Review of 14th September Episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007
Today is the elimination episode and one among the Super 6 will get eliminated and we will get top 5.. So, lets wait and watch who is the unlucky one..
The show commences with Aditya and the contestants singing Boli surat dil ke khote.. Guys and Aditya start it, later the girs also join.. The song is shown fully in black white.. The mentors are also enjoying the performance.. Bappida even gives a standing ovation.. All the mentors stand up and give them encouragement.. The contestants come down and get blessings from the mentors..
Aditya announces that today is elimination episode and says, viewers have voted this time based on their last week performances and an AV of all the contestants performances on friday and saturday is shown..
This time they have got 52 lakh votes..
No. 1 is Amanat Ali
The globe of fortune is rotated and Amanat is number 1 this week.. He says I feel that full India is with me..
Big FM RJ Kaushik and Gogol come on stage to announce that Yalgaar gharana will sing the song choices made by the listeners and says Amanat and Poonam will be singing Ude jab jab zulfein teri and mere piya gaye rangoon respectively

Aneek had gone to Kolkatta last week and people gave him warm welcome.. He says, whatever he is today is because of his mother and she has got Visharad in Music.. His mother says He gets appreciation every where.. His teacher says, he is her fav student and sh is proud of him.. Her mom says I want Aneek to become number 1.. His Dad says, he composes songs too and whatever he has learnt is from his mother..
Aditya says, the contestants had put a chit for knowing who will be out and Aneek’s name came up and so he asked his parents not to come, but they will be here tomorrow,..
Aneek says the song he is going to sing is a wonderful composition of OP Nayyar sahab and singing that composition in this stage is wonderful and so dedicate this song for him..

Mussarat – I am happy to have reached uptil this level, but what I feel bad is that I have to part from this set, show, mentors and contestants..
While speaking, Himesh interrupts him and says – you lost by giving better performance.. you sang better than Raja.. This is an injustice that because of the fan following.. Raja was given low marks than Mussarat.. So, its obvious that Raja must have been eliminated.. His point here is that vote based on that particular episode’s performance and not based on the previous performances.. Himesh was saying – “Raja must also be feeling guilty because he is there and Mussarat got eliminated”.. Vishal raised the point that Raja was not bad that day and that he need not be feeling guilty for this.. Himesh then continues that – “Raja is a good singer and good human being and in fact even I had asked the audience to vote for him but my point here is that Mussarat got more marks than Raja and he shouldnt have been eliminated”.. Bappida brings the issue of Mauli saying she too got eliminated after getting all 10 from the judges.. So, is that fair? Himesh cuts him short that he doesnot want to bring this issue of Mauli here and that he feels Mussarat will make it to top and that Raja is good singer and must stay..
Vishal supports Mussarat and says, he will definitely make it to top..
Mussarat’s journey is shown and he hugs all the mentors and contestants and thus, his journey comes to an end here..

All this time instead of promoting Aneek’s love story, he should have promoted both Aneek & Mussarat equally.

That was a seriously tear jerking episode right there…..kudos to Mussarat, for taking it so well. No contracts, so what? I seriously believe he is meant for bigger and better things in life, I know I have to get back in touch with my Pakistani friends, just so that they can let me know the moment Mussarat’s cd comes out and I can buy it. The only thing that worries me about this guy is his calm demeanor, he needs more of a drive to push himself forward. But that’s on the professional front. On the personal front, though, it is just this very thing in him that endears him to me. All I could think of while watching this episode whenever they were showing him sitting with the other participants was that I seriously need to go and hug him, and hug him strong…he looked so down. I was hoping we’ll see Poonam doing it for me after the results
, but oh well….
I hope they keep in touch, they look so cute together, and own the best hearts amongst all the contestants…that’s just my opinion…you’re of course allowed to your own. From now on, SRGMP for me would only provide some weekend amusement (thanks to the clowns (read mentors)), but no happiness. That went away with Mussarat.

