If I were to vote for the most genuinely friendly and sweet smile on this show, no question – my vote will go for Mouli. She also comes accross as most graceful in appreciating her opponents’ performances. I really like her for that. I am not saying this with any sarcasm.. Her personality overpowers a listener who is “watching” the show rather than one who is “listening”.
So the argument on Mouli is between Mauli “watchers” Vs Mouli “listeners”.
But the current issue discussed in this forum is not even about Mouli.
“Zee, are you even counting OUR votes cast via rediff website ?? If so, can you please explain why the voting site has misleading info and is still open when the contest is closed the week”.
Favorism is evident on the stage :
When many slips of one contestant are pardoned so graciosuly, whereas another one is picked on constantly for very negligible or NO mistakes, a pattern emerges.
As soon as last week’s episode concluded, the posts were flooding with hints that Junaid will be “sacrificed”. Not because he sang badly, but because “Hit it” has 3 left and we could do math.
(So the Junaid community rallied to save him and voted via the rediff (??) site.)
More than Mouli, I thought Raja did not do as per his usual standard last week… I certainly did not feel any divinity in his song. His voice was cracking up in “hi notes” (Bappida aap zara dyan de). He was unnecessarily hyped by the gurus.
Aneek was adviced to “learn from Raja how to be a good human being!!” Wonder how Aneek stayed quite after that.
When Aneek said he learnt a lot from others as well like Amanat, Musarrat and that it was Musarrat’s Birthday today, I expected a little bit more than silence from the Gurus. How about a Happy BDay wish maybe.
Looks like Raja should have a couple of sittings with Himeshji.
Coming to the Mouli issue – When Mouli is favoured over some other deserving “singers” and if Zee has a hand in deciding (see above) who stays and who goes, it makes a fool out of anyone who is spending time watiching and voting for their best singer. Its nothing personal against Mouli. But Zee should be able to let her go to salvage the credibility of this show.
Junaid is the last straw. The camel was beginning to get overloaded from the time of Shreshta, followed by “parde mein rehne do”, Swades, an underserving #1 for “mast” (over Musarrat’s all time srgmp #1 “Sanware”) etc etc.
If you want to get true public opinion on Mouli’s song, ask Kapil Dev.

All the comments mentioned so far indeed makes us believe if it is a Z plot of retaining India + Pak + Overseas. If any of us can indeed write to Z director and make him realize the price he is paying for retaining Mauli.. Well it could even be coz of so called Aditya + Mauli’s so called rumored affair.

And Junaid definitely does not deserve to go out if not any other performers atleast Mauli.

I can’t help but think this was no surprise for Junaid either:
1. Shekhar told Junaid he had ‘nothing to worry about since they were anyways going to do an album together’. This was last week when Junaid got to know he was a Trishanku. Remember on plenty of occasions judges have expressed hope for the participant not getting red? What happened this time?? Why would you talk of POST-SRGMP PLANS unless you KNEW Junaid was going to be out soon?? That’s the kind of comment I’d expect him to make upon someone’s elimination, like they did for Joy (“you’ve got our phone nos. etc.”)
Plenty of people on this show have had offers from the industry…none of the judges have used them as consolation in the past. Why now?
2. In the Hungama episode, Harpreet says all of them will have to get eliminated one by one. “Next week, who knows, it could be either Junaid or me.”
WHO SAYS THAT FOR A FELLOW CONTESTANT unless they KNOW that’s what’s going to happen??? Like my Mom would say, why “munh se nikalo-fy kisi aur ka bura?”
Maybe Junaid was upset at the idea of just….leaving? I would be very emotional, if I were him. That’s assuming the whole I-Day drama was staged and the participants were clued in on it, so no reason to feel bad for being wrongly-accused Pakistanis.

