Considering the fact how the judges were overly critical of Aamir, dont you guys think it was all planned that way.
I was very interested in the show, however, now I am not going to watch it.
Sonu’s comments were horrible and Aamir’s family did the right thing!

I was horrified to see the performance of Tanmay and Rohanpreet. Sureshji and Sonu lavished them A+s. Rohan butchered Omkara and Tanmay was so horrible at Yeh Kale Kale Ankhen, so much so that Kajol commented isko gaana atha hai ya nahin patana zaroor atha hai. What a Shame!
Serves them right for eliminating talent.

but funny thing is – I lost interest with this competition after that singer from NAGPUR was eliminated – Hands down, that Nagpur kid was [of course he was trained or rather in training for classical music] miles better than lots of these singers! However, others like Amir has god’s gift, just like Raja and Amanat and PUNAM!! They will shine no matter what they sing!! Aneek is a joke!!!

The issue of Amir is being too big. Sonu nigam said what he shouldn’t have. A man with dignity doesn’t comment on others dignity as well. But saying all these, I also like to point out that what Amir’s family did was also not a good act. If they knew the program was fualty, what was the need for them to participate in it. I don’t know if the program is bias or not and I am not here to discuss who is right or wrong. But Amir going out of the show is the good choice in any sense. He deserved to b in 4th place but not in top 3. Anamika is the best singer as she sings the most varied and most difficult songs. She has sheer quality vocal and is a complete package. Rohan preet comes the second and then Tanmya.. Tanmya doesn’t have good vocal but he knows what music is. Kailesh kher doesn’t have a good vocal either but he sings soulful songs and has the knowledge of music…. Guys, don’t blame each other for any shorts of things. Be it hindu or muslim, we are human. And there is no point in blingly supporting any body. Support those who sings better. It’s a competition and not a war zone.

I totally agree with rabia. Everywhere there are good and bad people. But I am pretty sure that most of the people are good and understanding and logical. We should not comment against any race/country.
I got surprised to see that many people are supporting Ameer’s family. Ameer’s father and brother were so mad that I thought, they can do anything and everything. It was so horrible. I discussed my Muslim colleagues and they told that they were hurt by that. Not only because of Ameer’s family behaved badly but they commented on race, religion and country. That was the saddest part.
I felt that from now onwards, no minority singer should be coming to the show because if they don’t win, there will be a question of rigging and biasness.
People should understand that this is all about money, and nothing else. No religion or race involved here.

I am very upset with Vasundhara’s elimination inspite of her mindblowing performances. Neither Rohan nor Tanmay has delivered such stellar performances to merit this place. Obviously the judges and probably some of the voters found him cute. I personally don’t see anything great about the 2 of them. Vasu and probably Rohit/Amir deserved the slot more than these 2.

I am a Sri Lankan and we do not forget to watch Little Champs every week. You Indians should be really proud of these kids. In Sri Lanka also there are programmes like this but yours is far, far beyond them. I read all the comments you posted and I think you should not critisize the kids like you have done.True, we also liked Aamir very much….but lately his performance was not that good..He sang Saaware really nicely..When we saw his performance on Bhajans or Kawalis, I knew that he was going to lose. He should have selected a better kawali. Surely there are many more good kawalis for him to sing? I was very sad to see Vasundara going. She was marvellous…and I really liked the way her mother reacted. That’s how Aamir’s family also should have reacted. I really hate this voting system. It sends very good performers out of the show. Anyways,Anamika is a very talented girl. Her performance on 16th Feb. was fabulous. Tanmay was marvellous on the classical singing session..Madhubanme..wow..fantastic!. Rohan Preeth Sing is also a very talented boy. For me, the top five cannot be comparable.Like someone suggested, the Zee TV should think of arranging something like scholarships for the top five rankers. This Monetary awards should not be for the kids, as they get spoilt by the greediness for money. They are the gifts of God as most of you believe.
Do’t quarrel with each other, you Indians..be PROUD of your future instead.

Muslim’s talent is not being appriciated anywhere in India in any field. They r being supressed in every part of the country. This music compitition is just an example for that. If you observe in your daily life, you can find ‘n’ number of such scenarios. Its shame on a country which treat itself as SECULAR. I am really disheartened by the way Aamir was treated. Sonu was hell bent on getting him out. I wish Sonu can explain why he was being so harsh on the child the last few weeks. I always enjoyed Aamir’s singing but Sonu was always condemning him. I have unsubscribed from Zee tv and never wish to watch such a prejudiced channel like this. The singing by most of the contestants in the last episode was way below standard yet most were given A+. Rohanpreet even used wrong lyrics in his opening song and judges were too biased to even point that out. Thank God Kajol was fair enough to point out the poor performance by Annamika in her second song but Sonu was so quick to give her A+. I hope that justice does prevail for Aamir someday and that those in the music industry recognise Aamir purely for his talent and not for his poor background or religious beliefs.

