Review of 14th July Episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Chllenge 2007
Yesterday we saw the first elimination in Agnipariksha and Rimi Dhar of Yalgaar gharana was out. Today all contestants will try their best to perform well to grab the votes from the audience..
Vishal Shekhar’s Cash Song:-
After Aditya’s greetings and introduction of the mentors, the episode begins with the Vishal and Shekhar singing the title song of Cash.. They were in full energy as usual, using the whole stage and even the participants danced with them and had full fun.. After the performance, Aditya asks them about what is different in this music?
Vishal Shekhar request the audience to watch the movie and also buy the CD and listen to the song.. Shekhar says there is lot of madness in the music and this is more because the director Anubhav Sinha has given them total freedom..Vishal says, If you put the CD you will not stop from tapping your legs..

Aditya says there is also a surprise and the cast of Cash are here – Shamita Shetty and Dia Mirza..
He asks them what is special about Cash? Shamita answers that it is an action thriller and is total fun and entertainment.. Asks Dia, what is her role in the movie – She says, she plays the role of the thief, but she is not a petty thief.. Then aditya asks her is there anyone who saves the cash? Shamita says, she is the one to do so.. Dia adds saying there is no hindi action thriller movie which is like Cash… A small promo of the movie is shown in the AV..

To counter Vishal’s point, he says Amanat sang – Jaane kahaan gaye woh din, tera jadoo chal gaya, mere naina sawan badho songs which all are of different genre.. Next episode he will sing VS song which is rock type and show them that he is versatile.. VS wish him luck and say they will teach him..
Rock Gharana:
Joy – says his brother has come from Assam and with all love from that state.. he sings bheegi bheegi raaton main from Adnam Sami album. In the AV he is shown practicing with an umbrella in the rain

Himesh – he stands after his performance and says very good.. Along with him even VS give him a standing ovation.. He then comes on the stage to praise him.. He says, he was very good and its not that easy that VS are giving a standing ovation for him.. Listening to this all mentors give a standing ovation again..
Dia – You were introduced as chota sa mota sa.. But you are neither small nor fat.. you look so beautiful.. Himesh is over excited and pats his back..
ID says this guy is very romantic at this age..
Dia – This is truly evident from his singing.. Whom did you see and sing??
ID – He was seeing you and singing..
Aneek – I really like Dia but when this costume was given to me, I told Mauli that I will say – “Dia didi, mujhe ek lollypop dedo”..
ID comes on stage.. HR and ID asks Why change the relationship.. Tell what ever you want to say..
HR – even if the lady rejects, no problem.. You will get many sad songs to sing.. That will make you a star..
Aneek then proposes Dia saying – “I Love you”
everyone are so excited.. Vishal sings a song for this situation – “nasha yeh pyaar ka nasha hain” Himesh is also excited says lets see what is the reply for this..
Dia says – “I love you too”
The whole set is totally enjoying this situation.. Then Dia interrupts and says – “I said only for your singing”
Himesh – “Dont worry that your proposal is rejected.. You will get many heart breaking songs to sing.. Tell to media that dia has confirmed that she is not in love with Aneek.. She has broken his heart.. Dont make this as a headline.. But she has made you a star
Aneek then sings – “tadap tadap ke is dil se aah nikalti rahi”
The whole situation was too funny All the mentors give him 10
Josh Gharana:
Sumedha – sings Ab ke sajan sawan mein from chupke chupke. ID is constantly telling Himesh something and they both are having fun..

HR – this contest is only for 2 months.. Let them try all this after the contest.. For now let them concentrate on only one genre..
Vishal – Then give them only songs that suites them..
HR to Dia – Was Mauli choosing of this song – right? Dia answers performance wise No and even Shamita agrees to this.. Dia says when a male contestant comes, they ask him to be versatile and when it comes to female singers, they say stick to one.. why this unfairness?
ID – We must first decide on if we need to prove the versatility or not.. Stands up starts arguing with VS on this issue.. There is a huge argument.. Mauli starts shedding tears..
Then they all come to a conclusion that only 7 days are given to contestants to perform and so its difficult for them to practice and give their best..
At last Shamita shetty says vote for you favorites and I have my favorites too.. Enjoyed the show..
Dia congratulates SRGMP and says she is happy its become global now..
Atlast all mentors sing the Cash song.. Everyone are in happy mood

