Today is another elimination episode where one contestant will have to leave the contest.. Tension is on air everywhere.. So, sit back and relax yourself and enjoy the ride
All the contestants along with Aditya sing a song.. Never heard this song.. It says something like – Hey chori zara nachke dikha.. Aditya welcomes all the viewers.. Till now there were 2 challengers in each gharana but this time unfortunately one contestant from anyone of the gharana will be eliminated..
This time total votes – 22+ lakh votes..
Aditya says – with same love and affection and crores of votes, the viewers made one jodi as winner in previous year.. The journey of Ujjaini and Aishwarya – the winners of EMET..
Their album is getting relased today.. And it is getting released on the stage of Saregamapa
Ujjaini says I was there in challenge 05 till top 7 and I was in Himesh gharana – so lets rock.. This album is called – Ek main aur ek tu.. Aditya calls all he mentors on stage.. Bappida releases the CD.. Few songs from the album is shown in the AV.. Himesh says – It happens that sometimes because of the votes few singers get eliminated, but that doesnot mean that they are not good singers.. All those who will be eliminated, neednot worry.. Their future is safe..

After their performance, Globe of fortune is rotated.. The first to get through is Amanat.. Aditya also announces that he is the number one challenger.. He gets the titan watch..
Ismailji thanks the audience.. Congratulates Amnanat.. He says Dont leave the hard work.. You have become number 1 for today but you have to be number 1 through out..
Aditya says not only the viewers, but also the TV stars have become the fans of these contestants..

Next to get through is Aneek.. Aditya says this time Aneek is in second position and Amanat has beaten him..

Deven Bhojani is a fan of Aneek and he asks him to sing the title song of Apne for his Apne..
Himesh says he is always inspired by Aneek for his dedication and feels that he also needs to bring that dedication.. says that dedication will be seen in his song too..
Himesh goes on stage and hugs Aneek and says this is a very difficult song and Aneek has sung very well.. Shekhar gives standing ovation.. Himesh says he has not sung the Anthra and so he would like to sing that anthra.. He sings those four lines of the anthra..
Shekhar says this is a mindblowing composition.. Himesh says whenever he listens this song he gets remembered of the bond of love that overseas people and people here in India have.. He remembers the overseas people who miss India and those people in India who miss those who are in overseas..
Shekhar’s comment for Aneek – I am not seeing you as number one in saregamapa but also number 1 in this industry..
Sumedha Karmahe from Josh Gharana –
Globe of fortune is rotated to fine the third contestant and that is Sumedha.. she gets the third position..
Kshitee is Sumedha’s fan.. she says I like your simplicity and you are as sweet as honey.. You are just a barbie dolll.. You are so beautiful.. She asks Sumedha to sing Neem Neem shehad shehad from yuva.. Sumedha sings the song..

He comes on stage.. He says for the past four week being number 1, how does it feel to be in number 4.. He says thanks to public as they have kept thim still in competition..
Rajashri Thakur is fan of Raja and she says there is one thing common about them and that is their names.. She is Rajashri Thakur and also that her father used to call her Raja.. she likes him because he sings from heart and also likes his smile a lot.. She requests him to sing Akhiyanu Chain from bandit Queen..

The Teen Bahuraniyaan are the fans of Mauli and they say – We are very impressed that she being brought up in America, still speaks very good Hindi and Gujarati.. The head of the house, ji kaka is her fan too and they have formed a small fan club of hers in their house..

All the contestantsd come and give him a hug.. Himesh says – if this was the final, he would have been the winner.. But somehow I feel that he will be eliminated.. My inner sense says that and Vishal bets with Himesh Mussarat will not be eliminated.. Vishal says – such a good singer he is.. Himesh says Harpreet is also a good singer.. Vishal – Harpreet is very good and constantly improving but the emotion that this guy brought, that Harpreet is lacking.. He says to Harpreet – even if you loose dont worry – you are loosing to such a good singer.. so, dont feel for that.. Ismailji asks can we break the rules?? Himesh says No, rules are rules and even if Mussarat is eliminated, he will be a super star and says he is from such a gharana which believes – log sunate jaayenge, hum jeet thee jaayenge..

