The finale was extremely boring. I could only watch glimpses of it. More glitz than substance.
I must say this public voting in the end is highly debatable. There is something wrong in pitting a bengali against a Marathi against a Pakistani…etc. Let the public vote decide till last 5, then have a semifinal and final. Bring in independent judges who are fair and firm, like Javed Akhtar, Anu Malik and Jagjit singh.
Let public votes count for 40% and independent judges 60%. The judges votes should be hidden from each other and public, only to be shown after the contestant/s is out. That way there is no pressure to give marks to someone who is losing.
Hey listen guys, Don’t be disappointed, it was expected, now think about this Sa re ga ma pa challenge 2007 was declared the WORLD CUP OF SINGER rite, so how is it possible that a Pakistani could win the title.
I mean all the big people who support Zee T.V. would come down so hard on Zee if a Pakistan was declared a winner of this challenge.
Another thing is that if you think about it. Out of 133 countries that voted for the winner.
Amanat was the best according to 132 of 133 countries. I guess that tells the story.
Amanat was given 3rd place by INDIA, but the rest of the world thinks otherwise.
So all I have to say is WAY To go AMANAT! You ROCK! And the world knows it!

Congratulations Zee to manipulate with the votes. The “True Voting” has not been shown and we were all fools to spend money through voting. In US one SMS to India cost .15Cents, but SRGMP SMS cost was .99Cents. I don’t know how much it cost to vote through SMS in India? I bet.. Zee was making portion of money.
Zee has made “Good Money” through the entire show. People have invested a lot of money to support their contestant. Eventually, everyone got surprised with the terrified voting scores.
Not that great show as everyone was expecting!
Zee alteast stop playing with people innocent emotions and hope to see management on-track otherwise you would loose your popularity. Please do not repeat this kind of political game again.

These shows are so fake,the awards are already decided, just fooling the public ..voting etc..there is no importance to the public voice , ZEE just fakes it, I know I was sending so many SMS and was not sure whether the votes were being counted for the contestant I am voting too..
Secondly, a true singer doesnt need a vote, he/she just needs to sing and lives by their voice, nt all this hangama..just disgracing the real talent with voting system,not going to watch Little Champs becoz thats going to be another fake show , playing with children;s heart..I dont think children need so much stress on winning the votes etc..this is entirely ruining the real talent of the deserving singers..
The most deserving singers for SRGMP 2007 have been Raja, Mussarrat , Poonam and Amanat.
Aneek definately was not the right person to win, well he is young so what does it mean..its just like the elder ones have to be deliberately behind in a sack race becoz of a small boy is a part of it..and disgusting HR making a comment like Raja Bhaiyya ke Paiir Choo..oh did HR get an enlightenment that Aneek shd do this becoz he took a revenge on Raja..such a lousy psychology ,
In any other show the first and second runner up will also be compensated with some kind of awards..ridiculous ..they did not think abt that..people pl ban watching Zee SRGMP Little Champs and pl dont vote, its waste of money and time..atleast I am boycotting these shows on Zee..
Amanat took his ‘loss’ very, very gracefully. He didn’t even look disappointed for one moment.
He is qualitatively the DESERVING winner so this is quite unfair to him. He is FAR above the others. At some point, the results are bound to be influenced by politics and this is why AMANAT was not awarded first prize. (I am not justifying this)
But at least Amanat has made a big name for himself and gotten a platform through SRGMP.
If Indian junta were completely biased and bigoting he would not even have made it here. Think of all the (Indian, Hindu or non-Hindu) singers that got voted off BEFORE Amanat. This was also due to Indian junta’s voting.
So there is A LOT of support for Amanat in India and this can’t be brushed off! Definitely there (unfortunately) were politics, but as you know voting can be rigged, or heavily influenced by ZEE and other sponsors. In my view the politics were done by these players at the last stage and not so much by the junta who chose to bring Amanat (and also Mussarat) this far. I salute India’s voting for that!
People are praising Amaanat and forgetting the great performances and singing by Raja. Amaanat was buttering all the guests who came on that show and also said that now he think Hindustan ki Public saath mein hai. He never trusted Indian public voting for him. He should never have won for those working. I was hoping Raja to be the winner. India is a great country because she gave chance and fame to Amaanat who is from Pakistan. Why should we encourage singers from Pakistan. I am thanking Indian public for not letting Amaanat win.
They should change the show by not letting vote and Guru’s choose the best singer. I know HR will be the first one to fight for his gharaana. I think that they should not take HR from next time as Guru. He does not deserve to be a Guru. I dont understand how people tolerate him when he talks nonsense.

It is very bad that Amanath was pushed to third position because of dirty politics played by HR. According to me Raja or Amanath) deserves to be the winners of this competition.But, it is their bad luck!!!!. My personal request to Z TV that they should remove HR from the panel of judges. He may be a good actor, singer, mentor and may be a good human being but he doent have the simple common sense of how to behave in front of the public. Begging votes like dirty politicians and chewing gums like………. And especially in yesterdays show, once again he tried to degrade Raja by telling age in front of the 20000 plus crowd.does he have any sense at all?

