Thank God Mauli performed first…at least we can enjoy the rest of the show…NOw what people will say about her singing (not performance)?…now this is her genre song (ITEM SONG) but still she couldn’t reach up to the mark…God say us from Mauli and her horrifying singing…

Why did ID ask Paki singers whether they denied singing Indian patriotic songs, or whoever asked them was totally incorrect. Paki singers were representing paksitan and had complete right to choose their own song.
Junaid, Mussarat, Amanat are all good singers and they would be successful even without this show. They should quit saregama and go back. This will break saregamapa’s back completely. Without these guys ,this show will bcom a circus.
In part 4 mussarat said “muqabla to main nahin karna chahraha tha” and shekhar interrupted him.
Definitely this is a re-recorded program. I think paki singers knew very well b4 that they were in trishanku and maybe they all told saregama that they want to quit this show.
I think what ID said was not why pak singers did not sing indian songs . Rather he ASKED if pak singers REFUSED to sing Indian songs. There is difference between two.
My feeling is that in India they must be getting to know various rumours ( as you could tell from the face of pak singers that they knew what is going to happen- and also one of them mentioned they were listening in TVs something that they refused to sing indian songs). i think ID asked this from them knowing they will say NO- just to clarify with people. You can not stand against mob- he gave three to clarify in front of mob so that they can get chance to get votes.
Now question whether they needed to clarify to mob- can not be answered easily. I think More than half if India wanted to win VINIT when Debojit won with more votes. So few things, you can not argue with but you can try to change in timely fashion. which all three pak singers were given a chance.
We all know that people from India constitue more than 79-80 percent of voters but still till now- all three pak singers were in while abijit, joy, apurva, rimi, nirupama left. This shows people love music. they just get little emotional by rumours. I am pretty sure next time this will not happen. not exlusively pak singers will be in bottom three because same people forget as they are emotionla. so simetimes same quallities help sometimes same act adversely but what happened on saregamapa stage ( that is decision not to eliminate anyone) would not have happened at any other stage in any other country.
So please leave this India-pak war and stop behaving like those people whom we are criticizing.

I think that even if one Pakistani gets thrown out due to racism the remaining two should go back as well cos they wouldn’t do justice to them as well. Even if they will reach top 3 or 2 they will be throwm out at that time due to so called patriotism by Indians. Mauli sings horribly and got the least points last time by judges as well so if they decide episode by episode howcome she is safe. Give her and Amanat and Mussarat same song and then u can see her real caliber. All three Pakistani’s are being treated as culprits and they are always explaining and trying to defend. Moreover, all Pakistani’s should stop watchin Sa Re Ga Ma after this humiliating act. Indians here in Canada claim that it is there right to live according to their culture i.e. wear clothes they used to wear backhome, speak Punjabi,Celebrate their own way and they did Celebrate Indepandance Day here in Toronto and all over Canada so why can’t Pakistani’s celebrate their Indepandance Day their own way in India. They never refused to sing Indian Patriotic songs in the first place but even if they did want to sing Pakistani Songs that should have been fine with India. So India shouldnot claim to be the biggest democratic country of the world. They way they are living here in Canada and enjoying benefits they can never let Muslims and Pakistani’s have them in India. Plz change your attitude India.

Remove the public voting system. It is unfair. Indians comprise of almost 90% of voters and many will vote based on a singers nationality or region and not on his singing ability.
Bring back the old format of saregama.

i completely disagree with the point tht the 3 pak singers came in the bottom 3 bcoz of their song selection.
if junaid is in the bottom 3 then even aneek shud be there as both sang songs from the same film(border).
and wat problem will international voters hav with the pak singers?
even if we consider tht Indians did not vote 4 Pak singers, v cannot deny the fact tht jnaid has been #1 in intrnational voting 4 the past 2 weeks.
evn if indians do not vote 4 the paks, they cannot all of a sudden cum 2 the bottom 3 and tht 2 all of them together.

