Hey Friends
Yesterday we saw the elimination of Mauli and along with it Bappida said he is quitting the show as Mauli is no more in the contest.. So, lets see whats in the sets today and what all drama take place with Bappida
The same scene where Bappida says that he is quitting is shown again.. he says you are a born star.. I will not come here next time.. I dont understand why Mauli is eliminated.. If Mauli is not there, the TRP will reduce.. I quit.. Bappida leave the stage.. Mauli says sumi needs you.. Bappida says – “That is always there, but I quit..”
Aditya announces that Bappida has come back after everyone persuaded and requested him.. He says that Mauli had gone to his house and requested him to return back.. So, Bappida is back.. He enters along with Mauli..
Bappida gives a speech for this.. He says – I didnt understand the SMS, I dont know why Mauli was voted out and was upset with it and so I quit the show.. But Mauli came to my house and pleaded to stay back.. So, I am back.. Mauli too wants to say something to you all..
Mauli – Bappida did not like my elimination, but as Sumi, Sumedha is there and shes is like my sister, I want bappida to be here.. She will sing well and I have full confidence on her and so to support her Bappida is here..
Bappida – My younger brothers (Other Mentors) are here and want to say that I love you all, I did not like the elimination and that is the reason I did not want to stay back..
Himesh – we will not allow you to go even if you want to..
Bappida thanks Himesh for that.. Please I request viewers to see and vote, not only in this gharana, but in any gharana.. Bappida says – I have given her the name “Indian Shakira” and I will do whatever possible by me.. Aditya announces that Mauli has got a singing contract from Pritham.. Bappida says, I have recorded a song for everyone.. May everyone invite you for recording..
SRGMP has released an album with all the contestants.. That video is shown.. They sing a song where they say – Pparticipants from various states have come to become one gharana.. There are totally 9 contestants, the top 9..
Aditya announces that From 5 countries many contestants came and now only 6 contestants are there.. He asks the mentors to give their view on the videos..
Bappida – very nice video.. All the gharana contestants sang well..
VS – Especially when Raja was standing with the Indian flag and everyone where standing at the back of him.. that part was nice.. the true spirit was shown..
Shekhar – the voice quality of everyone while recording was too good..
Himesh – the emotions of all the contestants was shown.. We
want to thank audience and the TRP is highest.. we are not boasting.. but want to thank the audience..

They show a AV.. He is practicing the song tanhaiyaan with his harmonium.. Someone is shouting – “aur upar se gao”.. so, he climbs the wall and sits and there and practice.. Again that voice comes out.. He again climbs on roof and then goes to the terrace and goes on climbing as the voice comes out and at one point he asks, “how much to climb more? I better commit suicide”.. then dramendra voice comes out saying you need to sing the song of my son, so dont commit suicide.. But actually its the voice of Raja, who is shouting having a bottle in hand..
He sings Koi jaane, koi na jaane from aur pyaar ho gaya..
Aditya speaks in Dharmendra style and says – “i want to see roti in your house” on behalf of all the viewers..
ID – Asks him what did you eat? He says frankly I did not eat anything.. 10

I have come to spread peace and we all are here to eat together and not fight.. and says, he will leave now itself.. Aneek says – “Stop the pardesi”.. Raja is going behind Mussara shouting – “pardesi jaana hain”.. It was all done to create drama and fun..

Himesh – I feel this style does not suite you.. You are a good singer, but I request public to vote for him.. Your sur went and you were not in form for this song.. Do you agree for this?? Raja says, I dont know.. I was only concentrating on the performance.. Himesh says- “Dont deny that.. ID – You should not deviate from the style.. When a person deviates from one style they dont perform well.. gives 7.. You may get out because of some mistakes.. Try not to repeat it..
Vishal – Today’s performance was not the best.. You did not sing it with feeling.. The magic that you brought when you were out and then came in was missing.. Give the best by thinking that you are a perfect entertainer and move away from the stage, return backn focus on the song and give your best..

