Videos of 29th June Episode of Saregamapa Challenge 2007 – Bramhastra Round

Here are the videos of 29th June Episode (Bramhastra Round) of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007. From this friday, Bramhastra Round has started (read more about Bramhastra Round). The six contestants who performed in this episode are Sarika Sing, Des Gaurav, Harpreet Deol, Raja Hasan, Saberi and Sunil Kumar. The two contestants, Aneek Dhar (Bangla Saregamapa winner) and Abhijeet Koshal (Marathi Saregamapa winner), their entry to Bramhastra round created controversy and judges didn’t allow them to perform in this episode. Now, whether they get selected or not is a suspense till tomorrow episode

      I really don’t like the spectacular things that are done to make the show more entertaining. Saregamapa is a great show with a concept that has been appreciated by its viewers for years, namely people that are watching it for the superb perfomances by some of the most talented singers and stars of the future. Now it’s all just turning into some fun pop event, that is too bad because Aditya is doing a good job, there are a handful of great singers and the gurus are overall fine, but sometimes they (maybe have to) say insulting/ irritating things and create drama, which steals class from the show. If they need more people to watch they should get higher acclaimed gurus or judes and do positive changes instead of fake dramas.. In this episode Saberi and Raja made good use of their second chance, also Sarika and Harpreet.. Waiting for more performances and good MUSICAL moments to come!!

          It’s really quite annoying how this show gave the “mahagurus” absolute authority in deciding who is out and who is in. Asha Bholse and Anandji both gave incorrect judgements and destroyed the careers of those who sang better on stage but were still eliminated. I don’t understand why the music directors disagree with the mahagurus’ judgements, but cannot do anything. Anandji and Ashsa Bhosle both had their time as very successful artists, but there time has passed. They don’t understand modern music and cannot use their old style thinking to judge today’s singer. The days of extremely high piched female singers such as Asha and Lata are gone. Today’s singers have to have unique voices with more attitude and style than Sur. I wish the voting polls had been open to the public earlier in the show.

                            this is an indian show and the fact that they have allowed pakistani singers on the show is a big thing in itself. us ka shukar ada karo.
