Review of 14th September Episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007
Today is the elimination episode and one among the Super 6 will get eliminated and we will get top 5.. So, lets wait and watch who is the unlucky one..
The show commences with Aditya and the contestants singing Boli surat dil ke khote.. Guys and Aditya start it, later the girs also join.. The song is shown fully in black white.. The mentors are also enjoying the performance.. Bappida even gives a standing ovation.. All the mentors stand up and give them encouragement.. The contestants come down and get blessings from the mentors..
Aditya announces that today is elimination episode and says, viewers have voted this time based on their last week performances and an AV of all the contestants performances on friday and saturday is shown..
This time they have got 52 lakh votes..
No. 1 is Amanat Ali
The globe of fortune is rotated and Amanat is number 1 this week.. He says I feel that full India is with me..
Big FM RJ Kaushik and Gogol come on stage to announce that Yalgaar gharana will sing the song choices made by the listeners and says Amanat and Poonam will be singing Ude jab jab zulfein teri and mere piya gaye rangoon respectively

His Dad says, he composes songs too and whatever he has learnt is from his mother..
Aditya says, the contestants had put a chit for knowing who will be out and Aneek’s name came up and so he asked his parents not to come, but they will be here tomorrow,..
Aneek says the song he is going to sing is a wonderful composition of OP Nayyar sahab and singing that composition in this stage is wonderful and so dedicate this song for him..

Mussarat – I am happy to have reached uptil this level, but what I feel bad is that I have to part from this set, show, mentors and contestants..
While speaking, Himesh interrupts him and says – you lost by giving better performance.. you sang better than Raja.. This is an injustice that because of the fan following.. Raja was given low marks than Mussarat.. So, its obvious that Raja must have been eliminated.. His point here is that vote based on that particular episode’s performance and not based on the previous performances.. Himesh was saying – “Raja must also be feeling guilty because he is there and Mussarat got eliminated”.. Vishal raised the point that Raja was not bad that day and that he need not be feeling guilty for this.. Himesh then continues that – “Raja is a good singer and good human being and in fact even I had asked the audience to vote for him but my point here is that Mussarat got more marks than Raja and he shouldnt have been eliminated”.. Bappida brings the issue of Mauli saying she too got eliminated after getting all 10 from the judges.. So, is that fair? Himesh cuts him short that he doesnot want to bring this issue of Mauli here and that he feels Mussarat will make it to top and that Raja is good singer and must stay..
Vishal supports Mussarat and says, he will definitely make it to top..
Mussarat’s journey is shown and he hugs all the mentors and contestants and thus, his journey comes to an end here..

dunno why, since i didnt particularly take to mussarat till pretty late in the game, but something about the way he was chewed up and spat out by ganja bandar ( when he discovered his more “versatile” chela ) left a bad taste

Another stupid choice of song by HR ! For the first time in this show, I felt that Musarrat did not sing this song from his heart. It seemed as if he had some kind of inner thought that this is his last performance in the show and he wanted this drama to get over soon and run away from it as soon as possible. He even mentioned this back stage (as viewed on the ZEE music channel after the show was over) and siad that he had already lost the charm of singing in SRGMP and was satisfied with his number six position and did not wanted to go further in the contest.
I think he was very correct in saying this because all this dramabazi does not suits Musarrat at all. His best performances are those, where the contestants are made to sing on their own, without having any restrictions of singing songs of a particular era or wearing special costumes. His simplicity is his ornament and when he is asked to come out of it, he kind of become uncomfortable, which reflects in his singing and has an adverse effect on it. So I think Musarrat’s elimination from thes drama is like a blessing for him, because more he gets indulged in it, he was sure to lose his originality and we don’t want this to happen. At least, now he is free to sing in his own style.
We all hope now to see Musarrat coming out with his own albums and performing live shows in India. We wish him good luck for his future.

1)Why did all the judges go on the stage to dance & sing with Raja when actually he sounded so horrible!Why didn’t they favor poonam or others who sang well?

3)What is the connection between love traingle & singing competition?
4)Does the topiwala guru have cronic sinus infection?(she knows few hindi words-topiwala is one of them)
5)Why did mussarat look so sad right from the beginning of the show? Why didn’t he cry?Did he know beforehand about his elemination?

just saw the friday episode…i usually donot get affected by eliminations and such…but today was different…it was sad to see our mussarat go…i know he will do well…but it was sad…it was nice to hear his last song…very nice…his whole effort was not in…but i think he still sang one of the best…other good one was poonam…
me and i think everyone else who was standing on the stage realized what kind of singer is going from this show when they played his old performances…gem after gem after gem….graet singer…i could see he was sad….
plus the rest of the performances…mediocre…no magic..i guess musarat has set our standards too high….i don’t see magic happening in this show again…there will be competent, even excellent singing..but certainly no magic….and what did Raja sing….i think he was very bad…pathetic…why everyone was praising him…

