Its really wierd..Even on not so good singing ….all the guru’s promoting their folks way too much .and even the openent gurus going gaga about some not so good singing just to make other music directors happy. It appears more of a PR front than a music front.
I believe Aneek, Amanat and Raja (sometimes Mussarat) are best rest all are tagging along just to get eliminated by the week. Specially Mauli she is only good for High note songs. Any song and she can turn it into a Chamiya style song.

ALL IS BULLSHIT. This is totally crap show which is only making fun of all the singers here. All judges are seems to watch their mujra here… Nobody is counting or analysing on any performance just it s all been fixed up now that who will win. Im waiting for when all paki singers will be voted out so that they can take relief from this show which really sucks now. Racism, Patriotism, Jealousy, Materialism, Favourism are the only features involved in this show. Totally partial activities.
I really like amanat’s singing. He is a great singer. My favorites are
1. Amanat
2. Aneek
3. Raja
4. Poonam
5. Sumaidha, Musarat
It will be sad if the pakistani singers get eliminated (but they are better then Mauli)even though they are great. I will vote for Amanat. Hopefully, he will not get eliminated. I hate partial activities.
Guys pzzz….ask Himesh to cut the crap – kaan pak gaye hain, we are sick of this “love story”. Like Vishal says – keep it off the stage plz. And what was this crap about making Aneek ask that Question – he’s an excellent singer, without any need to stoop to these cheap gimmicks…

P.S.Himesh is doing all this only for his own fame, nobody else’s and Aneek is too naive(he is only a kid after all; and so is Amanat) to fall in in the trap…
Himesh did the same with Vinit viz. “True Love Story” and came up with a movie with the same theme…I know he is working on the next “acting” project which may as well turn out to be a triangle love story and hence the publicity…Thats it!

One of my misconceptions was cleared in todays episode , i had developed a prejudice that Bappida is a selfish man is just concerned about his own gharana etc.
But when Akshay said that Bappida got him the role of khiladi when he was stuggling my Point of view for bappida took a 180 degree turn..
Hats off bappida ..we are proud that you are in the show..we love you..
I like ANEEK’s singing very much …he is attemting all new movie songs which have basically difficult antras and singing them fabulously..
Amanat,Raja,Poonam make my top four

Harpreet is my wild card he has the potential to even break into the top three if he gets some backing from mentors and public…
I have not included mussarat because he is very much a sufi genre singer and lacks versatility..
I think Raja and Aneek are amazing singer. Both have their own style and are very versatile with their songs. Poonam and Amanat are also good, but they can do better.
Sumedha and Mussarat are okay, but they aren’t as good as the other four.
Lastly, Mauli is the WORST of all. she should have been eliminated such a long time ago, i don’t understand why she’s still on the show.
I just watched the show. First of all i gotta say that i really missed Junaid!
Today, i think all of the contestants sang very well, but i cant seem to get that everyone got 10 on 10, even though some didnt deserve it. The mentors had excuses like, tumhara sur upar niche tha, but still ull get 10. Or, since u attempted a difficult song, ill give u 10.
And yeah, Aneeks throat infection?
How come they bring this up, when they never talked about Junaids throat infection. That is a bit unfair in my view. (not that i have anything against Aneek, he is a great singer. I am just showing u guys how the mentors treat the singers.)
Anyway, todays show has shown how much favorism saregamapa content. I mean, having Raja, Aneek and Mauli at the end of the show in front of everyone singing Garam Masala. I couldnt see any sign to Poonam, Harpreet, Mussarat and Sumedha. We did see Amanat a bit, but he didnt sing. Omg, the judges are hyping them so much up upon really irrelevant bases.
And yeah, Himesh..STOP THIS TRIANGLE LOVE STORY. I am really getting sick of it. First having Sumedha in the middle of Aneek and Amanat in the beginning. And then they show Sumedha all the time during Amanats performance. What do zee really want by this, cos i dont belive this story.