The way saregamapa is heading towards it seems to be the hoirrible show because good singers are being eliminated and rubbish singers are yet there.How can we be sure that singers are eliminated by public voting and not by judges will can they prove it,Because we dont have any means to find out how many votes contestants are getting.
This show many years ago stopped being in the business of finding best Singing talent. Hence chill out guys don’t take it to heart, those who are really good will do well (irrespective of results in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa)
One of my family members won the show long time ago and being from a singers family I can say this for sure.
These days the singers choose the song, those days the judges used to give a song.
On top of that the judges used to give Rag name (And the singer could choose the song – in that rag). Wonder if the singers of today’s SaReGaMaPa would be able to understand the link .
Anyways, watch the show (For the good performances) and forget the result
The show is turing out to be like Match fixing game everything is decided before voting ends.Shame on all the SAREGAMAPA members for fooling the people by telling them contestant will be choseen on basis of public voting.Infact it seems to be tha the show is running as per their wish

They ae like bookies who do match fixing dont you thtink they should also be arrested for two reaasons one for fooling the people and secondly for deciding themselves who will advance to the next round.It is their dictatorship who are they to decide unless the voting is completed.This is just rediculess.
I think now 50% result should be in judge’s hand and 50% in public hand becoz some public are voting on past performance which is wrong. And i think saregamapa community should take care of it and work on it.

Well junaid is out. To be honest i’m not that surpised as judges already started to inject in our minds. But i think he could have gone but not this week but the next or so. He did not deserve this weeks elimination.
Network makes money by boosting the rating. In order for them to boost votes they have to create dramatic episodes and do what will give them the best rating. The ohhhh ahhhhhhhh Noooo I didn’t expect that creates the best advertisement for the network. This is how it is everywhere. The whole show is planned before hand and they just follow the steps to complete it. Welcome to the corporate world. Hello! One week Junaid has most votes in International voting and 2nd week Mauli has it. This is to create the ohhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhs I talked about. So people just need to be quite and watch the show because it’s just entertainment. BTW the more votes the network gets higher premium it gets from its advertisements. And this is why they create dramas of ohhh ah No!

This whole thing looks planned to me. Seems like final 3 will be mauli (overseas), raja (india) and amanat (pakistan). then the final position will be 1. Raja 2. Amanat 3. Mauli
How sad. From now on i’m only going to watch the show for performances, and not care about results at all.
As for me, I think that the winner should be decided between Raja, Amanat and Poonam.

I truly agree with you. But it would be wonderful if the public thinks in the same manner. Anyways cannot help mate. We should reconsider our list. I dont think so mauli is going so early now. There will be some other poor victim now next week but not mauli.But i sincerely hope its MAULI.
I have lost faith in the votingand results. I think everything is preplanned and Mauli has really really used some resources to stay in the show. I am 100% sure.

How come no one notices any flaws in Raja and Aneek’s performances. In my view, they have made enough mistakes but the judges are makin us believe they were perfect.
My order of Elimination would be as follows:

Raja: coz he has been ridin on public emotions and judges partiality. Raja makes many mistakes in his singing. He mixes up lyrics and noone catches it.
Aneek: Same case as Raja. He is being hyped as next Sonu. Its a disgrace to Sonu to call Aneek as Sonu. Sonu is a strong classically trained singer. Aneek picks easy songs. He is yet to prove himself in classical songs arena.
Mussarat: Is second last coz he got a great mesmerizing voice and he sings NFAK songs very well. He has proven that he can sing difficult songs,classical songs,sufi songs and rock songs(he is more versatile than ppl think).
Amanat: is like SR tendulkar of saregama. Never makes mistakes,very low margin of error, good classical singer. Judges are having difficulty identifyin mistakes in any of his performance.

Anyway its not the end of world for JUNAID as he is already Internationally Receognised Singer with Sweet Looks and Smile and YES!! Unique Voice Quality + Talent..SO B +ive..One door close another opens..Cuz I be looking forward to see JUNAID in future as ROCKIING as ALWAYZZ!!

Personally, the judges shouldn’t have even said that about Mouli.. Since they did, they most definitely should have said that about Junaid. How can they support a cracking voice over a classical voice.

