Thanks for apologizing. You need to learn how to react in public forum. FYI- I have organized 3 shows of Jagjit ji in NJ and I did called him. I organized 4 shows of Sonu, 1 Asha as well. They were hit. Sonu’s concert- avg ticket price is $75 and Jagjit- average tick is $25.
Secondly, somebody said Amanat also sang plaback in the past. Yes Jagjit ji also did. But I am sure you can count numbers with Sonu and Ghazal singers doing playback.
Thrid this episode was Ghazal based and Amanat has to be No 1 becuase it was his forte. Just the last episode, the judges and the invitees gave Aneek the BEST.
Fourth- Check all the performance from June 1st week and count Between Aneek and Amanat– Hope you have that much of intelligence to figure that out.
Fifth- Its not a software. You can put the song on any keyboard (6.5 up) and set the parameters and it can give the result. That’s the way music directors also put patches in the recording studio (obviously on heavy equipments).

I am not forcing but just saying my views. I agree that HR is not acceptable and that’s the reason Aneek is getting pushback. Do me a favor— call anybody who has music knowledge and show him/her all the past episode and see what the results comes out.
Also wait for Oct 5, it won’t be a Ghazal round. Look Mahaguru’s are Mahaguru’s but they don’t support playback music. Becuase first it hits there market and secodnly they just can’t do it. Not saying they lie but that the name of the game.
Yes, Amannat did missed sur on 7 ocasions but who cares now. See Raja– he was all over the place but still the mentors said that he is the best. Twice the key board player lowered 2 taal steps to adjust. Plus Raja was gasping.. Not that he has this problem but his concentration was moe on dancing and that’s why he flawed. Breathing has been a problem for Amanat (check Bappi’s comment, supported by Shakhar as well).
Ask Amannat to sign the PADOSAN song which Aneek did (Kishor and Manna)– he will crash becuase it involves voice modulation and fast pitching– both he lacks.
I know you are all impressed by his great performance and so do I. I think he matched Gulam saheb in the Ghazal. But that’s his forte. Give me Hemant / Mukesh, Kishor, SOnu, Sanu– (on Komal taal)– see what he does.
I am also a fan of Amannat but I can’t be biased becuase technically Aneek is better and also commercially he will be more successful.
If you want to revert, please don’t use abusive language amd if you do, you will just show your class. Arguments can be done gently as well.

The silly comments abt Bongs are really so redeculous! The big Bengali names in the Bollywood music world is endless. Just citing two-KISHORE KUMAR,R,D BURMAN. Know these names? Shall we forget Bappi lahiri, Preetam Bhattacharya, Shan, Sreya Ghosal? Then there is the NATIONAL ANTHEM WRITER AND COMPOSER - RABINDRANATH. Satisfied? Jokes apart, Aneek,Amanatand Raja- all three singers are outstanding.Its difficult to compair them- all have different style. Not a very appropriate analogy-like we can’t say who is better- Rafi, Kishore or Mukesh.So the winner will win just by sheer luck for securing more votes, as the other two are equally talented.And one can make out from some of the post how some of the voters are! Zee TV should appropriately recognise and reward the FIRST and SECOND RUNNER UP also.

I know that you can tweak recordings in the studio, that is general knowledge, but how did you arrive at those scores 8.45 or 7.15 or whatever precise number you came up with. Technical/mathematical details will help.
People who organize shows are usually busy people and don’t find time to argue on such forums. Especially not the amount of comments which you have found the time to write. Regardless, if you really do organize these shows, tell me more about your company. Do you guys do benefit shows for charities? I work for an Asha chapter (Asha Philadelphia was one of the beneficiaries for some of Jagjit Singh’s concerts if I’m not mistaken), so if you REALLY are such a big shot, maybe you can prove it and do a benefit show for my org! hehe =]

Even if your aneek is perfect technically which you are claiming he is, remember that we have Sonu Nigam who is way ahead of your aneek and we do not need a mini sonu. So, your analisis of saying that aneek will be a successful playback singer is just a joke, no one wants a copycat singer unless it is proved that aneek is technically so better that sonu will be erased from the industry.
And if aneek is so good technically then why hasn’t he been offered any contract. He got the bangla film contract and he will be a bengali playback singer just like rahul vaidya of indian idol one more copycat of sonu now is a marathi playback singer.
It is Amanat who has got offers and he already has sung one or two songs in the upcoming bollywood movies. So, this will show clearly who is in demand. Music directors are smart enough to understand while giving offers to him that he is the only person in the show who can add a different voice and texture to our industry.
But all this doesn’t matter as people have their favourites and they will vote accordingly. So, respect their opinion and give them the freedom to choose. Just enjoy the performance of these 3 boys whoever may be the winner, it really doesn’t matter.

