I liked the performances, but I thought Harpreet could have sang a different song..I would have liked to hear him sing Number One Punjabi, but he was very good! Abhijeet and Joy were good, Mussarat could have been better, Amanat was great, he really can sing very different songs!
I wasn’t too impressed by Nirupama, Mauli finally sang a song that suits her..Sumedha is pure sweetness, Raja has that name for a reason.. excellent performance!! Oh poor Aneek, what a nightmare that happened to him!!!
Poonam was great as usual.. and Junaid rocked totally ROCKED the stag, what a crazy act that was!! But how has he been graded???

Well, it was really rocking episode because of Salman. And all the contestants done great job. Especially Junaid. He rocked the stage. He doesnt need to win any competition because he’s already been hired by Vishal/Shekhar and they will surely rock in the future together. For Mauli, yes she sang the song nicely but it is also true that it was like an item song even this song “No Entry” is very tough to sing like musarrat and poonam’s songs and they have to struggle alot to present their songs nicely and I think they performed very nicely. So she proved that she can only sing item or club songs not classical/shastria, neem classical and other kinda stuff. She s limited to club songs so for her standing in this she has to prove alot of things. I’m impressed with the performance of Junaid, Amanat, Raja, Aneek & Sumedha. Sumedha is no doubt a good singer and she has soft, sweet and very melodious voice. She s perfect for recording, yes I agreed with Lara. At the end it was the two hereos, one Salman and one Junaid. Mind blowing performances. Some people talked about Musicians, so I think this was pre-recorded orchestras or tracks and singers have to sing on recorded karoake.

This Episode was so much fun. Even though the musicians were missing which had a negative effect on the quality of the songs, but overall it was tons of fun. OK.. Let me be the first one to admit that i really underestimated Junaid’s singing ability. This guy has a really bright future with his amazing voice quality and energy. He rocked the stage.
Also, I was really impressed with Sumedha. She looked really hot and gave her best and I agree 100% with Lara Dutta that she is ready to hit the recording studios.
Raja, Aneek, Mussart, Ammanat and Poonam were also good. Actually, I expected them to do a little better . Also, i was surprized by Mauli as she finally selected the right item song that suited her voice.
Now, I have updated my Top 7 List for this show:
1)Ammanat (Enough said)
2)Raja (Watch out Ammanat)
3)Sumedha (A complete singer)
4)Aneek (I want you to sing a classical song to put you on the same level as ammanat and Raja)
5)Mussarat (A very good singer, needs to be a little more consistent)
6)Junaid(I want to see your next 2 performances as good as this one)
7)Poonam (Again, if you could be more consistent, i would have put you in the top 5)

Very nice episode. Salman was great. He made the atmosphere very light and relaxing and so all singers did exceptionally well.
Evry one was good, Nirupama gave the weakest performance of all. I liked Mussarat’s song, he put lot of feelings in the song. Even Mauli put the perfect feel to her item no.
Very entertaining episode. Everyone performed well. I was expecting a lot of bad vibes after reading about how salman was rubbing HR the wrong way etc. But it turned out to be false. He was just being witty and pulling everyone’s legs.
Everyone is coming up to each other’s standard now. Going to be very tough from now on.
Junaid is back in form.. so watch out Raja, Aneek, Amanat.
The above four guys have so far given most memorable performances.
Musarrat is good, but he along with Harpreet is very good but not great.
Amongst females, Sumedha and Poonam definitely. Mauli did well this week. But she will lose against these two.

I think Raja is also stuck in a particular style. Also I dont like his pronounciations sometimes. And, I am sure many folks with knowledge of sur and taal will agree with me, Raja slips from sur at times.. but he covers it up very well.
I think once again Raja proved hes on top. His song was the most difficult song of the night (Poonams was hard as well) and Raja rocked it. I really liked the way he sang it and he deserved the comments he got for it. I really hope he makes it number one again next week. He has the more powerful voice in the competition. Yes Amanat and Aneek are good but they arent at the same level as Raja. Theres somethin about Rajas voice that sets him apart. These three really deserve to make it to the top. I liked Poonams performance, VERY hard to sing that song and she did a great job (but she was very nervous) I thought Junaid was a lot better than he has been but I think what made his performance good was the song choice. And what happened to Aneek was really funny. Overall great episode. Cant wait for next week!