1. If the public voting system is removed, then the singers would not be as popular as the public would not really know them, and many people wouldn’t support their favourite contestants as much as they would if there was public voting because even if they support them, it would not make a difference to whether they are on the show or not. At least now with the public voting system they are actually getting some support and being noticed by the general public as well, even though they might be in the Trishanku when they do not deserve to be. Also, even if they leave the show based on public voting, they will still be in people’s hearts. Sometimes the real winner is not the one that gets the trophy. It is the one that manages to appeal to everyone through his singing, and only that person will be successful in his/her career. Example: Shekhar from Vishal-Shekhar. He did not win the show, but he is one of the most successful music directors today.
2. I noticed that the Anonymous Comments feature has been disabled. This is really great as now people will think twice before using vulgar language. Thanks!
3. At this point in the show, there is a debate/controversy surrounding almost each contestant - in particular, Mauli. I would like to advise her to just ignore all the vulgarities directed at not only her singing, but also her looks and her family. Focus on your singing and you will achieve lots. Good luck to not only you but to all the other contestants!
Aneek, Poonam and Amanat are the only ones who are ready for playback singing…The rest need much more work…Mauli and Harpreet cannot become playback singers but pop singers…

I dont think any of the 3 Pakistan people should go out because they are much beter than some of the others. Also people should not vote after listening to a stupid rumor but should vote for them because of their singing. The 3 of them had a right to sing pakistani songs because they were celebrating independance day for their country aswell so they had full right to sing those songs. All i can say is Junaid, Amanat and Mussarat you are all amazing singers and there is no need to worry because there are some people in the world who dont listen to rumors and support you all.

I respect your feelings….but at the same time I would request you not to call them back in Pakistan. Amanat and Junaid they are already singing for the music directors from India. So they are successful, I am sure Mussarat will be called for singing by someone sooner or later.
I think this has happened to raise the TRP of the show. As many people here said 90% voters are from India so believe me so far Indians only voted them apart from Pakistanis from Dubai and overseas etc. So its not that Indians hate Pakistanis…”Aam log siyasat nahi manti…music hi samjhti hain. aman chati hain…personal favourites sabke hote hain..lekin yakin mano Amanat, Junaid and Mussarat ..they are liked by most Indians.
Watch the next episode.and I think everything will be fine….by God grace….

Reality shows anyways are over-rated, but I’ve always been a fan of Sa Re Ga Ma and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa for maintaining the sanctity of music.
It is really sad to see that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has resorted to cheap old tricks to create hype and drama to boost their TRPs.
When the Independence Day episode was played they said that the theme is to celebrate the Indian and Pakistani Independence Day. So, how come now they can suddenly switch gears and say that Junaid, Amanat and Mussarat didn’t want to sing Indian patriotic songs.
Too many inconsistencies, its just an act to boost their ratings and viewership and create hype.
What I fail to understand is that how these channels can believe that they can fool our intelligence by creating this drama.
Indian people are good but Zee TV are bound to obey the top finincer and every one should understand that at this level performance are being judge on regional basis and many other factors( I don’t want to disclose) not only singing. You have an example of Mauli When Ashaji rate gave her negativly then she sang same previous song(Mayya-mayya)..
So don’t worry.. If you out today, they you all(3) should not perform at all. It’s a diplomatic game not show.
Do not disregard….i respect Sa Re Ga Ma Pa the effort of Indo-Pak Friendship; But the long term root of biases …it will take time. Zee TV should stop this melodramas of let all participant cry ,,just watch if you recorded the show. Or watch DVD when this melodrama was going on producer made all participants crying like they lost their life (It was exaggerated) and three “Trishanku’s facial gestures …look again care fully …any one can say (Not a drop of tears) not melodrama purely drama to speak words …all were crying heartfelty and three were speaking the word of emotional blackmailing as it was clearly seen by gestures like …”How they make others cry …and making FOOL with innocent face and innocent voice..…watch it again with minute observation.

