I always enjoyed reading ur comments and this time I couldn’t disagree with your comments.
Amanat is the guy who is miles ahead of others when it comes to versatility. Mussarat on the other hand has that explosiveness in his performances. On his day, no-one can even come close to him.
I think the addition of Mussarat has given a 4th dimension to Saregamapa. I have been watching these kind of talent shows since 8-9 yrs now, but I haven’t seen any contestant like Mussarat before.
But IMHO, Amanat would win SRGMP. He is far far better than Aneek/Raja. In the finals he could unleash some tough classical songs to beat the crap out of everyone.
aneek is damn good, the only problem i see in his future is that his voice is quite same to sonu’s voice. and obviously i dont think producers and music directors are looking for another sonu…. thats the only reason why he didnt get a break after winning all those competitions…
the singers to me who are versatile,,, are amanat and junaid and poonam,,, you dont find these voice texture anywhere,. about mussarat, he is damn goood no doubt…. but i have had a lot of chances to goto pak, and there a thousands of singers like him…. so he is good but not a unique voice….

SUMHEDA sang so amazinly today but yeah it was an easy song
AMANANT got everbody in the mood to sing and dance and he sang the heck outta that song i didnt know that 3 ppl sang that song but if they did then more credit goes to AMANAT and ok it may have been an easy song
BUT!!!! remember these guys r trying there best so for everyone who thought the ppl sang easy songs remember that it takes a lotta confiediance to sing with such grace and admiration and thats what they both did.
POONAM is alwayz amazin and she choose hard songs like mussarat and does excellent.
RAJA 1ST of all has been a good singa and has done an excellant job of choosin the rite song. ANEEK ANEEK ANEEK HEARIN HIS NAME kinda ticks me off thanx to HR. first off all he’s got his personal life invovled in the show.
2nd he will ALWAYZ ALWAYZ ALWAYZ mention ANEEKs name after mussarat performance to make sure the audiance votes for aneek. I LIKE THAT HE mentioned mussarat gave fantastic but he had 2 he had 2 mention aneeks performence. if aneek went after aneek he would never mention mussarat but instead monkey face (HR) would get up to aneek and hung him and kiss him and maybe even lick his A%S@S* but would never mention mussarat becuz he wants all the attention on aneek.
3rd i agree with senty that mussarat has to get his watch or w/e and if he dont i will pitch in money to send him that watch!!! so u mussarat keep that cool attitude and keep singin like that i am still waitin for his GOLDEN ALBUM.

I would like to know what happens to the Winner? Does it really guarantee success? What has happened to the the Winners in the past? Have they made a big name or big bucks for themselves? IMHO this is an excellent platform for singers. One gets the exposure and an opportunity to show one’s talent. After all this is over, it requires a lot of hard work, networking, and dedication to be a big name. So the voted out singers need not take it to heart. We all know they are talented.
On the same note, I wonder if you are indeed a big name, would you have the time to be a mentor or judge on a music reality show. Wouldn’t you be just too damn busy composing or singing etc. So why do some mentors think they are GOD? A lot of hot air from the so called gurus.

Well here what I want to tell HR, Mussarat will not ever have lack of so called ROTI. Mussarat hails from a good family, could have earned his bread n butter by some other means…..now Himesh Reshmia should concentrate on Mussarat’s singing and not his ROTI. Mussarat can earn roti from himself…and does not require his singing for earning roti. I pity on Himesh Reshmiya’s thinking.
We are hungry for good music and good voices that can do justice to the good music, definitely Mussarat can do that justice.

