It’s just sad how people are biased in their voting. Amanat is a fabulous singer who deserves to win. The final decision should not be left to the public, because they let their prejudices affect their votes. I only wish everyone voted for the deserving candidate, not the one who’s representing their home-town/country.
The international votes show that Amanat is the most popular contestant; his fame isn’t based on his background or religion or any other irrelevant matter, but because he is truly talented. His voters see WHO he is, not WHERE he’s from. He has the lowest votes in India, which says something there. He may not win this competition because of his Pakistani background, but his talent and singing ability cannot be ignored. I truly hope he’ll be successful in his career and find fame and recognition.
The whole drama of baised-voting will end within few hours. Everyone know from start how HR/Zee promoted Aneek from cheap tacts; “Love Tri-angle”, Love w/Dia Mirza, Divya, Karishma even with “Female Fans” all over the world. I remember one time ID even tried to explain that this Love-Triangle is fake story and nothing such exists. But HR interrupted and said that’s right love story. B*l Sh*t!
Since Aneek was not catching fans that what they figured-out to make him popular through these kinds of cheap ways.
How many time Amanat has been declared from mentors like Shehkar, ID and even HR that he is true winner. How about legend singers like Jagjeet/Pandit that Amanat is winner of SRGMP.
Check this website statistics that who is on top. Amanat and Raja are close in votes 38% and Aneek 24%. Check-out http://www.saregamapa2007.com and see the voting statistics. Amanat is leading with almost 50% votes over there. How Zee is getting Aneek on top….? This shows that the # 1 contestant has already been planned no matter what are the actual votes….! How shame is to the integrity of this show and Zee. They call this show is “World cup of singers”. To me it is “Zee cup of its own (Aneek) singer”.
I bet if Amanat would have been from India/Hindu, he could have won the contest as he is way above than other contestants. —The Most versatile singer—Amanat!

Najma… watch out for hate-mongering! While talking about the fact that Amanat gets lowest votes from Indians, DO NOT forget that the reason why he is a finalist is because he has been getting lakhs of votes from Indians all along. Do you honestly believe that Amanat would have ended up in the finals if Indians were biased against Pakistani singers??? Do you actually think that international voting alone could have got him this far? Have you been counting the number of votes he gets from India, or do you always focus on the votes that he did NOT get from India? Cut the nationalist crap out! Talk about music and respect the fact that people have different opinions. And learn to respect democracy, which means that you have to sometimes deal with the masses voting against your personal view. Just because you could not preserve democracy in your country does not mean you have to give up so easily. Use SRGMP to practise how democracy works, then maybe someday you will be able to reintroduce the concept to Pakistan.

The voting information which is posted now on saregamapachallenge2007 site is correct as it is announced by ZEE.
The information which was given before that Raja is leading by 1 lakh votes, second Aneek, third Amanat. That was not true, those figueres were shown just to push Aneek fans to vote more for him and to make Aneek no.1 and hence we have Aneek at no.1 position. Anshi (who runs that site) has now given the correct information because zee has announced the voting information worldwide. Now, she is saying that she was not biased and she gave the correct information as zee also has shown the voting trend in the same order. She smartly changed the order just before Zee announced its voting information to be at the safer side. Now she is trying to tell people that she is unbiased and always gave the correct information. But, the previous information which she gave that Raja is leading by 1 lakh was just to put Raja in the second position. She never posted my messages when I tried to tell people about the previous voting trend shown. She just wanted to push Aneek to no.1 postion and so she didn’t let my messages appear to public and also because she would have got exposed.
So, please don’t stop voting your favorites. The difference between these 3 is very small, anyone can win still. Just keep voting. Forget about Anshi and any voting trend, still you can make your favorite come to no.1 and no.2 postions, please keep voting. Let Anshi not play any games on us now. Don’t give up or don’t be disheartened.
Remember in the last saregamapa little champs, the day before they showed who was at no.1, no.2 and no.3 postions. Sameer was leading and he was at no.1. But the next day in the live show Sameer was announced as 2nd runner up. Amanat can atleast come to second position and Raja to first position. So, anything can happen still. Don’t lose hopes just keep voting for your favorites.