I do not know whether they REFUSED to sing Indian Patriotic Song or not ….but as this issue aroused……Come on and let all three participants to sing Indian Patriotic song and let them show some friendship for India and give them a Chance to WIN Indian Patriotic People. We all knew it already, but still it was heartbreaking to see Junaid, Amanat and Musarrat in trishanku.
Junaid looked very depressed in his performance too. I hope he gets some counselling and jumps back on track by the next show. I missed his usual energy. It was heartbreaking when he said he misses his home.
Harpreet was good today. He made me laugh. Very nice work
I hope the public will vote for him.
Raja - More air time he gets, more chances he will be our next Pradhan mantri
It was funny when Vishal cut him off during his speech. Kind of rudely too. Raja does come off as a cheezy vote seeker. But hey he is singing amazingly well too. So whats my problem !
Aneek - he was really cute the way he put his foot in mouth today
when he asked for votes. But that shows the simple and genuine nature of a person. I like him better than Raja just for this reason. Flawless singing as always.
Amanat was super again today. Bless him. He is my fav in this show. Very happy to know he, Junaid and Poonam are already recording songs for movies.
Sumedha was good today as well. Again not mindblowing. Again, she got away in this Mouli/Pak controversy.
Mouli - Everyone knows Mouli was below standard last week, even KAPIL DEV said so. Kapil who admitted not having any great knowledge of music, said she sang very badly. Mouli herself admitted she was bad. The judges gave her 7s and an all time low of 5 even. What more proof do we want that it was bad show by her. And she got voted No.1 in intl. votes !!
Somehow I have lost interest in this show in the past week. More than singing talent show, this is more like PR talent show.
Whats the use of watching and voting if there is no corelation between performances and votes. I am sure the contestants are feeling the same way too. Why should they sing their lungs out to impress anyone??? There is no guarantee that if they sing well they’ll get votes. Instead they all should practice public speeking.
All you need to win this show is to have been born in a strategic geographical area !!

It does look like a publicity stunt by Zee. First of all, so what if the Pak guys refused to sing indian patriotic songs? It is 100% acceptable. Moreover, as many have pointed out, Junaid DID sing an Indian song. And Amanat sang a Pak song without changing the words. So both ways it has been ok. Pak singinig Indian song, Pak singing Pak song IN India.
Like I’ve said before, there is no corelation between votes and performances in srgmp.
BTW, patriotism is just another name for love. You have a country instead of a person on the receiving end. Thats all. Just like how a love song is universal, you and I can apply any love song to our lives, a patriotic song is applicable to any nation too. Dont you agree???
We all love the Manna Dey song “Aye mere pyare watan” and I know in our school, college shows, we sing this song a lot.. c’mon tell me is this song an Indian patriotic song?? Nope. It is sung for Afghanistan. But the words are so beautiful, and Manna Dey has sung it with so much passion.
If Zee has purposely staged this whole thing for TRP reasons, all I can say is, this is an all time low grade stunt by any TV channel in the world.

Its totally Zee TV’s fault cos ‘it is the Rajiv Arora (creative head of saregamapa) who has leaked this wrong information to MID-Day …How can he pass this information and said that all pakistani singers refused to sing Indian Patriotic song when at the first place how can Zee expect them to sing Indian Patriotic song when you are gonna celebrate ‘India Pakistan Independance DAy’ together….
Its alllll scripted drama to fool U and to get maximum votes and TRP..I have really stopped voting for this show as it seems they are not counting our votes and our votes are going to be in vain….

Sorry yaar, I didnt mean to leave out Poonam on purpose.. I just commented on the ones that had some drama around them. Poonam is by far most deserving candidate for top 3 if music is the deciding factor. It is obvious that she is a complete singer like Amanat.
Amanat, Aneek and Poonam are my choices for top three. I dont mind any of these 3 winning the title.
But I doubt if public will vote for these three over the louder Raja or Mouli.

I agree completely, Amanat, Aneek and Poonam are my favorites also. If Mussarat was more consistent I would put him in that list also. I agree with a what a lot of others have said that SRGMP should go back to the days of old where professional singers were the ones who judged the competition. This new style brought about by Indian Idol has ruined the beauty of SRGMP. SAD.
Harpreet found a genre which is preferred by the judges.. but i hope he will leave after mauli !

