  Amanat has sung so well last time but I thought it will be a fight between Aneek and Amanat but shocked to see Raja went ahead. May be he is a good performer on the stage. But we are here to choose a good playback singer and they don’t dance when they sing.

  I also feel bad for Aneek as his mentor HR is makinga mockery of things. No doubt Aneek is versatile and perfect but HR by speaking more is hitting Aneek’s popularity.

  Today I think Aneek was the best and close was Amanat. They are the two best and it’s tough to choose one. But Raja– now way

And also Indian will not surely accept a true singer but the person who’s from their region will get higher n higher votes and this has been done from ages when a contest like Indian Idol or Sare Gama Pa’s winners has chosen by public vote. Unfortunately we will loose a fresh voice with versatility in his singing like Amanat very soon due to lack of getting votes from Indian public. I’m not saying that Aneek is not good singer but the things happening in the show are making the people upset. Himesh’s all the bogus sentences even his face couldnt help him to express the truth but one thing is clear that he just only want that Aneek should win. If this is mentor’s thought then this totally wrong because a mentor should always appreciate true singer and who deserve to be in contest. Currently three of them should be equally considered so why he s just overhyping aneek? Why he s trying to show that he s the biggest supporter of Aneek? Is that already preplanned? Is that already decided who will be the winner. I think so….?? Well, what can we say but I would be happy to see if public can go for a good judgement by giving their votes to a deserving singer.

  i wish we were at the stage when it DIDNT matter who was from where…. but unfortunately we havent reached that state of being, EVEN in a national competiton like the past SRGMP 05 or II..and come on prashant tamang the II winner is clearly not the best singer..

  point being, you should be proud that amanat reached this mukaam and made y`all proud, but blaming the indian janta who afterall is responsible for him being in this position is highly disingenous..and smacks of hypocrisy..

  this is a baby step in the right direction for indo pak relations,amanat has opened the doors and who knows maybe in SRGMP 09, there might even be a pakistani champ right?

  meanwhile, amanat has already won, because he has gotten so much appreciation from highly respected indian judges like pandit ji and i bet he will get some contracts for singing playback… thats what its all about..the jeetna haarna in this competition is a total crapshoot.. he has to win in the talent competition of life and he has made a step towards achieving that.. he still needs lots of work, he isnt a finished product by any stretch, e.g, he def needs work on breath control… something he will need riyaaz for..

  Jeez, cut the poor guy some slack will ya? He sang it to the best of his abilities. I def do not think Amanat sang bad at all..he sang it perfectly well. I agree, it was not his best (i think that’s partially due to the composing of the song.. really don’t like this song to begin with) but he sang it just fine. He truly didn’t deserve that. He has made less mistakes than any of the contestants in this show.

  I’m sorry but there were HUNDREDS of times Aneek n Raja messed up during their singing.

  Don’t get me wrong, I love these two and they both gave MANY great performances.

  HOWEVER, when they messed up, they did not (and i repeat, did not) get the kinda criticism the way Amanat did.

  Were Raja and Aneek critized the way Amanat was when THEY messed up in singing properly? Hmm..nope not really.. actually they were hyped to the extreme and it was said that they were the best singers of the competition and this was their best performance as of yet.

  Whatever, I ain’t complaining about that..Aneek and Raja (luv’em both) shouldn’t get yelling lliek that ever like the way Amanat just did. No one deserves that from your own house.

  Alright, I’m done ranting..

  But this episode really went deep..Leaving me extremely upset over the way Amanat was treated.

  Aneek, Raja, and Amanat are all great singers! Vote for the best w/out any prejudices/bias.

  I personally like Amanat as a singer and I do vote for him a lot and Pakistanis should feel proud that Amanat is one of the top 3 mega finalists with the support of India and rest of the world. Weather he wins or not it really doesn’t matter, he has carved a niche for himself in India and I am sure he would go far. And Indias will encourage him as he as already made a place for himself in a lot of Indians heart.

  And yes Pakistan should give the credit to India for bringing Amanat to the finals. I also request all Indians to stop saying that we will never make a Pakistani win an Indian show. Let us not fight and let us vote who we consider is talented, let us not blame each other for any thing. Amanat definitely has opened the door for India and Pakistan and we should use this as a means to be freindly with each other in the future than faulting both the nations for any descrimination/regionalism/favoritsm.

  If you look at pure singing, in terms of versality it is Auneek who stands first. But unfortunately he is not got as good personality as Raja. Amanat is an excellent singer in classical based songs.. no one can beat him on that. But he has adapted well to other type of songs also and has done an extremely good job. To me, based on overall singing, it should be Auneek, Amanat and Raja in that order, but based on fan following , it will be Raja who will be the winner followed by Auneek and Amanat.

  i saw the tail end of todays show ( will watch the rest on dvr tommorow) but i was maha impressed by how mature this kid amanat is, at the end when the 2 others were hogging the mic( singing besharmia`s song), and jumping around like monkeys, amanat was quietly standing in the background,, just chillin,, till he was forced to join the hyperactive 2.. i really like how grounded this kid is..