I do not think that Raja is better than Ammanat and Aneek especially when it comes to Sur. His Sur gets flat sometimes but his energy in the song and his style always makes up for it. If you talk about performing on a consistent basis, I would say both Ammanat and Aneek has performed much better every single week. Raja has an amazing personality and heart which has made the voters vote for him which is why he has been getting the most votes and he deserve them. But this does not mean that he is the best singer on the show. I would pick Ammanat as my top choice and then its a tie b/w Aneek and Raja.

I think from now on they should just play a pre recorded song while the contestants are singing, because all of them are comfortable doing it that way… especially Mauli.. She made a big comeback, but Sumedha and Poonam have the better voice quality… Junaid and Aneek are the kings of this show, and then Raja and Mussarat..

I do not know why ppl think Mauli can only sing item songs. She has learnt classical music. I have known her sing all kinds of songs.
Its not about classical or item songs. its about whether the voice suits particular songs.

I dont know about others but I am NOT a pakistani. I am very much Indian and a SOUTH Indian for that matter… I have enough knowledge of classical music both hindustani and carnatic and western to comment that certainly Amanat, Aneek and Junaid are more versatile than any others. I understand you all are Mauli fans.. I am too. I just dont think she can pull off a song that has a classical touch. She is good, but not good enough. Thats all.
Before you vote, think about who would you PAY to listen to. Thats the difference.
Yes, I agree with the previous anonymous poster. I am Indian too. I agree with you 100%. Also with a previous poster who said Raja slips sur at times and is able to cover up. 100% agree. But he is definitley awesome.

So much is written about Mauli. She has a good voice. But she sings only peppy songs. She was very bad in “taal se taal mila”. It exposed her weakness in melodious songs. infact I liked her “idhar chali” the best. Better than mayya mayya. She messed up big time on the lyrics of mayya mayya.
This time she was good (got all 10s) but she got 10 on MAULI scale.. not on the srgmp scale. Also please note that Bappi dear gave 6 and 7 to those who got 10s from the other judges..!!

We saw some great performances on 21st July episode but I want to appreciate Aneek for keeping his cool and not losing his concentration after going thru a horrible situation.Salman does’nt know where to draw line and trying to entertain at the cost of others.HATS OFF to u Aneek for being so sporting and bearing everything with a smile.

I start watching SAREGAMAPA for Mauli’s Mayya Mayya; it was ROCKING! I loved it! She sang it better than the originals … I instantly became her fan; part of the reason she looks very cute too … But as time passed by … I gotta admit … although I like … She SUCKS compare to others. If i have a million dollar and I could produce one of contesters’ song; HANDS DOWN RAJA
In girls; Sumehda has a voice you want to hear when you are driving at night just cruising.
Amanat Junaid and Mussarat are awesome as well.

I saw Salman tease and insult others during this episode. He looked a bit dodgy the moment he started walking in. His facial expression was a bit more stupid than usual and he reminded me of some one that is a cross between an “out of place” village idiot and suffering chronic constipation! Luckily, there was no deers and Salman forgot his gun, else we could have had more fun!
When he started taking pot shots at the host about his “growth”, I kinda wondered whether Ghan realised that that boy has indeed grown enough to take salmon’s sister out and possibly get her productive overnite! Then he took shots at Himesh badly and it felt good because Himesh did a good job of pushing the buttons of this jack arse, remotely!!
Salmon Ghan is neither the greatest of actors, nor a decent human being! Just a rag tag thug that got caught in the drift and some how managed to fly a wee while. In that wasted body of his, one part is obviously missing, brain! Can’t believe that zee stooped to his level and in that process lowered the viewing standards of every one. This snotty, dumbarse, dickhead is a worthless piece of shit that is not good enough for a old, 1963 black and white tv, let alone zee in 2007!