Hey maybe the reason Mussarat got voted out is BECAUSE he is so good? Janta are looking for easy catchy numbers where they can sing along. It would take a very brave person to try singing even the first line of any of these Mussarat numbers. If there was a voting-based competition between NFAK and Sonu Nigam, everybody would agree that NFAK was by far the better singer, but Sonu would likely win the competition.

i was actually disappointed with the judges…all of them today…made a stupid issue on mussarat’s elimination…started fighting…HR being the flag bearer for the fight…all that stuff about “saraswati mata eik dafa sunti..”…i know its a well known saying…but sounded just like a dialouge from an indian movie…false emotions…but i think mussart was pretty mature about the HR crap…at the end he hugged Raja and said that he is the star…i think mussarat is way smarter than we think…he showed the audience and all the judges where he stands on this stupid issue of votes for Raja…
i think the real stars are all the contestants…and they have good camadry among them…these judges are too croupted by movie industry…nobody mentioned the real difference between mussarat and other singers…when mussarat sings…somewhere inbetween…suddenly there is “magic”…u just get gripped by some sur he hits…or some word he says in a certain way…this talent is God given…u either have it or u don’t…there are thousands of singer…but only rare ones have this talent…
i think there is something seriously wrong with the way votes are being counted in this show. a lot of people are not aware that the shows are shot on tuesdays and wednesdays, and if people vote after monday, their votes are carried forward to the next week’s shows. so that could explain how mauli and even mussarat got eliminated. coz the week b4 mauli sang namak ishq ka (which was one of the best performances in the laloo show IMO), she sang quite horribly on the akshay kumar show (being a hardcore mauli fan, i must admit this) and somehow the lack of votes from that performance carried forward into the next show when her elimination wasnt really expected.
i think zee needs to advertise this very well, till when votes are accepted coz i know a lot of people vote even after the mondays which doesnt really help. i voted about 4 times for mauli on the wednesday of last week only to discover later that my votes were discarded. and i was charged for sending the sms as well.
and well… about mussarat, after singing signal last week, he kind of was asking for trouble.
now only if aneek goes out next week, HR will shut up and just watch and the love story saga will finally end!!!!

Its so sad mussarat is out. Why cant we all get together contact him, get a website for him, his fan followers. Some live performances – especially high pitch ones (but at the same time he should keep his throat or gala in good condition, not stress out too much). I really liked the way he used to change the originals and sing in his own style. Only a true talent can afford to do that, who doesnt care about the results and sings just to enjoy and for music lovers.

At last HR succeeds in his plan to get rid of Mussarat and at last showed some predetermined sympathy for him. They all are idiots how the hell this can happen that Mussarat is out. Look voting stats only in this site its more than 25% for Mussarat that is he is no.1. Actually they played with him. If u all remember in the very 1st apperances of Mussarat Asha denied him and reason being his one genre Now the point is actually they all are scared by the Mussarat’s killing voice they know he has something special everytime he sung he just make room enrgetic either high pitch or low pitch song. They are worried that this guy will kick ass of other singer very easily. Now take a point if Mussarat is financially strong then he has no need to particpate in this show he just make an album may be of remix of Nusrat and launch it and surely got success but he took the other difficult path which has not been taken by other singers(like Aditya son of Udit thats the only reason he is a singer). But SAREGAMAPA played with him sad. Look in the end of episode how clearly Mussarat said I want to be in top six only shit. I cried they played with his talent. One think for sure his and Raja’s voice is one of the most recognized voice of this edition of saregamapa. Either they win or lose they made public to listen them already. Gud Luck Mussarat and Saregamapa too its just a crap now.

Musarrat is a very good singer, no doubt and he should have gone to at least top 4. The thing is there are so many calculations are there in Zee TVs mind. They need to take care of the TRP. I think they are planning to have Aneek vs. Amanat in the final. One of the girls could be the 3rd (mostly Poonam).
Even though Musarrat is one of the best singer of this competetion, he is the boss only in this area (NFAK type songs). But there is nothing wrong in it. I support HR in this question. Musarrat should not leave his style where he is the best. So, even though he is eliminated, he will have “roti” for sure. Where as, as I am suspecting either Aneek or Amanat will be the winner, but they have to struggle a lot to get a place in the industry as we already have Sonu, Shaan, Kumal, K K…but we don’t have Nasrat Fateh Ali Khan. That is why, who cares if Musarrat is the winner or not, he will be successful for sure.