Najma never said for a second that she was pakistani and you are being ignorant and using perception against her. The truth is, she does have a valid point and she just expressed her opinion. You talked about decmocracy but your words don’t support it at all. In democracy everyone has the right to express their opinions. So what if she doesnt share the opinion same as you ? Yes, there are voters in India who support Amanat based on his singing ability (much like VS), but there are also quite a few pals of HR around. And sure, if Amanat’s voice was “immature”, in the eyes of maha-gurus like Jagjit Singh and Pandit Jasraj, maybe he wouldn’t be so deserving a candidate. Btw, this demoracy that you speak of implies that all viewers have the choice to vote for the contestant of their choice, right? And I shouldn’t get worked up because the masses aren’t supporting my view? The masses are shown who to vote for through ZTV’s publicity and propaganda. But quite sadly, not all the contestants are given equal time in the spot light; ZTV hypes the contestants it wants, thereby skewing the voting pattern. If the producers of ZTV were so sure that people would vote for their favourite contestant in such a fair manner, why did they feel the need to cut out and edit Amanat’s performance on Oct 6th? In the US, the show aired only had Amanat singing “Tujhse Naraz” once, while the unedited version shows he sang that song three times. Also, quite conveniently comments that praised Amanat were shortened or completely edited out. While Aneek’s performance was promoted with a clip of his past performance. If it didn’t make a difference, why was Amanat’s performance edited out so much? Why edit out comments that said “Amanat you deserve to win”? Yep, a whole lotta a fairness going on there. Amanat reduced the audience to tears with his singing, usually its HR’s pointless yapping that reduces the audience to tears. It’s easy to make people laugh and dance with you, but to make the audience shed tears is a whole other matter. While Aneek and Raja are great singers, Amanat is in a league of his own. Countless times the judges have said he is the winner, and international voters are from many many different countries around the globe, the voters are from diverse backgrounds, and they feel his singing is phenomenal….then why so low votes in India? Why does ZTV edit and cut out Amanat’s performances?
If you look at the poll results at saregamapashow.com, Raja and Amanat are pretty close, 39% and 38% respectively, and Aneek has 24% of the votes. At the saregamapa 2007 site, Amanat leaded the polls by 47%, Aneek with 33% and Raja with 20%. Sure, these are just polls but they do reflect the views of the populace. It would be very childish of me if I was making a fuss because the masses weren’t in my favour; but when the public isn’t given the right information, when producers hype contestants they want, while ignoring others, they’re not exactly great role models of fair behaviour. How will the decisions be democratic and just, when the public is so misinformed? Is democracy really achieved by lying to the public?

Like so many other words “democracy” also has various definitions and denominations. You will see that North Korea (called Democratic Repulic of North Korea) calls itself a Democratic Country, India is also a Democratic Country, so is the US, and UK too. You can thus see various faces of democracy. The democracy which Zee is so enthusiastically propagating is “You voters have a right to vote for your favorite contestant, because ultimately you will be listening to them, not us. While at the same time We the organizer have a right to decide which vote to accept as valid or invalid, which way to present the result (not announce the result) – whether you like it or not, whether to keep the format as it is (meaning whether to keep certain contestant in the fray) or to change the format the way we want (meaning to eliminate any contestant, even though he/she may not deserve to be the one) – as per rules 10 and 11 of the Zee Saregamapa contest. Thus virtually rendering your democratic right to vote as meaningless, and an excercise in vain while turn filling the coffers of the organizers, as it is their democratic right to earn money.
If they are projecting or hyping Aneek, and cutting short other contestants achievements, it is their democratic right. It is upto you to decide whether to fall for their so called democratic voting method or to just watch the entire circus or a movie, the script of which is written well in advance, and revised and refined many a times, certain portions get edited out (contestants getting eliminated). At the end of the movie, do we complain to the director (for example in Sholay) why Amitabh’s character got killed, how could Thakur beat up Gabbar Singh, etc. No, because this movie is conceived, scripted, and presented to you from the Directors/Maker’s point of view. You can watch the movie and criticize or appreciate it. Thus making it a hit or a flop.
This is how this show is conceptualised, enacted, and is fated to end. All the tantrum, howling etc, etc, is just part of the script. Otherwise, how can Mahagurus praise any of Mauli’s performance as mindblowing or great, when the fact is that she could hardly sing.
Take take case of Aneek singing Jaane jaan dhoondta phir raha.. from Jawani Deewani, originally sung by Kishore Kumar and Ashaji, both the great singers capable of singing in very high pitch and on very high notes, yet we see Ismail Darbar telling Aneek “Yeh gana to already itne high notes ka hai, tu to isse bhi do dhai (2, 2 and half times) notes ooper le gaya. Can you fathom this silly comment elevating Aneek the kid (voice suited only for Sachin Tendulkar) over Kishore Kumar the great. But then, it is Ismail Darbar’s democratic right to praise or degrade any contestant.
I sincerely believe that after what Mahagurus have said on SRGMP and also on Star VOI, perhaps next year onwards Gajendra Singhji will certainly come up with a much more dynamic and true format for VOI that will gain respectability, and accord the musical talent show its true glory.

