Anyway, on to the REST of the eppy.

Vishal and Shekhar’s showcase of Cash was cool. I happen to love the music for that song…very different and catchy music score. They sang well, although Vishal’s attempts at dancing in some points did make me chuckle. Poor Shekhar looked rather awkward in the very beginning when they were both introduced; Vishal was striking a pose and Shekhar was just standing there. One of the movies I want to see this summer, definitely. Just for the action and stuff.

Shamita Shetty and Dia Mirza, huh? Well it goes without saying that Shamita did little to nothing productive on the show. Dia on the other hand was frickin awesome. She actually spoke like an educated judge (better than Bappi and Himesh in most cases) and actually stood up for the contestants, specifically towards the end with that huge arguement about versatility. (I believe she was on V&S side, am I correct? At the end of the show she was talking to Shekhar in this very reassuring manner.)

And speaking about the whole ‘Versatility’ Arguement, Himesh is a frickin moron. The fact that he feels versatility is unimportant would explain why we are subjected to his redundant moaning song after song. Being versatile is what being a singer is all about! Singers like Sunidhi Chaun and KK (<3) aren't widely acclaimed for one type of singing style! Sunidhi can vary from Beedi (Omkara) to Mere Haath (Fanaa) while KK can do the same from Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai (Woh Lamhe) to Dus Bahane (Dus).
Himesh must be speaking from experience. He is despised by most of the music community because of HIS INABILITY to display even a shred of versatility. I support Vishal and Shekhar’s point of view 100%. Himesh can just go jump off a cliff.

Dingdingding! We have a winner! I agree, 110%. What baffles me is that HR feels that he MUST sing at the drop of a hat. He’s already unbearable enough on those ridiculous Aap Ka Surroor ads. Can’t he spare us viewers from the horrific moaning for once?

Quite on the contrary, Ismail barely does much of anything. He keeps it clean (most of the time) but I wouldn’t say its on par with V&S judgements. He just looks bored as if he’s watching grass grow, doodling on that sheet of paper in front of him and just waiting for the whole charade to end. Funny, yes, but not exactly helpful.
