Salman Khan Vs Himesh Reshammiya on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa
Salman Khan, who helped Himesh find a footing in Bollywood, was a Godfather for Himesh Reshammiya but now their friendship has turned sour and this has been proved in recent episode of Saregamapa Challenge 2007. Salman Khan created havoc on the sets of Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Monday night (the show will be telecast on Saturday, 21st June). [Spoiler Post]
Salman v/s Himesh
Salman entered to applause and hugged the other judges of the show – Bappi Lahiri, Shekhar, Ismail Durbar – but with Himesh he only shook hands.
When Himesh began to comment on his Rock gharana contestants, Sallu kept interrupting him and passed sarcastic comments. Himesh took it like a man and responded by praising Salman and acknowledging the star’s hand in his success. Salman did not back down and continued to be rude. Himesh then actually pleaded with the star: “Ab to mere baare mein kuchch achcha bolo!”
Salman obliged and muttered a few words of praise. After this, Himesh was wary and spoke only in monosyllables. This did not stop Salman, who observed that Himesh made songs for children while Ismail Darbar made them for musicians.
Sallu irritates his Partner?
Salman came to the show with his Partner co-star Lara Dutta, at 8 pm, and stayed till the end of the shoot at midnight. It was his girlfriend Katrina Kaif’s birthday but she was abroad shooting. However Salman didn’t even spare his date. When she spoke in praise of the talent show, Sallu interrupted, and to her horror, said: “Jhooth bol rahi hai! Isne aaj tak programme ka koi episode nahin dekha. Mujhse make-up room mein details pooch rahi thi.”
When contestant Abhijeet Kosambi sang Salman’s hit number, Aaja Soniye from Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, and Lara expressed her displeasure about the song selection, Salman said: “Lara ko yeh gaana is-liye pasand nahi hai kyoon ki yeh Priyanka Chopra ka gaana hai.
Himesh’s wards get their share
The first singer to come on stage, Joy, was from the Rock Gharana, who fitting sang a Himesh-compsed song from a Salman film! Himesh asked him to sing Dil keh raha hai from Kyonki. Salman gave him a deep look and then said: “Cap pehen ke kyun ga raha hai?” A defiant Joy did not take it off.
When he finished, the judges thought he was off-key. To this Salman said that he did not sing through his nose so that was fine.
After this came Nirupama, to sing, Aaj main upar from Khamoshi. Noticing her nervousness, Salman came on stage and gave her a hug which left her stunned for a few seconds. She went on to sing well. Salman gave her 7.5 and the comment: “I am giving you saade saat (7 and a half) stars because my saade saati is on and I want to pass it on to you.”
When Lahore’s Mussarat finished his rendition of Tera Naam’s kyun kisi ko wafa ke badle, Salman said that he was a better singer than Himesh and that he needed no mentor. Mussarat was given nine points.
Aneek Dhar came next and rehearsed his song, O-O jaane-jaana dhunde tujhe diwana. Salman asked him if he was really going to sing that song from Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya? When Aneek replied in the affirmative, Salman rushed to the stage, took off Aneek’s cap, threw it towards the judges table, and then took off his jacket and shirt. The short and pudgy contestant was embarrassed as he launched into the song, but put up a good show. A pleased Salman said: “I give you 2 and half points for your body and 5 and half for your singing.”
‘Jab meri acting ki dukaan band hogi’
Faisalabad’s Amaanat before starting his song, requested Salman to become his health guru. Salman replied: “Jab meri acting ki dukaan band ho jaayegi uske baad mein yahi kaam karne wala hoon.”
Next singer Poonam Yadav was nervous and having problems adjusting to the track Tadap Tada from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. After a bit, she started crying. Salman asked her to sing another song but Ismail forced her to perform Tadap Tadap. Poonam told Salman: “Ismailji said,’sing this song so that Salman has tears in his eyes.’”
Salman said:”Don’t worry: I can manage to bring in tears in my eyes. I am good at doing that much acting at least.” She went on to deliver a great performance and happy Sallu gave her nine points. Ismail added his bit here that whenever the song would be played on the sets of HDDCS, Salman would get agitated and say: “Iski maaki ye gaana pahle band karo!”
Ismail said it was because Salman could not bear the pain that the song carried and could identify its words with his own life.
Bappi Lahiri’s Josh Gharana
Bappi’s contestant Abhijeet Kosambi sang Aaja soniye from Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. None of the judges liked his singing, save for Salman. Then Mauli sang Koi taal se gaya (No Entry). Salman hugged her on stage and gave her nine points.
Salman also suggested Bappi Lahiri to join films as an actor taking a cue from Adnan Sami. He said, “Adnan Sami ne apne andar se ek Bappi Lahiri nikaal diya aur patla hogaya abhi aap bhi kuch karo bappi da”. Bappi could barely smile at this one.
Vishal and Shekhar’s Hit It Gharana
After ascending the stage for a couple of times to hug contestants, Salman decided to liven things up and when Harpreet sang Jeene ke hai char din (Mujhse shaadi karogi), Sallu rushed up and began to dance. It was one of his favourite songs he said, and gave Harpreet 10 points. Then he took away a point, saying that “you should have been in just your towel to sing this one.”
Bikaner’s Raja Hassan sang the high-register “Sune le sathiya” (Old Dus). Salman was so impressed by him that he started with: “Are you mad? Nobody sings so perfectly: You are already a singer, you do not have to be here.”
Hearing this Vishal and Shekhar gave him a standing ovation. Salman observed that Raja must not be phoning his parents in Bikaner but merely going to his verandah and shouting out to them.
“I have a deep connection with Bikaner,” Salman added, referring to his short jail stint in that city.
Finally it was Karachi ’s Junaid Shaikh’s turn to perform the last song of the evening. He sang Aisa pehli baar hua hai from Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega. Including Salman every single person on the sets joined Junaid on stage to dance to it.
All of Vishal and Shekhar’s contestants got ten marks from all the judges and they proved the best performers of the evening.