Her faovrite actress is Aishwarya Rai.. Aishwarya Rai is so beautiful and I adore her eyes.. There is only one Moon and many stars.. A small AV is shown where she is having a Diya and says like Aishwarya Rai who had kept this Diya lighting for SRK, I will also keep it lightened until the end of this contest.. Sumedha enters and says – “Good that she will be pouring oil for the dia and I will keep practicing.. Poonam says – “Pepople dont call me power house just like that.. I have arranged for this diya also.. it lights with help of power and not oil..”
She sings Ni main samajh gayi from Taal.. Amanat gives the male voice..

Amanat is having guitar, wearing cap and has tied a sweater around his waist.. Aditya asks him to describe about this get up and says – Amanat’s and aneek’s choices are same.. They both like SRK and also like that girl..
A small AV is shown where Aneek is lying on the bed and saying that he is going to die and Amanat says – “I want a promise from you that you will die before this contest ends and so I win and also gets that girl for me..” Aneek gets up and starts fighting with Amanat saying he was just acting and wanted to make you emotional so that you go away from my way.. But you cheated me and my friendship.. they both fight in mean while, Poonam and Sumedha peep from the door and give a naughty smile..
Himesh and Ismail takes the love story again.. Ismail asks how come you and Aneek have the similar choices.. You both like same actor, same girl.. How is it possible? Himesh says these kids who have come this time are very naughty and they take us mentors into the pocket and move away.. Amanat is trying to say something, but Himesh says – “just sing and dont talk”.. Dont lie in front of the public.. He says something like public “Joote marenge”.. Amanat says I want to tell only the truth, but he is not allowed to by Himesh and asks him to sing..
Amanat says Just like Aneek likes SRK, I too like him and am Happy that I will be singing his song today..
He sings koi mil gaya from Kuch kuch hota hain

The audience shout once more.. Aditya asks them to play hte track.. Amanat sings again.. Raja plays the guitar.. Aditya, sumedha and Poonam join him.. ID, Himesh come on stage.. Later joins Shekhar and Bappida.. Then Shekhar also goes missing
while Amanat was performing, Himesh asks Aditya to move between Amanat and the girls and ask Amanat to go near to Sumedha.. Sumedha runs and stands beside Poonam..
After his performance Himesh again starts this drama.. He says Aneek is missing here because of you.. You have stolen the show today and even Bappida is in favor of you today.. Ismail says, lets make the relationship today.. Himesh says, “you both come and sit here”, lets do it.. By then Aneek also enters and Himesh says “You dont know what all happened in your absence.. Your brother stole the show, he has also taken the girl from you.. You are born to sacrifice”.. Even the father in law has taken his side today and left you behind.. Asks the audience to give him support because he is so cute and it will be injustice to take the support away from him.. Bappida – Amanat sang very well today.. Its because of guru and love.. Bappida sings chahiye thoda pyaar..

Did anyone notice the frustration in Bhappi Da’s behaviour in last night’s episode, when he was asked to comment on the performance of the contestants and give them marks. He had to make so much of efforts in giving his comments and when it came to giving marks, he would say “chalo aapko itne marks de diye” , as if daan kar diye. I think he is not out of the Mauli shock yet and though has come back in the show again, but has decided to become a miser as far as the marks are concerned. I hope he grows up and behave in a more mature way.

yeahhhhhhhhhhhh… i m so happy watching sa re ga ma pa, cause mauli is not their.. i would definately want amanath to win the whole contest. because he has proved himself by singing any kind of songs. .. his voice perfectly matches any actor for that matter.. say its classic, semi classic, romantic, sad, comedy.. he was best in everything.. unlike others he doesn have to fit in only one category of singing.
I truely respect poonam.. she has a very powerful voice.. as well as mussarath..
BUT guys i truly believe amanath is the only versatile singer among all..
OMG i almost had a heart attack watching the re emergence of mauli mata towering over cross dressing she-male bappida at the the begining of the program..

yesterdays show – def poonam and mussarat were the best..if you take into account the caliber /level of difficulty of songs they sang
amanat was good but the song he chose was pretty easy to sing
same with aneek- topiwala bandar gave him ANOTHER highly popular song to sing.. too bad the kid flubbed a little..
raja – wassup here.. i mean sure he messed up a little in the middle but it wasnt horrible i didnt think

I have to differ with you about Raja. He’s not the best singer, but he does have his own style and that’s what i think is going to get him far in the music industry.
But i do agree that he’s been over-hyped from the start. his songs were not the best, but they were definately better than the ones Aneek was attempting.