Aneek – Good job. Nothing extraordinary or spectacular.
Himesh, nice job playing that imaginary guitar while Aneek was singing the second time.
“Sachchi mohabbat mein gaa rahe ho, tumahri mohabbat ko salaam” – another Himeshism.
Sumedha – Was off-key in several places. Strictly okay singing. Aneek, your expressions on the camera while Sumedha was singing didn’t convince us. Boo, Aneek!
Mauli – Did anyone else think she was looking like some exotic bird? Nothing to say about her singing. The usual. Everything sounds the same when she sings it (= bad).
And Bappi asked her to sing AGAIN? And in the meantime proceeded to maska-lagaofy Akshay (unsurprising). WHY?? Once wasn’t enough for you, Bappi?
Aneek, why were you in our faces during MAULI’S performance as well? Make up your mind.
Akshay – “Main bahut hi besura aadmi hoon.” (That’s why you could sing along with Mauli.)
OMG the way Bappi launched into random out-of-place praise for Aditya?? LOL my stomach hurt! Aditya looked so embarrassed.
And consensus on Mauli’s song being a “very difficult song”….LOL!!

Amanat: Awesome job. I especially liked the alankaars. He looked so cute dancing! I love him I love him I love him to bits. The once-shy guy has come out of his shell and taken my heart.
Poonam – Less than great. I don’t know if it’s the singers’ fault though because ‘Songs From Akshay’s Films’ is not a category you can EXCEL in. There’s only so much you can do with a mediocre song. And SIT DOWN Aneek! S.T.U.P.I.D. B.O.Y!
Himesh – Thanks for bringing up her mom and her situation. The show really needed it…NOT! Himesh: The Jerk: The Drama Queen
Harpreet – Good job. Again, what I consider a strictly mediocre composition.

ROTFL!! You rock, Bappi.
Amanat was trying so hard in the end to look like he was part of the action…he tried, too (jumped a little) but then gave up…I wanted to go give him a hug. He had this “WTF is happening here?” look on the entire time. Ditto for Musarrat.
Overall, I did NOT enjoy this episode’s performances. It’s partly because I don’t listen to/am not familiar with these new songs. And partly because I think they’re NOT good songs…esp. when it comes to showcasing your musical abilities.
I was hoping the future shows would be all about spectacular performances, but things only seem to be getting uglier.

Musarrat sang another Himesh song…SIGH !! “Aye meri zohrajabeen..” But he was very good. He should get credit for doing a great job and NOT sounding like HIM.
Aneek has learnt a trick or two from Raja.. Jor laga ke gao, to “lo notes” se bach sakte ho. Pura dus milega. His Mast Qalander was like a 5th grade class at recess. Everyone was singing .. sorry shouting.. sur, taal, ‘lo note’, ‘hie note’ sab Yudhviram kar rahe the. It was like jaise you know mata aa geyee… sorry Aneek fans, I did’nt like it at all.
Sumedha.. kiddo.. whats happened !!
She was horrendous singing “gela gela gela”. She tried to ‘pull a Mouli’ in this song. Her throaty grunts were enough to drive my cats out to the balcony. Usko sunke I thought my wireless headphones mein static bad gayee..
Compare to yesterdays beautiful performance, this is BAD !!! I agree with Shekar on this. 7/10 was too generous.
Mouli….What can I say…I have run out of words !! She was MINDBLOWING !! Sar phat gaya !! Her “madhoshiyaaaaaaAAAAAAAAA”
and “khamoshiyaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA” was enough to make my cats jump OUT of the balcony. And when Bappida wanted an encore….
Akshay’s comment was like “I am very besura, jaise aapne (bappida) mere sar pe hath pher diya, waise hi iske sar mein bhi pherna..” Get the hint Bappi da…

She was ok in the Akki show. For some reason I got bored halfway thru the song…. So I went to look for my cats. To be honest I am not a big fan of the original song in Lataji’s voice either.
BTW, there was a FIRST in today’s show… yeh riwaz kab se hai ki previous episodes ke liye ISS episode mein points milte hain ??!! Poonam got 9 for today and 1 for yesterday !!
And, Poonam, 8 for performance, -3 for contacts. So pura 5. Sorry.
Harpreet – I love this song. He sang well. But easy to sing. Train/bus journeys mein kids playing timepass anthakshiri can sing this song well too.
7 for the performance, 2 for the kids in the bus. So 9.
Raja is certainly taking his competition with Aneek very seriously !! It was a HYPER 5th grade class in recess. Raja’s sur was all over the place. He better collect them all before next week.
Overall sorry, it was a bad hour and a half for me in today’s Akki special. Dont know why but all gurus were giving away DUSs like election time mein pamphlets.