Now the show ha reached a level where everybody is equally good. It really pains to see one of the contestant to go as he/she is equally good as the ones staying.
Aneek, Amanat, Raja, Punam, Mussarat, sumdha, even Mauli are all very good in their own genres.

Did the really get 52 lakh votes in this episode considering, it was shot on monday. If we look at the past few episodes we can see that the number of votes were consistent every week i.e around 22 lakhs. So how do these votes increase by 30 lakhs in a couple of episodes. I think there is something fishy there. Anyways, Good Luck Mussarat. You are the Man. I really enjoyed your performances and always cheered for you. Now I will cheer for Poonam and Amanat both. I hope Aneek goes home in the next episode, so I do not have to watch Aap Ka Bunder. I know for a fact that HR is going to be there till the final episode.
On the side note:
ID was really stupid by making Amanat appologize to the public for thinking that they do not support him. That would hurt him in the long run IMO.

Okay, I haven’t watched the show but I know my eyes will tear up towards the end. When the spoiler was published on this site, I’d said that now’s as good a time as any because the deserving singers have already had plenty of opportunity to showcase their singing talent and get work from the industry (and I still stand by that). Winning the title alone doesn’t do anything for you, case in point being Debojit from Challenge 2005.
BUT…..no contracts for Mussarat??? What’s up with the industry, dudes? I do know our film/music industry has a culture of letting established people monopolize the market and not let new talent enter. Shreya Ghosal was given a chance by Sanjay Leela Bhansali; she didn’t have a godfather/mother in any singer or music director. Women outside of the Mangeshkar household only got a chance when the Mangeshkar ladies were too old to do all kinds of songs for the new young breed of actresses. My point here is – is he not given any offers because he’s so good and all the rest of them are threatened, like Senty said for Himesh? I refuse to believe he hasn’t been NOTICED. You can’t not notice talent like that when you’ve had plenty of time to spend on noticing Mauli (nothing against her, but we’re talking Mauli vs. Mussarat here, so don’t even try to argue). But most people in the industry seem to patronize new artists only when they feel THEY are going to get mileage out of the act, THEY are going to be able to claim that they are so and so’s guru. BTW, how come Himesh has the nerve to call himself Mussarat’s GURU? What has Himesh taught Mussarat? Mussarat’s guru is whoever he learned music from, not some balding jackass who thinks no end of himself. On one episode he even said he’s proud that Mussarat is his CHELA. EXCUSE ME? How goddamn patronizing/condescending is that? I’ve heard of a guru-SHISHYA relationship (which you ANYWAYS don’t share with Mussarat), but how dare you call him your CHELA? Has M. not gotten any work because Himesh has to approve it first like he told Rediff? That would obviously make the rest of the industry stay away from him….who the hell wants to have anything to do with Himesh…
So if he doesn’t get work here and goes back to Lahore, what’s next for him? I really hope the Pakistani audiences are appreciative enough of his singing that he’s able to make it the same way NFAK, Jagjit Singh, Pankaj Udhas and so many others did — through live performances and stage shows. And part of me believes that he will. But there’s the other part of me that thinks audiences today aren’t what they used to be like…all these aforementioned singers got fame through live performances in the pre-cableTV era. Sheesh. I really hope for the very best for him.
And Vishal’s comments make me wonder WTF is wrong with him. First, Junaid is out because the viewers did the right thing in not voting for him. Next, Harpreet was out because he didn’t get any hype from the judges…SO? Whose fault is that? Whose fault is it that you NEED hype to survive on this show? And whose fault is it that this has been ACKNOWLEDGED by you and YET nobody seems to do anything about it? Now, Mussarat’s told he would have been the winner on any other show. What does that mean? That he’s not good enough for SRGMP? Or that SRGMP is not good enough for him, in which case why don’t you guys show your support by giving him work?