The show is based on singing talent throughout each performance not the one hit wonder Mauli. Screaming into the mic n making faces doesn’t make you a singer n if it does then this show should be called something else. Folks ya need to realistic because this the future of indian music.

SRGMP is a high standard music competition and I hope it is maintained that way. Mauli has done a bad job ever since Maiyya maiyya. So no excuse anymore to keep her on.
Regarding someone’s comments on why Wasi and Sikander were not called in for the B round, I read a news item that they could not get visas to return to India on time to participate in the B round. Otherwise, it is a no brainer, both were excellent.
The reason why the Bengal and Maharashtra winners came on is because of a clause in their regional competition that the winner will get a chance in SRGMP. So I think that is fair. Moreover, these two guys were extra to the number who got voted in. So why complain ? We got Raja and Harpreet back. So we should be happy. It was a fair round.

Public voting is always unpredictable. We may just show the photos of these participants and give the award/prize to the guy/gal with the largest ethnic support. In this case, I think Raja will win. Moreover, he is a great singer. So he will win big.
My personal favourite is Junaid. Not for his looks or anything, but he has a soft voice and he sings well too. His “Khali dil nahi” and “gushtak dil” were great.

A noted actor like Salman khan should not be passing on silly comments to the contestants and the judges, well, if you look at the other side, he was trying to make the contestants feel comfortable by making stupid comments, I guess he was trying to entertain people, he is not stupid to make these comments in a program which is broadcast all over the world. nevertheless he came onto the stage and dance. This is worth it.

Why call a murderer in a musical show. Innocent people crushed under his wheel while he was driving in a toxic state. insulting others for their physical appearance. must be out of mind after the abhi-ash merriage. how a singer can concentrate on his singing when stripped in front of public.for SK himself it may not be a problem but for a guy who is not accustomed with this kind of situation definitely loose concentration.

I very happy today as Salman tought a lesson to himesh. He thinks that he is the best singer in the world. He compared himself with Kishor Kumar & argued with Asha Bhosle. What is he upto???? I have a question, should SaReGaMaPa should invite such nonsense celebrities to the show? I think no, not all! They might not be even knowing the basics of music and singing but listen their comments…they really pass on nonsense comments…which are not tolerable…
I like the comments passed by Vishal & Shekhar…they are good judges…Himesh is immature…he is a good singer but when it comes to judging or passing on comments he needs maturity…ID has a ego problem…he is fantastic musician and I love most of his tracks…but he is not a good “guru”…Bappi L is a fantastic musician and singer…he supports only his “gharana” and Bengali singer…no doubt that they are better (except Mauli)…but I think he should also pass on good comments if somebody from other “gharana” does a better job…he sometimes do that too…I appreciate that…

The show is bringing its level down…when HR does stupid things like talking abt teh contestants love life like he did in the last season with VINEET….he is trying to gain publicity…but sm one plz tell him tht everyday is not sunday…he is looking foolish and so is BL, everytime he defends MAULI’S awful singing by calling her SHAKIRA…if she is shakira…then she shd not b here on the show but shd b cutting her own albums …with probly no buyers.

There are other people also in industry who got more success than salman but have you ever seen them behaving bady. It doesn’t matter whether you tell in front or you do backbiting. What matters most is how is your behaviour. Have you ever seen Legends like Shahrukh Khan or Amithab bacchan or Sachin Tendulkar behaving so badly when they go to a show. They got much more success than Salman but they are not proudy or irresponsible in behaviour.
So there should be a decorum mantained in show and personal grivence should not come in public.

The reason I love him is because he’s a great guy, who cares about the people he loves.
His family and friends come first. How many times has he gone out of his way to save/help his friends? He has dedicated so much time and love to helping others. He has an image of a brat, a stuck-up star, but he isn’t that. He is total opposite.
He has a great sense of humor, he’s a friend who stands by you when you need him the most. He will help you even if he doesn’t really know you. Remember Aman Verma case? It was Salman who came out and supported him first.
Salman has stood by so many stars like Shilpa Shetty, Karishma Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Aman Verma, Shakti Kapoor, Sneha Ullal, Sushmita Sen, Karan Johar, Diya Mirza, and many more in their time of need.

I was disappointed to see movie stars like Salman Khan ,be a guest on the show.He was a disgrace to the hard working group of singers, who have been toiling day and night to prove themselves.What value did Salman Khan have to offer these youngsters, surely he is no role model? To ridicule any contestant is unacceptable.What Salman did to Aneek was rude, crude and disgraceful.
I sincerely hope, in future Zeetv is more selective about the guests that it invites to preside over these shows.