Himesh says – One day or the other someone has to go and that does not mean that they become a bad singer.. They all are good.. There will be only two singers in final but that does not mean that the third one is less qualified.. So, dont worry, you all are good singers..
Vishal asks him to cheer up and says last week Junaid was out, this week you are out and suppose next week if Raja gets eliminated, it does not matter much as you all three are already winners for us.. We are there for you and we will definitely do something for you..
Harpreet says – Raja will not go, he will win.. And hugs Raja.. Poonam is crying and many others feel sad for this.. Now, thats the end of Harpreet’s journey in SRGMP

After Himani Kapoor’s debut album, now its turn of another success story of saregamapa. Aishwarya and Ujjaini, winners of Challenge 2006 Ek Main Ek Tu Contest launched their first album in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa this week. Like the contest, the name of the album is also titled Ek Main Ek Tu.
“The album has variety of songs – some have a Sufi touch, a few folk and rest are with an Indo-Western flavour. Overall, you can say that the theme of the album is romantic. I have sang a solo madhosh hua, which also a romantic number.” says an enthusiastic Aishwarya, “Satish-Ajay have composed three songs and Harpreet too. Further, Shibu –Pinto worked on the unplugged version of chu kar mere mann ko.”
Why such a delay in launching the album? “Actually HMV asked us to perform on a number of songs and then finalized seven. In the meantime, we have featured in many live performances with Uditji, Sunidhi and Shaan bhaiyya. Ujjaini and I used to get nervous at times but most of the times, the performance ended us a rocking one.”
And how was it performing on the Sa Re… stage after a long gap? “Well to be honest I was scared before going on stage this time. But when we performed le le meri jaan from our album the audience was so impressed that they started screaming once more and we did not disappoint them.”
The video of the album will go on air soon while the album launch episode will be telecast on Friday.

Laloo Prasad Yadav is the next guest on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 (1st September Episode). When it comes to entertainment, our Union Minister for Railways, Laloo Prasad Yadav does not like anything other than the desi stuff. So, before he accepted the offer of being a special guest on Zee’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, he made sure that all the participants would only wear Indian attire. Even the show’s theme, which was earlier a western one, had to be changed to an Indian theme on Laloo’s insistence.
The creative team of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa were quite apprehensive before approaching Laloo. They were wondering if he’d accept their offer. But, they were pleasantly surprised when the Laloo agreed to be a guest on the show. But, he had just one pre-condition. His public relation officer told the creative team that Laloo wants none of the female participants to wear western clothes.
As the team did not want to take any chances, they changed the show’s theme from western to Indian. All the participants, including anchor Aaditya Narayan and the judges, will wear traditional costumes.
Payaol Patel, creative director of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, confirms the news and says, “It was easy to approach Lalooji’s as his PRO is an avid watcher of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. As the episode’s theme is UP-Bihar, all the female participants will be wearing ghagra-cholis while the male participants, judges and anchor will be wearing dhoti and kurta. Getting the Union Minister for Railways as a guest on our show is a big achievement for us, so we are also transforming the set into a village.”
The security measures on the show have been made tighter for Laloo’s arrival. The security arrangements were already very high after Himesh Reshmamiya, who is a judge on the show, got threats from the underworld.
The creative team of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was really surprised when they realised Laloo Prasad Yadav’s popularity. “Everyone from the Pakistani participants, Amanat, Junaid, and Musarrat and Mouli from the US is a big fan of Lalooji. I guess he is one political personality who is popular across all age groups,” adds Payaol

As we were talking about the future of contestants of reality shows, here is a ray of hope. Himani Kapoor who was part of Saregamapa Challenge 2005 (winner in the female category), is going to release her first solo album..
Himani is currently putting the final touches on her debut solo album. Tentatively titled ‘Adhoori’, the album has a total of 8 tracks including the title track. The songs have been composed by debutant music director Harpreet Singh and music composer duo Rinku-Shanky. The album will be released by HMV Sa Re Ga Ma. Himani will soon be shooting the first music video of the album.

Pakistan’s Junaid Sheikh may have been eliminated from Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa but is confident that his singing career is all ready to take off. He is already working on his own album with Vishal-Shekhar, where he is composing and singing his own songs….
Speaking about his plans, Junaid says, “Right now I am in Mumbai and will start work on my album immediately. I will compose music as well as write the lyrics. That’s all I can say as of now.”
Junaid, who was a big hit with girls on the show, has already finished recoding the title song for the film Love.com, the music for which has been composed by Bappi Lahiri. “I have also finished recording for the film Bal Ganesha and for an album with Ashaji and Shankar,” adds Junaid.
Even at home, Junaid likes to experiment with his music. “I have installed a software which helps in music composing. Then once a friend was having some difficulty and asked me to sing for him. Doing such stuff only inspired me to get better.”
The singer reveals that he had to face stiff opposition from his family. “My father wanted me to join his business. That time even the circumstances were such that I thought I would not be able to make it as a singer. But thankfully Sa Re… happened.”
In Friday’s episode of Sa Re…, Junaid performed on the song woh pehli baar jab hum mile. Reliving his last few moments on the show, Junaid says, “After my elimination, everyone started crying and I had to tell them not to do so. The entire situation was totally opposite.”
And how many calls did he receive from girls? “So many that finally I had to switch off my phone,” he smiles.

