Your Opinion – Agnipariksha Round Week First
Hello friends. This is the first week of Agnipariksha Round. Now we have got 14 contestants in the final that have come here after passing so many hurdles. It’s not easy for them to come at this stage. Now onwards, it’s in your hand to save your favourite contestant as only ‘Public Voting’ is considered henceforth.
This week (Friday 6th July and Saturday 7th July) all 14 participants have performed twice. Now we are going to start new thread on saregamapashow.com – ‘Your Opinion on Agnipariksha Round’.
After watching and listening to all the performances, you have to pick two best contestants and two weak contestants (and give your opinion on that).
According to me…
Two best contestants are
1. Raja Hasan – he has his original voice and his last song ‘Chakde Phatte from Khosla ka ghosla’ was mind-blowing. He puts his jaan in the song…
2. Poonam Yadav – ‘Tose naina lage from Anwar’ was fantastic. Its very difficult song (sing by two singers) but she really performed well….my vote goes to her.
Two Weak contestants are –
1. Rimi Dhar – She has potential and good song but she was not in sur and tal. Her voice was shaking all the time..
2. Mussarat – He really needs to improve a lot. Now his high notes are also cracking …must cos of overuse. ‘Garaj Baras from Paap’ was totally flat…

sumedha was also off sur mussarat wasn’t tooo too bad tho.. rimi’s voice is somewhat weak… very shaky her song was too fast. poonam is really trying to prove she isn’t shaky, and raja… he’s amazing. i think aneek and abijit are very good too esp. aneek

If performance and attitude only counts in SAREGAMAPA, not the singing quality Apoorva is a better performer than Mauli and a great singer like Raja, Amanat, Aneek, Mussarrat.

I don’t know what this girl is doing in finals !!
She’s not a good singer and not at all good looking.. don’t know what others like about her .. !!

Btw, did you guys notice that the voting on Zee TV website was displaying Sarika Singh’s name instead of Junaid Sheikh’s?

mauli is no where near to shakira, what the folk on about her being shakira, i though buppi will be a gud one but he know nothing about singing i hope people will kick out mauli and her ars lickers. amanat and poonam are very gud
iam agree 100% mauli is not near shakira i think bappi lahiri whatever his name he is stupied. he can”t even talk in hindi and what he teach to his kids about singing. Mauli don”t know about singing i think she is wack she can”t sing classical or any other. she should come back to USA and start singing with those all black women GHOSPEL music lol they will pay her good.

These contestants are all trying their best to win peoples’ hearts and their support.
But I think Raja Hassan, Aneek Dhar, and Mussarat Abbas have better chance to go to FINALS. Ponam Yadav is a very outstanding singer and she can change things around too. I thank Shekhar Ji and Vishal Ji for giving opportunity to some of these people to sing for them in their albums because all the contestants comes to SAREGAMAPA with a lot of dreams and these two angels are giving them chances in their albums and fulfilling the contestants their dreams.
Even if Poonam is a good singer, I don’t think poonam will make her position even in top 7.
Public doesn’t vote simple salwar kameejh wearing girls, they want spice in the show !
I won’t be surprised even if worst singer Mauli Dave wins the show!

musarrat sounded bad because he is not a signer who should sing these kind of songs , HR was rights in saying that he is in a different genre.
i still think adding two already winners in the show is not right.
amanat was good. HR comments on mauli and aditiya was just not required.

I am sure not many people will agree with my comments.
Music is very technical thing and public could differntiate between poor and good singing however we CANNOT judge amongst very good and exceptional! So to hand in the responsibilty to public would mean decision on X factor (so for sure MAULI inspite of being worst in the lot would go on and on).
Secondly, public voting for World Contest only in india (last time i heard there were lot more countries in world other than INDIA) means an unfair advantage to indian contestants and disadvatage to other contestants (As we saw even last time voting pattern is always LINGUISTIC/ ETHNIC rather than quality).
For God’s sake , Judges pls stop praising Mauli. Her voice is not very good and her singing style is bad according to me. Also she suits only for bar dance songs and item numbers but playback singing is something more than that.

I am regular viewer of this show and a big fan of yours.
The best song to suit you is ” Mera Naina sawan bhadau, fir bhi mera man pyasa”. Please try this.
Clearly the best singers are Aneek, Raja and Poonam…
Amaanat and Mussarat are very good too- but the first three are way ahead of the rest in terms of singing ability- I sincerely hope one of them wins the contest.
Mauli is just a very good performer- she is NOT a good singer whose voice can touch the heart, and I hope and pray that the public keeps this in mind when voting for the “BEST SINGER”..

I want to add something. I think the singers should be given a standard format of the request they make for public voting. Most of the singers like Joy, Aneek, Harpreet etc speak in their local language to attract native audience. It should be strongly discouraged in the show to maintain the sanctity of the programme.

But public voting is so unpredictable.. Last year no one really expected Debojit to win!!
It was Nihira Joshi who deserved to win.. But you never know who wins.. Its public voting + politics !!

IMO, the best singers are:
1. Aneek
2. Raja
3. Amaanat
Abhijit, Mussarat are very good too- but not at the same level as the above three, who are polished singers and very consistent performers.
Most of the contestants at this level are quite good, as they should be- but I doubt that any of the rest would make the top 5.
Among the girls, Poonam is definitely the best. Mauli needs to try to sing melodious songs to prove that she is a good singer, not just a good performer in masala numbers!

i think none of the girls are capable for winning this biggest award,may be all the great musician had seen something on them but as a listerner during this period i couldnot enjoy all the girls singing except one girl.and man raja and one from ismail darbar group and annekk they are really great,i feel so relax after listeinig thier voice.best of luck for all.all of you have talent that why u all are there in big stage infornt of whole world and big personality.
I think it would be fantastic if they let the singers sing from backstage in one of the episodes.