a. Aneek sounds like a young Sonu is true.
b. Before the start of his career, Sonu sounded like Rafi. He started his career doing cover versions of Rafi songs.
c. At the start of her career Lata had to sing like Noor-Jehan to get a foot in the industry.
No, I am not equating Aneek with Lata or Sonu. All I am saying is that, in the music industry to get a foot in the
door, one has to adapt. If Aneek decides to be copy of Sonu at start of his career, then the cream of bollywood
will still run for Sonu no doubt, the the other C & D grade films may opt for a cheaper option.
Similarly, he may attempt to put his foot in the regional language film market,where Sonu may not have time.
Rahul Vaidya, who copied Sonu and was the runner up in Indian Idol, is now a Marathi playback singer. I heard his
first song and its excellent.
Also to note, If Aneek won SaReGaMa bangla, he would have done so singing Bangla songs and Sonu does not have a
high number of Bangla songs.
If you look at his songs from this competition. He has sung songs from Pyaar ke Side affects (originally sung by
Zubin) and has done good justice to them.
Is HR really supporting Aneek?
-Wouldn’t he realise, that him blatantly supporting Aneek and his so called loved story, will only generate
more hatred towards him.
I know Mussarat is a great singer, but hey, just as Aneek copies Sonu, Mussarat copies NFAK. But Aneek has shown
some verstatlity.
The recent episodes haven’t been great. But if we have to vote out on a episode basis,then Mussarat ( because of
his performance in the comedy round) and Raja ( for his pardesi round). Should be the bottom 2. This will do justice
to all who have performed well in the last 2 episodes.
Who I would like to see go off these 2, would be Raja, because he already got a 2nd chance and he has blown it.
Finally, No I am not a Raja or Mussarat hater.
I have read lot of comments about difficult & easy songs…since i am also a singer & if you ask any professional trained singer they will tell you that songs that are sang loud & of high note & scale are not the most difficult but the one’s which are slow & soft as the singer can sing loud songs & easily escape b’cause of background music but soft songs can be easily heard & require lot of effort so that they sound good. Please listen to the songs carefully & vote…thnks..

i agree that today wasn’t Raja’s best performance, BUT he has had so many great performances in the past. Like Shekhar said in the show “every singer has a good day and a bad day” and today was just not Raja’s good day…so that doesn’t mean that i’m going to stop voting for him. I know that Poonam and Mussarat are great singer…im not arguing that, but Mussarat has a tendency to sing only NFAK songs and a singer needs to be versatile and sing all types of songs, not just sufi ones. So please don’t think im trying to be baised towards one singer. I would love to have Poonam, Mussarat, Raja, and Amanat be in the finals, but i know that’s not how its going to happen because Zee is stupid and HR is going to keep pushing Aneek’s stupid love story and its going to get Mussarat eliminated.

Every body says mussarat is not verstile singer, how cud u say that, he has never been encouraged by anyone, even his guru/tharki since first day has labeled him a sufi singer. Did you also spot Hemachandra, who could sing classical as well as other kinds? He is today a well known playback singer in the south.

And now he is doing the same thing with Raja scolding him like a KG student on the stage. I watched Raja’s performance it was not the best but it was not that bad either. This is HR grand plan to get rid of Raja and Aneek.

It appears that it is all planned to place one singer each from India and Pakistan in the final 2 contestants. Amanat’s place is quite secure so all this tussle is going on to place Aneek as the 2nd contestant. HR’s negative comments to Raja and Mussarat support this.
The sad part is BP and VS can balance HR’s negativity but they seem to play indifferent. In the last episode, BP appeared in such a rotten mood just because Mauli is not there. What a childish behavior? Someone should remind him that he still is a guru and mentor on the show.
My humble request to VS, please wake up and stop HR before it is too late.

Amanat was ok as the song was simple & though it was sung by 3 singers originally,Amanat didn’t try to change the voice as raja did in comedy episode.
Also,What is wrong with VS? Or r they just numb that their hand in glove counterpart-BD’s shakira is out?Vs have only one contestant among them,then why the hell they r not spending time on Raja or help him choose good song?This is rediculous.ID has 2 contestants,he is atleast fair to both of them.Then this is rediculous that VS can’t manage only one contestant?

Some people here r so mean to poonam.They pick on her contact lenses & poverty?Why the hell,u guys can’t understand,how much she is devoting herself to music & she has not even given one flop performance(may be 1 or 2 performances were not gr8,but never flop),where as all other singers have zigzag graph!Poonam doesn’t dress up cheap,just her best friend gifted her contact lenses & she uses them,so what’s wrong with that?Why u have to be so mean to her?
Also,poonam herself doesn’t like HR or ID mentioning about her background.Whenevr HR starts talking about it,u should look at her face,u can clearly read disgust on her face! By the way, “mean” is what happened to Mouli AND her fans in this forum last week. And to Himesh. He has struggled a lot to be where he is today. Calling him names is ok coz its fun for us. But its still mean and instulting.

I agree with you entirely about appreciating good singers and not taking their personal stories into account. But again, these stories are out there to affect us, the janta, and to influence the votes. Thats happening, just not the way Zee hoped.