The entire time is focused on the new-movie theme or the celebrity and no one is really evaluating the singers.

I do agree with you guys.There is favouritism in this show. But so do you guys.all I can see is u r flaming someone for the same thing which u guys r doing.If u want to be a critic then try to be fair.Aneek is very good, but sometimes he also makes mistakes. And its not about winning this show.All these mentors, after this show is over I want to see how many times they will compose songs for their favourites. Man lets be real who is a real signer will excel in life. Remember last time Saregamapa, Debojit and Vinit both are workless but Hemachandra and Nihira both are working.Cause to me they wer far superior singer than Debu or Vineet. How many of us has remembered abhijeet Sawant? How much work does he have(aoart from ads)? So why fight about this show? Who is real talented will get work, otherwise winning a show will not give them work later on. So lets just enjoy this SOAP OPERA. By the way I think Amanat,Poonam,Aneek,Harpreet will be successful later on. Raja is very good singer but has limitations. I will not discuss about Musarrat cause everyone knows that he is only good at Sufi songs.Have you guys noticed Zunaid’s voice? It’s so husky.I dont’t think it will match any hero’s(if not doctored instrumentally).Harpreet is really improving a lot.Sumedha is good sometimes.Mauli? watch the salman episode, he lip synces to junaid singing “aisa pehli baar hua ha” towards the end of the performace and it sounds mega natural
intially i did think his voice was too young sounding for the khan brigade but i dont think that way anymore
harpreet sang really easy songs im afraid- both in the qawaali round and this past weekend
waada tera waada is hardly a qawaali and songs from jhankaar beats hardly stretch his range..
so his “improvement ” is an illusion
to echo others i really do wish they would have a classical song round, amanant and mussarat would wipe the floors with the others
and yes it sucks that mostly contemprory – new songs are being sung on the show.. what about some vintage stufff? you know the classics? not instant crap like music from hey baby , aap ka suroor and the like

today’s episode wasnt much fun, i actually found it quite boring and unfair. i think that mauli didnt deserve a 9/9/10..she didnt sing that good..why is bappi hyping her so much? he has a better gem in his gharana, sumedha, who sings so much better than mauli does. why doesnt he promote her?

i request HR to stop talking abt unnecessary things on stage……after a point of time it gets irritating…..this is a musical show not a counselling centre………..nd all the mentors pls stop giving unwanted hype to ur favourite contestants…….nd ID i dont understand wat is the use of those points as u give every1 10…..sometimes u say for audience…sumtimes u say becoz of the judge im giving 10…give the points on the contestant’s performance and all the mentors do mention their mistakes when u cut their points…may the best singer win!

But one thing,,, I can’t stand Aneek anymore. I mean I used to like this guy but with HR wanting him to be more like “Besuri” or Raja; he has lost his originality.
In the last show the guy was acting like a clown trying to grab all the attention on and off the camera. His performance was mediocre and his offcamera antics were even more nauseating.
Sorry dude, u r becoming the male version of Mauli, the only thing left is a “Maiya Maiya” (or whatever that cheezy) song is performance from you … hehehe

