Guys, I strongly feel that Aneek is too ordinary a singer. Of course, he sings well but nothing extraordinary like Mussarat. He is a copy and paste singer, he doesn’t have his own individuality in singing. He can make albums like Tribute to Madan Mohan or Sonu Nigam’s collection by Aneek. He is good only for such albums and we have Sonu Nigam in the industry, why do we need a mini Sonu. I don’t think he can sing a complete new composition; he is going to be a big flop there. I never see him give his own variations to any of the songs he sings. He ditto sings the song as it is, a complete copy and paste singer. You will find millions of such singers in India alone, why do we elect him. There is nothing special about him; we should choose some one who can add a new voice and different individuality to our industry.

my comments are from a person who doesn’t jump onto a band wagon as most of the mentors are doing. Those who “know” their music will know where i am coming from :).
What the mentors DON’T understand is…the more they give everyone 10/10, the less people will try as mentally it tells them “beta you have done well”..when in fact “beta aap ne beysura gaya hai” :).
more importantly, the industry will suffer as the singers wont be the “finished” singers like nihira joshi was in challenge 2005.

I know there are fans of Mauli (somewhere ? lol) and fair play to them. But please those fans do not come on saying she is the best etc when clearly she isn’t. if you think she is then i would hate to see your music collection!!…
she is the WEAKEST contestant who loves herself.
i have no vendetta against Mauli but i feel the fact she is staying in longer has got to her head!! as she’s trying to act all famous (i.e. whenever she tries to speak to a guest its like “please say I’m good…please please”)
with the flirtatious manner which anyone can see!

Initially Himesh pulled Mussarat up by saying that he is unique and we don’t have any sufi singer like him in our industry. Himesh also said that Mussarat would become successful because he doesn’t copy Sonu, Shaan, Kunal etc the main playback singers who are already established and if anyone tries to imitate these singers will just become a cover artist and nothing more as producers will not bother to look for new Sonu, new Shaan and new Kunal etc. According to Himesh, Mussarat will get roti because he is unique in today’s industry as Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is no more and Mussarat sings excellent in that genre.
But these days, Himesh has turned 180 degrees. He is now trying to snatch roti from Mussarat and give to Aneek, since Aneek has joined his gharana who sings just like Sonu Nigam. I mean, Himesh is contradicting himself in the show. Where those fights are now from Himesh, don’t copy the established singers, you will have no future etc. He now wants to support only Aneek even if Mussarat gives a master performance. Why???? I don’t think Aneek is that extraordinary a singer that Himesh is blown away by him. Himesh also knows that the real talent is Mussarat and if he sings NFAK songs, no one can compete with him including his Aneek. Why is he playing a double stranded game? Does Himesh now feels that he can sell Aneek well and make him win the show? Is he that crazy about winning that he now doesn’t care what promises he had made to Mussarat earlier. Is Himesh a person of attitude win at all cost, then he doesn’t deserve to be a guru who would cheat his students.

Its only VS and ID who are giving the credit that is due to Mussarat.

to mauli lovers again…if u like her…vote for her..its ur vote…but seriously, wont u guys feel shameful if next week a deserving singer like mussarat, raja or amanat walks because of YOUR vote for mauli. I know she can sing a song or too in a somewhat ususual style. other than that i think Mussart is the best person not just a singer as a person i am saying. i know every one is saying he is good singer but also part of the contest is also as a person how you are.. what do you feel about contestants. i mean he could ev been all dissappointed and depressed by seeing the results of audience.. i mean come on how many times he got Yellow signal and sung so beautifully and made it to the next stage.. this is called Zinda dil..
Annek is a good singer no doubt. not as good as mussart or amanat. as some one rightly said that he did not soo far the hardest of the songs like mussarat did..
Most important Aneek i can tell from his gestures, that he is only there to win… not to have fun.. to enjoy.. we all know some one has to get eliminated every week so that attitude people should have is like mussart’s.. every one witnessed the one day when Aneek got yellow light.. he was all rubbing his eyes and saying he cannot believe it. Well guess what Aneek the other contestants are also there to sing and they are good so dont be surprised if u get kicked out..
amanat is excellent. Raja was good.. his performance is going down.. Poonam rocks.. But too much of sympathy is noo good Poonam.. People should not be voting you based on your sympathy, they should vote you for who you are.. as a singer..

Secondly,first i also thought Mauli sang well so i tried to sing the same song-namak ishka ka & Lo,it is not difficult,i could sing it without any problem & i am not a bathroom singer .So all of us can sing it.If don’t belive ,pls try it.Only thing that favors her is the choice of songs,which r popular!
Now,i know that we can’t change any votes for anyone,as they come from some remote place! so i have just decided to love the music.

You guys call yourself music lovers but have really nothing to say other than regurgitating hatred towards Mauli. I remember Sunidhi had similar experiences when she first started. i’m no mauli fan but also not a hater. though it is sad to see great singers get eliminated on her behalf (one of the main reasons people dislike her).
it seems that the one major thing bothering people the most about mauli is the fact that she fluctates tremendously in her singing.
one day she would sing really good and then the next she would sing like crap. i gotta say on her standards, lately, she has been improving but it really makes me wonder whether this time it’s for real. what i mean is that in her previous performances she did show improvement. But then all of a sudden there was a big drop in her singing n she went bad again. Lately, now she’s back again to that improvement..just makes me wonder whether this time it’s for real or not. her story is a lot like the boy who cried wolf. (but note she did mess up in the intro song with the girls sooo….). basically, none of the other contestants mess up in singing like she does. thus, the reasoning behind whether she’s a good singer or not. i wish her all the best though, and hope she improves and stays that way.