I agree with $hash and senty above - i beleive its a publicity stunt. The votes are completely rigged in this competition - just when everybody in this forum is hating mauli she gets the top votes or top international votes. I think she is a good entertainer and sings some genres of songs well but she’s definetly not a good “Singer”. I feel i can sing some better than her
But all said and done - so far i used to feel very happy that i never see pakistanis or indians saying bad about each other or being biased. Always i felt indinan listeners atleaast on this forum were appreciating paki singers. But zee created this divide and its so bad for those three young guys who were invited to come sing in india and now they are made to stand like this on the stage as you are not like us… i mean thats very humilitaing for them.. poor them.. i felt really sad how they were standing like that… first they put them at a disadvantage - they knew patriortic songs will create some friction between india and pakistni audience and now this… i think cheap stunt by zee saregamapa and they are responsible for whatever hatred was created…
After I read AYESHA from TORONTO,Canada…I couldnt stop writing… I have no idea what she is talkinga about. Where did the DEMOCRACY part came in a TV show. For her kind information I want to let her know that there are more MUSLIMS live in INDIA than Islamic nation of PAKISTAN. Till last month we had a MUSLIM President and even now we have a minority SIKH Prime misinster. In the show ID just asked “did any body object to sing Indian patriotic songs” to clarify the news/gossip in the media that they did. I really like Amanat a lot. Plz do remember this is a Public VOTING system. I have only one question. India votes for all irrespective of nationality. But does Pakistan vote for any Indians? Like Raja, Aneek or Poonam? probably does. but I hardly find anyone from Pakistan writes a single word of appreciation from them. They always talk about Amanat, Musarrat or Junaid. We have other good singers too here in India. If you guys appreciate the Indian singers too (unless you think they are junk, which is not possible), then we, Indians feel better. The problem is with distribution of votes. While fans of music try save spread their votes around others only vote multiple times for one person. Now I will not take names, but I do not believe that the best singers will make it to the finals. In my opinion it should be Amanat, Aneek and Poonam. But I am afraid that it might be Raja, Aneek and Mauli. Now I do not have anything agains Raja and Mauli personally but in my opinion they are not on the same level as my favorites, but what can you do.

I hate the judges, idiots all of them how do you give Mauli perfect 10′ and Mussarat doesn’t get 10’s. Mauli does one decent song after many bad songs and all of a sudden you again have all your nose so far up her A$$ that its not even fair for the others to compete.
Why is it that everyone has to prove themselves over and over, while all Mauli has to do is sing one decent song every 4-5 weeks, I don’t get it.
Also what is with the Gujju politics. Why is Mauli being asked to talk more in gujarati, WHO CARES WHERE SOMEONE IS FROM.
I was a die hard fan of SRGMP, but now I am going to stop watching. They need real judges, not these idiot johnny come lately’s.
Both Indians and Pakistanis dont forget one thing.. no matter whos independence day song we sing, it was INDEPENDENCE FROM THE BRITS right ?? Whats the difference then? Both of us together fought for independence from a common enemy. C’mon guys if Bhagat Singh said “Mera rang de basanti chola” he was representing both India and Pak when he said those famous words didnt he ?? That phrase is applicable to both countries now.
Regarding the present mess, it could be a noutanki by Zee or it could be a genuine gesture gone bad.. we can argue about it till end of time.. but janta’s emotions are stirred up and I hope very soon things get back on track with this show and we get some good musical performances.
sid you always write the correct comments so heads of to you even i think that himesh suports aneek more than mussarat. when aneek was not in the competition he always thought of mussarat to be his best singer i am an indian i respect singing and do respect the show and the judges but what ever happened in this show was not good. go india go pakistan wake up and see you both are brothers from the same mother.
I love this saregamapa show & hav never missed any episode of this show.
This episode shows How Indian public hate us. This is the time Pakistani peoples have to change their mind too. Is their anything left? This time their is no any politician from india but the Public of India.
Amanat, mussarat and Junaid performed very nice. All in the bottem 3…(INDIPENDENCE DAY).
They may survive this time but after 2 or three episodes the same thing will happen again. Now the foolish men also can understand that none of the Pakistani singer will become a champion or runner up.
Judges read this situation and they are now prepared to control this all with their nagetive comments for these 3 singers. So they are never going to give to any of the Pak contestent 10 points so easily. Because if he eliminate in upcomming episode, it will create a big drama again.
So this show is no more.
Please You all three singers Come back To Pakistan.
this is completely absurd.. this was such a marvelous show where one could enjoy some very good performances from some very talented youngsters.. but the all of a sudden everything got messed up.
Firstly why is MAULI still in the show? her performances on independence day was the worst and still she gets a green light.
Points to be noted.. MAULI sand an Indian song.. She got a green light.. The 3 Pakistani guys sang their country’s song and they get yellow light.. Any coincidences here? Even the dumbest of person will see whats going on the show.
I think this is a total disgrace to the art of music.. This show was supposed to recognize an outstanding talent and give him/her the opportunity of a lifetime.. Only someone who really deserve to win should be in the last eight.. Instead what do we see.. MAULI.. because she sang an indian song..
To be sincere when i saw MAULI get the green light i already knew what was going to happen..(like many other people i believe).. This is such a disgrace for the country and especially anyone associated with the show who is doing nothing to make the show more fair and less biased..
I am not saying the three guys should win.. I just want someone who deserve to win to (well) WIN.. not a MAULI!!