Gosh…the favoritism by the judges is really pathetic!!!! No one sang that well. I was almost inclined to switch of the TV and do justice to my ears. But I had nothing better to do.
In my opinion HR’s Love Triangle Naatak is UTTER CRAP. Hello? This is a singing show not a dating agency!!! Gosh! He really does not seem to realise that!!!
My review for this show,
Mussarat – I feel sorry for you dude, you are in HR’s gharana and since Aneek is only capable of Sonu type songs and since ANEEK HAS TO WIN, you have to sing HRs song and how good you sing even those pathetic songs no use you ll be out soon (Iam really sorry, I still listen to your sanwre and afreen daily several times), but as Bappi Da so correctly said Himesh is Himesh and no body can be more worse
Sumedha – Bad perfromance, Chup ke se was awesome but this one was bakwas. you have a sweet voice but nothing extra ordinary
Poonam – Bad song selection , you couldnt show your voice power. but overall a very very good singer, poor girl lacks the latkas and jhatkas and therefore lacks in votes.
Harpreet – I like you as a human being always trying to buck up ppl and cheer them and hug them , but since this is a music competition and your singing capabilites although much better then Mauli are way inferior then the other contestants, You can be a good wedding singer.
Aneek – I liked your song (but there is a trick here guys you have to switch off the monitors), Just tell me one thing what did you do for HR??? this curiosity is killing me. No doubt you are a good singer i loved your bhulla di jana and sandesay alot but not as good as we are told so.
Raja – what can i say already a winner. already decided , zee already bribed, so its useless to say anything more, like aneek’s i also liked you performance but i had to go one step further i switched off the speakers too.
Amanat – Dude , you rock, i really respect you as a singer, but just Vishal the master of music pointed out the problem with your low notes but then he went to sleep again as he missed all the probs in aneek, raja and mauli’s performances, I wish you all the best , although this song was not your best one but you still the best in this competition.

I really respect you but please treat Mussart equally as Aneek. You have created discriminations and I swear its really quite obvious. That is not fair. You are a teacher for all students not for a particular student. Treat every one equal and pass equally good comments on both of your students. Believe me Mussarat is better than aneek but you are degrading mussarat. Actually you have degraded yourself. Please be a good teacher because if people trust you. YOUR biggest fan.

Hey, i just want to correct my last post because i meant SOME of the contestants sang very well todasy, not all. I miss typed.
Anyway, we all have know seen how much favorism it is. I mean, saying “Mere pas Mauli hai” and “mere pas Amanat hai”, that says it all. I wonder how the others contestants must have felt. I mean i dont think Poonam or Sumedha liked that very much, the open favorism. I just cant belive how they dare to just comment something like that infront of the whole world. They should start treating them equally.
And yeah, they should for Gods sake stop this idiotic love triangle. What is the point of filming Sumedha half of the time during Amanats performance? And then in the hungama video, they make up something between Junaid and Sumedha?…akhir yeh cahate kyaaa hai? Okay Sumedha is a beautiful girl, but they are taking too much advantage of her beauty. But i think this is also all preplanned, from the contestants side as well. I mean, they all know the rumours, and if Sumedha, Aneek and Amanat didnt like it…they would never do the opening with Sumedha in between them.
The contestants who are beeing ignored at this point in my view are Poonam and Harpreet. They are in the same treatment path as Junaid, which is a shame. But i think it was wrong of HR to bring up Poonams beeing from a poor family matter up. Does he want Poonam to gain sympathi votes or what? And Mauli, i just cant comment her. Her hypeness is beyond the limit. Aswell as Raja.
Anyway, my favorite contestant is now Amanat and Mussarat. I really hope they get the fair treatment, because they have been singing well from the beginning. I know Mussarat is not the most versatile singer, but atleast he has attemted a lot of other kind of songs, where he unfortunately did not succeed. And Amanat… Tumhara to jawab hi nahi hai!
I really hope that the judges can stop this emotionall drama and give them grades based upon their PERFORMANCES AND SINGING. Not on other irrelevant bases like,”public ke KHATIR”.

Our Strategy: The only way we can eliminate Mauli is this: We vote a lot for all the other contestants. I know this might seem strange, but think about it. If the Mauli-deaf-and-brainless-fans put 100 votes for her, then all the rest of the contestants need to have more than 100 votes each for her to be the last.
Strategy: Flood votes for everyone else and not just for your favorites. Don’t vote for Mauli!
Difficulty: Its not difficult! Just 1 vote per other contestants can make a difference. Think of it, there must be about 10,000 at least who can join in this campaign. 10,000 more votes for each contestant can bring Mauli to a lower position!