If you look at the previous SaReGaMA winners, I think the losers get more work then the winners. I personally think, all these Guru’s are wanting the good singers get out of the show, so that they don’t sign anything with Zee. But then these guru’s will sign them on to make bigger bucks.
We may criticise HR till we go blue, but remember he is a Gujju-bhai and a shrewd business brain, we would have definately thought of something. We just have to wait.

yeah you have a point there. I mean amongst the current srgmp crop, Musarrat definitley shows signs of dollar signs. Unique voice, in a less competition “joner”. And a music composer to boot. And, cmon, writing lyrics is no big deal.
I say, why wait. Pull a Junaid.
All he needs is a contract from a label.
But I doubt if HR will do anything spectacular for Musarrat. He will want the spectacle to be himself.

10 dollars says that someone from ID’s gharana will get eliminated. The pattern is pretty obvious. One person from a different gharana eliminated every week. So finally 4 contestants from 4 different gharanas.

I don’t know how many of u all would agree with me but HR has proved that he is a big big big loser! firstly he never promoted Mussarat and hence have lost a gem of the show! Now he is behind Raja !!
Why is he doing this?if he is threatened by Raja because of him being more popular than Aneek he should take care to give Aneek the proper guidance instead of provocating audience against Raja!!

Folks, I must say, after watching this episode today, that I really find myself hanging around SRGMP (even this blog here) because of Mussarat. Now that he’s gone and the reality have sinked in (even though Mussarat hasn’t been perfect all the time) I really feel that he was the single source of keeping me attached to this show. Otherwise, SRGMP has nothing left in it now.
I’m not saying this because other singers are not good, I’m saying this because Mussarat’s personality and his singing’s unique quality made him stand out among others.
If the last few threads on this blog is any proof, and if the reaction to his Sanware is any proof, then I say that the TRP of this show is going to tank and it will be because of Mussarat’s ouster.
Again, the other singers are good and I’m sure they will be providing good entertainment going forward, but the SRGMP is not going to be the same anymore without Mussarat.
Shocking to hear Mussarat has no work offer till now. Seems like just like Indian public, music directors have forgotten the art of creating quality music.

All my best wishes to Mussarat for his success in future. He should start giving live performances in Pakistan, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, UK & USA. He already has a good fan-base and ppl would love to hear him live. Since NFAK, Jagjit singh, Mehdi hasan started their path to success by giving live performances, Mussarat can too.
Another reason – I think – this show sucks now-a-days is all these BS antics by Himesh, the director’s camera tactics, Vishal’s stupid comments, themes of the show, and above all, the voting fraud. I mean honestly, recall the earlier episodes and the recent ones, don’t you guys see the big difference? What’s wrong with the show?
This love story promotion by Himesh (it is actually an abuse against Sumedha). The director’s camera antics by focusing on her when Aneek sings. The Bappida drama. The stupid comedy songs (and the next one on wedding theme). All these are the downfall of SRGMP as a show.

I only reason I started watching SRGMP was Mussarat, coz he brought something different, a compeletely different jonar to SRGMP table. His unique style of singing that bring back memories of NFAK music.

Looking at the quick review of the last week’s performances, I still stand by my stand that Raja was bad (mildly put) last week. If I have to say nice things about his 2 songs, they was horrendous.
Sumedha was bad in hawa-hawai but very good in Jaadu. But others were good both days. So it totally beats me who/what made Musarrat the goat.
60s songs… again a MAJJJJOR dissapointment. C’mon 60s..”THE” era for melodious music. The songs were a complete let down. I guess when you says 60s there is heck a lot of melodious numbers to choose from.