What an episode…very exciting to watch… the starting song by Aditya and contestants was really good..lol i swear down, Salman Khan was drunk..straight up! he did look very dogdy.. his eyes were all over the place..his dance at the start was soo funny thou, the Salman and Aditya converstation was sooo cute.. i loved how Aditya was communicating during that conversation… it was horribe what he done to poor Aneek.. i rate Aneek, for putting up a smile n all.. hes only 18years old, bless him… i think that this episode overall had the best performances from all the contestants.. no one got below a 5/6 in this episode.. i was really impressed by Sumedha’s and Junaid’s performances.. Amanat, Raja, Pooman, Harpreet, Mussarat all very good, Nirupma, Joy and Abijeet could all have done MUCH better, i feel that out of them 3, one may be out.. or may end up in Trishanku, due to their last performances.. however.. after a VERY VERY long time, Mauli performed well,, back to her Mayya Mayaa standard of a song… but his yet confirms some of our views that she cannot sing soft, romantic songs.. only club/item numbers.. i definately agree with a previous comment from saregamapa fan UK that No Entry was not a tough song to sing..(im a fan from the uk too) she should attempt the kinds of songs that Poonam, Amanat, Raja etc sing…then i will consider to rate her a true singer.. but i did enjoy her no entry performance.. 10.10.10 from all judges.. she will still be in the show.. lol, but its going to be very though for her, coz shes competing against so many other strong contestants..please everyone who’s bigging her up again, look back at all her weak performances.. Versatile like Amanat and Raja.. i was stunned at Amanats Dil Lutiya performance! .. i enjoyed this episode.. and yes..agreed with the comment that there was no musicians and karaoke was played.. as can be herd in some of the songs choruses. apart from the whole Aneek thing was a good episode.. hope we get a real true singer out of this contest.. not anyone who recites songs and performs them, gives one off, inconsistant performances.. hopefully everyone will take into account contestances previous performances, when deciding on who to vote! vote for a TRUE SINGER WHO SINGS FROM THEIR HEART, WITH SUR AND TAAL. Still dont believe that so much of this episode has been edited!. Thanks for reading this.

Who is a complete all-rounder ?
In my opinion Amanat, Junaid and Aneek.
I enjoyed every performance of Aneek and Junaid except Junaid’s Maula mere.. where he went off tune a bit.
Mauli’s choice of songs is her No.1 drawback. “DhakDhak karne laga”, “No entry” etc are songs for bathroom singers. She gave a school girl performance on all her songs except mayya mayya. On the otherhand, Poonam is choosing difficult songs and doing a great job.
Junaid has a voice like honey. The best in the lot. Reminds me very much of Sonu Nigam.
Raja is a winner no doubt .. but I would like to hear Raja sing some rock. He is doing sufi all the time. That does not make him an allrounder.
Sumedha has a nice voice, but she has not sung any classical based song so far that will tell us how she can handle it, so I dont rate her high. She plays it safe in my opinion.
Remember that singing a known popular song is one thing .. but singing a brand new composition would be a challenge for this playback wannabes. In that sense I think Amanat, Aneek or Junaid will win. Or Poonam and Sumedha in girls.

This episode was really good. Raja rocked. He lost his sur at one place in the song but the overall expression was so good that it didn’t matter. Aneek is the best. I have never seen him loosing his sur then again he hasn’t tried a classical number yet. Amanat was good as always even though this was not his genre.
Mussarrat was always good but had lost his touch somehow because he was trying something else.
People who are comparing Sumedha with Poonam are forgetting the fact that Sumedha has given only two performances that are worth talking. This one and the one in IDs episode. Apart from those two, she’s been below standard. Poonam on the other hand is a versatile singer and just blows out the competition. Todays song was difficult to sing with a track because there’s no reference for beat in the first alaap part. Its very difficult to catch this song with a pre-recorded track so hats off to her.

To all houstonians and fans of mauli, I understand your “local” sentiments since I lived in Houston as well (Go Texas!) but thats where it all stops. Mauli is an item singer (”no entry” kinds),theres one type - club song which suits her. She has made a different tune out of slow romantic numbers forget about classical and sargam. Versatile is Aneek - hip-hop (pyar karke), slow romantic (jane kya), fast (ya ali), high pitch (dil se re), melody (chand mera dil). My top 3: Aneek, Raja, Amanat respectively.
I agree with the above poster. I live in the US too (not texas) but that has nothing to do with who gets my vote.
Aneek is by far the best. Not once has he slipped sur. Song selections - fantastic. Range - very wide. 100% ready for playback singing.
I still back Junaid because he is all of the above except for a couple of performances where he slipped sur a couple of times.
Please dont vote according to nationality or ethnicity. The deserving person should win.
Mauli is good. but not deserving. but please dont vote for Mauli’s voice just because you think she has nice legs. There is no connection.

Salman Khan gets Bonus points for dissing Himesh on the show; telling Joy not to sing from his nose and ditch the smelly toppee. I’m not a big fan of Sallu, but after that I instantly gained a new respect for the “who-needs-shirts?” actor.
The scene where they’re showing little Aditya and Sallu acting in that old movie was so cute, especially Adi’s embarrassed expression (turning away with face in hands).
Sallu made Bappi change his monotonous expression! And he made him dance! That’s some serious sh*t to be proud of!