I seriously think that ZEE TV has all of this preplanned. The audience is just bhade-ka-tattu-to-do-khel or rather the money-wasters. I am very glad I do not vote and won’t vote ever. I pray for the good singers’ progress in life. Any sane person who knows m of music knows who are worthy singers and they’d listen to them no matter what. And even if the good singers don’t get a big break, we have their SRGMP recordings to listen to. God bless the sincere and talented singers.
If JUNAID gts eliminated atleast before MAULI it should be disgrace for SAREGAMAPA bcause after organising such a show if they themselves dont keep talented sngers for the final then what the hell is the purpose for this show.I dont think they desrve to organise such kind of shows and they should’nt do the same in future

Hmmm, Why i was having this feeling that JUNAID will be eliminated?
Junaid Elimination: He has’nt been having enough support since he claimed to be Internationally on the top. Even after his consecutive 2nd week, he kind of lost his own mentors support (like VS said ‘learn from Harpreet etc.), Bappi has’nt been giving him full marks as we all know (even at certain point i began to feel there was something personal between Bappi and Junaid, the chemistry just was’nt right), HR & ID showing no interest in him at all, being extremely straight farward.
Was it jealousy or ZeeTV pressure to ignore him so that he simply don’t get noticed and people should’nt be voting for him (If voting factor is really their, which i think is just their as a formality). Since, viewer could easily see that other contestants (eg. Mauli) are getting alot more attention and praise than him, so why vote for him.
Clearence: No doubt, Harpreet made an amazing come back with his nice performances, but i guess this Independence Day Mess did leave alot of panic attack and emotional pressure on Junaid. He was already feeling stressed and even said to leave in peace.
Plus Point: The good part is, that he managed to impress almost all the mentors specially VS and big stars like Salman Khan way early.
I really believe his unique vocal tone, different singing style, relaxed personality, cool dude kind of behaviour, smart dress sense, rocker attitude and fearless stage appearence will take him all the way up.
I definitely be one of that crowd who will be first to buy the VS & Junaid’s collaboration.
Its hard to tell who’s going to be next (SINCE OUR VOTES DOESN’T COUNT).
But i would still like to see the top TALENTED 5’s as follows:
1. Amanat (flawless)
2. Raja (full of energy)
3. Mussarat (heart touching)
4. Poonam (Lata+Asha flavour)
5. Aneek (mini sonu)
Lets see what happens? ZeeTV SaReGaMaPa Show save your TRP? i guess its going to loose its viewers if people like ‘Mauli’ will be topping the International Votes.

Agree with most of your comments.
The bottom line is, Zee (and the judges) need to understand that today’s audience is much more sophisticated and savvy than they give us credit for. Even without knowing the entire ins and outs of music techincally, we can see when nonsensical and almost irrelevent comments / feedback is given by the judges, and strange voting patterns are reported for the episodes. We can also pick up when something seems to be rigged (especially with the amount of clues they leave behind).
There’s no point in involving the audience (or pretending to),if all you’re going to do is leave a bad taste in their mouth at the end of the day. This only pushes people to spend time watching other shows like Star Voice of India which has some very good singers. I had actually begun to like the judges of saregamapa but am starting to lose respect for them by the day.
On a musical level, there is no way you can justify the presence of contestents like Mauli, compared to someone like Junaid.
But I’m sure this will fall on deaf ears, even if it is heard.

This is probably the gayest-yes, GAYEST–thing thats happened on saregamapa so far. Do you really think that Junaid deserves to get our right now?? Or are we ‘voting’ incorrectly??
Does Junaid’s voice crack?