“Udi jab jab zulfen teri” from Naya Daur was another consistantly decent performance from Amanat. Certainly not his best. Not even his better. Maybe his good. 3 stars on Amanat scale. Catchy beats, dance along.. Dude you got it !
His “yakeen ho gaya ki pura hindustan mere sath hai” should not be taken as a big deal. I feel this was a stupid point to be raised for TRP ??. Wonder what ID was thinking when he asked Amanat to apologize. One of the men in the audience was shown raising his eyebrows like “what the ..” But I somehow feel ID is sincere towards his chota parivar. He looks out for them. So I maaf him.
Poonam – She was too good in “Mere piya gaye rangoon”. What I absolutely loved about this performace is that she ADDED the required nasal factor that added to the appeal of this song by Shamshad Begum. That was almost perfect. Awesome Poonam ! Vishal was again the savior today to put Himesh in his place by pointing out that Poonam is here because of her performance not because of her story. Way to go !
Aneek was great. I agree with Vishal that he is still lacking the “feel” in his songs. Kinda more kiddish to Rafi’s grownup “feel”. But no way does that weaken his singing. I loved his “Tumsa nahin dekha”. I hope Aneek stays till the top 3 atleast.
I am wondering why the cameras were set in “Swing to Sumedha” mode during Aneek and who was the other one, oh yeah, Amanat’s performances… hmm..
And then I was soooo anxious to know the khaas reason for Aneek’s song choice…. (yeah right ! I was holding my breath !!) Thank god HimeshZee ne finally reveal kiya ki “ussne” kaha hai ki yahi gana gana hai.

And Aneek replaces Mouli (sadly). I Iike Aneek. He along with Amanat and Poonam are worth my time. Ofcourse it is fun to read the HR-Aneek lovestory posts in the forum, but I sincerely hope the bad currents do not affect Aneek’s stay in this competition.

Ek hafte se “Musarrat gayaa ! Musarrat gayaa” cheekh sun sun ke when finally when Musarrat gaya, I didnt feel a thing. Felt happy for him actually.
Let him enjoy the stardom from SRGMP and the freedom from SRGMP.
No one has questioned Musarrat’s musical talents, infact very few have even come close to criticising his singing (please refer the *spoiler* thread for detailed disussions around this
) ).
Like I have said many times before, Musarrat showed the most grace and character on stage…it added to his appeal.
No hype, no nakhra, no pre-performance bhashan nor post-perfomance taaliyan.
Even today, his parting speech was the most sincere words ever uttered on the “alvida kehne ka waqt” section of the show. He confessed he was never in a “competition”.
Musarrat bhai, we too didnt think you were in a competition. You were in a league of your own. You were here to “khush” karofy the Hindustani “dil” and you did exactly that. And you got no idea just how khush.
For someone whoz not been exposed much to NFAK (except a Lisa Ray and a Ash baby), what I take away from Musarrat is Nusarrat.
It is very sad that Musarrat never got a chance to show us what he can do in other genre as well. He was restricted to sufi style and yes, I empathize with the HR bashers on this one.
Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly. But nobody told this to the bumblebee, so it goes on flying anyways. (yeh mera nahi, kisi mahaan vyakti ka line hai.)
So it was wrong of his “GURU” to put that self-doubt in Musarrat’s head that he cannot sing other than sufi songs…. if Musarrat didnt know that, he could have done well in non-sufi as well. He can control his voice, modulate it well, irritate Bappida to hell with his lo-notes hi-notes (WOW !!) … so what the heck was the problem ?? This is a sore point I will carry away from srgmp2007.
As far as Himesh is concerned, I genuinely hope he is not the bad person he is been potrayed to be…I hope he did not keep Musarrat down as part of some sick Zee plan. I hope he understands that as long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down there to hold him down, so it means you cannot soar as you otherwise might. (y m n k m v k l h).
Overall, ID and VS are more balanced than BL and HR. Both BL and HR are eveready to pakdo the mic at the drop of a hat. Though we’ver never seen the hat drop off “someone”’s head ;0)

I usually never write, or prejudice someone, but Musarrat Abbas really encourages me to write few golden words for his DIVINE SINGING TALENT. I must say to Mussarat Abbas that he has been recognized by world now, so you don’t give up this opportunity and take your initiative to promote SUFIYANA and CLASSICAL singing. I don’t know why , but I feel that you are going to do something more effective and unique, and I’m waiting for it.

