Not even once in the song, did her “sur” or “Alaap” went wrong. And Panditji was all praise for her and even told her that her voice is made for classical music.

  I am very sad that Poonam got eliminated today, but her farewell songs have declared her a true winner of the show.

  It would have been the best episode of SRGMP history. What a pity! Mussarat is not there when has was most needed.
  Any way, today the Mahagurus showed the mirror to the public and all gharana gurus how to appreciate and honour the deserved contestants. I will conclude:

  Thumbs up – Mahagurus judgement
  Down with – Public voting system

  I was surprised at the behaviour of HR today. It almost appeared as though he has read our posts in this forum and is trying to improve himself. Or may be this was due to the presence of two great singers on the stage and the theme of episode being Ghazal, he gave very balanced comments today and did not annoy people with his bakwaas. Not even once did he try to step on the stage.

  Today’s show was totally stolen by the Yalgaar gharana. I think ID must be feeling very proud today.

  anyways, the most versatile voice is gone from the stage. someone said it correctly on the forum, it should have been an all Yalgaar final.

  Raja and Aneek have still a lot to improve in their singing across all generes. So does Amanat. However, Amanat has a dman good voice quality and good control on surs. He is almost effortless in classical. The ghazal he sang is a fabulous example. Others were trying hard. Amanat was just being natural..no wonder Shekhar said that he felt as if he was in a concert.

  Poonam being gone, now my vote is going to be for Amanat. He has the best voice amongst men and bigest potential to make it big! And he deserves it guys. Dont get too sentimental on regional and boundaries. just vote for the guy you think truly gang the best and deserves the crown.

  p.s.: didnt i tell you guys that Aneek sounds like a kid and still has a lot of years to go!? i am so glad jagjit singh was brutly honest and spoke his mind. besides, aneek’s low notes are hard to come by, though technically he is very good.

  raja eats up words guys. somehow aneek and raja’s voice aint that soothing. for raja, especially in gazals – it does not work…qawaalis and sufi (high notes) would suit him, but not gazals.

  vote for amanat guys. he truly deserves it, but will have to work on his accent, but has what it takes to make it big across all generes. adios!

  You are aboslutely right to say that elimination of Poonam was a pre-planned conspiracy. If any other contestant was eliminated not only him but also his mentor would have to quit the show. Then they would have been left with only 2 mentors. I have come across comments from various forum members who are ardent fans of Poonam and said they voted more than 100 times each. But still Zee people showed that she did not get International votes.

  On Star Voice of India, during the wild card entry there was a difference of only 16 votes between the last two contestants, and also mentors decided that they needed to save Priyani too, since they felt they also must be given some rights for being the mentors. Thus Priyani got saved and she is very much in the competition.

  Why did Zee mentors not put their foot down and asked for the rules to be amended a little bit to allow four contestants instead of 3 into the finals, and then let the people decide the winner. Their inaction, and a totally treacherous behaviour of Ismail Darbar and HR, clearly showed that they were hell bent on ousting Poonam. If she had stayed in the fray she would have definitely swayed public opinion in her favor, considering that mega final will be live, and the people attending the show would surely have rooted for Poonam. Conspiracy against her has continued into the making of Manzil album, in which two of her most powerful renditions “Hungama ho gaya” and “Ni main samajh gayi” have not been included.

  It seems that Zee people are ruing their fate for have chosen Poonam as one of the contestant as they might have wanted to promote someone else. Sumedha and Poonam, Raja/Amanat and Musarrat should have fought the final battle. But no Zee had other plans. When they saw Poonam going from stregth to strength, and HR having to fight a losing battle against Vishal-Shekhar they dropped the bombshell, and introduced Aneek midway through the competition.

  When Sumedha was ousted, Vishal offered to sign up Sumedha and asked whether or not she had any dates problem, so that they can record a song with her. Bappi Lahiri asked her to settle in Bombay. However, when Poonam was ousted, none of them offered any solace to her, even when she from her own side requested them to give her a guru (thus challenging their moral stance and showed their true faces to the public), none of them came forward to assure her that they would do so. And it was at this point, Pandit Jasrajji realising the severity of the situation told Poonam that she was born to sing classical music, but it was entirely upto her to decide about it. Just follow the pattern of the sequence of events, and you will understand how things turned out the way it is. May the Almighty bless Poonam with more mental strength and a much more magical voice, and also ingite the ray of realisation within the Powers that be in Bollywood to recognise a true talent, and a potential Singing Super star.

  Hi! To All! ID took some of the contestants to Surat for Garbha only name as of now -SUMEDHA. i dont know anything about others. According to the final should be POONAM,SUMEDHA, MUSHRAFF,AMANAT or Raja.It is according to the singing standard but now politics played good part between ID & HR.Till today we could not believe- POONAM’s elimination.she more versatile singer than anyone else in the final. Maby be HR &ID keep telling each & every episode about her poor background.may be HR &ID born in a ROYAL family. these fellows proved -they not only fit to be a guru but also not human being at all.