Obviously aneek or raja will be on first position by indian public because they will prefer their regional singer either he sings good or not. By the way all US viewers specially Houston, Texas. These all top-ten contestants are coming Houston to perform at Barker Cypress on Dec 1st. I saw a whole page newspaper Ad yestarday. Good huh!

man it’s just before the finals. and there’s so much negativity on the board.
come on ppl. get a life. this is just a competition. the singers are not related to us. i bet they don’t even quarrel even half as much as everyone does on this board.
at the end of the day, it’s about the number of hit songs that the contestants can come up with in their career. saregamapa basically provides them with a platform. it on no account guarantees them a place in the ‘top 5-6 singers’ of bollywood. it is for them to HONE THEIR TALENT. i have been following the comments on this site for a while and i am seriously amazed at the sort of comments. zee might be scripting the show for all i care. i just want to enjoy GOOD MUSIC. sure, i am a fan of a few contestants, but i don’t get so emotionally involved in rooting for them.
take a look at the number of offers some of the eliminated contestants have gotten. look at mauli and sumedha. these two have probably gotten the most offers than the rest. we can bash them online ‘can’t sing at all’, ‘bathroom singer’, ‘made deserving singers get eliminated’, etc until our fingers turn blue from typing, but that’s not going to prevent them from getting offers.
basically my point is this: there is NO POINT spreading negativity. root for your favs. but don’t bash the rest. there is no need to get so emotionally involved. it’s just a SHOW.

You wholeheartedly deserved to win. Every one of the Gurus and Mahagurus praised your voice and the way you sing. As per Vishal-Sekhar: “Aneek should be in playback studio rather than competing in a competition. He is the best prepared for playback than other contestants”. Imagine his talent, he is the youngest of the lot! If his dedication and perseverence continues like now, imagine what a good singer he will be 5 years from now. I won’t compare with anyone but the kind of versatility and the songs sang by Aneek – you entertained us really well. Kudos to you. YOU WILL WIN!!

its a matter of sorrow that the Indian Audience is not giving their support to Amanat. Since three weeks he is in no.3 position
in Indian Voting. Only the international voting keeps him alive. He is still no.1 in International voting. This is a global contest show but the Indian Audience can’t forget the racism. One should respect the true singer like Amanat. I am quite astonised that Aneek is no.1 as he is 100% copying sonu Nigam. Till now he sang 95% sonu nigam’s song and took the audience praise. Oh God this is the judgement of the Indian Audience. How many critical songs Amanat has sung? Amanat is beyond of the Contest. This is the judgement of the Indian Guru. So pls atleast show respect to the Guru and vote for the right person.
International voting has closed now from 8 AM and now only indian voting is available through sms or call. Obviously not every body efford to send international sms as it will a bit expensive send from UK, US or any other country. That s the reason Amanat wont be able to get more enough votes from international voting but indian public can try to make aneek winner as their local mobile networks are very cheap to send sms and they can vote till 8 pm and obviously they will cast more and more votes easily to make aneek or raja winner. So poor amanat to not get votes.
Some interesting questions at this point, where people are shouting themselves hoarse over who should win-
1. If Amanat loses : the thought is that this happened because the indian people are biased.
Musing – If he wins ( or comes second, lets think this for a minute), what would then the paki folks say?
-This is because of his talent?
-OR, indian people are hospitable and charitable ?
2. If Amanat gets maximum international votes it means he is more talentend
Musing – OR does it simply mean that about 80% of the international votes should have been from pakistan, and they all went to Amanat?
3. zee or indian’s purposely wanted Amanat to lose and therefore gave them less exposure.
Musing – What is the main aim of zee: make money by creating controversy or to show down pakistan?
4. some talks about how sms is bad and judge system is much better and etc.
Musing 1 – in real life, one “votes” for their fav singer by buying their album. That’s how idols are made, aren’t they? Not by critics or judges saying that actually the superstar is that person in the slum who practices classical singing day and night. How is sms different and why is it not similar to real life ?
Musing 2 – if zee were to use judges in srgmp wouldn’t those judges be indian? wouldn’t all these allegations of partiality or bias still continue?