Sonu also praised Rahul vaidya of indian idol a lot and he was so hurt when he got eliminated that he had tears in his eyes and he gave a standing ovation to rahul and he also said that he will support Rahul vaidya to come up as a singer. So, if Sonu praises rahul or aneek it doesn’t mean that they are better than him. Yes, they are good singers but being copycat singers they have their limitations, they can only become playback singers for their region as the original Sonu is doing a brilliant job and he is an established and most popular singer in our bollywood industry. No copycat singer can snatch Sonu’s offers from him, aneek can only become a playback singer in bengal just like rahul in maharashtra.

I missed both the episode on the TV, so I logged into internet this time.
Both the episodes are great!
A very nice start with Pundit Jasraj ji followed by Jagjit Singh ji
Pata nahi kaun sa 1942 wala potli se zee walon ne Aneek ko chun ke song diya…mein ne to yeh gana kabhi bhi nahi suni. Dosto aaplogo ne keya is song ko sun chuke hain Bahut baar?( Bahut baar chodiye ek do baar?) Truly I have not. It was not a good choice for Aneek….becharaa maar khayega isi pe…He sung it well…but again he won’t get vote, hardly people know about this song other then Senty.(senty to yaese bole hain mano uski/uska kaan ke saamne yeh gaana roz baaje hain)
Amanat’s song was pretty popular and he sang it very well. Raja’s song was also popular but I liked Amanat’s performance better then Raja and Aneek in the first round.
Laga Chunri mein Daag was outstanding by Aneek, his sur taal was better,mujhe to boyish voice with sur and taal in right place jaayeda pasand hogi rather then matured voice with no breath control or hilta huwa sur taal. So my vote is for Aneek.
Amanat is tooo good his performances are outstanding, out of the world toooo. I would like to hear songs from Amanat and Aneek in the near future.( Logo aap bura mat maano…yeh meri khwaish hain…zaruri nahi ki aapka khwaish mere khawish se match Karen!) Usi tarah I don’t agree with many people here, I don’t agree any of the comments from Aneek hater group. I feel they are all crap. Mein to CTRL+ ALT+DEL marti hun maan mein….ya fir Ignore button dabati hun. Kiyo ki mujhe pata hin ki Aneek hater log chillate hain jayeda aur pate ki baat kam karte hain.
Not to forget Poonam sang well but she was out based on her last week performances, she was really weak last week. But overall she is a good singer, achche guru aur talim milegi to ek din India ki great singer banegi. I think uski koi formal musical training nehi hain fir bhi kamal kari hain … I wish her all the success in life bas she should not go to lucknow, she should be in Bombay…there is a saying out of sight. out of mind… kaal koi dursa singer aa jayegi and she will be forgotten…. She (needs/must get ) support and blessing of big people in the industry.
I am too happy about our culture which I am able to watch in every show …especially in this show, the contestants always touches the feet of guru ji. Amanat is also doing the same, I don’t know if they do it in Pakistan also. Raja Aneek and Poonam …I am not commenting on them as they being Indian they know the culture, but Amanat is from other country and I am so impressed by his decency.
The Guru’s are really really great… HR was praising for VS , VS praising for HR, sometime ID was doing that for HR and VS …I mean vice versa, which was good to see.
In the second episode OSO ka Aneek wala was not bad at all…he sang it well, peheli baar sun rahi thi lekin kaano ko aur dil ko bhi accha laga. HR ne ekdam sahi kahan ki VS ne Raja ko disco wala gaaana diya which is very catchy song aur Raja ne dhoya sabko, that is fine with me as they are Raja’s guru so naturally they will give him the most catchy one. Amanat wala gaana mere dil ko nahi choowa. Second round me Aneek ne sabko dho diya with variations and outstanding sur and taal(Satrangi re) .
On the whole I enjoyed it very much.