Let’s face it.
Of all those remaining in the competition now, their careers are already made. This industry requires 2 things, Name & contacts, which all have got from this show.
With Asha,Alka,Kavita,Sunidhi,Shreya,Chitra,Sonu,Shaan,Kunal,Sukwinder,Hariharan around. It will be a lot of hard work to get into quality playback singing songs. They may get a song or two, then its their luck.
Here is what I feel will happen
HR with his War with Sonu and his penchant for Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, will use Aneek & Musarrat for 10% of his songs. He generally croaks his own songs.
Bappi – With the name tags of Indian Britney Spears and Indian Shakira, will cut a few crap albums with Sumedha & Mauli.
VS will use Junaid as his voice fits their type of music.
Raja / Amanat / Poonam may get some work in Playback singing or albums. But what they will surely get is lot of tours that the existing singers carry out.
Poonam and Raja can certainly fill in for Lata /Asha & Sukhwinder songs in such shows. Amanat is already a superstar in Pakistan.
So all, Stop or abstain from voting,all we are doing is increasing Zee’s profits.

People who’re commenting here are just bursting their emotions which useless so I dont think so to add any comment just to see this comic show which is already preplanned by Zee team. We dont pretend anything now because we know that this is all rediculous, stupidness and fake things which is insult of true singer, young talent and it will really scared the young talent to come out with their talen in front of these shows. This is just to say to not add any more comment here and we’re just praying to God to end up this show ASAP.

well i dunt know why you all are behind mauli, just because she is full of confident and she has no stage fear and she sings item numbers really well!! sunidhi chauhan even sings item numbers and similar kind of songs but still she has her own fan club and survives in bollywood..you cant expect Kailash khair to sing hariharan songs, and vice-versa..so every one is king of his/her own league…and voting is acually open for two days only..saturday and sunday..frm monday morning it is not counted..and junaid sang few songs really well..like one frm fuzon album..tere bina..it was just marvelous but then he made many mistakes in lower and upper notes in other songs and even vishal shekhar and bappi always pointed tht out..and harpreet is continuously giving good performances so no way he is going out…and mauli sings really good when she is singing her kinda songs…she is great for sure..these all 9 ppl are great..no one is bad no one is good..all are equal but then day by day u gonna loose one..cant help it..only one will win..
and the one idiot said tht sumedha is bad…just watch 24th august’s show and then come back 2 me..the song frm sathiya sung by her is just not beatable by ne one…she set everything on fire..just wait and watch for today eve’s show and see sumedha’ song..u will regret for ur words..

Senty, I haven’t been watching the show for long enough to know, yaar. I do remember seeing some Bong woman from Canada. Now THAT is overseas (dictionary meaning: countries across the sea or ocean). Still, WHO USES THE WORD?
Regardless, if there were participants from lots of other Asian countries, would they have been clubbed with the India/Pakistan teams or the overseas team…?
That brings me to my next point. People – Zee as well as the audience – need to realize this isn’t a competition between countries or states or whatever. I know a lot of people here who think Mauli is freaking REPRESENTING the ABCD population, and that it’ll be a total SCORE for them if she keeps winning. In trademark ABCD style, they think this is something that’ll assert their Indian-ness or prove they’re more Indian than FOBs are. (Again, not advocating that you not vote for Mauli if you like her singing, but at least vote for the right reasons.)
You’d think this would be common sense to most people but looks like there’s a need to spell it out:
1. If one person from your region makes it to the finals, it doesn’t make your region “cooler” than it already is. It’s no reflection of the musical talent of your region, or of how much emphasis is laid on performing arts or Indian “values” or whatever else.
2. If nobody makes it, that doesn’t make your region any less cool either.
3. EVEN IF you’re from a region that scores high points on the criteria in #1 above, that doesn’t make YOU any cooler than you really are. If you’re a loser (on whatever scale), you’ll remain a loser. If you’re a stud, you’ll remain a stud regardless.
We all root for Team India in World Cup cricket, because they REPRESENT our nation. The competition is between COUNTRIES, not individuals. It’s not like the votes we put in for SRGMP count anyways, but even if they did, I think it’s time we put an end to the general regionalism and bias the voting trends reflect.