I am in US and voted whole heartedly for Amanat. A lot of my friends in India are voting for Amanat. Lets nut bring racism in to it. Amanat is the best. In the younger lots, Aneek and Raja are very popular and there are crowds of young people in India who are swayed by peppy songs. What ever East or West, Amanat is the best….
This is the first time I’m posting on this blog, although I have been viewing the videos regularly. I too want Amanat to win for 2 reasons -
One, he is talented and humble
Two, I don’t want Pakistanis to be bitter because it seems each and every one of them is convinced that no other singer can match Amanat. They will accuse us of being biased/naasty/insulting while thinking it completely normal that they themselves, down to the last man, have voted for Amanat and only Amanat. lol
Raja’s voice can be hoarse and squeaky at the same time, but Aneek
has a good voice, on par with Amanat’s. My two cents.:)

Why do the finals always go to the public vote?? Why cant they let the public vote only in the semi-finals? isnt it obvious, i’m not being funny, but if this show was in pakistan, im 99% sure that all pakistani’s would vote more for amanat, than Raja/Aneek and give him the majority of the vote.
The show is IN india, and its obvious who the public will vote for.
Raja perhaps didnt get 1st place as his performances havent been as consistant as Amanat or less so Aneek’s (or perhaps VS started showing more interest in the “perfect” playback singer aneek).

when we talk about desperity, we need to be more clear going forward… Mr. HR (needs to learn how to HUMANLY RELATE), i admire his singing, i really believe he sings from his heart and soul, and that is what i heard in Amanat’S VOICE, but today i lost respect for Mr. HR. As i see it, Amanat is already singing for industry and i am sure he is going to be successful, someone will recognize his talent and look beyond his religion and where he comes from. i think he made sure that NO MUSLIM should win, or should i say NO PAKISTANI should win. Aneek was 24% voted in this site because he is a class… And people who support classes are class by themselves, and only bother about doing their work silently, which we all did by voting for our favourite Aneek.
For all other non-Indian members who think that Amanat lost beacuse of the Indo-Pak clash, I would like to tell them that we the people of India have a big heart for talent as you do, and Amanat will continue to stay in our heart, if he proves his talent in his own songs. I am sure that all of them have already done playback, and results will be out soon regarding who is the best. Personally I feel that Amanat lacks the technical perfection like Aneek which I wish he overcomes in the future days. I won’t agree that he is more versatile than Aneek, just to verify this listen to his rendition of Saawariya which is a very simple pop song, and listen to Aneeks Bhul Bhulaiya. I hope that any honest person will agree to this. As of Raja… sorry, I personally don’t feel that you will ever be heard afterwards, because you are the most “sur se hila huwa” person among these three.