Remember how Musarrat sang Chal-Chal (Astitva) SO GODDAMN well??!! I think he would be able to do a great job of songs that need a lot of RANGE, and a lot of Sukhwinder Singh’s songs would fall in that category. He has this folksy, earthy, RICH voice with an awesome THROW to it, so obviously soft romantic songs might not sound all that great with his voice, but that doesn’t mean he’s incapable of being versatile or that he should restrict himself to one GENRE. Himesh, if you’re reading this, for God’s sake learn to pronounce this ONE word right. At the end of Challenge 2005 you should be able to say you learned SOMETHING from the experience and I think one word is about all your ego can handle. As it is I’m sick of your OVERSEAS crap. Also, hair plugs don’t cost THAT much (and you’re not fooling anyone who can google-image your name). Definitely not too expensive for people who perform in baseball stadiums that can seat 35,000 people, where SIRF “international” artists can perform. Does MTV/[V] still air those One Tight Slap videos? How about suggesting that one of them feature Himesh? God, I need to cool down.

Another stupid choice of song by HR ! For the first time in this show, I felt that Musarrat did not sing this song from his heart. It seemed as if he had some kind of inner thought that this is his last performance in the show and he wanted this drama to get over soon and run away from it as soon as possible. He even mentioned this back stage (as viewed on the ZEE music channel after the show was over) and siad that he had already lost the charm of singing in SRGMP and was satisfied with his number six position and did not wanted to go further in the contest.
I think he was very correct in saying this because all this dramabazi does not suits Musarrat at all. His best performances are those, where the contestants are made to sing on their own, without having any restrictions of singing songs of a particular era or wearing special costumes. His simplicity is his ornament and when he is asked to come out of it, he kind of become uncomfortable, which reflects in his singing and has an adverse effect on it. So I think Musarrat’s elimination from thes drama is like a blessing for him, because more he gets indulged in it, he was sure to lose his originality and we don’t want this to happen. At least, now he is free to sing in his own style.
We all hope now to see Musarrat coming out with his own albums and performing live shows in India. We wish him good luck for his future.

just saw the friday episode…i usually donot get affected by eliminations and such…but today was different…it was sad to see our mussarat go…i know he will do well…but it was sad…it was nice to hear his last song…very nice…his whole effort was not in…but i think he still sang one of the best…other good one was poonam…
me and i think everyone else who was standing on the stage realized what kind of singer is going from this show when they played his old performances…gem after gem after gem….graet singer…i could see he was sad….
plus the rest of the performances…mediocre…no magic..i guess musarat has set our standards too high….i don’t see magic happening in this show again…there will be competent, even excellent singing..but certainly no magic….and what did Raja sing….i think he was very bad…pathetic…why everyone was praising him…

Hey maybe the reason Mussarat got voted out is BECAUSE he is so good? Janta are looking for easy catchy numbers where they can sing along. It would take a very brave person to try singing even the first line of any of these Mussarat numbers. If there was a voting-based competition between NFAK and Sonu Nigam, everybody would agree that NFAK was by far the better singer, but Sonu would likely win the competition.

i was actually disappointed with the judges…all of them today…made a stupid issue on mussarat’s elimination…started fighting…HR being the flag bearer for the fight…all that stuff about “saraswati mata eik dafa sunti..”…i know its a well known saying…but sounded just like a dialouge from an indian movie…false emotions…but i think mussart was pretty mature about the HR crap…at the end he hugged Raja and said that he is the star…i think mussarat is way smarter than we think…he showed the audience and all the judges where he stands on this stupid issue of votes for Raja…
i think the real stars are all the contestants…and they have good camadry among them…these judges are too croupted by movie industry…nobody mentioned the real difference between mussarat and other singers…when mussarat sings…somewhere inbetween…suddenly there is “magic”…u just get gripped by some sur he hits…or some word he says in a certain way…this talent is God given…u either have it or u don’t…there are thousands of singer…but only rare ones have this talent…
i think there is something seriously wrong with the way votes are being counted in this show. a lot of people are not aware that the shows are shot on tuesdays and wednesdays, and if people vote after monday, their votes are carried forward to the next week’s shows. so that could explain how mauli and even mussarat got eliminated. coz the week b4 mauli sang namak ishq ka (which was one of the best performances in the laloo show IMO), she sang quite horribly on the akshay kumar show (being a hardcore mauli fan, i must admit this) and somehow the lack of votes from that performance carried forward into the next show when her elimination wasnt really expected.
i think zee needs to advertise this very well, till when votes are accepted coz i know a lot of people vote even after the mondays which doesnt really help. i voted about 4 times for mauli on the wednesday of last week only to discover later that my votes were discarded. and i was charged for sending the sms as well.
and well… about mussarat, after singing signal last week, he kind of was asking for trouble.
now only if aneek goes out next week, HR will shut up and just watch and the love story saga will finally end!!!!