Well Aneek was number 2 in International voting….
but he was lead by 13 lakh votes in over all voting…
that means he was number 1 in India voting…do the simple math…he lead to raja by 4 lakh vote in international voting..and 13 lakh in overall voting…so he lead raja near abt 9 lakh votes in india voting…

Please don’t make racist remarks. I am proud that so many people had voted for Amanat form India, but I wish even more had voted. I am an Indian myself but I would have been happier if Amanat had won instead of Aneek. I really wished that Raja or Amanat won and Aneek was the second runner-up in the Grand Finale. Honestly, I hoped the rankings were as follows;
1/2 Raja/Amanat,
3 Poonam and
4 Aneek.
Though I have nothing against Aneek as such and I am Bengali myself, I still found the other three singers better.
Oh well, now that it is all over, I hope that going forward, they get what they deserve irrespective of their SRGMP rankings. I am very glad that Poonam at least got the spark of the show. She deserved to be in the Grand Finales. That’s the least she should have got as she could not make it to the top three. Good Luck to all of them.

As for the results, lets not blame indian public, it is all zee’s politics. When aneek was announced winner, the crowd went silent. The judges had to say that amanat you are a true winner. it was funny the cold attitude crowd gave to aneek…lol
Anyway, zee should have given something more to the 2nd and 3rd winner up. I remember in indian idol the runner up gets 50,000rs gift. that was really chawal of zee not giving them anything.
Again we all know who the true winner is. Thank you india for supporting Amanat and all other contestants from Pakistan. and Pakistan is proud of Amanat and all other contestants for making the country proud.

I became a powerful fan of Amanat ONLY becuase of his true talent of singing…… aur such kehta hoon doston….. Shekherji commented on Amanat he is really above all. Raja and Aneek are good singers BUT Amanat honestly, genuinely and truly topped for winner.
The fact is Amanat is the talented singer he has proved universally himself No.1,
I just say Aneek is not a bad singer he is just lucky.

Raja got highest votes in India (The country where the singers are aspiring to make their carriers )
When result was being announced the crowd was screaming Raja Raja and went silent after Aneek was declared winner.
Bappi Lahiri being who was out of the competetion said that Raja and Amanat were his favorites but mentioned nothing about Aneek.
And last but not the least the truth directly from the mouth of the contestants said on the stage:
When Raja was asked to say something on stage, he said “I love you Hindustan” because he knew that hindustan has voted for him and made him reach the finals.
But, when Aneek was given the mike he said “I love you, Sir” because he knew that HR has got the votes being manipulated for him and made him the winner.

Please stop the racist comments. The voting system is not India’s voice or India’s Opinion. It is a money making gimmick of the TV Channels. We all expected Raja /Amanat to win. We also voted for them. And my husband religioulsy voted for Amanat and we are Indian Hindus. Hence please stop the Hindu /Muslim, India /Pakistani crap. The votes received by Raja and Amanat was from Indian music lovers (i.e Hindu Muslim Christians etc).
This has ended up like the two cats fighting and the monkey takes away the cream. the monkey being the Zee Channel. Hence the best way to avoid disappointment and to avoid the TV Chanels making a mess of peoples feeling, is to ensure that for all reality shows the voting should be up to the last five finalist, after that impartial judges take over and decide with a 50/50 : judges opinion / voting marking. This will ensure that a worthy candidate is the winner. As even the Indian Idol show the winner was not everyone has expected.
I would rather prefer boycoting the voting system completely. I really pity the tiny tots coming on stage for the Li’l champs who will be at the mercy of the voting system. Let the qualified do the judgement

I am regular reader of this blog but writing for the first time.
It seams there are few people who spread hater from both sides. Its becoz of these few people that Indian are Pakistanis are not very much closer to each other. But as majority of peoples is concerned they are not hate preachers on both sides of border.
For peoples who are saying that Indian people have not supported Amanat… Can they justify this definitely not? Becoz Amanat has got millions of votes from Indian people? So they are totally wrong?
And as for as people who are saying that if this competition would be in Pakistan then Aneeq would have not bee won as he is Indian, to these people I can assure them that Pakistanis would have voted the best even if that person is an Indian.
In support of this thing. you just need to go to google and google things and find out how popular Indian actors and singers are in Pakistan. Check when Shah Rukh, Amir, Urmeela and many other Indian singers visited Pakistan, hows the Pakistani’s supported /welcomed these legends from India.
They were mad like anything for them, I am in no doubt that they are equally popular if not more in Pakistan as in India.
Also if you can watch Pakistanis channels like ARY digital /prime tv and Geo tv then you will find that majority of actors in these dramas are Indians and are very popular. Also sonu Nigham, Ash G and Alka G are singing in most Pakistani movies. So that’s totally unjustifiable as Pakistanis don’t support Indian artists.
So lets say if Amanat was an Indian and the show was been held in Pakistan then I am sure he would have got maximum votes from Pakistan as best singer of the competition.
Again thanks to Indian people for supporting so much to Amanat and giving so many many votes and LOVE.
So hate preachers from both sides please set aside these things and be friends.
The best thing is to just ignore these people as they are in minority and will quit after nobody responds to them.

