not going to wear any sleeveless outfits or short dresses. And I will never drop the dupatta while doing the show. I must add that the scene is different in Pakistan; there people don’t appreciate someone singing in reality shows. Though gradually they are coming around.”
Another bone of contention was the fact that time and again Sara has to say, ‘Har har Mahadev’, which is the slogan of her mentor (in the show) Shankar Mahadevan’s lakshya gharana. Santosh Shende, project head of the show, says, “Yes, Sara didn’t want to say, ‘Har har Mahadev’. But I guess she didn’t know the meaning of the words. And yes, we did explain to her that it simply means ‘God is one’.”

As a muslim, Sara refused to say ‘Har Har Mohadev’, that’s fine. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa authority should respect others religious sense. We should not forget that one reason for the partion of India and Pakistan was ‘Bande Matorom’ song. But for the Bollywood and Bollywood related musical reality show, we have to think in different way. Here a Hindu singer sing sufi song and muslim singer sing bhajan. If Sara’s family does not respect this secularism and harmony, they should not sent their daughter there.
If Sara refuse to wear a sleeveless or short dress, then I must say why she participated in audition? It’s not goona be fact for first three rounds, but when a contestent will move for public voting in Agni Pariksha round, it is important to singing with performance. That is important to survive in bollywood musical world today and that part will be difficult for Sara. She supposed to think before take part in. If Sa Re Ga Ma Pa authority allowed her backdated decision, then she will be looser. This will be good decision for her to drop the contest if she doesn’t want to change her stand.

Rules are rules. Why the hell is she taking part in an Indian reality show. If she rejects not to say Har Har Mahadew she should be not aloud to participate in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. But I remember, she already said ‘Har har mahadev” during her first episode.

Singers like Raja Hasan, Amanat Ali and Amir Hafeez never won because you all are very jealous and cannot accept the truth. These reality shows are fucking nonsense and the judges are pussies.

Seems to me there were some good Pakistani singers and some bad, and same goes for Indian ones. None of them seem to be ’star’ material yet. They have a long way to go. Faraz sang Bulla ki jaana beautifully but in the end he was still not as good as Rabbi, so you see the point is to find a UNIQUE PERSONALITY.
FYI Raja Hasan was not a Pakistani, he was from Rajasthan. And he came second. I think it’s just extremem paranoia and self pity that makes Pakis like you think that unless a Paki comes FIRST, the competition is rigged.
If Pakistani people support someone because he/she is a pakistani, how would we blame an Indian to support only Indian. Amanat won 2nd runner up not only with Pakistani votes, he got so many Indian votes to reach this position. But I’m doubted how many Pakistani voted for Indian contestents. Never forget that the World, even Pakistani peoples know Amanat or Musharrat because of SRGMP.
I would like to add for Sara that this is a TV reality show where she must act in front of camera. If she reach to Agni Pariksha round, and whatever position she will have, she will perform in so many stage show all over the world and we know how is that. We also know how SRGMP turns from Agni Pariksha round. We still remember how Sumedha faced show last year with rumour.
We should not forget that corporate money controls everything. SRGMP came back very shortly and for a long race because last time it made more than 100 crore rupees. Sara and other contestents are just the part of it including the viewers.

We as new generation should only care for good singers. If Sara does not want to show her body so be it that’s the way Indians were too few years ago. I am a Pakistani and I have never in my mind ever thought thst they dont have a place in their heart for Pakistanis because I live in USA and I experienced first habd. Once I went to Elpaso Texas and checked in a Motel owned by Indian family they also were living in same motel. Since I checked in close to midnight and I was hungry and all restaurants were closed. The owner’s wife was a Hindu lady she immediately made me Chapati and vegetables just like a sister and was so pleased to feed me like feedng her own brother, Her husband was also very kind. You win hearts each other with love and actions.Dont say anything negative about each other just promote love between two countries.

Literally my eyes were filled with tears (of happiness) when I was watching the intro episode of SRGMA, the way Aditya welcomed paki contestant was really loveable and showed the hospitality of Indian Nation. To close the people of Indo-Pak SRGMA is doing such a marvelous job that is really awesome. SRGMA is doing that great job of peace B/W these two countries which is, I think, impossible to be done by the Governments of both the countries. I solute the efforts of SRGMA team for bringing Indo – Pak people closer.

Sara on entrance said that “Im so happy but there is a question in mind as to if the water is same, air is same, sun raising in both the countries are also same, then why this boundary??”. I am really very much thankful to Zee TV Sa Re Ga Ma Authorities for reminding Sara of two nation theory that India and Pakistan were never a same nation. Muslims are forced to bow in front of their lords. Muslims were forced to wear outfits which Hindus want. No matter it might be against some religion and they call themselves as secular huh!

MINAL SHAIKH FROM KARACHI PAKISTAN .ya i agree wid indians on that point that we mostly came to know about our singers from srgm like ammanat ali musarat shaikh and noe zaheer abbas, shujat,sara and faraz butt.but its not right to balame each other countries.as we r neighbours and in srgm inviting pakistani contestants is just an attempt to have frndly realtion but m seeing constantly over these kind of issues indian singers r as famous in pakistan as they r in india great asha ji has also sung song for our film “main ik din laut k aonga”with jawad ahmed and alka ji has aslo sung couple of songs for paki movies though i must say our film insustry is also developing gradually. we all give respect to all indian singers n i vote for the best singer whether hez pakistani or indian.so please dont fight just be frnds as life is too short to hate.we have already been engaged in fighting on these kind ov issues for over past 62 years its of no use PLEASE STOP HATING EACH OTHER JUST BE FRIENDS.

I totally agree with Rihana’s comments. There r lot of male Sardar(Sikh) singers like Dlair, Ishmeet(VOI Fame)they won the contests and shows even though they dont compromise over their religious dress and turban(Pagri). These narrow minded ppl never comments on them but they just pressing this innocent cute Sara for refusing to wear exposing outfits. She looks smart n gracious in the dresses she is wearing on.

I am a Pakistani And I like all Indians. They are doing their best to bring the two nations together. Afreen. I saw on videos they had super love for Amanat Ali. Win and lose just means nothing. He is going to be part of their Indudtry. He had no chance in Pakistan. Thanks to India. It is India who broght him in the limelight.