I agree that Raja is more suited to Sukhwinder songs, but then again so was Harpreet and look at what happened to him.
Personally, i think Raja should stick to softer songs because his voice is pretty strong and the more he tries to stretch his voice, the more it cracks.

I think, the only way to get rid of the Guru and Chela, who everyone has become sick of, is to vote out Aneek, by voting, of course for Musarrat and for other contestants. Vote out Aneek and you will all be the witness to another drama from a frustrated Guru, which will be more interesting than the drama staged by Bhappi Da, after Mauli’s eviction.
What is all this drama? People, pls stop voting for this programme entirely – they are mocking the participation of the public. Its a big waste of time. Music has taken the last seat. It should be called Drama Challenge 2007.
Raja wasn’t bad at all. What was all the fuss about by HR? He was just trying to protect Aneek which was totally unfair. Annek got 8-8-10. Raja got 7-7-8. Not too far off. So, what’s the big deal? My votes for Raja, anyday, everyday.

I am amazed that you consider soft melodious romantic songs very easy to sing.
Or, I shouldn’t be as those who aren’t into singing themselves can’t realize that these songs demand expressions that come only from the deepest of heart and soul and not at all easy.
The modern classical exponents themselves now don’t dismiss non-classical melody-based songs as inferior and easy(coming out of their age-old arrogance).

Light halke phulke songs can be pleasant to hear and yes you need emotions to sing them well .But please dont expect me to believe that they are as difficult to sing as the others i have mentioned.
I highly doubt any such contemprory songs will be rememebered 20 years down the road, unlike the “real” classic i mentioned which survive ( and will continue to survive) forever
Bash BLahiri and not HR..i mean i respect all your opinions bout HR but in my opinion, it’s wrong to think that he wants Mussarat to be out..he has always wanted mussarat to remain in the competition and for this matter..the whole “roti” commotion began once..for the sake of mussarat. HR may say that he fears mussarat will be out..but he only does it becuz the results are sometimes shocking..good singers get the least votes..so its really something beyond predicting..HR KNOWS mussarat is a great singer, he always praises him, goes onto the stage for him, says he is PROUD to have him as a shishya in his gharana..and once when mussarat forgot the words to the song.. “tere bin sanu soniya” HR made mussarat sing it again acapella..and requested the janata to vote for him. yes i admit.. its WRONG to degrade mussarat like that..and HR is totally into aneek..he is an idiot for favoring.. but then again.. isn’t he an idiot to make mauli sing mayya mayya in front of that gay anand guy and confirm her success while killing the chances of his own gharana’s contestant?? In my opinion..himesh does not want mussarat to be out.. he just has bad approaches to emphasize mussarat is indeed great and must stay in the show. And to comment on whats been said above.. classical singing is indeed harder than just soft romantic singing.. but i guess the simplicity and ease that is needed to sing soft halke songs derive from knowledge and training of classical.

I have seen or rather listened to many pundits & ustads (I admire and respect them no less than you do) having a go at these so called ‘halke phulke’ songs and making a mess of them.
Though these ‘halke phulke’ songs need less vocal skills they do require something that comes straight from the heart.
I have heard many contestants in various talent shows who do a good job in ‘ustadi’ songs but flop pathetically in light songs.
Only very few legendary geniuses like Lata, Asha, Rafi, Manna De are masters of both forms.
I am not a dabbler in music, in terms of appreciation I am deeply into raaga music but not enough snobbish to discard great heart-touching music of SD Burman, Madan Mohan, Shankar-Jaikishan, RD Burman, Ravindra Jain, Hridaynath Mangeshkar and in recent times Nadeem-Shravan, Jatin-Lalit, AR Rahman, Shankar-Ahsan-Loy (and many others) those are not raaga-based or sufi as inferior or easy.
Think of Jatin-Lalit songs, soothing RD Burman songs of ’1942..’, ‘Ghar’ etc.; they are easy to listen to but take special skills and musical gift to render them.
Coming back to SRGMP, I bet Poonam can’t sing 50% of Sumedha if she tries songs like ‘Jaadu hai nasha hai’ or ‘Tere bina jiya jaaye na’.
So, it’s pretty simplistic to categorize musical genres in terms of difficulties.
‘Man tadpat’ takes me to another world but doesn’t ‘Kuch na kaho’ move you?
I have only discussed the points at which we are in conflict, otherwise I agree with you in many ways.