saregama is not all about singing but it’s about the charm ,voice and also the public should love u and want to listen to u.for e.g raja , raja have been th ebest throughout the saregama episode, maybe the last episod when he sung pardesi – raja hindustani was not up to expectation, but the public believe he;s good coz it’s not their guru’s voting but but public votes.i remember one of the previous episode , musarat forgot his lyrics form the song tere bin( delhi heights) but he still got through. i’m a great great fan of himesh but i do feel his comments he made about raja was bad nad he needs to ask for apology. remember it’s public voting and guru’s voting, other wise we dont need guru’s voting…

Its so sad mussarat is out. Why cant we all get together contact him, get a website for him, his fan followers. Some live performances – especially high pitch ones (but at the same time he should keep his throat or gala in good condition, not stress out too much). I really liked the way he used to change the originals and sing in his own style. Only a true talent can afford to do that, who doesnt care about the results and sings just to enjoy and for music lovers.

At last HR succeeds in his plan to get rid of Mussarat and at last showed some predetermined sympathy for him. They all are idiots how the hell this can happen that Mussarat is out. Look voting stats only in this site its more than 25% for Mussarat that is he is no.1. Actually they played with him. If u all remember in the very 1st apperances of Mussarat Asha denied him and reason being his one genre Now the point is actually they all are scared by the Mussarat’s killing voice they know he has something special everytime he sung he just make room enrgetic either high pitch or low pitch song. They are worried that this guy will kick ass of other singer very easily. Now take a point if Mussarat is financially strong then he has no need to particpate in this show he just make an album may be of remix of Nusrat and launch it and surely got success but he took the other difficult path which has not been taken by other singers(like Aditya son of Udit thats the only reason he is a singer). But SAREGAMAPA played with him sad. Look in the end of episode how clearly Mussarat said I want to be in top six only shit. I cried they played with his talent. One think for sure his and Raja’s voice is one of the most recognized voice of this edition of saregamapa. Either they win or lose they made public to listen them already. Gud Luck Mussarat and Saregamapa too its just a crap now.

Musarrat is a very good singer, no doubt and he should have gone to at least top 4. The thing is there are so many calculations are there in Zee TVs mind. They need to take care of the TRP. I think they are planning to have Aneek vs. Amanat in the final. One of the girls could be the 3rd (mostly Poonam).
Even though Musarrat is one of the best singer of this competetion, he is the boss only in this area (NFAK type songs). But there is nothing wrong in it. I support HR in this question. Musarrat should not leave his style where he is the best. So, even though he is eliminated, he will have “roti” for sure. Where as, as I am suspecting either Aneek or Amanat will be the winner, but they have to struggle a lot to get a place in the industry as we already have Sonu, Shaan, Kumal, K K…but we don’t have Nasrat Fateh Ali Khan. That is why, who cares if Musarrat is the winner or not, he will be successful for sure.