With all due respectg Sajal, If u think Mussarat is Only good at Sufi songs than i think u should listen to “Dard-e-Dil…Dard-e-Jigar” … “Gulabi ankhain jo teri daikhin”.. & “Chal Chal meray sang sang” which were sung fabulously by Mussarat.
I am not saying Mussarat is a perfect singer but i think he is capable of singing all kind of songs (atleast those songs which were sung by the singers who dont sing from their NOSE).

I dont know what to expect out of LPY in this show. Is he musically inclined or is he invited just to pull the crowd ?? Last when I followed up with Bihar politics was when he was in Jail in the fodder scam and wife Rabdi Devi was sambhalofying the state along with her kids… I remember an interview with Rabdi Devi on Doordarshan, she was cutting kaddu in her kitchen and answering into the mic. I was thinking yeh kya haal ho raha hai mere desh ka !!

It’s true, mate. It seems he insisted that noone wear “western” outfits so the men have to wear dhoti-kurtas and the women ghaghra-cholis. I wouldn’t be too surprised if next year instead of ‘Songs Filmed on Akshay Kumar’ the rounds are of the type ‘Ghaghra-Choli Songs’ or ‘Bikini Songs’.
I missed the episodes when Asha Bhonsle was a judge (did catch up on the R. Roshan/Khayyam episodes though). How was she?
On another note, I watched some Star Voice of India bits on Youtube…because I’d heard someone sang Justuju Jiski Thhi (UmraoJaan). Sadly, I wasn’t too impressed. The same voting-shoting nonsense, drama between the judges…is there really no escape from this crap? In fact I’d have to admit the quality of singing on SRGMP is way better.

I have watched quite a few episodes of Star Voice and some of the participants are real good. Specially Toshi,Harshmit, Aabhas,Sumitra, Priyani. Watch out for the performances on youtube.
They have had Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan as judges in the recent episodes and it was very entertaining.
The judging is biased, but less of a circus compared to SAREDRAMA.
Alka is critical,but sometimes has excellent advise and noone challenges the Invited Judge.
On the SAREDRAMA, LYP is known not to eat his words and Mauli dear would require exceptional skills to earn kudos from him. This is one Judge where the charm may not work.
Look forward to this episode. It ma y be fun. After all tamasha to hai hi.

Atleast Harpreet earned the reputation of becoming a good wedding singer. Raja, Aneek & Mauli can come n sing on functions when a new kid is born. You know like the type of ppl who ‘clap n sing in weird voice n collect money.

Ashaji episodes were way way WAY better than the current ones. There was different type of drama then. the gurus were at each other’s throats. But at least sangeet and gayki was still the most important factor in the show. Ashaji’s verdicts were not accepted wholeheartedly by many judges, but I thought she was very very balanced and she kept the focus and judgement on singing.
Over and above all the critisisms, the quality of singing is so good in srgmp.
This week its possible that Mouli will go. All the excuses are run out now. Last week, Shekhar did say to Mouli ki her voice was sounding tired. hint.. hint..

“SARE DRAMA”, though i would like to take credit for it, it’s not mine. Whoever it is, its funny.
I think Ashaji,Ghulam Ali should have actually judged the final 8’s rather than the start. They could have got various other judges in the previous rounds ( Manna Dey Saab, Kavita, Hariharan,Sonu Nigam,Sukhvinder).
They should now go for quality songs and not “hits”. They should also ask them to sing “Duets”. Poonam is my fav. and I feel she has been very bad in her recent choice of songs. She has chosen good songs, but she can do better.
Hope she sings some classic Asha songs or Lata’s old classics.
Totally agree with Senty about the quality of the shows when Ashaji was the judge. Didn’t they say that she was planning to come back at the end of the contest again? I also liked the episodes when Khaiyyamji and Rajesh Roshan ji were judges. They were judging the contestants purely on their singing talent. Though I have to admit I didn’t like the episode where HR asked Mauli to sing second song and eventually RR ended up giving marks depending upon two performances instead of one. That was totally unfair. I really wish they bring music maestros as judges than some cartoons like LPY. And personally I thought people like Kapil Dev and Akshay Kumar/Salman Khan were better judges than the four judges themselves.
In all the hype and hoopla one is missing out on something really good-poonam !she is a damn good singer.so is amanat.tho Raja is everybody’s laadla,but Amanat and poonam are “perfect ” singers.so i vote for Raja,amanat,poonam and aneek in the finals with raja winning the crown.Raja is not a perfect singer but his voice drives straight into your heart like a cupid’s arrow.I always vote only for him!!!