Please stop comparing Sunidhi Chauhan and Mauli. Sunidhi is a winner of Meri Awaz Suno judged by Lata Mangeshkar.
In addition, She can sing a very high scale ( “Ruki Ruki si Zindagi”) or low scale ( “Le Chale”). Her voice never croaks or creaks as Mauli’s.
Mauli could hardly manage to sing the song from Swades. Her Maiyya Maiyya was sung with all difficult alaaps cut. She Sung Asha’s songs, but sung it without concentrating on the “change in Leah” as Asha mentioned.
Mauli has been performing on stage in Houston for some time now, hence has no stage fear.
This is a singing competition and not “Fear Factor Show”. If she felt she was a better performer she should have gone for Indian Idol.
She is only one who has to beg her community audience for votes.
I am not surprised that one of the Pakistani ppl got voted in the bottom 3 because when the host said that the votes of the last and this week are going to be put togather that automatically put the 3 contestants at the bottom and all this happened becuase the newspaper published the wrong information. and if u watch that episode it mentions it. The votes should have been a fresh one with the truth in mind.

Why do you thinki voting is all fake? the instructions say
“Voting for the winner of each SA RE GA MA PA show is open only from Friday at 19:00 ET (16:00 PT) to the following Sunday at 23:30 ET (20:30 PT). Outside these times, your vote will not count”
So it is fair to expect the results on wednesday, as the voting lines close on Sunday. I don’t think we can vote all week long…..like some of you were thinking.
As far as Mouli is concerned, her independence day song was horrible. I feel the top 5 should be – Raja, Amanat, Sumedha, Aneek and Musarat/Poonam.

From what I heard they record the friday epiodes on monday and the saturday pisodes on wednesday (or maybe its tuesday and wednesday). Either way, votes after sunday im sure dont really count, unless it carries over to the next monday. when voting used to be free on zeetvusa it said from fri to sun, while on saregamapa.rediff.com it has teh whole fri to fri thing… either those votes just dont count or they just take whateers tehre on sunday night/monday and count them.

- Umm…the “instructions” keep changing so we’re not really sure they mean anything. Right now (at the time of posting this comment), the website says:
“Voting for this round is open from Friday August 24,10 PM and will close on Monday August 27, 8 AM. Votes submitted between Monday 8 AM and following Friday 10 PM, will be considered for the next round. However, if the contestant for whom you had voted during this period gets eliminated next Friday, then these votes for the participant will become redundant.”
I don’t remember seeing this disclaimer before, and I’m sure plenty of people on this forun wouldn’t have bothered to vote during the work week if they’d seen it either.
- The site allows you to vote with bogus email addresses. You can also send multiple SMSes from the same phone. Who are we kidding, really?
- Not ONCE on the show have they asked people to vote before end of day Sunday. I’m thinking this is just something they recently added to cover their a$$es about unfair eliminations. The same way as judges had been putting Junaid down so they could later say “Naah, he wasn’t doing well…”
- Post Sunday votes rolling over to next week has got to win the Ridiculous Rule crown. It is extremely unfair to the voted out contestant. Also makes the whole Trishanku theory mean squat….OMG, how come I didn’t think of this before?!! THIS is proof that they recently came up with the Sunday deadline thing IN ORDER TO cover their a$$es.
Because had this (the roll-over thing) been the rule all along, how could they ever eliminate anyone?? It makes no sense. If you’re only counting votes until Sunday night and eliminating people on the basis of that, the voters HAVE TO KNOW so they don’t waste their votes on the eliminated contestant and instead vote for someone ELSE who they think is deserving (and might end up in Trishanku).
I KNOW THE WHOLE VOTING-SHOTING (you rock, Senty) THING IS A FARCE. But once again, where is the public-facing b/s we need to be given as the audience?? Have they not even bothered to think this through…I mean COME ON guys!! *I* can pull off a better con job than this and you’re supposed to be pros!!

The best thing you can do is not vote, this will give them a big signal of how ripoff this whole ‘game show’ is! (not just srgmpa, but everyone).