About Poonam i feel bad bcse she is continously underrated & HR is purposely trying to giver her -ve publicity by picking on her poor background.If u watched Zee’s promotional Video,u will notice ,they have thrown poonam in a far away corner & all others r highlighted.things like these make me upset.A powerfull singer should get his/her apreciation beyond looks & glamour.I understand how hard it must have been for poonam to reach here & she has done it on the basis of her power pack performances.I learnt a thing or two from her.I did go into retrospection & realized how extravagant i am in my life style.I have stopped buying things on impulse(clothes & cosmatics) & excessive grocery which most of the times we throw after it’s expiry! here we we r suffering from excesses(effect of capitalizm) which i realized looking at her life experience! So for me,not only her music is soul soothing but soul awakening & soul searching & i feel that is the success of Poonam!
Zee,HR & BD are playing the cheap tactics as they know that many contestants such as mauli,Aneek are not power participants,so such cheap tactics which is a pathetic attempt to overrate average singers.It is working against them bcse u have seen ,our forum is full of hate mails for them.
Now Poonam’s voice is such that even my Godmother who is Sweedish (godfather is Indian)has got hooked to her & this weekend she was trying to feel inspirational so she kept on listening Poonam’s Vandemattaram & cooked 4 packs of food for me to last for this week & she tried to sing vandemataram for me!She also is voting every week for her.
I think that’s a great compliment for her!As her performance has reached beyond language,nationality & country barrier!

Yes I know abt Kunal Ganjawala. He was not a winner in Saregama but he is a good singer. This also goes on to prove that there is no guarantee that the winner of these shows will be successful or will get work in the industry.

No prob yaar. No need to apologize at all. I know the comment was made in fun and I 100% took it that way. I brought it up here coz it seemed to be a good example to defend my ‘contact lens’ comment. And lens or no lens, there is no question that Poonam is a power house of talent.
I do feel very strongly for Poonam and Musarrat the most. They deserve more spotlight than they are getting. For Poonam, I am happy atleast ID is supporting her and encouraging her. But not Musarrat. Its sad. But he is out there on his own. No stories to keep him either. HR’s treatment of Musarrat is already history.
Infact, Raja and Sumedha are the two that I dont think too much of. So far only 2 songs of Sumedha I really liked. The qawwali and this Saturday. Raja is good but most hyped.
Its very interesting to know about your sweedish godmother appreciating Poonam’s vandematharam. That pretty much says it all. I can relate to that coz I listen to french, italian, arabic even oriental songs and can feel the emotions without understanding a word

Aneek is technically a near perfect singer, but he must not win because he appeared late into the competition and too much scandal going on with that guy…haha!
I think Amanat must win the whole thing since he has sung EACH AND EVERY song with technical mastery and perfection from the first show…no one else has done this. He has also has never left the show like Raja who is an incredibly inspiring singer, but Raja’s and Mussarat’s singing are less versatile than Amanat. Raja messed up this week, but Amanat has never messe dup. Amanat has proven he can sing in every genre but not Mussarat, therefore Amanat deserves to win!
Mauli is realy great to listen to, but does not have the perfection in her voice to win and so rightfully got voted out. Poonam is the best girl, followed by Sumedha I think.

Does anyone notice, HR and ID were the 2 Mentors left in 2006 and they were against each other. This time they are playing a mingled game, with HR giving 10s to IDs contestants and ID does the same with HR guys.
And HR shamelessly confessed that in one of the episodes “ab to sab jante hai ke ham dono mile hue hai” Clearly a platform to shoot BP and VS out. And clearly it’s going in the same direction Sumedha is of course not better than Poonam and she’ll be dropped eventually and He scolded Raja like anything in this episode, clearly showing their (HR and ID) game plan. both are Gujaratis and I really really get pissed off at HR with those Dirty CHEAP comments he makes about the lovestory. If u make out at few of the facial shots, Sumedha clearly shows her “Rage” against it. And when Amanat repeated “Pyar kiya to kya darna aur nahi kiya to bhi kyu darna” she.. GIGGLED ..as if spitting at HR.. “take that u bitch”.. i loved that hahaha..

Hi all, I think SRGMP is full of drama and rona dhona… all judges want to get more publiity to their contestants by throwing bakwas comments. But on the other hand, all singers are very good and they all are doing their best.
I am really very happy on Mouli’s way back to pavilion. I think she is worst as compare to other contestants. no one can become a singer by a single song….

The chance of Sumedha getting out is very high. The poll of this wesite also gives the same hint. We will surely miss her melodeous voice and her accurracy of notes.
But the main factor that will paly for Sumedha getting out is the drama of Bappi Lehri, with his unbelievably poor showmanship. Not only his hindi is ridiculus, his english is also horrible and above all his attitude and partiality. Without an eye-blink (though you can never see his eyes) he left the show leaving Sumedha deserted, and criticising the “Janta” for their wrong decision. I am shocked that a musician like him was bluntly refusing that Mauli was not per to any of the six contestants still left in the performance. Anyway Bappi Lehri is the worst among Bong composers and singers mesmerising the bollywood melody since ages.