If the quality of singers in Saregamapa was good earlier, I think it was partly due to the presence of pakistani singers in Saregama ranks. You remove 3 paki singers from Saregama, all you are left is a bunch of amateur-bathroom Sonu nigam wanna-be singers (And yes I am an Indian critical of the quality of our own home grown singers)
People watch STAR VOICE OF INDIA show in Star Plus TV. It’s atleat better than this. Though the judges except Abhijit Bhatacharya are doing great job. All contestants are singing really good specially Priyani, Toshi, Harshit, & Smitra. Arshpreet was fantastic voice in that show but got eliminated. I hope you’d like it. Let’s turn to VOI. 100% agreed with above comment @Anonymous: “If the quality of singers in Saregamapa was good earlier, I think it was…”. All the Pakistani singers who participated in this show were great and still giving their level best performances. Except Sumedha n Raja, no one has a voice like Paki singer. Judges taking partial activities and showing their favourism just because to promote their Indian singers to reach at top positions. All the judges comparatively taking apart to leave the support of Pakistani singers just to release them out with their tricks. Zee TV Sare Gama Pa Team is also included in this mission. But one things is clear and we’re happy that all the world has recognised and accepted the talent of Pakistani singers.
Bring somebody from Indian contestants who can sing perfect in sur like Amanat does.
Bring somebody from Indian contestants who can know about the classical sangeet like Mussarat knows.
Bring somebody from Indian contestants who can perform like Junaid performs.
ANEEK deserves to win this contest instead of all the distractions love,pyar,stripping clothes and all bakwaas he has shown tremendous concentration and dedication to his singing.
He is the most talented singer in the show and treats every song on its merit . He has all the material to become a sucessful playback singer .
I have two observations here :
-MAULI tries to turn each song into an item song ..it would be fun to watch if she attempts an emotional song …
-MUSSARAT turns each song into a classical one with lots of vocal modulations which are sometimes not necessary ….like in hip hop song…

Man Aneek is a cheaper version of Sonu, what new are you getting in him, he is a very good singer no doubt but his voice is soo identical to Sonu that i really doubt that he can survive , in 2005 vinit was the same case exactly same, he was also the pet of HR like Aneek is , he was ditto sonu like Aneek is and look where he is no where, I dont want to comment on Mauli, but Mussarat i agree to you to some extent , but the prob is he singing bad songs which are HR’s songs , check all those songs which he sung of NFAK sahab and sukhwinder all those were best of the season.

i read recent diet of bhappi.Everyday morning for breakfast alone he eats-hold ur breath-
Poha,Eggs,Toast with butter & jam,large bowl of Cornflex,Milk,Juice & fruits.
reading this i am bursting.Now after eating such breakfast ,bhappi goes to sleep on the set( behind his dark glasses) when others r singing & wakes up only when Mauli croaks & screams that is why he is covinced that only Maulimata can sing & rest of them don’t!That is why all the time he talks about lower notes-that means-u don’t scream so how am i going to wake up & listen to u!The proof is that if u watch salman’s show where Mauli sang no entry song & then went to take blessings of bhappi,she touched his tummy &Salman burst out laughing & said that he had never seen any oone touching anyone’s Stomach to get the blessings.So Maulimata also knows the secret of her success,bhappi’s Tummy!!!This part was cut for us here i guess but u can see it on You Tube.