Group Performance:

Ismailji says – I have Amanat and Bappida say – I have Mauli.. They all sing together Kiss me Baby song..
Then Hey Baby song is played in the background and every one dance and sing together..
Akshay says this is a great platform and most importantly I have seen lot of love here and also India and Pakistan flag is there together and this can be seen in very few stages.. I would say – it should be India with Pakistan and not India Vs Pakistan.. Thank Zee Tv for inviting him and wishes everyone luck.

Today is friday and elimination episode.. One among the nine participants will be leaving the stage today and this performance will be the last performance of theirs.. So, keep your fingers crossed and get along the ride
Today’s Theme – Romantic Songs Round
The show beings with Aditya and the contestants singing Salaam-e-ishq title song.. The stage is decorated with lots of haeart baloons.. In front of he globe there is a heart and every contestant comes from behind that heart.. First to come is Aditya,then follows Aneek, Amanat, Harpreet then all the contestants follow one by one.. They all are dancing and the stage is looking beautiful..
Aditya says today is faisla ka shukruvaar and before that these contestants will sing pyaar ishq and mohobbat ke songs..
This week we ave got 21+ lakh votes.. there is total of 42+lakh votes including the last week.. so, with this they will decide who will be out..
Format Change:
this week there will be no trishanku, no lights but there will be a globe of fortune where the faces of contestants will be shown and the globe will stop and show one face of a contestant who is through to the final 8..
The globe rotates and the first face to appear in the globe this week is – Poonam..
Poonam Yadav of Yalgar Gharana is safe
She is called on stage and she sings – Pyaar toh hona hi thaa title song.. Jaswinder Nirula song..
She is wearing a white skirt and red tops.. She appeals to the viewers for votes..

Mussarat Abbas of Rock Gharana is safe –
Aditya asks HR about this.. He says – You sang very well last week.. We are greatrful to all the viewers for voting.. Please maintain the bond of relationship.. Whoever may win or which ever gharana wins, please maintain the bonding and that is more important..
Aditya says Mussarat went to his hometown Lahore, Pakistan.. He is given a star welcome and he says he is very happy that he has got this grand welcome.. His Sister says All are asking for him in the university and asks what song he is going to sing.. His father and mother wish that he reaches the finals and is happy that he has reached so far..
He sings Rafta Rafta from Namaste London..
Himesh – You could have done lot more better.. But you did justice to the song because this has been composed for a certain genre and that does not suit you.. But still you have done your best.. You did not copy and did it in your own original voice.. He says he wants to prove this and so he will sing two lines and show for the viewers to judge.. He then asks the producers to rewind and make the viewers listen to the same lines so as to prove that Mussarat has done a great job.. He appeals to the viewers to vote for Mussarat and requests them not to make this small family even more small just like Ismailji says..
The globe again rotates and Mauli’s face is shown in the globe..
Mauli Dave of Josh Gharana is safe
She sings Mehboob mere from fiza.. She is wearing a white top with some red flowers and she is wearing a red skirt.. She too appeals to the viewers to vote for her..
I thank the public for bringing her to top 8.. I want you to see as a champion not only in top 8..
The globe of fortune is again rotated and Raja’s face is shown on the globe..
Raja Hasan of Hit It Gharana is safe
He sings O ri chori from Lagaan.. Sumedha sings the female part in the house.. He does the vote appeal..

Shekhar – you are singing with lots of feel.. He thanks Sumedha also for singing and says – you too sang well.. Just keep singing like this..