Amir was good singer diffinately, but he got elminated. This game you would have to accept what ever the results are. I have read in orkut that there will be a special lil champs on Fri 22/08 in which Amir Hafeez will be attending with his family appologizing for their behaviour. Amir will be performing in the finale and will be a part of world tour. On Feb 22/08 also attending Aneek, Mauli and Raja Hassan singing with the lil champs and each will be supporting their lil champs. I also read in the India Forum but it only says that a reliable source says that Amir will be attending the finale.

Earlier on Anamika was part of the script , poor Aamir had to play along with this acrimonious one. With Chote Ustaad so interestingly poised and with the elimination of the best performer Vasu (she was awesome) they were probably constrained to stage this drama.
This time around the public is more with Aamir.

I have read the comments above. I appreciate many different point of views but I still think that the judges are very biased. Both Sonu and Suresh were constantly giving nasty comments on Aamir’s performance. Isn’t it obvious that the judges were so good to this kid early in the show? Isn’t it all changed when he became public’s favorite and got the huge singing opportunity of singing for Amitabh? Jealous judges
The way Aamir’s family reacted was uncivilized. I am not justifying their reaction. But they had a valid point. In Suresh’s show when Rohan and Vasu were bottom two and as per rule one of those should have gone. If it would have happened, Aamir’s winning chances were 1/4. Because of no elimination, his chances were reduced to 1/5. The following week, when Vasu got eliminated, Aamir was on top. If Suresh’s episode had had the elimination, logically speaking Aamir would have been safe. What wrong his family did to bring up that issue? Many would argue that his family should have complaint when they made this exception. Common guys there was a huge peer pressure and they gave just few seconds to make a decision. I am sure if they would have given a day to think about it or they would have given a secret ballot option, not only Aamir’s family but other families would have voted against it. Think objectively and tell me if this does not make sense to you?
Bad things happen… I can tolerate that Aamir got eliminated. What is hard to digest is Sonu’s disgusting comment about Aamir’s family. Yes, they were disrespectful and uncivilized. However, wasn’t it obvious that it was all pre-planned to provoke Aamir’s family? When the result was announced, why Aadi spoke to Tanmey rather than Aamir? In all previous episodes, the focus is on the contestant booted out… why such a cold treatment to Aamir? Why was Aadi so argumentative with Aamir’s brother? Why the camera followed them outside? When Sonu and Suresh left the show (when Loria’s father had an argument), Zee never showed the great judges reaction. Nobody tried to stop them outside and provoked them to respond, and telecast that on national TV. One minute they were there and the second minute they were gone. One minute Richa Sharma on stage and the second minute she was on the judges’ seat. What happened between this period was smartly edited. When it came to Aamir’s family, the entire drama was captured very effectively. Why were the stand-by camera’s ready outside the hall?
This was not the worst. I think I am (like many others) appalled by Sonu’s comments. How dare he said “ek minute gharib ban kar bethey they…. Jis thaali mai khatey hain” These were extremely low and disgusting comments. Logically speaking, what it had to do with them being poor or rich? What it had to do with thali mai chaid? The money Aamir received is between Aamir and those who gave the money. Who is Sonu to make any comment on that? Sonu quit Sare gama pa when he got offers from film industry and so on. Did to also do thali mai ched? Aamir got famous because of his outstand singing quality, not because of any favor from Sonu or zee tv. Why should his family do not raise their voice against injustice? Even if there was no injustice they have all rights to raise their voice – they are in a democratic country. They have no right to insult anyone’s background. And similarly, if Sonu wanted to share his opinion he could have chosen more sensible words like Ustaad Amjad who criticized Aamir’s family with such dignity. What Sonu said was very sour. To make fun of someone just because they are poor is so pathetic. To remind you, his comment was: “abhi gharib ban kar bethey they…” Very pathetic Sonu.
In the US, when Kramer (from Sinfeld) made a comment about black community, his entire career got doomed. Since that time he has got no chance in movie or tv at all. In the UK, when Jade Goody made comments about Shilpa Shetty (which were conceived by many as racial comments), Jade got booted out of the show and the tv network lost millions in commercials. It’s the typical Zee again playing tricks and games. Amir’s brother reaction was very bad he proved that he is illiterate. But what less was Sonu Nigam, the language he used shows no difference between him and Amir’s brother. At least, Amir’s brother has an excuse of being illiterate and Sonu being the leading Bollywood singer has no sense of sophistication.
If I look back Amir’s brother was right in what he was saying but the only problem was that he didn’t put across his point clearly. If there was no elimination round then Amir was in top 3. If Vasundhara was eliminated that week then the next week it would have been either Rohanpreet or Tanway because they were in bottom 2 as Amir had topped that week even if they included the previous week’s votes. So, because of Zee’s mistake of keeping non-elimination round Amir had to go!!!
No doubt they asked the parents and they all agreed but no one thought this situation would come. Zee should take care of all these things as they are the organization and they are running this competition. Zee can’t say that they had taken the parent’s permission. It’s not the responsibility of people to check if the competition is fair and it would end rightly if they take any decision in the middle.
No one to blame here but Zee and judges play along as they receive their pay check from them. I don’t know why Zee wants to have all such controversies, may be in the short term Zee TRP would go up but in the longer run Zee is spoiling its reputation. How can companies be so short sighted?
The sad part is Amir has suffered the most, I hope people identify his talent and he succeeds in his career. I also hope Amir’s family come out of their short sighted view and concentrate on having experience, exposure and building network.
Instead of making it destructive and divisive Zee could have made it constructive and united people than spreading hatred among people by showing all the off stage drama. If Amir’s brother had put the same point with sophistication in front of public then Zee would have been embarrassed and they had to accept their mistake and they may have had a non-elimination round again to give one more chance to Amir and to correct themselves. If Zee wanted it would have handled the situation in such a way that everyone is happy and the competition is also in the right track. As I notice initially Amir’s brother was saying that its fine and he was thankful to Zee but Zee just irked Amir’s brother to have controversy and continued to annoy him until he snapped. Shame on Zee!!!