This is planned yar they aside Mussarat by saying one genre from starting why they do not tell Annek to sing a NFAK song or to raja or to Amamnat then the real fight lies. But when Mussarat tried different thing too bad u r not going to survive but he is survived in our hearts his fans hearts and real listeners hearts.
To me Raja’s performance was quite “thanda” ….. he is not singing good from last few weeks but still every is trying to pull him up….its funny. One thing we all understood that we DO NOT require this “joner” much…that is why Mussarat did not get any chance in Bollywood on the other hand Amanat sang for so many. Junaid is still required because his voice is suitable for western kind of songs or hindi pop songs. Even if someday Mussarat gets a chance he will land up singing only one or two qwali or sufi which are not common in bollywood. I mean to say the demand is not there of this kind of singing.
People just stop saying bad words for Aneek…. he sings better then Raja and rest who are gone. Don’t try to mix the craps of HR with him.If you dont want to vote for him…its fine but don’t try to infulence others. We don’t care at all, we will still vote for Aneek, Amanat and Poonam. I think you jump to conclusions very soon. Getting a chance in Bollywood is not the “Pucca” proof that the singer is talented. I mean, a true singer does not need the Bollywood ka “Thappa” on him to declare him a great singer. Tell me, do all the singers who get a break in Bollywood, were excellent singers ?
Musarrat is undoubtedly the best voice of this SRGMP show and he does not need appreciative words of people,who do not understand what real music is.
Guys, let us analyze this a bit rationally.
1. Some are using very rude words for HR. If HR is the sole cause of Musarat’s elimination then that means people are fool and they don’t know how to listen ! That’s an insult to us!
2. Some also used abusive language against BL. Well he composed over 5000 songs in more than 450 films. I don’t know the musical expertise of those who are commenting against him!
3.Now let us talk about Musarat. Except the two songs ( Chal Chal and Afreen Afreen) show me a single song he has done justice to. The Sawaria song of Bandit queen was mercilessly butchered by him as far as the syntax of the raga goes. As any classical singer!
As far as modulation of his voice (without caring for the grammer of the raga on which the song is based) I can do much better whenever I sing taking a cold shower on a cold winter morning!
3. Musarat will be singing for one of BL’s composition by the end of this month. So those people who are abusing BL, will they have the guts to appreciate BL then?
4. If you people believe in that crap of Aneek’s love story and therefore want him out, you should stop watching this show and go to a Psychic !
Musarrat’s elimination is the worst thing happened in this year’s SRGMP. Musarrat, in no way has been a loser in this contest; on the contrary, he has built such a strong fan base through this show that none other contestant in SRGMP’s history could built. In fact, SRGMP is the loser to part with such a soulful singer.
I take Musarrat’s elimination from SRGMP in a very positive way. This simple guy from Lahore has shown with his performances that singers of this standard are rare gems for the music industry.
I think, the discussions on what Musarrat will do/should do next can wait for sometime. We must give some time to Musarrat to come out of this hang over of SRGMP and settle down. Singing is his passion and he is not going to quit it, at any cost.

i ve heard once on saregama that 6 singers got contract from vishal shekhar and those singers are amanat,raja junaid,mussarat sunil and apurva. is it true or not.if it is true then why so much talk going for no contract for mussarat.he is the best.i hope she doll of bappi will get eliminate soon.poonam should win this contest

In Friday’s episode of Saregamapa Challenge 2007, Mussarat Abbas contestant of Rock Gharana got eliminated from the show.. He and Raja Hasan of Hit Squad Gharana were in bottom 2.. and the one getting the least number of votes was going to get eliminated.. But Mussarat was ready to quit even if Raja would have got lesser votes than him..
Mussarat says “I was prepared to quit even if I was not eliminated because Raja is a good singer and the only one left from Vishal and Shekhar’s gharana.”
Mussarat did feel bad about his elimination.. He added that he did feel bad about his elimination as he deserved to be in Top 3 atleast.. but he feels there is no control over public’s opinion.. Mussarat doesnt agree to the theory that his performances in only genre was responsible for his oust.. He feels that nobody can sing like Nussaratsahab.. and he is God gifted.. and he only like to sing songs of legendary singers.. even on Friday’s episode he sung Rafiji’s song and everyone accepted and appreciated his performance..
Regarding Mussarat’s career after exit from the show -Mussarat is preparing for his own album where he is going to compose music and also write lyrics for it.. He will be able to finish it in two months time.. Further he has many offers to sing from both the countries..
Seems like all the Top Saregamapa Challengers will have an amazing career ahead..
Lets wish Mussarat all the best for a rocking career ahead……
