Here are the videos of Episode 17 (22nd June 2007) of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007. After second round, now the show has entered into the next round - Chakravyuh. Those contestants who didn’t go to final round through second round, now enter into Chakravyuh round. The six contestants are Sumedha, Apurva, Joy, Nirupama, Poonam and Musarrat. Out of them two get selected in this episode. The selected contestants who get entry to final round are Junaid Sheikh from Pakistan (Hit It Gharana) and Mauli Dave from USA (Josh Gharana)….

Again wrong judgement because of Mauli. If the judgement is based on that day’s performance then Shreshtha should not be eliminated because every one liked her perfromance even maha guru as well. Then why Mauli? No doubt, she is famous by her fans but that was due to her first performance which has been sucking up all the people. This looks weired, and really not fair with the singer who done really great. Wrong judgement, and wrong decision about girl’s singing. Shreshstha you were fantastic, cant say anything more.

What do you all have personally against Mauli Dave? It seems like everyone is taking this all a little too personal. Those of you who comment on Mauli’s values: do you live with Mauli or have been around her to make such comments? This is a television show that is giving people with talent a chance at something big. Obviously those who are chosen have something in them, whether or not everyone sees it, that can elevate them into a successful status in the music industry. Like it or not: popularity and the people you know and the connections you have PLAY A HUGE ROLE is how far people can go. If you don’t like a contestant in the show, say it, but in a way that does not address a girls’ morals and values in life. It is people like you, who are threatened by those who are greater and better than you, that make comments about the goodness of people you’ve never met in your life.
To Mauli: You’ve got something good going. Don’t listen to what everyone says about you. Jealousy makes the mind bitter. Take this opportunity and run with it. Make it work.

I have the impression that anything you people hear or read, you believe it’s true. As I said before, this is a television show. In order to gain ratings and popularity, certain things have to be said or mentioned to gain viewers. It’s just a shame that when a woman is good at something or gains popularity in society, those who don’t like it attack her values first. Think before you speak, you may not like someone else telling you the same thing you say about others!
Can any body tell me how many wrong judgment make Mauli Dev in top 3? I do not know. Anita and Sreshtha all are victim of the beauty of the Mauli. THis is a competition of Sur. Now I find there are no difference between Indian Idol and Saregamapa. I have left to see the show. Now i am a big fan of Amul Voice of India. The most beauty of the peogram that they judg on Sur not the body expression.
Best of luck to Jay, Ponam, Musarrat, Apurva. They are all very good.

Ok first of all i want to say the Devica’s comment is bullcrap, because people have no personal objections againt Mauli. She just isn’t that good…….she only can sing one typical song in a good way, THAT’S ALL…..I do not understand why Mauli has got the final this is really mistake of the show, since today i hate saregamapa. It is bullcrap that one single judge has the call. All judges should call out a winner. Sorry for my english but devica i think your bullcrap!

Mauli doesnt deserve to be in the finals. We people watch the show and just post comments with great feelings. but does it really affect.Shreshta is really good she shuld come back.shreshta shuld be back, she is a really good singer. also mauli is not versatile. she shuld only sing garb songs. I dont understand if so many talented people r sitting out there why doesnt any one do any thing. Do some thing to bring shreshta back, This show sucks now. This is for sare ga ma pa. Listen to both the songs shreshta sang they were far far better but still she is out.. ZEE TV bring her back.Bring shreshta back in the competition. she has to be there.

Mauli is definately an awesome singer but the only problem is that she can only sing certain types of songs. if someone were to ask her to sing agar tum mil jao i am 98% sure she wouldn’t do so good. She has an awesome voice and awesome vocals but I think they should chose a more vercitile singer…a singer who can sing lots of different types of songs
Obviously some of you do have strong objections towards certain people in this show. Why else would you resort to using foul language and bash anyone for saying something that you don’t want to hear? I am not saying that anyone is better than the other. My issue is with the way the viewers of this show react to it. For example; look at the first blog on this page, it is threatening that anyone who thinks differently than the author is wrong and should be ostracized. Isn’t that going too far? Why go beyond the issue of who sings better and address such vulgar thoughts? And for the person who states that my first blog is bull____, you are misunderstood. I did not accuse anyone of anything. It was an open-ended question that you obviously do not understand. I am not condoning any decision made on the show or, who was chosen or not. I am objecting to the way you people conduct yourselves and call yourselves fans. Be respectful, or is that something that you haven’t learned? Keep in mind everyone, the contestants on this show now have chances and opportunities that they would not have had were they not on the show. Contestants may be offered opportunities OUTSIDE THE SHOW, by people in the music industry. Just because someone who sings really well is eliminated from the show does not mean that it is the end for them. Again, my point is that there is no reason to disrespectfully bash anyone or be vulgar in comments! Dude..this is crazy. Why is Mauli being favored so blatantly? Is it just because US thing? I dont get to see Sa Re Ga Ma Pa regularly. Just watched today. I thought she is a horrible singer. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has become a joke with all their gimmicks.

hey ya shreshta sang well but I noticed one bad thing……did u all people noticed IN THE VIDEO that how badly Shreshta jerked mauli’s hand when mauli put her on her shoulder to give sympathy to her…I guess tht was not good AS A PART OF her personality….seems she’not sportive & looks like little aakdu…BUT YES, SHRESHTA SANG WELL THAN MAULI..!