You don’t have any understanding of music, which is evident from the fact that you consider Raja king of the same. I think your primary interest was to see HR’s & ID’s face. Regarding your other comment that Aneek’s win means show is rigged, I can only say that if they have rigged the show, the have done this perfectly as all the contestants that went away were in PERFECT order, leaving Mouli who should have been eliminated much earlier. Now, for your kind information, I don’t consider that this show was rigged, as I alone voted around 40000 for Aneek, and I am sure all his other die-hard fans did more than me.
Somebody here also said that dozens of sonu copy-cats can be heard in juhu beach, and Aneek is one of them. Is this guy crazy? He is saying this for a 18 year old kid, who did never, ever, for once lost his “sur” throughout the entire contest. When Aneek started “Laga Chunri Mein Daag”, I thought he is gone.. but hold on, this guy sang this hell of a difficult song with such an ease and perfection that “mere to rountde khade ho gaye”. Yes, Aneek is sonu (which I think is a complement for him), but… he is also zubeen, he is also manna dey, he is also KK, Shaan……………………..
I am absolutely disheartened that HR won, but I will thank God forever for making this divine kid Aneek win. At last we got a SINGER from a talent hunt show.
For those who are not happy with Aneek’s win:
1. The millions who voted for him are not deaf or dumb, to have missed the difference.
2. Through out the whole contest judges found it difficult to criticize his performances , it is about perfection , consistency and pleasure to the hearing abilities. The cuteness of a playback singer does not come on the silver screen.The silver screen is about making money and whoever sells is the winner.
3. Amanat is the next best accomplished singer not Raja Hasan. Raja would do well to improve his singing but with such perfect professional singers in the industry he has to find his niche. He will do well to use his glamour on the silver screen.
4. For a moment zee played up the emotions in the respective fan clubs by declaring who is leading in votes the day before the announcement but as usual it not the die hard fans who were the tie breakers, it is the listening audience who made sure the right one wins, I hope such would be sense when parliament elections are around the corner and you get to choose the lesser evil the politicians.
5. I feel for Amanat because he is from pakistan,he would do well by staying back in India, there all music shops are the taliban favorites for blowing up.
6. And finally about Mouli, who is commendable for coming closer to her roots but she should not be the role model for the younger generation when it comes to the dressing sense.Watching Indians aping the western culture is a nightmare of enormous proportions.Compare her stage appearance with Vidya Balan.
7. Whats with zee, where did they get those belly dancers ? Trying not be unfair to them, watching them was not a pleasure.

Well, congrats to Aneek for such a “superb, fanatastic, mind blowing” win. I’m really glad that voters are so easily persuaded and brain washed, and ZTV can manipulate them into voting for who ever they want. Aneek’s just a singer, I have no problems with him, but those producers over at ZTV would shame the devil himself. Of course all of the praise Aneek has gotten over his performances is highlighted immensely in the grand finale, while Amanat is given a back seat, with the bare minimum of his best comments shown. I agree whole heartedly with what ID said, God is with those who are patient. If you notice, those were ID’s words in the beginning of the show, he knew that Amanat would not win (like many other viewers), and he said those words to Amanat to keep his spirit alive.
Just when I thought HR couldn’t get any worse, what the heck were those comments about Aneek being the youngest, and we should all be amazed by what he has accomplished this early in life? Amanat is only one year older than Aneek, why all the “Amanat Bhaiyya” drama? Why is he trying to imply that Amanat and Raja have an unfair advantage because they’re older, hence more experienced? Yes, Raja is older, but Amanat is 19 while Aneek is 18. They’re both very very accomplished for that age. Why downplay one singer and accentuate the other one?
Amanat is a fantastic singer, and he deserved to win. Being third is just degrading, but alas, we must succumb to the ‘democratic’ vote of the masses, who choose so fairly and justly, and our prime exemplars, those conscientious producers over at ZTV.
People have been saying that Amanat is 19…but there are a lot of discrepancies. I remember before it was always that Amanat was 20, but when it was discovered that Aneek is 18 and doing so well at a tender age, Amanat suddenly became 19!!!

For your kind information, Amanat turned 20 on 10th October 2007. So, his birthday was celebrated just 3 days before. Hence, he has been shown 20 now. And obviously he was 19 all throught out the show.

Ismail Darbar showed his true color. He is just an average biased person who just wanted to win. He was always behind his chelas just like Himesh and others, but the difference is Himesh did it with too much passion and like an idiot. ID did it in a more subtle way, but at the end he could not keep the musk on.

If you guys dont know this yet, just for your information — Ismail Darbar was criticised in the past to state in an interview that he has more talent than A.R. Rahman. This did not make A.R.