Singing Sonu’s song is not so easy. He did it in his own voice and style.
Second point:
He sang so many songs of other singers. Songs are listing below.

God, this forum is getting real ugly. People are now on Language bias. Bengali Vs Non bengali. Some are using Slangs some are even going further.
1. No need to say Bengali don’t have Playback singer. Somebody added few names… I can add few more.
2. Those people should know who got the only Oscar — Satyajit Ray– bengali
3. Who got the best female award- Intl flim- Suchitra Sen (Saat Pake Badha)– Only once from India so far
4. Who got the best flim– Apur Sansar– Bengali.
But none are the points. Its shame to drag this to this line.
Even some is asking credentials. Well I am a member of No 1 social organization of India but I won’t name it. Becuase you guys will use words to insult this august institution as well. (see some have gone so far, that It’s shame to read as well).
I am actually fan of Mussrrat becuase his Bandit queen song is still the best in the entire series. But he has been voted out. One can imagine why by looking at this forum.
Some are saying again and again– that Farh gave break to Amanat. They don’t know Aneek already recorded in 7 songs (More than double of Amanaat). He has been asked to sign by Pritam, Vishal B (see Statesman).
But that’s not the point also. The point is WHO IS THE BETTER SINGER AND IT SHOULD BE BASED ON A) PAST PERFORMANCE, B) TECHNICALITY C) PRESENTABILITY / PACKAGING (REMEMBER playback singer needs the finishing) D) WHO HAS BETTER GRIP ON SUR E) WHO IS VERSATILE.
Sure everybody has weeknees. Aneek is week on low but Amannat is week on fast pitching and high modulation (imagine last alaap of PADOSAN- if he sings). Aneek voice’s still soft becuase of age but that’s not a weekness. It comes with age and one can’t do anything. But he can still sign. But Amannat has proununciation (see Salman’s comment on Aneek). I can visualize the reason becuase he is from Dubai and must be conversing in English all the times.
But the reason which I am tired is A) technicality B) finishing C) Versatality… Aneek is ahead of Amnnat. You can say whatever you want.. But the fact is Amnnat doesn’t have RANGE and ANEEK has RANGE.
I am a fan of Amannat. But when voting comes, I will use it juditiously and not based on biased/ religion / and so on..
Also– check The Statesman.. This holiday season– many organizer have cancelled SOnu (who takes 24 lacs for one program) and have taken Aneek. Well he sounds Sonu but he has sang Kishor, Manna, Rabbir, Udit, Rafi….. Check for Amannat and see the results. He can’t sign for Kishor nor Manna nor even Rafi.
Anyway, I am done. Becuase i thoought its a good forum but people are using slangs.
Those who have used against me have shown there REAL CLASS.
I think one of the most important thing about Aneek is his voice is very very SWEET and also he feel the songs…his expression…he sings from inside heart…thats makes him very special…
and of course not to say his perfection, quality in notes…and no mistake..
After all songs first has to sound good only after that correct singing etc comes….see Kishore Kumar; he never learn to sing from anybody…he didnt have any guru…no training is formal music.. but he just sing so sweet ….thats why you forgot everything…else

Let me tell you brother, I come from that part of India where urdu is spoken heavily and I can tell you Aneek’s urdu pronunciation is not good for a playback singer. He mis-pronunces certain words. He needs to take urdu classes b4 beginning his playback jorney coz 90% of bollywood songs r based on urdu words.
Your opinion is biased and ur computer needs a good format and new software. Ur technical analysis is coming out faulty coz ur software needs to be updated. The software patch of eliminate regionalism virus needs to be applied.
People like us who dont know technical details dont analyse singers using computer and techy terms like Komal Ga, Komal dha etc. Folks like us listen to music with our ears & heart open without getting into too much technical details. For folks like us, Amanat was no.1 and that opinion was confirmed by two legends.