Im here in New York and have been a big fan of Saregamapa for many years. My opinion is as follows:
Raja is by far the best. He has a great voice, nice quality, very controlled, and very trained (classically especially)
The gurls are really really wack, in other words they are horrible. I hate to say it but its really sad that some of these gurls are stayin on the show for their looks.
People, these guys are gonna be doing PLAYBACK, we wont SEE THEM!! Mauli, i know ur from the USA and all, and I give u credit for your hindi but honestly u dont have a great voice, u had one great performance but thats it. Im sorry to say but u need to bring urself bak to the US and leave that show with some dignity.
The judges need to stop encouraging this nonsense. This is NOT a contest of hottest indian gurl.
Goin bak to Raja, i do hope that the viewers can appreciate his talent. I think hes amazing and will be the winner in my mind hands down.
If Mauli makes the finals, this show should cancel itself out of shame.
I wonder why all of you keep being so harsh to Mauli. She is way better that Rimi and Nirupama.

Byfar Raja is No 1 in personality wise too he is down to earth and make connection to common people very fast…
He has great voice, naturality and opens his mouth and sings unlike others like Mauli/Sarika who sings nasal and its evident when they go low/high pitch.

i agree that mauli does not deserve to be in the finals. i am proud that people are actually listening to the quality of ones voice and not of their apperance. mauli needs to work extra extra hard to keep up. although she had the X factor thats not enough to win such a big fame. i also wanted Sikander in the finals because he sang very well. The person that should be eliminated for this week should be Rimi. Although she is one of my favs she is not giving good performances.

I was a big Raja fan, but I think Aneek is out performing him. Mauli is not Shakira, Shakira looks good and can sing.

I think if Mauli had to sing Maiya Maiya now, she wouldn’t even be in the agni pariksha. She has gotten where she is because of her maiya maiya song.
I wish Rimi gets out next.

Firstly, Divya from US – you conveniently FORGOT to mention Mauli in your list of participants who make their requests for votes in their regional language…I wonder why you’d leave that out! And whatever – at the end of the day that’s what many people vote by/show most solidarity with. So don’t try change the natural order of things. And even if they didn’t use language, as if we wouldn’t know their regional backgrounds by their names/surnames. That whole bullshit with all the Gujjus on the show was so gross – Anandji couldn’t HELP but choose the crap singer…after all Mauli IS Gujarati. So why blame the audience/contestants when the so-called Mahagurus are practicing stupid tactics?!
So I hope, for eye candy’s sake, he stays on the show for a lot longer! hehe… Apoorva has a REALLY good playback quality voice…and Harpreet is just about average. Joy sings only one type of song so I’m not particularly fond of him. Pooja is pretty good – although all the girls SUCK this year. I miss Himani, Nihira, and Ujaini 
I think Rimi will be the first to leave…let’s see what happens. 
My favourites in the show are Aneek & Amanat, without a doubt. Although I’d like to see Amanat do a slightly faster paced song so he can prove his immense depth in ability. I like some of Raja & Abhijit’s performances. Mussarat is one of my personal favourites, but I know he’s not as talented/versatile a singer as Aneek or Amanat. JUNAID IS HOTT…BUT…his talent is limited. Still I really like watching him
And I agree with what someone else said – Mauli will unfortunately go pretty far in the competition…i mean she’s got all her ‘fans’ (who MUST be deaf)…
Whatever happens: ANEEK & AMANAT MUST BE TOP TWO (with Junaid in the top 3 yay!)!!!!!

if u see the all performance of the show not base on onday performance Amanat is far better singer from rest of others even on this performance shahkir come up on stage and said he sang wel and vishal said he sang better then original singer 1 Amanat 2 raja 3 junaid & musarat 4 aneek & poonum rest of them dont deserve to be mention

Raja is the best BY FAR. The others are no competition. I look forward to seein his performance tomorrow….I hope to see raja in the finals….KEEP VOTIN FOR RAJA GUYS…and come on seriously, was ANYONE surprised seeing Rimi go? I wasnt. Im hopin the audience continues to vote with brains…and yes again I agree Mauli’s performances are really not impressive and at times Im surprised she even made it on that show…she tries to make every song so seductive…NOT COOL!
i am big fan of junaid sheik.i think he sings well. this week he was in bottom two.that made me really tensed.but i think what he lacks is he is not been able to make that connection with the audience.he is not that friendly when he comes in front of camera and most of the times he keeps his eyes closed while singing.i fail to believe he is the same person who sung gustaka dil.that he performed brilliantly right.i think raja rocks.amanat ali is brilliant too.
Hey…i think the 2 stronge contestants are mussarat and annek from rock gharana…and the 2 week contestants are mauli and junaid…mauli and junaid both have a very good voice but they dont pick the songs that best suit their voice!! otherwise they are very good…and raja i dont no wats so good in his voice hat people vote for him! accordind to me aneek should have been the top one…

mentors r really gud sp vishal n shekhar bcoz they r always with ryt dissiciaon they hav given chance to participents thats really gud for all of them.
if i say about participents then i must say RAJA HASAN rocks…. if he work hard then he is able to win this challaneg, MUSSARAT< AMMANAT and yesss ANNEK....they r also gud singers, annek is really gud .... his voice is awsome
i like 2 say abt MOULI ..she is gud singer but i dont thik that she hav that potiental to win chalalnge his 1st performance is 2guddd but after that her magic didnt work, i m not singer but i can understand taht she is not comfertble with some songs …… her last performace si so bad…..