I am crazy of POONAM’s singning. not only me , My family too. I am ready to give a share if anybody is going to collect the fund for POONAM’s album. she has been injustified in SRGMP. She is the real winner of the show. i never watch any episode of SRGMP after her elimination,b’coz with out POONAM’s perfomance this show not at all look’s like show,but it is a circus. i m very very very very happy after came to know that she has been awarded as SPARK of the show. finally some justice for true singer and music.

DO YOU ALL AGREE THAT Aneek is being punished here b’coz of HR. I dont understand Why people relate to him with HR.?? HR is over hyping him and doing all the shit. Is it Aneek’s fault ??? If he was in VS’ or ISMAIL’S gharana, he would have never criticized by people… He’s the only singer in who has given consistent performances through out the show. None of his performances has been criticized by judges. I agree that AMANAT is definately a versatile singer and he deserved to win. But history says Public voting has never given right judgement.

The funny thing about this show is that I never watched until the last few weeks only because I was surprised to find out that they had pakistani contestants on it. So much praise should go to those who selected them to be on the show.
Although people can say whatever they want to about the voting being rigged for the finals. The winner was decided when the last three were left. It is not Aneek’s fault that he has a terrible mentor like HR, but for the future shows he should be KICKED out and be replaced with Javed Akhter, Udit Narayan. Any one can see he puts up an act in front of everyone, gives false praises to others. Just down right looser! What did he gain by all the stunt that he put up, now that he is going to go down in history as being conniving, manipulative person.
It is a bit to late to say Amanat should have won the contest or perhaps Raja. Aneek is a talented individual with a good voice, but he is by far the last person I could see who could won this contest. There were other hopefuls that could have made it up there,which sang better then him. The finale was farse, giving the runner ups watches, while you give the other two cars, what sort of justification does Z or who ever is making that decision have!!
In any regards. The Indian people should be praised for supporting all the pakistani contestants and giving them their utmost love. This is the only place where I have read any feedback on the show. I can see that people really know who the real winner is, I just feel bad for Aneek that even though he won he didn’t really win……..Thanks.

im not taking anything away from aneek he is a good singer and all, but i think that amanat and raja have much more talent.
Well i guess i really shouldn’t be too surprised. All along i knew that aneek would win for reasons i am not going to list, but you know what they are.
Raja fans, Grapes are sour. Now after Aneek has won, you realized that the show is rigged. Zee is the most crap TV channel.
The most annoying part is the personal attack on Aneek. “OINK”, “Beech ka bandar”, what not. Due, you guys lost…and grapes are sour…you guys are frustrated and talking all useless cheap words. Shame on you who can’t use good words and you guys don’t have any spirit to accept the defeat.
The simple fact is Aneek got more votes. He may be 2nd in international votes and 2nd in Indian votes but remember Amanat is 3rd in Indian votes and Raja is 3rd in International votes.
Aneek may be not the best singer of the competition (as you guys are telling), but you accept that he got most number of votes. Now you will start talking about Mahagurus. Well, well, well, Raja, the “awesome”, “mind blowing”, “fantastic”, “superb” singer of this competition was eliminated by the Mahagurus only. also, none of the Gurus (including Vishal Shekhar) did not take him in their Gharanas before the Wild-card round. But likewise, I am not saying that Raja is bad singer as he was eliminated. He is a good singer but he got less votes.
Yeah, many people are so frustrated because Aneek won. Dude, why did not you vote for Raja or Amanat? Who stopped you?
@Ish, this poll is open to very limited number people and does not reflect the whole world’s opinion. That is the simple explanation. You are sad, I understand. But, accept the fact.

1. Please vote for your favorite contestant
2. Don’t make fun of other contestants (especially if he/she is from Bengal) - it makes a huge negative effect on voting, believe me. I am not a Bengali but I know it very well.

this website is open to anyone in the world. it can be accessed by anyone at anytime at anywhere in the world. anyone that voted for the contestants more than likely gets on this website to see whats going on. that poll is open to everyone. i think u just cant see the poll and if u cant see it then thats not my problem.
the votes were definitely rigged.
also u have to consider the fact that aneek should not have even been in the show to begin with. he just showed up in the middle of it. u cant do that. have u ever seen a cricket team losing and in the middle of the match they go out look for someone really good that can get the job done? after finding this guy do u think they would allow him to be added to the roster and play? i have a feeling of NO.