Yeah sMussart is very potential singer and I dont like HR’s negetive type of comments for him and he is thinking he is promoting love story of Aneek( cooked up though)…That is no good for Aneek and I am sure HR is aware of that…last year he did same thing for Vinit.. and that was a super flop. Vinit could not make it to the final because of all this, he was such a good singer. So HR must stop promoting something not related to music.
To me Amanat was very good, he came with new make over, the song was peppy, one thing I like about Amanat is …he is very very decent… when the gurus are on the stage with him …he touched everyone’s feet…. I am impressed.

hi guys i already commented that mussarrat willbe going this week..i was sure and it happend…very very very sorry that he is not in the show anymore..raja aur aneek were suppose to leave the shhow bcoz of their poor performence as compare to others…we ll miss u mussarrat bhai..u r a great singer no doub.happy to see amanat ji on top…amanat ji shud win the contest..i wish that aneek o to pavillion next week so that we can get rid of HR.i hate him.hate is a strong word to use but he deserve it.he clearly said ki humaare marks kaat do laikin bappi nhi jane chahiyen…arghhhhhhhhhhh..thats why we dont have mussarrat now…i am pissed off.uff this is preplanned i am sure they dont count the votes..huh.anyways..mussarrat ji waiting for ur album and i wish u best of luck.

i am just listening to Amanat’s golden collection & i am totally disappointed.I don’t think,he is a great singer! where as Poonam is a real power house.She has sung so beautifully!her voce totally captivates u,it has that power! ofcourse the voice quality of both the singers is different but poonam is way above even Raja! If u don’t believ me,pls burn the CD’s & listebn with surround sound & then in ur car,u will realize it!so i have no other alternative than only listen to raja & poonam on the way to work.the only song of Amanat holds me is his Eh watan pak watan! he did full justice!
After mussarat gone,honestly for me only 2 singers r there worth cometiting

lekin bechari lacks in the oomph factor , doesnt sing suggestive item songs with suggestive jhatkas, and doesnt sing easy songs like sumedha-easy but damn popular songs, one’s you cant go wrong with..

pls. don’t do this,pls vote for Poonam!u know,on this forum,there r very few of us who apreciate her on the basis of her talent & not on the basis of Oomph or love traingle! If we leave her at this stage,it will be very bad for her!For her sake,pls pls do vote! Now Zee has already done damage but i would like Poonam to be on the top as she deserves it!My sweedish mother understood this & she is voting for her religiously!

I always myself voted many times for Poonam and also have others I know had voted for her. I agree with Basu that Poonam should be voted as she had been performing well and to me very very well. But I was really disappointed and somewhat angered by elimination of Mussarat before the elimination of Raja ( who performed horribly last episode) and Aneek. If these two were gone first and then if Mussarat was gone , I would taken that but before these two guys if he is eliminated, I will speak aloud about this injustice because in every respect he is twice as better than two of them combined. Poonam will sure be voted and I will make sure she gets lots of votes from Pakistan, atleast from peshawar, She is going to have a bunch of them. Long Live Poonam. We support you.

I agree with Anon, the votes really don’t count. If this was on votes then we know M_mataji may have left long back. It’s just a waste of Money and time. They have already chosen the final 3 and the Winners.
I say winners because in this first ever Indo-Pak singing competion, Zee will want to gain popularity in hearts of people of both countries. The best way is to do dramebazi and say ” First time in history of television, there is a Joint winner”, and 1 Indo , 1 Pak winner may get chosen.
So let’s chill out and not fall in their traps.

Truth is we are all saying Aneek , Raja and others but I think our ears been closed that we could not appreciate such a fine and beautiful voice like Poonam’s. It’s a pity that we still are a gender bias society for the most part.ID tried to tell about her almost on each episode and he is still telling us this if we ever listen to him. But people pay more attention to male contestents only.She came just to sing and that’s exactly she did. We all who follow this show voted consistently for Poonam and we will do that till we see her into semi and finals. And if that final ever been between Poonam and Aneek, Then This is a promise of a Khan (me) from peshawar( Khan ka waada Hamesha Pakka Wada) that even if I had to take the whole peshawar city on gun point to vote for her, I will not let Aneek win.