This is planned yar they aside Mussarat by saying one genre from starting why they do not tell Annek to sing a NFAK song or to raja or to Amamnat then the real fight lies. But when Mussarat tried different thing too bad u r not going to survive but he is survived in our hearts his fans hearts and real listeners hearts.
To me Raja’s performance was quite “thanda” ….. he is not singing good from last few weeks but still every is trying to pull him up….its funny. One thing we all understood that we DO NOT require this “joner” much…that is why Mussarat did not get any chance in Bollywood on the other hand Amanat sang for so many. Junaid is still required because his voice is suitable for western kind of songs or hindi pop songs. Even if someday Mussarat gets a chance he will land up singing only one or two qwali or sufi which are not common in bollywood. I mean to say the demand is not there of this kind of singing.
People just stop saying bad words for Aneek…. he sings better then Raja and rest who are gone. Don’t try to mix the craps of HR with him.If you dont want to vote for him…its fine but don’t try to infulence others. We don’t care at all, we will still vote for Aneek, Amanat and Poonam. The results are just infornt of you…..

I think you jump to conclusions very soon. Getting a chance in Bollywood is not the “Pucca” proof that the singer is talented. I mean, a true singer does not need the Bollywood ka “Thappa” on him to declare him a great singer. Tell me, do all the singers who get a break in Bollywood, were excellent singers ?
Musarrat is undoubtedly the best voice of this SRGMP show and he does not need appreciative words of people,who do not understand what real music is.
Guys, let us analyze this a bit rationally.
1. Some are using very rude words for HR. If HR is the sole cause of Musarat’s elimination then that means people are fool and they don’t know how to listen ! That’s an insult to us!
2. Some also used abusive language against BL. Well he composed over 5000 songs in more than 450 films. I don’t know the musical expertise of those who are commenting against him!
3.Now let us talk about Musarat. Except the two songs ( Chal Chal and Afreen Afreen) show me a single song he has done justice to. The Sawaria song of Bandit queen was mercilessly butchered by him as far as the syntax of the raga goes. As any classical singer!
As far as modulation of his voice (without caring for the grammer of the raga on which the song is based) I can do much better whenever I sing taking a cold shower on a cold winter morning!
3. Musarat will be singing for one of BL’s composition by the end of this month. So those people who are abusing BL, will they have the guts to appreciate BL then?
4. If you people believe in that crap of Aneek’s love story and therefore want him out, you should stop watching this show and go to a Psychic !
Musarrat’s elimination is the worst thing happened in this year’s SRGMP. Musarrat, in no way has been a loser in this contest; on the contrary, he has built such a strong fan base through this show that none other contestant in SRGMP’s history could built. In fact, SRGMP is the loser to part with such a soulful singer.
I take Musarrat’s elimination from SRGMP in a very positive way. This simple guy from Lahore has shown with his performances that singers of this standard are rare gems for the music industry.
I think, the discussions on what Musarrat will do/should do next can wait for sometime. We must give some time to Musarrat to come out of this hang over of SRGMP and settle down. Singing is his passion and he is not going to quit it, at any cost.
Meri ALLAH se yahi guzarish hai ki Musarrat aur us ke pariwar ko itni khushiyan de, taki use rozi roti ki koi fikr na rahe aur who yun he apni sangeet sadhna karta rahe aur hum sangeet ke deewano ko apni awaaz ke jadoo se aur deewana banata rahe.

i ve heard once on saregama that 6 singers got contract from vishal shekhar and those singers are amanat,raja junaid,mussarat sunil and apurva. is it true or not.if it is true then why so much talk going for no contract for mussarat.he is the best.i hope she doll of bappi will get eliminate soon.poonam should win this contest

In Friday’s episode of Saregamapa Challenge 2007, Mussarat Abbas contestant of Rock Gharana got eliminated from the show.. He and Raja Hasan of Hit Squad Gharana were in bottom 2.. and the one getting the least number of votes was going to get eliminated.. But Mussarat was ready to quit even if Raja would have got lesser votes than him..
Mussarat says “I was prepared to quit even if I was not eliminated because Raja is a good singer and the only one left from Vishal and Shekhar’s gharana.”
Mussarat did feel bad about his elimination.. He added that he did feel bad about his elimination as he deserved to be in Top 3 atleast.. but he feels there is no control over public’s opinion.. Mussarat doesnt agree to the theory that his performances in only genre was responsible for his oust.. He feels that nobody can sing like Nussaratsahab.. and he is God gifted.. and he only like to sing songs of legendary singers.. even on Friday’s episode he sung Rafiji’s song and everyone accepted and appreciated his performance..
Regarding Mussarat’s career after exit from the show -Mussarat is preparing for his own album where he is going to compose music and also write lyrics for it.. He will be able to finish it in two months time.. Further he has many offers to sing from both the countries..
Seems like all the Top Saregamapa Challengers will have an amazing career ahead..
Lets wish Mussarat all the best for a rocking career ahead……