Amanat Ali of Yalgar Gharana is safe
He sings Tum dil ki dhadkan mein from Dhadkan.. He is wearing a red jacket, white shirt and white4 pant.. Aditya says, he has performed really well and asks is this the effect of only riyaz or something more.. Amanat has also changed his hair style and cut his hair.. Aditya asks why such a change and who did it for him? By then Ismailji comes on stage and says wear red coat everytime, you will sing well.. He too asks him why you have changed the whole getup.. Amanat just smiles and does not give any answer.. He says he has sung all the singers songs.. God will decide the winner, but if its you, then I will be happy..
Aditya says, Poonam and Amanat have already created a dhoom, but we have heard that you are arranging for a world’s biggest gharba.. Ismailji asks him from where you got this news, Aditya says – this is all the work of the research team.. He says he is doing it in Surat and more because that is where his native is.. He says even the organizer has come and the organizer says – for the past 20 years we are doing gharba and this year Ismailji has joined us and we are very happy for it..
Himesh says all of them know that me and Ismailji are partners and from what Ismailji has told him about the gharba he knows that Its a great entertainment.. there is lot of innovative ideas that has been pooled into it.. He requests Amanat to take for the gharba.. Ismailji says he is going to take all the contestants sitting here for the gharba and its going to be world famous..

Sumedha Karmahe of Josh Gharana is safe
she sings chupke se chupke se from Saathiya
Shekhar gives a standing ovation.. She says – If you want to keep this barbie doll always decorated on the tv sets, the n please vote..
Bappida – I give you lot of blessings, you keep singing like this.. He says you are the aan, you are the shaan..
Shekhar says, this song originally you should have sung..
Bappida says – everyone has praised you so much now.. Do well..

Aneek Dhar of Rock Gharana is safe
Aditya says, last week you were just 500 votes behind Raja – but this week you are the topper.. He becomes the titan style of the week and he gets a titan watch..
Himesh says – I was worrying if there would be any difference in votes as I told about love, romance etc and didnt want Aneek’s votes to get effected.. But that did not happen.. I am happy with this result.. He says – you all might be thinking, why I bring all these issues – but certain bondings have to be brought and only music talks – I cannot do.. I will keep talking about all this..
He sings In dino from metro..
Himesh – you sang very well.. Aneek asks Himesh – will I get her? Himesh asks, before you were saying that you are not in love, so do you confess that you are in love? Aneek says – yes I am in love.. Ismailji goes on stage and Aneek gets blessings from him.. Himesh says – I dont want to break your heart, but I feel you will not get it.. Amanat also loves her.. He also says to Ismailji – I think she will neither be Aneek’s nor Amanat.. They show Sumedha everytime and Himesh asks Aneek to sing well so that she melts and accepts him.. Ismailji says – both these girls also sing well.. Bappida sing pyaar mein kabhi kabhi aisa bhi ho jaata hain.. Himesh says Music – you have to feel from within only then you will be able to express it..
Junaid and Harpreet are called on stage..
Junaid had gone to his house and he gets a warm welcome there.. He cuts cake and celebrates the happiness.. His music teacher says, to perform in the final 12 is itself a big achievement.. His mother is also happy and his father says, let all the difference between India and Pakistan vanish and we all get together again.. Let all the Visa problems get solved.. Junaid says – I was first worried as to how I am going to get adjusted in India, but it was just like being in home..
Junaid sings woh pehli baar from pyaar mein kabhi kabhi..
Harpreet had also gone to his house and even before Raksha Bandhan – he tied rakhi from his sisters.. He goes to gurudwara..
His mother gets emotional and cries.. His sister ties rakhi for him.. He driives tracktor and also bike.. He is enjoying with his friends..
His mother is there among the audience.. She thanks Zee TV, mentors and public and everyone who have brought harpreet here..
Harpreet sings dil ne tumko chunliya hai from jhankaar beats..
Junaid is called on stage by Aditya and Vishal calls Raja too on stage.. He says, its very sad that one among you will be eliminated today and it is the format of the contest too.. So, cannot do anything for that.. Shekhar says – Junaid is having throat infection and when you have throat infection, I know how much it troubles and you will not be able to perform well.. But you are doing a great job.. He adds that Harpreet is improving a lot and giving brilliant performance..
Vishal says to Raja – Aneek is number 1, and being number 2 is more beneficial because you get the inspiration and you both have to maintain the standard of the stage by performing better than the other.. When there is competition, one tries to prove better than the other and this way the standard will rise and this way who ever sings well will become the winner..
Ismail interrupts and says – I can talk about the winner too.. Its not that only these two can be winners.. There are also others who can be winners.. why only these two.. I wish Raja, Aneek, Amanat and every contestant become the winner..
Vishal then says, he was talking about only the competition between Raja and Aneek because there is tough competition between them for votes.. Ismailji says, why only these two?? How come the competition can be between these two??
Bappida then tries to cool them down by saying Let the winner be decided public.. Ismailji says Only this public has made us (the mentors) a winner too..
Shekhar then gets up and thanks all the mentors for supporting all the contestants…