I looooove Amanat’s voice. I think that he’s the best new singer in any musical challenge shows on TV. He is also good in singing different types of songs but I think he should stick to the type of songs he is best at, eg. Yeh Hosla,Mitwa,etc.These types of songs shows the viewers his greatness as a singer.After all he has to defeat aother great singer like Raja, who is simply superb.

Well, i agree to all of your comments to a certain extent but not entirely, e.g. lot of people are criticising Raja for his slip of SUR but what u guys are not realising is his versatility to sing…. the energy and originality he brings into a song, i think he’s simply amazzing and rightly following the tracks of Kailash Kher….apart from him, Sumedha was excellent too and Salman has commented correctly that she should have sung the original song….she has got a very sweet and melodious voice suitable to most of the current bollywood actresses. As far as Junaid is concerned, i believe he has performed much better this time than his previous performances but we’ll have to see his future acts to judge him appropriately…Amanat, i would say, is one of my favourites among them all, he has a very deep understanding of music and can sing all kind of songs very well…looks like he’s gonna be the Sonu Nigam of next decade as he sounds like him…Mauli lacks versatility and is restricted only to item songs, she concentrates more on her expressions and acting skills than her singing talent…i don’t think she stands many chances of winning this contest, however she should try for some acting contests as thats what she’s good at…
Overall, it was a great episode to watch and the participants are really really talented..plus i think its Salman’s presence which made them all sing to the best of their abilities…
My ranking would be as follows:-
1. Raja / Amanat
2. Sumedha
3. Junaid
4. Aneek
This one to guru of surs… Raja’s permofance was way ahead of junaid who is an amateur. Please don’t compare raja with anyone apart from amanat.

For the person who has asked the naem of the movie and song that Raja sang in the last episode…it is dus( unreleased movie) and the song was “sun le mahiya”….
and yes he rocked the episode…i think he is by far the best….his song selection…his charming smile, his ability to reach out to ur heart and soul…just outstanding….

i feel except mauli all singers r good! About the judges,i think even i feel HR is not that bad as he apreciates all singers but Bhappida sucks big time! Not even a line moves on his face when other Gharana’s are singing but as soon as his Gharana comes,he starts smilling & Wah,Wah!He alots 6 or 7 to other contestants & expects 10 for his!I have no respect for that club singer contestant of his(U know who!)
Grow up bhappida,for ur age & experience & be apreciative of all the contestants!It’s a shame that we have to tell u this!
i think its Aneek who is really stealing the show everytime after that Amanat, Junaid, Raja and Mussarat. Hats off to Aneek he is singing from the ground not just entertaining. The real fight is in between Amanat and Aneek but people at prsesnt giving Raja the no.1 spot i dont know why? yeah he is singing gud but he forgot lyrics on many occasions and that was a big mess with a stage show program……………… its one of too many drawbacks with him

This is the first time i watched all videos and this whole Sa Re Ga ma Pa is total shit…if you are really looking for talent, see Indian Idol 3. poor singers..poor presentation..poor judges and above all poor host…nothing compare to indian idol

yeh it ws a rockin show bcoz of salman….his eyes look cool as a murderer sometimes, but somwher in dem der is love….i m nt a huge fan of him….bt i liked him n it increased wen i saw him on saregamapa…..yeh i totally agree that None of the indian idol singers can compete any of the saregamapa singers, i mean at least with last 10 of both….to be honest with you all, i really became a fan of Raja when he sang Mahiya….in fact i searched the song from web, n finally found it on cooltoad, i felt dat he sang it better than sukhwinder…..may b i m overwhelmed by d song itself, dats true….but i really liked d song and m very optimistic about raja…well, to me he ws d best of d evening…

This has been the best show on Saregama for this season so far. Salman Khan has made watching this show a blast and very memorable.
My god, everyone in today’s show were outstanding and deserves a standing ovation. Every performance was mind blowing, I wish I was apart of the audience.
The one minus factor was that Mauli’s performance was not as good as the judges made it out to be. She tried to imitate a little bit of Sunidhi, but didn’t manage to create the same magic that Alisha Chinai did in the original.
Her hugging Salman Khan was just showing off.
Good things do come in small packages and Poonam is proof of that. I completely agree with Lara and say that she is the best female singer. For the guys, Raja is stiff competition.
But I think Aneek is the best!
