Often, we assume that if someone wins the contest, his struggle ends. But that’s not true. Just winning a competition is not sufficient to get entry to Bollywood Music Industry. Debojit Saha, winner of Saregamapa Challenge 2005, being in the industry for more than year, is still struggling to get the proper break. In the recent interview Debojit highlighted on the real facts of Bollywood Music Industry.
“When I came to Mumbai to be part of the Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contest, I thought winning it would mean the end of my struggle. After winning the contest, I realised that the real struggle had just begun, for the Mumbai music industry is the last place in the world to welcome you with open arms. Survival of the fittest, as Darwin had theorised, is the unwritten law that rules this industry.
And harbour no doubts, when I say “survival”, I don’t mean a “flourishing” career, I mean just a toehold.
I am still fairly new to this industry. But I have managed to gather enough information to understand how it operates.
Like any other organised sector, the industry, too, has its own set of rules.
Competition defines this place. Fierce, ruthless competition. In fact, so fierce is the rat race that it is now beginning to tell on the artistes’ work.
When I talk about competition in the industry, I take into consideration both the newcomers, established and veteran artistes.
Apart from oodles of talent, one needs to be blessed with pots of luck to survive the acid test and make it big in the industry.
And like any other family, the music industry, too, is big and beautiful. But then again, like any other family, this industry is not free of faults and fallacies.
I am not saying this to court any controversy. That is the reality.
The industry is divided into groups and each group has its own set of artistes — from the music director and singer to the arranger and lyricist.
Favouritism rules the industry, but that does not mean one can make it big without any talent.
It is, of course, always good to have a godfather. Otherwise, the way to the top is a rather steep one.
My advice to anybody who wants to be part of this industry is — first, make Mumbai your home.
And then begin the journey for a chance to prove your mettle. Once that is done, hectic lobbying is needed and the struggle never ends. Perhaps, this competition is also good in a way. Since only the best survive, the work done is also of the best quality.
I feel proud to be a part of the competition and I firmly believe in one mantra, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (the winner is the king).

Yesterday the show came to a standstill as there was an issue of all Pakistani singers being in Bottom 3.. Today the decision will be announced as to who is the eliminated contestant.. It was a very emotional episode - and today we all will be shown the result..So, just sit back and enjoy the ride
Continuation from previous episode:
The episode commences with the same issue.. The repeat of the issue that was taken during last episode is shown.. The same dialogues are shown again.. Amanat sayin that they have forgotten that they are there in some other countries and Juunaid’s statement.. And also saying that this is his family pointing to the contestants is shown.. Amanat says that this is our house and we dont think that this is a different house.. Amanat’s sher during the Independence day is shown.. Then Mussarat and Junaid’s sher is also shown..

aditya says - We wanted to bridge the gap.. We wanted both the country participants to sing their own respective Patriotic songs and celebrate Independence day together.. We want only friendship and no hatred feeling.. So, as even all the viewers (studio audience) want that there should be no elimination, they have decided that this week there will be no elimination.. He also adds that the votes are very precious and so this week’s votes will be carry forwarded for next week..
Group Performance:
Today’s theme is qawalli round and all contestants will sing qawalli songs.. They allo sing the song yeh ishq ishq hain ishq.. Each one of them sing one line.. They are having tabla, dhamroo and other instruments and playing them and singing..

Aditya announces that today the mehfiil will be started by Suron se ishq hain jisko, pubjab de puttar - Harpreet Deol
Harpreet Deol: sings - Vada tera Vada from dushman.. Today all the contestants are sitting on the stage and it is like mehfil.. Whos ever will sing, will come and sit in front and sing the song.. Mussarat is playing tabla, Raja is playing dhamroo..

Himesh comes on stage.. He asks the effort was seen in the performance right? The audience say - yes.. He says, the effort with which you have sang today, if you continue with the same effort - you can be the winner.. Now again the love story issue is brought up.. He asks Aneek to say that he loves her and that Amanat will sacrifice his love for him.. Aneek wants to say something, but Himesh stops him and says either you will say that you love her or dont say anything.. He says I love only Diya Mirza.. The scene where he proposed her is shown.. Himesh says he is very naughty and knows that public will not believe him.. But there is definitely a girl whom he loves and I will support him as me being his guru.. Sumedha is shown everytime he says this

HR - Did you throw the rose intentionally? No, it fell off the hand.. When you can love, then why dont you fear of telling out.. There is a big drama again regarding the same love story.. ID asks him to say - pyaar kiya toh darna kyaa.. Amanat says this and says - Jab pyaar hi nahin kiya toh kyun darna? Himesh asks him to tell out the love.. Ismailji says more than love, what is important is you have to make the world revolve like how the globe is revolving behind you.. you have to sing really well and get established

HR - sang very well.. you are one of the very good contestant here.. I will have to give 10..
VS - There are 6 guys here, and all can qualify for becoming a winner.. there are also girls who sing well..
Shekhar - Now that love matter has come, I would like to say is - when you are in love, you are obvious to sing well.. Himesh asks him to say to Vishal regarding this.. Vishal says the personal life has to be kept away from the stage (talliya) to give a respect to this stage.. Himesh says - the love feeling is so pure and it is like when you are in love, you perform much better with feelings.. Ismailji says Shekhar is agreeing to this because here it is love triangle but for him there are many who are behind him.. Today he got a call and said Yalgaar gharana is best.. I like your contestants.. But please give me shekhar’s number.. But then he refused to give and said i dont have it and I speak to him only on sets.. He then adds, we have two heroes here. Himesh is already established.. Shekhar is in verge of becoming an actor.. Shekhar says for me heros and heroihes are there in stage..

ID - according to me - everyone should have given 10.. She is singing different from her style.. Whenever they sing in different style, its always shown.. This is Lataji’s song and that is not Poonam’s style..
Himesh - the mistakes are seen everytime people sing different from their genre.. so, lets not consider that.. you sang very well..
