Looks like the Board is in the midst of a little verbal war here, and I shall just say that both Amanat and Aneek excel in their own ways; Amanat excels in some think Aneek doesn’t and vice versa. So, technically, they are both equally good.
As for the whole thing about who will make it big in the industry, I’m not holding my breath. As talented as these guys are, they aren’t going to get many breaks in Hindi cinema. The same was the case last year, when assets such as Nihira and Hemachandra were expected to make it big. Himesh even went on and on about how he would give Vineet tons of offers. But did he get any? Nope. There are now SO many singers out there in the industry, the only ones who are actually maintaining some hold are the veterans (Sunidhi Chaun, Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, KK, Sukwinder Singh, the list goes on…). Very rarely are the new singers truly recognized, save for people like Zubeen. This is a pity, but sadly that’s how it is.

Okay, pardon me now folks as I go on a rant.
Hey Amanat and Aneek fans, you do not understand music.
Normally I wouldn’t reply to such a post, but I feel I have to out of pure irritation.
You are telling Amanat and Aneek fans that they do not understand music? Oh the hypocrisy of it all. Especially taking into consideration some of the stuff you posted:
Listen to Raja’s songs. It is divine. Indian music industry has never seen a singer like this.
Oh REALLY?? I can think of one. Oh…I don’t know, maybe Sukhwinder Singh perhaps?
As for his songs being divine, that is a gross overstatement. I am not saying Raja is a bad singer, but he is in no way ‘divine.’ Has he been giving consistently kick-arse performances week after week? No. Did he perfectly nail Chaiyya Chaiyya today? No. Did he outperform everybody last episode when they were all singing ghazals? No. To be ‘divine’ he would have to be flawless every single time he opened his mouth, but is he? No.
Amanat is 1000 miles behind Raja. Amanat cannot sing any sufi songs. Even if e sings that no one will be able to tollarate him.
Wrong. You call yourself an impartial judge on musical talent? These comments are easily stemming from your extreme favoritism for Raja. If you didn’t have this biased opinion about Raja, you might actually pause to actually listen to them sing. Amanat is not 1000 miles behind Raja; he is easily on the same level, if not ahead, of him. Raja has shown his mastery in sufi songs, no doubt, but what proof do you have that Amanat cannot sing them well also? Plus, Raja is ONLY praised enormously when he sings sufi-like songs. Otherwise, for ghazals and other genres Amanat outclasses him because he is easily the more versatile singer.
Once again, I don’t hate Raja. But your claims are far-fetched and baseless.
Aneek is a 10 year old kid, he is just trying talk slowly. Singing cannot be his career. He should be in drama with HR as his director.
Ten year old kid? Do you even pay attention to the show in question? He stated he is eighteen, first of all, and for such a young man (who is still considered a teenager, mind you) his voice easily outclasses a huge number of ‘singers’ who are older than him.
What about Debojit, and Sandeep Achalia, and Qazi Toqueer? They are all older, and have ‘won’ competitions, but Aneek beats them all.
Singing cannot be his career? Are you on crack? I question you again, do you even listen to him sing? Or do you not even watch the bloody program and expect to sound intelligent?
And don’t vent out frustration on HR on Aneek. HR sucks as a singer, but Aneek is light-years ahead of him. HR is the desperate attention-seeking prat, and Aneek has no choice but to put up with it.
And saying RAJA IS THE BEST over and over again doesn’t make your argument any stronger.
So, in the future, before posting such demeaning comments, actually think about what you’re saying. I’m sorry if I sound harsh or if I lost my temper, but for posting such comments you have no excuse.

The rafi ghazal that Aneek sang is from the film “Naunihaal”. Its a beautiful Madan Mohan composition. I am surprised that you are not familar with this very popular song. And yup, its on mymostfav playlist and yes maam, yeh mere kaan mein roz teen chaar baar bajta hai
I think Aneek did very well in this “ghazal” round. But this is a very easy song to sing and not the best for a “ghazal” round. I thought it was a smart move though..