I alwaz feel he is stressing to much on the song which would sound so better with ease n comfort.. i betcha make Aneek sing all the songs Raja sang till date, Aneek’s voice will sound more soothing..

  The way Mussarat sang the sufi-styles with ease.. Raja doesnt do that, it doesnt come across..

  Neway if Raja will win its just cos of his fan-following…

  But atleast I am happy that all the finalists are good.. way better than finalists of other competitions like – “Indian Idol” n “Voice of India”… in the recent times – Aneek Amanat n Raja are the best finalists I have seen in a music competition (even better than Vineet, Debojit, Hema in 2005)..

  It’s a real pity that Amanat isn’t getting any support from ID. EVERYONE ELSE is getting support from their mentors EXCEPT for Amanat. And in my opinion, Amanat is way above the standard of Raja and Aneek.

  Raja – None unless Sukhwinder / Kailash Kher aren’t available
  Amanat – MANY He doesn’t copy anybody at all.

  Even scrolling down and reading all the comments, I realise that there are strong fan clubs for Raja and Aneek who support them to the extent of being called neurotic. (Check out Aneek’s FC on Orkut +_+)

  Earlier HR and ID had combined to jettison BL and VS. HR was playing games where he used to support ID and ID would support HR’s contestant. Both of them would combine to attack others. Forcing BL and VS to combine forces for survival.

  ID has participated in all these games (people play) with a enigmatic smile. Leading me to think he had a card(maybe the whole deck) up his sleeve..

  Earlier in my post’s I had submitted that the most interesting spectacle might be when HR and ID have to compete in the finals. What would be the equation then, what would be the games ???? Would HR start shouting at Amanat and ID????Would ID show the poor technique of Aneek ????

  Hmmmmmmmmm…………

  After watching the latest saga it appears clear to me that people have been conspiring behind the scenes and have already thrown their dice.

  HR was in his usual mood this friday, targeting poor Raja who looked as if he wished the ground would open and swallow him (meri laaj rakhle …he looks heavenwards, while HR jumps into the cheerharan with glee…).

  When suddenly, like a Hindi Movie ( or Lord Krishna in Mahabharata), the Heroes arrived and rescued the fair (??!!!) Raja. Raja looked relieved with the arrival of the heroes. They all celebrated this with a thundering RDB and the crowds responded to it…What a movie…oops episode.

  In the middle of this, one suddenly noticed that ID has established new friendship with Vishal of VS group. It was a clear case of my enemy’s(HR) enemy(Vishal) is my friend. He not only ditched HR in the middle of the show but also participated with VS and Adnan in an impromptu *xcillint stage perfaarmaance.

  In the middle of all this HR sat forlorn and lost in his chair. He looked utterly devastated with the turn of events. When VS entered the stage he had the look of a child who has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar…after ID’s “betrayal”, HR looked like he was going to burst into petulant sobs right there (Dost Dost na raha, pyar(Aneek) pyar na raha)…

  The other’s were rocking the night away on the stage. When HR was dragged weeping and screaming to the stage he stood with his back ramrod straight looking as proud as Napolean must have looked as he was lead like a common villain to Elba.

  When suddenly he decided to go down with guns blazing and burst into an impromptu performance. I must say he rocked the stage and crowd with his “mindblowing” performances. One can understand why his stage shows are such “Thundering hits”…..Aakhir Kuch baat to hai humme bhi hai, yun he log diwaane nahin hua karte humpe…

  ALL in all a most entertaining episode. I suppose from the next episode ID will sit next to Vishal and both of them will try and control HR. HR will be a handful and this promises more pyrotechniques in the future…My *YAWNIIIING* boredom has turned into a eye rubbing delight at all this…GO HR!! Conquer the world!!

  A last piece of observation, did anyone notice, how good and correct even singers like Adnan and HR sound as compared to the contestants ??

  Pls. rewind and see. It will help one to appreciate how raw the RAA (Raja/Aneek/Amanat) group is when compared to B or C category singers in Bollywood. Forget Lataji or Manna Deyji. These legends are light years ahead in terms of natural talent, technique/style, riyaaz and character/nature(humility…peaceful nature).

  But still there remains a great attraction in this forum (in the “non-SRGMP” thread).
  Now that the job of compilation and categorization of “perfect songs” on your hands, we can rest assured:o)

  If you notice I desisted from commenting on the performers or the renditions themselves. Venturing an opinion in that direction would be asking for the hungry howling hordes of hades to descend mercilessly (hereforth h4):)

  Other than the bandish Albela Sajan (I think the original one has such a strong stamp of authority from the noted Sarangi maestro Ustad Sultan Khan that to eventure in that direction is asking for inevitable comparison’s) the mentors have not done their work by modifying the compositions or re-arraning bol/tan’s to support the participants strengths and weaknesses. Saanware was another such performance…not really much to choose from otherwise…I thought some of Aneek’s earlier performances were good. Raja seems to have left his best behind

  About the categorization of songs etc…I would appreciate if we can all be interactive and participative so we can get better equity as opposed to fostering unilateralism.