I think Mauli can only sing ‘Maiya Maiya’ in a fantastic way, that’s all. She keeps getting to next rounds while other compitators get out of the show. It just isn’t fair everybody give his/her best. Well I’m reading all the people’s comments. Most of them are against Mauli and Zee TV Sare Gama Pa team. People are frustrated just because of guru’s wrong judgement and yes this time it was enought but guys, dont worry Mayya Mayya girl coming again with her same song in next episode so gurus will make decision on her Mayya Mayya song’s performance. This is rediculous and letting down all the people. Desparate feelings from people just because of taking out good contestant from the show and giving chance to non-skilled singers.

its true that shrestha performed really well but this was the first time she performed like this but mauli ,in every episode she is improving her self &proving herself

Everybody can post a comment and critize, but I agree that we should be more considerate with our language. You can say all you want without being abusive, those people on stage have families too and you should be more respectful.
Personally i think that Mauli is being hyped too much and that’s not helping anybody, she looks like too much under pressure too and the other contestans are stressed out I’m sure.
It will be exciting when Mauli has to “battle” with Poonam, who I consider the better singer and sweeter person.. but that’s just my opinion.

I guess people with jealously and low self esteem can only resort to this type of behavior. I feel sorry for all of you who bash a girl you don’t even know. OK there i’m again…..Mauli just does not earn to be in the show again, because other singers were way better than her ok……And it is bullcrap that one single man can make a judgment on his own feelings at the moment for that partical song. All judges should give seperatly grades from 1 to 10. than those grades should be counted and devided over the judges, that will give the right judgement. This is going no were. please try to understand because i have to go to the toilet to learn english grammar ok!?!

donno why everyone is wasting so much time n energy on mauli… all she had to do is get thru the mahaguru rounds till she reaches the agnipariksha. now that she is already there in the top ten, its all gud coz then the elimination is thru voting n looking at her fan following its quite predictable wot the outcome is gonna be!! sad but true… saregama sucks!!
If renowned music directors and icons openly admit that they are giving more weightage to popularity, fan following and past couple performances and totally neglecting how much Shreshta has improved thru hard work, i think people are going to lose faith in this show. We should stop making the female contestants sing again and again, let us just make Mauli the winner and spare us all of this wate of time. There is no difference between this show and indian idol, the only reason i had much more respect for this show was they really looked at singing talents more than anything else. I guess that is not true anymore.

I truly think Saregamapa is reducing in qualtiy day by day because-
1- They claim to be an age old institution which selects through talent and singing potential.The very essence of the show is being adulterated by these silly gimmicks and false fights created on set to evoke curiosity in the viewer, if anyone has noticed, even when they show the “coming up” clips, they show the fights amongst the judges! I mean come on! DO YOU WANT THE PEOPLE TO WATCH YOUR SHOW BECAUSE OF THE FIGHTS OR THE SINGING? It’s sad that a show like saregampa had to succumb to such juvenile tactics to achieve good TRPs.
2-Mauli clearly deserved to leave. She isn’t versatile. She cannot sing senstive songs. If this competition is also based on versitality, then she shouldnt be kept back.Her first performance was the best,after that the others kept getting worse.It should be the other way round.you can’t keep her back because of the first performance. its riciulous!Mauli is not capable of being a good classical singer. She’s good with the peppy songs n item numbers, and saregamnap is not (or atleast, it wasn’t) about the ability of a singer to sing peppy songs.I don’t understand why the judges keep favoring her. She doesnt even look all that nice. Sometimes i get the impression she’s trying too hard to be all “cute”.
3- Aditya Narayan is too young to host such a show. He still needs to work a LOT LOT LOT on his singing skills.How can the host of this kind of a competition not be a singer of an exceptional standard? You can’t make someone the host of a show of such calibre just because he is Udit Narayans son and looks reaosnably decent. He difnitely has a long long way to go as a singer.I dont have anything against him,it’s just that if he were a fabulous singer, then it would be completely just to select him as a host.

Saregama Pa has lost its credibility. All of it. The day a judge passes a decision based on the fanbase of a contestant is the day the integrity of music gets compromised.
Why they don’t just declare Mauli the winner, I’ll never understand. I personally find this very insulting, because I thought I was watching a singing competition, not America’s Next Top Model. Sad how worlds change.
There’s a dark lining in every cloud though, and a warning to whoever wins this competition: you’ll be screwed over big time. The prizes SRGMP announces for its winners? It’s all a sham. So, think of it as a good thing that these singers are going home and not being forced to struggle the way Debojit is now.
So Sreshta, Reecha, and all the other amazing singers who were unceremoniously kicked out: don’t be disappointed. You just saved yourself from a life of headaches and disappointment. I can’t think of anything more rewarding than that.

I was very very upset when the final verdict was given. Sreshta was the best and she deserved to qualify. But the Gurus gave some bad thoughts which forced Anandji to be confused and take the wrong decision. It was suprising to see her own Guru Himesh wanting another contestant to win. In the earlier episode also Anita was eliminated because of Himeshs comments. It is up to the public to decide on what has happened. If we are looking at past performnances then MAULI must be declared winner of SAREGAMA Challenge 2007 and close the challenge.