I was very nervous when the show ended and really happy after watching the episode of Aug 18th. Great decision by Zee TV. If this was all made up for TRP, then Zee TV folks don’t know right way to do things.
But in any case, I am glad they did not eliminate any of the three Pakistani singers. It would have been big loss for SRGMP.
Btw, any one knows the song that was playing when in hungama (Aug. 17th) Amanat, Junaid and Poonam were sitting on couch at Shibu uncle’s recording studio, there’s background music playing of a song. And again it played when they were leaving the studio place. What song was that? Thanks in advance to anyone who can tell me the song.
Disappointed in Aneek’s performance. Not that he sang bad but because what he sang today showed me that he can’t handle hard songs. That was not a kawali song. He picked a non kawali song because he knew he couldn’t handle kawali. He is not in my top list anymore. It shows that he doesn’t have talent to sing kawali songs. Was scared so he decided to sing a song that may sound like it. It was more of a pop song that he sang. For people who think he is up to the par need to pay attention to details.
I thought so too that Aneek picked a qawwali-like song.. but not an authentic qawwali. But he did did sing well.
Sumedha - she sounded so nasal !! And why does no one comment that she always picks Ashaji’s songs ??!!?? Anyways give her credit .. she was very good and very good control of the song.
Mouli - It was better on the Mouli scale. Dont compare with others. I think Shubha Mudgal’s voice is ideal for Mouli. I hated the ‘Gujarati’ appeal by the judges again.
Raja - No way dude. He is just not doing it for me… He was so scratchy and lost control in high pitches and at those times he let the chorus handle the load… why is no one noticing that ???? I feel very lonely in this world
Very well he got all 10s. Good for him.
Musarrat - I’m speechless. He gets my vote. Period.
Poonam - Totally lost it today. Bad song selection or what I dont know.. she should have chosen “Kajra mohabbat wala” or some catchy song.
Amanat - He is really cute
My favorite.. He kept my faith. I loved his ada and song totally.
Harpreet - Wow .. he is getting ready for bit time. I still dont get the vibes from his songs.. but certainly did very well in the qawwali.
Junaid - He was awesome today. Dont know why he was picked on again by the gurus. the antara was so good. Dont think Harpreet or Raja could do that.. Later, Junaid was looking lost and hopeless ! I hope he is not giving up !! I am voting for Junaid as well. He should to be around for some more time.
Overall it was a very good episode. its going to be difficult to see anyone going out next week.
It is so visible that Musarrat and Junaid have zero support from their gurus. I think WE have to support them. Not because of any sympathy, but they are deserving.

I feel bad for the Paki singers. They are performing so well but noone seems to appreciate them especially to Mussarat and Junaid. My vote would go to them but I know it wouldn’t make much difference. I hope these guys become successful in life.
As for Saregama, I have lost all respect for this show. Previous format of Saregama was so much better and decent in taste.If any of these paki guys go b4 Mauli then thats it, I am not watching this show anymore. I would care less who wins afterwards.