Oh,Gaffar,i love u! u r so cute!I really loved ur vada & i almost visualized it!I don’t like Aneek,as u may find thousands of them in india/pakistan.there is nothing great about him!I think HR’s antics have created the image of Aneek as a lover boy & girls have fallen for him!I will be very disappointed if Poonam gets eleminated before him!
And if the finals is between Aneek & poonam (khuda nakare!)then i know we have u!

@Saniya- you are right that it’s all TRP stuff. And this is going on with ZEETV’s director’s “Aheerwad”.Otherwise sumedha’s Mom could Sue ZeeTV for this nonsense. Bad thing is that HR pulling Amanat(only 19 years old ) into it to negatively impact his public image in upcoming votes so that His “bachcha” can win. I hope Amanat wakes up sooner than later.
@Sana – you are right.. Mussarat’s departure is sad.HR succeeded in his efforts to Aneek look taller by pulling other’s legs.
I agree with you about HR. I mean what’s this “Bachcha Grooming Busniess” he is into these days? Is not this a singing contest or Bahcha Grooming? I heard him saying almost on each episode” mera Bachcha, is ney bohat mehnat ki hai”. As if all others came to sell watermelons there? I can even forgive him for all this crap BUT not for disrespect with Legendary “Ashaji”. He should be very very careful against such figures because people like “Ashaji” reside in the memory of Hundreds of millions of people day and night even well before HR’s own birth. I was really very angered how he treated her over a controversial decision. She was the Maha Guru so he should have taken that and kept his mouth shut. Because people love Ashaji more than he can even imagine in dreams to become popular.
@Basu , Have You seen the opening song of August 17th Saregamapa? It explains the elimination pattern .I am sure you are already aware of this. I mean so far they are correctly following the pattern described in it.

Yes,i saw it & i am worried about it.I also requested everyone to vote for poonam to break serial murder chain of zee TV so that we can atleast have mental satisfaction that we tried our best but u know on this forum there is so much gender bias & people r doing the same thing what HR is doing—promoting Aneek! also,now so much over mussarat is going on,i liked him but people r talking same thing again & again rather than moving on.so i am sort of tired of this forum now!Most of the bloggers refuse to see Zee’s marketing gimmic.

Stop wasting ur time in voting for this drama. Nothing will change. Dekha nahin Mussarat ke saath kya hua!!! Our votes dont count. SMS & internet voting is just an eyewash to fool public into thinking that their decision counts!!!!!
If votes were seriously & honestly considered & counted by Zee, the so-called suck-Ira of India would have gone long back.
Zee is certainly following a pattern of elimination(one contestant from each gharana, next week its going to be either Amanat or Poonam). It really doesn’t matter whether u vote 100 times or 1000 times to Amanat or Poonam. Either one has to go to maintain the balance of each gharana.
BTW, Poonam & Amanat are also my favs. But my vote doesn’t count at all & so does urs, so y shd I even waste time.
Agar tum logon ko itna hi vote karney ka mann hai then VOTE FOR THE GUY JO BAHUT MEHNAT KARTA HAI, JISKI SACHI MOHABBAT HAI. JISNE PYAR KIYA HAI aur pyar karna koi paap nahin hai. Jo sabse kam umar hai aur versatile hai( you know who m I am referring to!!!!).
Only one way Poonam can be spared from elimination. If she starts wooing Aneek into her pyaar ka jaal. Or she manages to perform cheap tricks(latka jhatka with revealing skin) on the stage. Phir Ho sakta hai, Zee apni script mein koi change kare to accomodate the new Poonam.

Basumatika & Anonymous—– Anonymous , I have the same feel on public voting and it’s impact on elimination. I think there is absolutely no connection between the two. If there were, what explains Raja and Aneek still being there? They performed worse on many previous occasions.
Moreover, Basu, As now that you have seen that elimination Pattern and so far it has proved to be true. Here is a surprising Stat over that. If You count , you will find there are total 9 participants in total on that elimination list, Junaid been the last. Well, Just to be that ONLY combination be true ( the one you seen on video) , there are 362,880 possibilities out of which that particular was the one. After, Junaid’s elimination that reduced to one out of 40,320.After Harpreet, to 5040 and after Mauli it reduced to ONE out of 720 and After Mussarat that further reduced to one such combination possible out of 120 now. My point is that that particular pattern holds true starting from Junaid and till Mussarat’s against all those possible combination regardless. That indicate very strongly to a pre-planned pattern based upon not random occurrence of events but pre-selected ones. Otherwise it’s hard to explain the probabilities. Anyway, If Poonam is the next beside a massive voting for her specially from this part of Pakistan, It is then obvious that the biggest player in all of this is ZEETV itself.