i love mussarat but we know,he can sing only Nusarat & he is master in that.Jelous bhappi gave him 7 so stupidmso childish,as if he was trying to take the revenge of Maulimata’s departure!

although my yardstick for singers in a competition is how well they do in terms of classical basis, i am by no means a classical music snob.. i own practically every songs ever sung by the greats( kishore/rafi/lata/asha).and almost all of the albums of shankar jaikishen, laxmi pyare, op nayyar, madan mohan, naushad… i am NOT discounting the amazing power of those songs
I also happen to love a lot of recent songs( nadeem shravan, jatin lalit, ismail darbar , vishal bharadwaj) heck i even like some songs of pliagriser # 1( pritam) and i USED to like HR( before he decided to torture us with his voice) albums like tere naam and dil be jise apna kaha are good albums no doubt
So while I do def appreciate the lighter music, in someone who is competing in a contest , i wld like them to have a solid grounding in the classical basis..
its akin to someone composing a poem in english without knowing the grammer
also, i dont think the nice contemprory soft songs from the last decade will stand the test of time..
say in 50 years, will we be calling “jaadu hai nasha hai ” a classic or even then we will go back to the era of the giants of the 50′s and 60′s

then he is always speculating that mussarat is going to be eliminated, its almost like a self fulfilling prophecy for him
so NO my friend, altho HR started off supporting Mussarat, isnt the case anymore..

I have not raised points I think I’ll be in agreement with you.
And, one of those is Poonam is much ahead of Sumedha when a song demands a powerful voice.
So, I am not saying that Sumedha is better than Poonam.
Also, not saying Poonam is better than Sumedha.
They aren’t comparable, as Aneek and Mussarat.
And, mistakenly my list in the previous post to you left out one of my favourite composers OP Nayyar.

@Sumitro, I completely agree with you on this one. As I was also mentioning in the 7th sep review that Classical base is not a requirement for a good singer and this has been proven by many singers in the past and today’s days. Then why are we so keen on judging them saying they are good because they have a classical background or they are not good enough because they don’t have one?
As you rightly said classical songs have it’s own genre in bollywood but so does gazals, soft romantic songs, bhajans, comedy songs, club songs and other different kind. Who are we to comment on which is easy to sing and which is not? Is any one of us actually singing on the platform?
And as far as music is good, it doesn’t matter what genre it belongs to as it touches you. For me Kuch na kaho from 1942 is as touching as madhuban me or laga chunari me daag. It’s just that they appeal to different moods of mine at different times but that doesn’t mean one is easier and the other one is very difficult.
Expressions in soft romantic songs or even club songs or bhajans or gazals are not easy to portray. Check out some of the oldies here guys, see the song “Kuch dil ne kaha kuch bhi nahi” sung by Lata, it makes you feel as if how in the world did she whisper the whole song? Anyone who says its easy, well let’s say that we beg to differ.
So please all those who are in favour of classical, know that it’s a great genre.
And all those who also like other kinds of songs, know that they are by no way are less compared with the classical songs in any way.
If this wasn’t true then we would have only seen Classical singers in bollywood singing all the other kinds of songs too but that’s so not the case.
And I also agree with you there, Sumitro, I have also seen some of my friends who have been trained in classical from childhood, when they sing a filmy romantic song, it certainly doesn’t feel nice and it’s only because their voice is modulated according and only few Gems like you mentioned master both beautifully.
BTW @ Everyone, who do you think will get eliminated next week?