Also Aneek did not add anything khaas to the song, nor did he catpure the feeling (pls listen to the original).
Having said that, I do agree that Aneek is extremely talented.
Some general comments for @all ….
Years ago, when Sonu was a no-name and when I heard Sonu’s “Achcha sila diya” for the first time, he stood out like a can of chilled coke on a hot dry sunny mid-day sun. I was so in awe of his voice, but was surprised that he was doing only Rafi cover versions. I bought the cover versions just to hear this guy’s voice.
Point is that Sonu was struggling for years until the movie “Bewafa Sanam” happened. Even after that, he was STILL struggling until TVS saregama, and “Border” happened.
Lesson learnt – Talent alone doesnt provide roti….. you have to stand out amongst the millions of bollywood playback wannabees…
And must have more than just a powerful lucky charm.
I honestly feel the musical competion is between Amanat and Aneek. But Raja might win this just coz he can pull in more votes. Dont we ever learn from history ?
Region based campaigning for votes for a contestant of a particular community is driven only by the ego of the community. Its got nothing to do with sur or sangeet.
If one thinks Aneek sings best, then one should definitely vote for Aneek. If one thinks Aneek is from one’s community. and hence one should vote for Aneek, then one is being disrespectful to tha kala of sangeet. Ditto for Amanat or Raja.

I agree with you. I think as it is approaching the finals people are getting emotional and even abussive.But I am glad that I developed good friendships and would like to continue them in future.
As I said before that I agree with Mahagurus’ decision more and better than the popular vote. Because no one understand music better than them and their verdict , to me, is the best judgement ever possible even better than public vote. Because if you see Amanat was second last in receiving public votes but punditji took one second to reach the decision because of his understanding and experience . If you see , he did not get influenced by public votes he gave the crown to the one who he thought was the best.

Hello how are you? It’s strange that now people are fighting and it’s just short of converting into hindu muslim roits. or maybe India Pakistan rivalry..LOL. Guys? what’s going on? I am so surprised either Indian or Pakistani , they welcome all foreign singers like Michael jackson, nick Jagger, Steve Wonders etc., But when it comes to recognizing a talent between two countries, we start fighting? This is sad. Is nationality or religion the issue here? Then why don’t we do the same with western singers? It is very disappointing.

No doubt, Amanat is technically the best singer!. Aneek is good and I would say better than lots like Sumedha, Mauli etc, I still feel that Poonam and Harpreet deserved to be in competion instead of Aneek. But guys just be true and honest to heart, do you think Amanat and Aneek had the potential to sing Chaiya and Dard de Disco the way Raja did. He set fire on Stage! I can’t imagine Amanats and Aneeks voice on these two songs. The maximum number of rememberable performances are given by Raja vis:

Just listing somebody’s performances doesn’t mean the performance was very good. Raja’s awarapan from jism was a very bad performance
raja was loosing his breath bcoz..he was performing as well…..that tooo a powerful performance…anyone can face this situation…..but one cant decide by this..tht he is good or not….only thing i am expecting is..raja and amanat to be the winner….either both be winner or runner up….aneek cant be counted in this list……as i already mentioned…tht the era is of hip hop rock music…which better suits raja’s voice…then we can think of amanat……so guysand girls..who r fans of raja and amanat..plz vote them…so tht they shloud be the only winner of the show….and about aneek…..kick him out……if this happens….then it will be SUPERB..MIND BLOWING…FANTASTIC…OUT OF THE WORLD…jhatka for himesh…