If Houstonian likes Mauli, WHAT HARM DOES IT DO TO YOU?? Vijay, anonymous, Houstonian is perfectly within his own rights to like Mauli. If he posts a message on this forum saying that he likes Mauli, what is your problem? Learn to respect other people’s opinions, rather than make fun of them. I have a feeling that if mussarat survive to be among top three then no one can stop him for getting the top position. For me he is becoming Dark horse!!!
Of course, a lot of what we see on these types of shows is staged. Pre-planned, they are play with audience emotions to the hilt. Just need to recognize it, and just enjoy the show for what it is - entertainment.

ANEEK has yet to sing a difficult song. He always picks an easy song and skips the antra on the ones that are hard. How do you call that a good singer??? Just because judges are ignoring it does not mean you ignore it too. Aneek should be eliminated. To me that’s cheating and judges supporting it.
The episode did not live upto the hype and was let down in terms of singing. There were few good performances but over all an average singing performance.The stage was hilariously designed[Goats!!!! :O]. Daler’s performace was energetic. But then we had to bear Himesh’s participant marketing gimmicks yet another time - Love story for aneek; and standing up and murmuring the song for Mussharat - stolid look of Lalooji and videos of participants visits(again!). It saddens me that SRGMP, VOI and II3 are not singing competitions (as they are adjudged)but reality shows having singers in them.Sigh!

I can see her having a play back career singing item songs ( she is quiet good at them). But please dont be delusional enough to think that she will be respected as a singer like a shreya ghoshal or even a sunidhi

Bhappida was kidnapped from saredramapa stage by a gang for ranson.Bappa(bhappi’s son) refuses to pay as bhappi was out of business for last 5 yrs.But bhappi creats havoc at the secret hideout of kidnappers for food,so they kept on feeding him & Bhappi kept on eating & finally goes to sleep.After 10hrs,the gang tried to wake him up but he won’t wake up,so they ran to their boss & said,”boss,yeh,kha kha ke Mar to nahi gaya ?Uth nahi raha,Ab Kya kare!”

I too am not a Mauli lover nor hater but agree that a lot of good songers are being sacrificed at her expense. But you know, that’s the fact of life…looks can take you places. Now, if the singers were asked to sing behind the curtains without showing their faces, I wonder how many would vote for Mauli and how far would she go?
I would like to say, however, everyone has their opinion, to either like or dislike Mauli so don’t use abusive languages and just enjoy the show. Its Sa Re DRAMA, afterall.

All the singers are really good. Everyone has their own style. I think it will be unfair to compare them. Every time i hear the performances, i feel like i am listening to a concert.
Raja has the folk flavor in his voice. Amanat is excellent and has a lot of grip on classical sur. Mussarat is very good too with a rare voice. Mauli has the modern ting in her voice. Aneek is really sweet and has a romantic voice. Sumedha too has a sweet, romantic voice. Poonam is truly “pocket size powerhouse”.
I watch all the episodes realigiously and I like listening to Mussarat and Raja.
Let there be no competition and all these singers just sing songs and entertain all music lovers!

After seeing the all the performances lately Mussarat deserves to win this competition. My reasoning as follows: A winner should be the one who can blow your mind and to top that no1 can sing like him. No1 can sing what Mussarat can sing. India truly needs a singer like Mussarat. There are plenty of singers like Aneek and even if Aneek wins there will be no work for him just like there is no work for last year winner. I honestly feel sorry for him. Because HR is hyping him as he is the best and truly he is not. This hurts him in the long run. So what if he wins?? If no work there is no point.
Mussrat- will be successful after this show.
Mauli- will be successful after the show in sing certain songs. In studio they can do and over and over until she gets it right.
Sumedha will be successful after this show.
Junaid will be successful in pop singing.
Amanat might get songs or two.
Raja will be successful
Aneek no chance in future-plenty like him.

I am not a relative of Aneek. I just like his singing as I like Raja and Amanat too.
Mussarat was really the best even he sang better then Amanat last week.
But that does not mean that Aneek should be called as Monkey faced….Lataji is best singer, But she does not look like Ashwariya Rai….Aneek is very much younger. It is true that HR is supporting Aneek…but remember Aneek does not need any such support. He actually sings well.
Even Mauli sang so well…I usually never talk about Mauli as I think she is much much below then other. But this time she really sang well.
DO sawbd aachi baaten Mauli ke liye bhi bola karo to kuch bura nahi hoga.
After all we all know kisko kaam milega.

I think Amanat must win the whole thing since he has sung EACH AND EVERY song with mastery and perfection from the first show…no one else has done this. He has also has never left the show like Raja who is an incredibly inspiring singer, but Raja’s and Mussarat’s singing is less versatile than Amanat.
Mauli is realy great to listen to and has improved, but is not as good as Poonam.