I must say you are a matured, sensible and balanced person on this earth. I clapped my hands after reading your post. People are just nitpicking and fighting for some irrelevant, non-sensical issues, like Amir’s father said hamare watan. Common guys what he meant by hamare watan was his city Bhopal. More over people clubbed this issue with Mussarat and Amanat saying that for Amir’s father they are from his watan just because he used those names to tell Zee that Zee has done injustice earlier also. Amir’s father mentioned Mussarat and Amanat names at the end long after he said hamare watan which was his first line and people just mixed these two lines into one paragraph. For god sake, don’t spread hatred, please spread love and peace and lets have unity against Zee. Its Zee who is the culprit and playing with people’s emotions.
I wonder how people just keep quiet and defend themseleves even after seeing the injustice that has happened. Only three things are possible here either people did not understand what happened or they don’t want to understand and see the truth or they are happy with the injustice.

In India-Forum ppl have been giving their opinion abt the Suresh Wadkar Sp non-elimination long b4 Amir’s elimination. Ppl were saying all along since then that Amir or Tanmay who were safe at that time might be eliminated coz of non-elimination of S.Wadkar Special. Thats what it happened. You are also right and you are the only person mentioned that Amir’s brother thanked Zee after Amir’s elimination and they never blamed the judges either. What happened at the back stage should not be shown as it was outside the stage.
I have to see how Zee will going to unturned this injustice and make everybody happy.

I AM A HINDU TAMIL BRAHMIN and have been writing abt this injustice as well because the it was blatant injustice and stage managed and amir didnt deserve it as he was by far the best in voice quality range and sur and effortless singing. He was the only contestant who had the power to move the people with the beauty of his renditions. So was Raja. And I think it is obvious to all that amir was brought down just as Raja was.

Also I feel bad that amir’s family has backtracked and will be apologizing. They need not apologize, they should not apologize. In fact zee should reinstate amir. That would have been justice. Amir should not participate in the finale and lend normalcy once again to the whole show because then as usual we will once again just be brushing all the muck under the carpet and the status quo will be maintained.