I agree with Arunima, seriously Raja’s songs re highly commendable,when Raja sang the list of songs and ofcourse Ruth AA gayi re..was really very very good when Raja Sang and even Tere Bina from Guru. feel like listening again and again..
Ofcourse Amanat and Aneek are good singers but you know they dont touch heart so often as Raja, I m not taking any sides..it is true..Raja is wonderful ,
Amanat and Aneek is just good singers,they can sing a song in tune but the feeling doesnt come so often..as that of Raja, thats wht make raja;s songs so different from these two..
Even though other amanat and aneek sang many songs in tune perfectly techincal, yet, they re not memorble like that of raja;s , I have never in my life believed in any voting when I was in India, nor had any fan following for any singer or actor..
I am surprised that I am becoming a fan of Raja..specially after listening to Meri Zindagi ek pyaas and Ruth aa gayi re..the lyrics and the voice or Raja..such an amazing experience..
Next is Poonam..she hs so much emotion in her songs..
No matter how technically perfect in Sur etc..unless there is no depth and feeling the songs simply will be forgotten..I feel like listening Raja again and agin with these kind of songs..hope he gets all good wishes and has a good future..

friends I totally agree that all the three finalists are good,but you know what!Raja can only sing the songs which suit his qualiTo all the music lovers/who really ty of voice,like THE SHAKIRA/Mauli could only sing the songs in which she would utilize her nose or eyes to put effort in singing.So actually Raja does sing good,but in fact he is not a good singer.He is a performer,who can make the crowd happy.I do agree that when he is singing and that also has to be the RIGHT song for him,he makes people yell for him.but u have heard him singing or struggling to sing whenever he is singing a song that is not actually MEANT for him.so my dear friends this SAREGAMAPA is a compettion of singers,not the performers.Raja is JUST a performer.If he wins the contest(God forbid!)Mauli could also win.(com’n I will quit watching SAREGAMAPA then).

Regarding last 29th Sep episode, it was a fabulous show. No doubt all singers performed very well. Onik unfortunately was good but could not beat the upbeat Raja and Amanat. With great respect to all beautiful singers, I felt Amanat sung with great perfection, voice modulation was excellent and undoubtedly he impressed me a lot, a lot. However, hats off to Indian audience and may God bless Indian audience which has been overwhelmingly supporting Amanat being a Pakistani gentleman. Being a Pakistani, I pray may God keep India a great,beautiful and a prosperoous nation.

I agree that all three singers are very talented. HR is getting very annoying with his love story angle, and will brings in Aneek’s name in every comment he makes. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I don’t feel he is being ‘real’, more into manipulating audience. Could be his success is getting to his head. Anyways, Looking forward to the next episode of this otherwise excellent talent show.

FARZAANA………..what makes you think that Indian people here are not accepting the fact that Amanat is a good/better/best singer. The same way you mentioned that Raja has his style and so does Mauli…I just want to add that Amanat has his own style[since the beginning I was saying that either Amanat or Raja should win.
Faraana jee you need to wake up and see the fact that Amant is loved by many Indians [I don't think that Indian people ever show partiality ,just becuz he aint from India] Junoon-Adnan r best examples and now Amanat and Musarrat[hopefully Junaid]

This is a music/singing contest and boundaries should be ignored as it has been ignored till today by all of us. I am fully supporting Amanat for the top position. He is the one who can remain in that position for long time. He is very versatile and consistent singer. I am watching him for so long, even though he is not getting as much support from judges as other contestants, but he is still winning on peoples vote, Indians are amazing and I am proud to be one of them.
I wish all the best there is for him.
Well … i must say all the three contestants are very very good…however, I surely feel that Raja is being given an undue advantage by offering songs with more vibe. His last performance was very good but comprised of Sukhwinder songs only, which doesnt’ really helps in making him the No.1.
Again would stress all three Amanat, Aneek and Raja have excellent voices but my feeling is tht Raja is being favored. I would like to wish Good luck to Amanat and Aneek, because Raja already has things rolling in his way.

People choise right who gave vote to Aneek. Aneek deserve it. He is only singer who has perfect versality. Raja & Amanat are also very good singer. But Aneek is ready for playback right now (As Shekhar told). It is undoubted that Aneek is right winner. Always remember once you can win by luck but nor twice.