Hello folks, how are you all doing? I saw so many posting after my last posting and even went through few of them . It’s interesting to know that some people, not you guys, are trying to polarize opinions on country lines or religion which is sad. Majority of names I mentioned above know that I voted for Poonam since from the beginning because I truely believed in her talent and hoped that she was going to be the finalist. But I can see how popular votes can eliminate true talents ( Poonam,Mussarat) and less talented ones can flourish. With Poonam and Mussarat there, Amanat was not on my list of voting because I already had these two candidates.After elimination of Poonam which to me was the biggest injustice of SRGMP , among remaining participants Amanat look most promising.
Now, people can have their likes and dislikes and can post what they like but it’s bad to use offensive language to others, and try to redicule them because they differ in opinion from them. I contested couple of them and you can read them above somewhere.One of them was to Arup.
Another mail is which I have not yet contested and the Author of that is “Debjit”. You can read it in the middle of all messages. You can well imagine upto what level people can go.
It’s not that I do not have good vacabulory to answer that person, But I do not feel it is necessary at this stage. But I will take care of him if deemed necessary.

I am not trying to influence anyone here, I have told clearly give people the freedom and let them choose their best. I have also told that this is just a show so it doesn’t really matter who wins here. I am also not predicting future, as I also have said clearly that we will get to know who is more talented only after a few years. Don’t simply put the false allegation on me just to strengthen your arguement, it will take you no where. Learn to use your brain first, read properly before commenting on others. I just said, I would like to go with the Pt. Jasrajji and Jagjitji’s verdict, and hence is the reason why I FEEL Amanat is better (that is my opinion). I am not here to prove that Amanat is better than others by writing some technical analysis or by giving the list of songs sung by Amanat of different singers. If your mom says Raja has sang better than Aneek in front of SRK ( without music ), then your mom is as biased as you are or don’t have any sense of music. Raja screwed up chhaiyan chhaiyan big time both without music and with music.
Any day, Amanat and Aneek are far better than this awful Raja who eats up words, struggles for breath and terrible in low notes…
Amanat is better than Aneek in classical music but Aneek is better in contemporary rap/hip-hop music….Both deserve to win….

Also great to see people are so music savvy now a days. These kids (one is 18 and other is 19) have great future ahead.
But my fav WAS, IS and WILL be POONAM. This lady has shown METTLE. She has shown what a woman is all about by adopting a kid. I;m so proud that she has shown all of us a great lesson on humanity. May GOD BLESS HER with all God can offer.

At one point of time it was so nice to visit this site and write our comments and people were so humble and sophistcated in replying. We all used to have such good fun and passed each other good info about ourselves but now this site has gone to dogs. So many people are coming with false ids (aneek supporters with muslim names, one person with multiple ids) I mean, people can go to such an extent to play tricks and are using such abusive languages. I just like to say that earlier I enjoyed being a part of this site and I do miss those days.

it is great to know you all. I think our journey was only till here and now its been over taken by these biased and aggressive people.

I think 29th sep episode was excellent all the singers were good we should appreciate that this the first time these singers are performing on such a big stage where hunredrs of thousands of people are watching them and specially the celebraties sittting in front of them good job.Buti really missed Mussarat very powerful and different voice i have really lost interest in SRGP just to keep interest after every episode i listen to Mussart’s songs no match at all really.One request to Zee tv please invite Mussarat for the Final we want to listen to him again.Thank you

Looks like the Board is in the midst of a little verbal war here, and I shall just say that both Amanat and Aneek excel in their own ways; Amanat excels in some think Aneek doesn’t and vice versa. So, technically, they are both equally good.
As for the whole thing about who will make it big in the industry, I’m not holding my breath. As talented as these guys are, they aren’t going to get many breaks in Hindi cinema. The same was the case last year, when assets such as Nihira and Hemachandra were expected to make it big. Himesh even went on and on about how he would give Vineet tons of offers. But did he get any? Nope. There are now SO many singers out there in the industry, the only ones who are actually maintaining some hold are the veterans (Sunidhi Chaun, Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, KK, Sukwinder Singh, the list goes on…). Very rarely are the new singers truly recognized, save for people like Zubeen. This is a pity, but sadly that’s how it is.

I am not saying Raja is a bad singer, but he is in no way ‘divine.’ Has he been giving consistently kick-arse performances week after week? No. Did he perfectly nail Chaiyya Chaiyya today? No. Did he outperform everybody last episode when they were all singing ghazals? No. To be ‘divine’ he would have to be flawless every single time he opened his mouth, but is he? No.