1. if it was a stunt for popularity then sorry to say it is quite offensive as it hurt lot of people specailay Pakistani
2. if the channel wants Pak ppl out of show then it is a qood way for them to do so as there are no proofs avaible to general public whats going on back stage (all results are known beforehand thats why Mr. ID request to have result announcement lator then participation’s performances)
3. i agree with the point that from here onward maha grus should make decison not people
4.MOST IMPORTANTLY why the chanel bring this independence day theme they must have not done this becoz if it supposed to be multi national competiotn then such sensitive issues must not be touched and even touched then must be handled with care and all nationalites should be allowed to sing there patriotic sngs how you can think with due respect to Mr. ID that they denied to sing indian patriotc songs its obvious no person having love for his country wil do so . can i aspect from you to compose a patriotic song for pakistan to prove our friendship.

There is a lot of talent of the show both from India and Pakistan.
Aamanat- He sings well all the time.
Aneek- He lost my vote after today’s performance-I expected a lot more from him. He is taking an easy way and Hamesh is supporting him.
Raja- I like his voice
Mussarat- I personally don’t believe anyone can compete on his level. In all honesty the kind of songs he sings leaves everyone in dust.
Sumedha- very unique voice. She has talent but she needs to gain confidence. I blame the gurus for that. They hype mauli so much while leaving her feel left out.
Poonam- She has power in her voice. I personally like listening to her. She needs to stay in competetion.
Herpeet- is a politician. He gets sympathy vote and that’s how he is still there.
Mauli-ahhhhhhhhh sigh
Junaid- good singer- doesn’t get appreciated. Loosing confidence.

i liked the quwwali episode of SRGMP but i dunno y the judges were against junaid. he sang pretty well.
actually i did not find raja very impressive. i felt his voice got cracked each time he went a bit high.iv noticed this in almost all his songs.
raja is the most over-rated singer in SRGMP.
i also fell himesh is a bit too partial towards aneek.

I hope Junaid fans go full force all out this week to support him. He needs us now more than ever. Somehow he needs to get back in the game. He has been singing very well, but not being appreciated by the gurus for some reason.. More than low votes, I’m sure this is lowering his confidence.

There are some truths of this show which I would like to highlight:
1.All of the guys in this forum says that the Gurus suck. Well we fail to realise that all of the Guru’s sitting there are very successful in their fields and they dont need to have this “sucking attitude”.
2. Many times this has happened in SRGMP this season, if Mussarat sings a song very nicely Amanat comes out with praises for him, same if Amanat sings a good song Mussarat comes out with praises for him. But have we seen ANY of them praising either Raja or any other indian singer, inspite of their extraordinary performances. Why? Just think.
3. People who say the public does not have a good music sense and they dont vote for the best singer(most technically correct singer). We need to understand here that its not always a technically correct singer who seems be the best singer the best singer of any competition is the singer who can well connect to the audience. There is always a possibility that a singer singing sad song which is technically correct will seem to be boring to audience.
4. Whatever result we got after the independence episode, we would have got similar result in any country. There was nothing wrong, since in invoked patriotic vibes in public. If this competition were to be held in say Pakistan, then also voting would have been in favour of Pak singers.
5. As per voting numbers, Junaid is the highest international vote getter, however most of the time it is Amanat and Mussarat who are safe. Who is saving them, I think that is obvious. So always the voting is not happening according to nationality of singers.
TALK ABOUT UNFAIRNESS IN VOTING RESULTS- THEY WILL ADD RESULTS FROM THIS WEEK AND LAST WEEK. LAST WEEK SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN COUNTED BECAUSE THAT WOULD JUST MEAN THAT ONE OF THE PAKI IS GONE. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN NEW VOTING. BUT ANYHOW, ONE PAKI IS GONE NEXT WEEK. MOST LIKELY JUNAID. SORRY TO SPOIL THE FUN BUT JUNAID IS GONE NEXT WEEK.
