Mauli has a lot of fan following and there is a good reason behind it. An artist is only as good as their fan following. There may be many good singers but no one wants to listen to them. Mauli offers something different and I look forward to hearing her all the time.
If junta keeps voting like this, a day will come when quality singers like Sumedha, Poonam and Nirupama will have to get eliminated from the show because of Mauli. I don’t understand why people are actually voting for her? Zee TV should seriously reconsider the decision of public votes deciding the best singers. If it continues like this, they will regret at the end. My 2 chavannis.

TINA….u are either a relative of Mauli or u are a dumb ass..i have learnt hindustani classical for more than 12 years and to me Mauli is crap if anything. I totally agree with the previous 2 comments, written about Mauli and her singing… well said! she needs to be out.. otherwise theres guna be strikes going on for real.. she hardly has no knowlegde of hindustani sangeet..and also cant hit her high notes… if you listen to her ‘taal se taal’ she sang in the last episode.. you can hear her going ‘hmmm’ really loudly in the mic before she starts singing ‘savan ne aaj toh…’ verse.. she sounds pathetic.. i agree with ID..shes tryna commit sucide.. cant believe that shes still IN

I think one thing is very clear here. ID and HR are planning some khichdi with Mauli…an album or some tracks in a movie or maybe the baseball stadium tour…God Knows. But that seems to be the reason for them to promote her and make sure that she is in the final’s. I think this is a travesty and extremely unfortunate.
One thing is clear that good singing talents suffer a lot in India. I think this kind of Bias introduces more problems for “poor” singers…Pls. boycott ID and HR in the future for indulging in such shenanigans…Do it the Gandhigiri way. Show such imposters that the public does not consist of fools…down with HR and ID.
may be my 12 years of learning has done be no good, but it has done me enough good to pick good and bad sur/taals/aalaps/scales…..about being abusive..one cant help being one when genuinely good people are suffering due to prejudice that is as evident as our mere existance. stop supporting undeserved singers no matter how much u love them on personal grounds. your love is very justified, your bias is not. in the previous show,Diya pointed out right..when it comes to guys, the mentors/gurus talk about being versatile as a very important aspect, but when it comes to a girl (Mauli ofcourse) they ask her to stick to one style as she cant sing another..how pathetic …shows their desperation for “revealing women”..need i say more? have a good one..no hard feelings, just hard facts..cheers

A layman may not know much about the techinicities of the sur/taal etc, but they just appretiate what they feels good to hear.. and So Mauli is loved by all.. All of you who claim to be real masters of music.. juts go back to basics and learn to appretiate others.. be it Mauli or Raja.
Yup, the judges scores on singers said it all. Mauli was the one who got lowest. Three fives. LOL and people are still saying she is the best! Even Apurva, Junaid got higher scores than her. Go figure!

When you are a kid and your mom sends you to buy tomatoes from market, you might buy rotten ones because you don’t know the difference. Once you grow up and realize what rotten tomatoes are, do you still keep buying them? Heck no.

To be fair.. if you are a great learner of music and you think all 13 are good… you know nothing about music. Many of them are bad, what about Joy, Nirupama to name a few. They are worst than Mauli.
The truth is you just observe how mauli makes her face while singing, not her singing and feel jeleous of her.. just because no one wants to listen to your ragas.
If you want to be fair just dont abuse Mauli, talk about all bad singers on the show

This is a competition for who is the best singer, so better stop the hungry needing food philosophy (aka emotional drama). Audience wants quality singing from quality singers. If a singer is bad, he/she is bad no matter how many connections they have with the judges or how good looking they are. Why not ask her to go join modelling or even make her an actress if you may? Who said no one is listening to others? Everyone else is not partial like you are (because you’re probably related to her) so just speak for yourself. And I think you are at least educated enough to understand the marks on the score card for Mauli’s performances, it was out there for public to view when judges gave her the lowest marks.

Talk about a Mauli War.
Personally I think she’s good at singing her element (songs like No Entry and Mayya Mayya) but other than that she does more acting and dancing on the stage and expects people to love her for it. Not only that, the manner in which she holds herself makes her come across as very arrogant.
Anyway, on to the REST of the eppy.
Vishal and Shekhar’s showcase of Cash was cool. I happen to love the music for that song…very different and catchy music score. They sang well, although Vishal’s attempts at dancing in some points did make me chuckle. Poor Shekhar looked rather awkward in the very beginning when they were both introduced; Vishal was striking a pose and Shekhar was just standing there. One of the movies I want to see this summer, definitely. Just for the action and stuff.
Shamita Shetty and Dia Mirza, huh? Well it goes without saying that Shamita did little to nothing productive on the show. Dia on the other hand was frickin awesome. She actually spoke like an educated judge (better than Bappi and Himesh in most cases) and actually stood up for the contestants, specifically towards the end with that huge arguement about versatility. (I believe she was on V&S side, am I correct? At the end of the show she was talking to Shekhar in this very reassuring manner.)
And speaking about the whole ‘Versatility’ Arguement, Himesh is a frickin moron. The fact that he feels versatility is unimportant would explain why we are subjected to his redundant moaning song after song. Being versatile is what being a singer is all about! Singers like Sunidhi Chaun and KK (<3) aren't widely acclaimed for one type of singing style! Sunidhi can vary from Beedi (Omkara) to Mere Haath (Fanaa) while KK can do the same from Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai (Woh Lamhe) to Dus Bahane (Dus).
Himesh must be speaking from experience. He is despised by most of the music community because of HIS INABILITY to display even a shred of versatility. I support Vishal and Shekhar’s point of view 100%. Himesh can just go jump off a cliff.

Quite on the contrary, Ismail barely does much of anything. He keeps it clean (most of the time) but I wouldn’t say its on par with V&S judgements. He just looks bored as if he’s watching grass grow, doodling on that sheet of paper in front of him and just waiting for the whole charade to end. Funny, yes, but not exactly helpful.