Wrong. You call yourself an impartial judge on musical talent? These comments are easily stemming from your extreme favoritism for Raja. Raja has shown his mastery in sufi songs, no doubt, but what proof do you have that Amanat cannot sing them well also? Plus, Raja is ONLY praised enormously when he sings sufi-like songs. Otherwise, for ghazals and other genres Amanat outclasses him because he is easily the more versatile singer.
Once again, I don’t hate Raja. But your claims are far-fetched and baseless.

Ten year old kid? Do you even pay attention to the show in question? He stated he is eighteen, first of all, and for such a young man (who is still considered a teenager, mind you) his voice easily outclasses a huge number of ’singers’ who are older than him.
What about Debojit, and Sandeep Achalia, and Qazi Toqueer? They are all older, and have ‘won’ competitions, but Aneek beats them all.
Singing cannot be his career? Are you on crack? I question you again, do you even listen to him sing? Or do you not even watch the bloody program and expect to sound intelligent?
And don’t vent out frustration on HR on Aneek. HR sucks as a singer, but Aneek is light-years ahead of him. HR is the desperate attention-seeking prat, and Aneek has no choice but to put up with it.
And saying RAJA IS THE BEST over and over again doesn’t make your argument any stronger.

The rafi ghazal that Aneek sang is from the film “Naunihaal”. Its a beautiful Madan Mohan composition. I am surprised that you are not familar with this very popular song. And yup, its on mymostfav playlist and yes maam, yeh mere kaan mein roz teen chaar baar bajta hai
I think Aneek did very well in this “ghazal” round. But this is a very easy song to sing and not the best for a “ghazal” round. I thought it was a smart move though..

Some general comments for @all ….
Years ago, when Sonu was a no-name and when I heard Sonu’s “Achcha sila diya” for the first time, he stood out like a can of chilled coke on a hot dry sunny mid-day sun. I was so in awe of his voice, but was surprised that he was doing only Rafi cover versions. I bought the cover versions just to hear this guy’s voice.
Point is that Sonu was struggling for years until the movie “Bewafa Sanam” happened. Even after that, he was STILL struggling until TVS saregama, and “Border” happened.
Lesson learnt - Talent alone doesnt provide roti….. you have to stand out amongst the millions of bollywood playback wannabees…
And must have more than just a powerful lucky charm.
I honestly feel the musical competion is between Amanat and Aneek. But Raja might win this just coz he can pull in more votes. Dont we ever learn from history ?
Region based campaigning for votes for a contestant of a particular community is driven only by the ego of the community. Its got nothing to do with sur or sangeet.
If one thinks Aneek sings best, then one should definitely vote for Aneek. If one thinks Aneek is from one’s community. and hence one should vote for Aneek, then one is being disrespectful to tha kala of sangeet. Ditto for Amanat or Raja.

As I said before that I agree with Mahagurus’ decision more and better than the popular vote. Because no one understand music better than them and their verdict , to me, is the best judgement ever possible even better than public vote. Because if you see Amanat was second last in receiving public votes but punditji took one second to reach the decision because of his understanding and experience . Aneek is good and I would say better than lots like Sumedha, Mauli etc, I still feel that Poonam and Harpreet deserved to be in competion instead of Aneek. But guys just be true and honest to heart, do you think Amanat and Aneek had the potential to sing Chaiya and Dard de Disco the way Raja did. He set fire on Stage! No matter how technically perfect in Sur etc..unless there is no depth and feeling the songs simply will be forgotten..I feel like listening Raja again and agin with these kind of songs..hope he gets all good wishes and has a good future..
If Raja may not be finalist and poonam got eliminated but they wil remain as true legends..nd I can sy with confidence tht they wil be the best play back singers so fr in Saregamapa