@ Platinum, my sentiments exactly on Bhappi. I mean what’s this nonsense about shakira and barbie doll. For God’s sake this is a singing programme (that too saregamapa) and not a drama or TV-serial or even Indian Idol show. He must have come here on the show by mistake and stayed.
Even I thought for a minute that lucky for us, he is finally quitting and taking his shakira too (ek sath dono jayenge, finally….Deep sigh….) But alas, we still have few more weeks of Bhappi left. And what’s with HR? He said,”bhalehi hamare vote kum ho jaye but inke contestant ko vote dijiye, bhappi da nahi jane chahiye, we won’t let him go” HELLOOOOOOOO…..Are you mad that you are actually saying it’s ok if you vote less for my contestant but please vote for Bhappi’s?
You know what, I feel this is not SAREGAMAPA anymore….This is KAKEKAMAKA (Ekta’s new So called Family saga). I am sure all of us are mistaking it for the singing show that it’s supposed to be.

Based solely on Sept 7/8 performance, I think Raja is the weakest link. But he cant go coz he has a stubborn fan following. Sumedha might go but that’ll leave Josh be-hosh. And god knows what drama Bappida will create next.
Aneek and Amanat have this love story to complete… with her so they have to stay for the TRP CR*P.
That leaves Poonam or Musarrat.
I hope I am wrong, but I have a sick feeling Musarrat’s time is up.

I agree with you that at high notes, Raja’s voice is not that much in sur as Mussarat’s but Raja’s singing has some kind of energy and he must make use of it with little “joshile” songs. Softer songs may not be his style either.

I was so disappointed with VS comments to Mussarat in the last episode. They give him 8 and gave 10 to Sumedha. It was so clear that all these gurus were trying hard to make BP happy. Where is their concious? Mussarat was the best so let us make him # 1 this week.

I saw Raja’s performance, agreed it was not his best but it was not 7 either. The way HR was pulling him down was shameful. Can any one imagine Zakir Hussain or Gulam Ali as Gurus will humilate some one like that on the show. Really bad on HR’s part.
It appears that HR’s grand design is to pull down Mussarat and Raja to make way for Aneek. Some one on this forum suggested that HR may have a score to settle with Sonu Nigam and there is a point. But why sacrifice Mussarat’s carrier for that.
So I request @Abbas, @Sweety, @Sheebi fazel @Ankita and all other Mussarat’s fans to vote for Mussarat and make him # 1 this week.

There are already backlogs of previous winners from various shows who have all those features but no work. Mussarat sings NFAK, sufi and qawwali songs well, and all his songs touch out heart. I am sure many ppl would be ready to pay for Mussarat’s shows or albums if he sings sufi songs. We love what he sings and we dont want him to sings kishore or sonu songs. There are enough singers in the market already(& noone gives a damn abt them)
Mussarat has just given us(all NFAK fans) that he can carry the legacy of great Ustad NFAK. And that makes us happy. Sure Mussarat may not be even 5% of what NFAK was. But in 10-15 yrs he will become a legendary singer just like NFAK.
I would like to request Mussarat on behalf of millions of NFAK songs to sing only his genre and not get carried away by this versatility crap. Otherwise he will become only a cover singer(not a great singer like NFAK). Phir roti to kya paani bhi nahin milega.

You are very correct. While watching Musarrat’s videos again on You Tube, I too have noticed that, during Musarrat’s performance, it is always ID or VS who raise their hands to say “Wah-Wah” on certain lines sung so very efficiently and HR is always secondary in praising Musarrat. It seems as if he is just doing his duty and not praising Musarrat from his heart. When he asked Musarrat to sing a few lines from Saanwre to show Asrani ji and Ashish Ji, his real style of singing, HR was saying wah wah on each and every word and it almist looked like a fake appreciation.