Musarrat,Amanat,Aneek,Raja were good.
Rest were OK. I hope I would see mauli out of the show in next episode.
Even if she survives,I suggest her to quit the show voluntarily instead of crying there. She sucked big time and she doesn’t belong there.
When other participants (including girls) can be versatile and sing songs of different types,why cant mauli sing???
and if she cant sing or refuses to sing songs of different types,then she better leave this stage…
and begin a new show in USA namely THE MAYYA MAYYA SHOW!!!…every sat at 10…where she’ll sing tat song 4 times to satisfy her fan followers…

i dont agree 2 wat d most of u say!!! mauli is good singer and she gives her best in singing versatile. i think everyone has its own style and so has mauli too. we all who don’t know much of singing should not interfere! all the mentors like maulis singing and there must be a reason for. just listen carefully to her and u will really remember sunidhi chauhan.
i think mauli must just practise a bit and …. Mauli, is the WORST singer in sa re ga ma pa challenge 2007. She might be from US, and tall, and pretty, but that’s no reason to vote for her. Her singing is really bad, please don’t vote for her just because she’s Gujrati. She can’t sing at all, every single song she sings, turns into an item song. She turned Chura Liya into a item song, and she uses her nose too much. She needs to get out of the show, I’m glad the judges gave her low scores, the people need to realize that she is one of the worst singers ever! Please don’t vote for her.

1) 13th and 14th july performance was awsome. I do understand the complexity in singing “GHANANA” and want to congratulate especially for that.
2) His Badi Ammi is very great and innocent, her innocent smile should be the inspiration for him throughout his career and especially this competition. He has the same innocence (we get the vibes) may GOD help him preserve that. Too Good to be True
IMPORTANT FOR VS – You have a GEM with in your VS-DuoGem Club. You need to be more than mentors for him at this stage, probably fatherly/GURU figure. Really want to wish u LUCK to mentor talent like Raja, and win the CROWN.

excellent performances! Harpreet was smashing too.. the girls.. Poonam, Sumedha, and Nirupma sang every well too… i enjoyed most of the performances.. and was glad that the Guru’s were giving decent marks to all the contestances.. right at the end of the show.. i felt so ashamed to even look at what i was looking at and hearing… i felt sick.. my whole family who were watchin this eposide with me and where prasing the eposiode so much.. would have taken their words back if possible.. because Mauli’s singing just ruined the WHOLE mood of this episode.. i felt disgusted.. Taal se Taal mila.. one of my faviourate songs.. it just cannot be sung like that.. im sure Mauli will come into one of the 3 trishaku’s …and if she is not out of the show soon.. then there will be some SERIOUS issues.. because i feel that she is becoming a big threat to all the other contestants.. esp the girls.. because SO WHAT if your tall n pretty… is Lata Mangeshkar judged by her height and looks? .. look at Poonam… shes so short sweet and cute.. yet shes got such a powerful voice.. i agree with Aditya’s ‘pocket size power house!’ please… if good is listening to us true music lovers.. then Mauli will be out real soon…. and all you guys who fancy her soo much, stop it! we voting for singing, not Miss India.. Mauli, I hope that the phase you are going through is temporary and you’ll come back with a “josh”. I would suggest pick an old song (one that is least expected) that is at least semi-classical with lots of rhythm, but most important thing is to be comfortable with it. I felt you were not in “Taal se taal mila”. Good luck.
Mauli I think you should try to persue a career in the indian serial industry or even movies…just stay out of singin and please get off of saregamapa. This is my favorite show and even though we should support u because we are from the USA as well, but u really need to look around and see the talent that u are around. You really shouldnt be competin with people like RAJA ( who is beyond amazin i might add ) I give u that Maiyya Maiyya was good and i dunno how or why u are gettin to sing songs for actual movies but i dont care, as long as u leave this competition. I wish u luk in all ur OTHER endeavors.

If anybody has watched American Idol show recently, there was this very bad Indian singer called Sanjaya Malakar. The judges hated him but he was kept till the semi-finals for the ratings sake. Mauli is like that. She is left on the show for only one purpose – ratings. HR likes her bcos she sings thru her nose in high pitch.
Mauli : Started with a bang. I was a huge fan. High expectations. But she has delivered below standard performances ever since. Others have shown improvement, variety in their performances, but she has failed miserably. I think she should sing old songs by Geeta Dutt. It will suite her voice and her lively performance. Imaging Mauli singing “Mera naam chinchinchoo” or “Babuji dheere chanla” It will be great. Mauli’s “tall se tall mila” was worth 2. She is lucky she got 5.

If junta keeps voting like this, a day will come when quality singers like Sumedha, Poonam and Nirupama will have to get eliminated from the show because of Mauli. I don’t understand why people are actually voting for her? Zee TV should seriously reconsider the decision of public votes deciding the best singers. If it continues like this, they will regret at the end. My 2 chavannis.