friends I totally agree that all the three finalists are good,but you know what!Raja can only sing the songs which suit his qualiTo all the music lovers/who really ty of voice,like THE SHAKIRA/Mauli could only sing the songs in which she would utilize her nose or eyes to put effort in singing.So actually Raja does sing good,but in fact he is not a good singer.He is a performer,who can make the crowd happy.I do agree that when he is singing and that also has to be the RIGHT song for him,he makes people yell for him.but u have heard him singing or struggling to sing whenever he is singing a song that is not actually MEANT for him.so my dear friends this SAREGAMAPA is a compettion of singers,not the performers.Raja is JUST a performer.If he wins the contest(God forbid!)Mauli could also win.(com’n I will quit watching SAREGAMAPA then).
So we are left with Aneek and above all Amanat.Aneek is a good singer.But Amanat is Great!People who are not biased for him(as he is from Pakistan)must accept that he is the best.At least speak truth to yourself if you do not want to admit this in public having fear that oh my God!if I say so all the indians would think that i am not loyal with India or i am not patriotic enough to support my fellow indian contestant.Have a open heart and accept that fact as everybody has witnessed that Amanat is the perfect voice to win the contest.you have witnessed that he can sing all types of songs.I really mean it.ALL TYPES OF SONGS.
I know indians have a big heart to organize such a contest in which you brought pakistani singers,so just prove it that you have even a bigger herat by voting a deserving singer(Amanat).and trust me if Amanat wins(God please listen to my prayers! and I am sure that people around the world are going to vote Amanat as i guess It is not i nGod’s hands alone)pakistanis are going to be thankful to India for bringing both countries closer through music.Believe me that this SAREGAMAPA started this contest with a concept of worldwide competition,I was a bit scared.because I admit that Indians are really really good at music,and i was just hoping to be embarrased by the performances of pakistani singers.I thought that they will be bringing shame by singing poorly in front of all those good singers.But I was absolutely wrong.Amanat,Junaid and Mussarrat made all Paakistanis feel proud of them.They have performed so well throuhgout the contest.
iknow that indians are music lovers,they love all the forms of arts.and i know that they are appreciative of those who can sing good as we have witnessed in the past.Nusrat fateh ali khan,Reshman,Adnan sami khan,Atif aslam,Shafqat amanat are a few to name who were honoured and got recognition for their talents .
So please one more time accept a good and deserving singer.Vote for Amanat.I thankyou all who have been voting for him in the past and I thankyou in advance for voting him in recent future.And yes i also thankyou in advance for making him THE WINNER!TRUE?

Regarding last 29th Sep episode, it was a fabulous show. No doubt all singers performed very well. Onik unfortunately was good but could not beat the upbeat Raja and Amanat. With great respect to all beautiful singers, I felt Amanat sung with great perfection, voice modulation was excellent and undoubtedly he impressed me a lot, a lot. However, hats off to Indian audience and may God bless Indian audience which has been overwhelmingly supporting Amanat being a Pakistani gentleman. Being a Pakistani, I pray may God keep India a great,beautiful and a prosperoous nation.

I agree that all three singers are very talented. HR is getting very annoying with his love story angle, and will brings in Aneek’s name in every comment he makes. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I don’t feel he is being ‘real’, more into manipulating audience. Could be his success is getting to his head. Anyways, Looking forward to the next episode of this otherwise excellent talent show.

The same way you mentioned that Raja has his style and so does Mauli…I just want to add that Amanat has his own style[since the beginning I was saying that either Amanat or Raja should win.
Faraana jee you need to wake up and see the fact that Amant is loved by many Indians [I don't think that Indian people ever show partiality ,just becuz he aint from India] Junoon-Adnan r best examples and now Amanat and Musarrat[hopefully Junaid]

This is a music/singing contest and boundaries should be ignored as it has been ignored till today by all of us. I am fully supporting Amanat for the top position. He is the one who can remain in that position for long time. He is very versatile and consistent singer. I am watching him for so long, even though he is not getting as much support from judges as other contestants, but he is still winning on peoples vote, Indians are amazing and I am proud to be one of them.
I wish all the best there is for him.
Well … i must say all the three contestants are very very good…however, I surely feel that Raja is being given an undue advantage by offering songs with more vibe. His last performance was very good but comprised of Sukhwinder songs only, which doesnt’ really helps in making him the No.1.
Again would stress all three Amanat, Aneek and Raja have excellent voices but my feeling is tht Raja is being favored. I would like to wish Good luck to Amanat and Aneek, because Raja already has things rolling in his way.

People choise right who gave vote to Aneek. Aneek deserve it. He is only singer who has perfect versality. Raja & Amanat are also very good singer. But Aneek is ready for playback right now (As Shekhar told). It is undoubted that Aneek is right winner. Always remember once you can win by luck but nor twice.