This is really the last chance for you to salvage yourselves and regain at least a little bit of the goodwill that you enjoyed alas a long long very long time ago but a reputation which has really nosedived not so long back with Raja Hasan’s fiasco.
Look money is not the only thing that counts. Would you like to ditched by other sponsors also like hero hondo did to you with their no-show at the finals between raja, amanat and aneek which were so obviously rigged.
Even if you guys were innocent which I find hard to believe, you are not able to ensure fair voting in any case. However this time round, you have pulled off the amir episode very very badly. The whole thing smacks of stage managed machinations and most discerning viewers actually saw it coming, it was so very obvious and ill staged what with sonu nigam (hate even writing his name so badly he has fallen in my esteem) and suresh wadkar contributing to the spoils in a well rehearsed (oh no ill rehearsed I should have said) fashion. This time you wished to prepare the ground and influence the public voting through your so-called gurus instead of doing what you did to Raja because you had surely learnt a few lessons which just got confirmed with the fall in TRPs from die-hard loyalists of saregamapa.
But Ashish, Zee, this show has lost all its charm without amir and all that you are left with are anamika whose fully mature voice and higher age group almost seems to disqualify her and who will only get parochial assam bengali votes as has always been the case, Rohanpreet who is very sweet but certainly not a champion who commands only first sardar and then punjab and maybe a few thousands of north indian votes for want of a better choice and tanmay about whom the lesser said the better. I just can’t understand all this hue and cry over Amir’s elimination. If people feel its discrimination i simply don’t agree. Zee has eliminated Vasundhara before. She was simply awesome and extremely talented. Also her string of mindblowing performances are something to be proud of. Keeping in mind her talent and the challenges she had faced they could have definitely been soft on her.
I don’t deny the fact that Amir has potential, but i have to agree with Sonu hat this stroke of brilliance hasn’t been forthcoming too often. Not that i support Rohan and Tanmay over Amir. i don’t think that these kids are any great shakes to stay over Vasu or Amir for that matter.
Zee should quit all this manipulation. I don’t believe that Zee is discriminating but it is very manipulative. Can’t figure out what works for them.
@osp… You mentioned that we are crying about Aamir’s elimination and didn’t do anything at the time of Vasundhara’s elimination. Personally, I liked Vasundhara more than Rohan and Tanmay. In fact, I liked Smita and Vibhore over Tanmay but I don’t think that I have a heart burn because my favorite contestant is in or out. As a matter of fact, my favorite is Anamika. Even if Aamir would have been in top 3, I would have voted for Anamika. My argument is about Sonu’s comments. He insulted the social class of a family on national tv and that is not acceptable to me no matter what.
Sonu was in the position of responsibility. If a random guy on street would insult someone’s poverty, do you think we will log-on and complain about it on line? I will not. Even though their point (about skipping the elimination round few weeks ago) was very logical but their way was questionable. Was it discrimination based on religious grounds? It is clearly open for interpretation. I do have my own opinion but who am I to judge that? If I am judging… am I not doing what Zee, Sonu and Aamir’s family did?

I BELIEVE SRGMP IS A BIG JOKE THEY HAVE TO FOLLOW THERE PATTERN. AAMIR WAS FALSELY ELIMINATE. THE JUDGES HAVE TO SHAME ON THERESELF THAT THEY SUCCESSED WHAT THEY WANT TO ELIMINATE AAMIR. Amir deserves to be in top 2.He is better singer than other 2 in top 3 now.Zee Tv should reward AmirJudges have succeeded in eliminating better singer (Amir) by changing rules at this stage of competition.. Sonu Nigam’s tried to protect his favorite singer.
Sonu Nigam owes an apology to Amir’s family & viewers for criticizing Amir’s family.
Amir’s family should not apologize.They spoke against injustice.Who knows,what happens with public votes.

amir’s family apologizing on friday was a clever rumour floated by zee with a double objective: 1. To calm down protests which were geting too much even for shameless zee and deleting comments was becoming too ardous and 2. In order to keep the TRPs up and get back amir supporters who boycotted the last saturday episode.
SHAME ON ZEE.
I would like to post my comment on zee network but dont know how and in any case they delete all that is unsavoury. I know that for a fact on the little champs website they do.

First of all , i love the way u’ve been handling this. I concur with you on Sonu’s remarks on Amir’s family. coming from a legend like him, i was shocked. He could have handled this better. There is no iota of doubt that Amir has been given the rough end of the stick over undeserving lil champs like Tanmay, Rohan etc. I wouldn’t condone their behaviour. The kind of heartburn they would have had coz they know the inside story is to be understood only by them. It is but natural someone reacted like that and their remarks on Tanmay was spot on. I personally feel that they shouldn’t apologise, but have a vague feeling that they may have to on the day of the finals. I pray that Zee doesn’t put them through this.
Well Jay I too really didn’t like what Sonu said. As for the elimination bit, I have already given my opinion.
@osp – I too agree with you and so are many more… I hope for the best for Aamir for his singing career. His voice and singing style are outstanding!