I am not at all against Aneek, let aside hatred towards him. As I mentioned earlier also, we are very much disappointed with Himesh ji’s biased attitude towards Aneek and his remarks on Aneek’s love story in every episode. After all, personal relationships should not be discussed publicly. And HR knows very well that this show is being telecasted in so many other countries apart from India, and by discussing contestants’ love stories on the show will only harm its TRP. And why everyone forgets about the girl being discussed in this love story. Just think about her embarassment on the show.
@senty and vijay, I also think this week Raja might get eliminated due to his performance which wasn’t bad but not as good as others.
Well all the best to all the singers left in the show now. It so doesn’t matter who wins because these are the last few and they are all good.
From a competition point of view though, as they are all good singers I think people will have no choice but to judge everyone on that days performance. So may be it is Raja. Let’s see what happens in next week’s spoiler.
I loved Poonam’s performance in this one. I feel that she doesn’t get appreciated as much as others on this show. Anyone who thinks Poonam has chances of winning this show? Poonam and Musarrat were great on the show. I just pray that one out of these two win the show. Poonam has proved again and again that she is THE BEST by consistently singing in perfect sur and control with powerful and sweet melodius voice. Mussarrat reminds the NFK with perfection. These two are the finding of this years Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

I share your feelings on this Himesh-bias issue.
He sets my teeth on edge whenever he starts his cooked up love love-triangle story.
But to make allowances for him, you may have observed he has sobered up a little bit from the last edition of SRGMP (2005), when he fought tooth and nail for Vinit, who was worse than Aneek to me, at the expense of other competent contestants of his own gharana.
This big-mouthed crackpot has mellowed a little for sure, as I find him backing Mussarat as well, from time to time.
Last time he was much more violent and irritating.
But, please don’t implicate Aneek in it.
@senti, I so hope they don’t take out Poonam next week as she is the strong contestant.

Can you think about Mauli coming back though. I heard a rumour that they might ask people to vote on bringing Mauli back, what’s all this crap? come on people, please don’t vote her. This is much bigger issue than anything else at the moment.
Once the contestant is out, they are out whether justice or injustice. This is a competition, if we keep on getting everyone back then this saregamapa will last till the next year’s start.
Hi Guys, alike for Harpreet, now I feel SORRY for Raja. Why? Simply because he is not supported. When Molly or Musarrat had a bad day and sang not so correctly, they were asked to sing again few lines to show public they had a bad day but were great singers.
When it is Raja’s bad day, they gang up to ATTACK. What is this yaar??

He literally scolded Raja by saying that you are not a KG student and you must be knowing about your bad singing today.

Well, Aneek is 18 year old and I think he can say very politely to HR that please stop embrassing me like this on the stage. The very fact he plays along with every remark by HR shows Aneek is willingly participating in this tamasha.

Aneek has become a scapegoat in this drama created by his own Guru. Please pardone me, if you think, I am referring to the “Mahabharata” a number of times in my comments. In Mahabharata, Eklavya was made the scapegoat by his Guru, just to fulfil Arjun’s ambition.
But this time, Eklavya is not going to be the scapegoat. Let Arjun perform this role, for once, because this time, Eklavya is not alone; he has this fan base to support him all along. I hope you know who I am referring to.

Sweety all this analysis and in simple English , are you referring to Aneek chela. i would say its bogus hype. HE is not worth it but an ordinary regular voice.
There is Mussarat, poonam and Amanat. if we really want to have
maha yudh between deserving contestents.
Sumedha has improved a lot since she first came into the show. I disagree that she is “flat”, she sings every song pretty darn well with a superb voice clarity. Just because rarely sings louder songs, doesn’t mean she can’t sing. And Jadoo hai nasha hai is not as easy to sing as many people are making it to seem!!! On Poonam, she is a very powerful singer, but her voice just does not suit most of the leading ladies today. If both were to move on to the playback industry (I’m sure they will) Poonam is more likely in the future to come out with one super-hit a year, while Sumedha is more likely to give out a lot more smaller hits. Both are really good singers, but my vote for this contest goes for Sumedha on the count of versatility (Same for Amanat as opposed to Mussarat and Raja).
Anyway, let’s vote more for the girls! Ladies, we don’t just have to vote for the guys, let’s make sure that there’s at least one girl in the top 3!
And someone needs to slap HR!!! Many times!