Omg, thanks for bringing that voting matter up. I recently came back from india, and ofcourse i used to vote a lot for Junaid. Luckily it didnt get wasted, because he didnt get out. But for those in india who voted for him after monday or those who voted for any of the other eliminated contestant, that is just a waste of money. In zee tv earned that money! Zee srgmp is day by day started to look very preplanned. And what is the point of voting with sms, when u can do it free on the net. I dont think they even count the online voting.
Anyway, i am now not going to vote for anyone, because if the online voting is not getting counted, then it is just a waste of time. I am going to try to enjoy the rest of the show, but i hope the next elimination is fair. I dont want to see Amanat or Mussarat walk out of the show next time. I personally like all the three pakistani boy (and yeah i am an Indian). But but =) I will miss Junaid on the stage a lot, but what to do?

He has great voice. I think Mauli should be eliminated. She is just item song singer. She is using her “Western Styles and Western Dresses” to Lure judges and people while other can’t do that.
Look in the eyes of some of young judges while she is singing with “Open dress” how they look at her.
Sumedha is much better singer than Mauli.

I think sa re ga ma pa is a show based on surs and proper singing( as suggested by the name of the show itself) not on X Factors like performance,dancing and showing tantrums on the stage coz if so then it should fall in the same category of Indian Idol and other singing competions we have.
I hope by bringing the right person( best singer not a performer) on the top sa re ga ma pa will maintain its past glory.
It is best for them otherwise people will loose their interest soon.
All I can say is that the reasons for Gajendrra Singh (the original creator of SRGMP and now the person behind Star Voice of India)leaving zee TV are becoming abundantly clear by the day. I doubt that with this kind of strange judging and voting process, Zee will engange much audience the next time around.
I’m still with the good singers of the show and will continue to root for their success, but I will not waste my time on Zee after this one is over.
On a side note, for those listeners who have compared Mauli to Sunidhi Chauhan, I’m completely flabbergasted at your comparison!! Sunidhi has proven herself to be quite talented, with a very polished voice and range. Although I don’t have anything against Mauli (or her confidence on stage), but that confidence has to be backed up with something a little more solid than her mediocre singing. After all, when we listen to songs, we ‘listen’ not watch! I think the person she reminds me of most is Alisha Chinai, who was supposedly the ‘Indian Madonna’. A somewhat average singer of a particular ‘pop culture’ style, with limited range.
I just don’t see the justification for removing someone like Junaid before Mauli or Harpreet. And most of all, the recent comments from the judges are just not making sense. Either it’s really bad editing, or ‘daal mein kuch kaala hai’!!
SareGamaPaChallenge Show is a fake show. Dont watch it. We were the biggest fans of from last two years but now we dont have any interest in watching it with great interest. You people must be thinking if we dont like this then why we’re here….just to let you inform dear viewers.

HIMESH RESHAMMIYA NEEDS TO STOP THINKING THAT THIS CONTEST IS ALL ABOUT HIM.HE HAS NO RIGHT TO INSULT PARTICIPANTS AND MENTALLY TORTURE THEM.GOD WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM FOR HIS STUPID APPROACH TOWARDS ALL AROUND HIM .GET HIM OFF THE SHOW AND GIVE HIM A MIRROR TO LIVE WITH.ALL OTHER GURUS ARE GENUINE AND RESPECT THE CONTESTANTS ,HIMESH CANT GET OVER’I ,ME ,MYSELF’.STINKER.HE LEAVES A BAD TASTE IN THE MOUTH AND IS A SORE SIGHT.HE ALWAYS CREDITS WINNERS AS IF THEY DID NOT WIN FOR THEIR TALENT BUT BECAUSE OF SYMPATHY,HE SHOULD STOP HAVING THIS NEGATIVE ,SLIMY ATTITUDE TOWARDS DESERVING CANDIDATES.HE IS UGLY TO WATCH,HEAR AND UGLY AT HIS HEART,SELFISH,STUPID FOOL.JUST BECAUSE ALL THE RICKSHAWALLAS SAW HIS MOVIE AND HEAR HIS SONGS,DOES NOT MAKE HIM GOD IN FACT HE IS JUST THE OPPOSITE.DOG.
