This is very special episode for Himesh Reshammiya fans (including me) as today’s theme is songs of Himesh Reshammiya. The show starts with Himesh singing song ‘Jhooth Nahi Bolana’ from his forthcoming movie ‘Aap Ka Suroor’. Then they show some clips from his movie (where you first time can see Himesh without his trademark cap). (After watching this clip one may ask is it really a real life story?)

Himesh started his career as a producer on Zee TV and he produced some serials. Then he became music composer, then singer and now he is trying luck in acting. Himesh gives all credit of his success to God and Aam Janata.

Today’s MahaGuru are Rajesh Roshan and Khayyam sahib. Finally the show starts.

First Gharana To Perform – Vishal Shekhar’s Hit It Gharana

Junaid Sheikh from Karachi (PAK) sings ‘Gustakh Dil Tere Liye’ from movie ‘Dil Mange More’ (Original singer- Sonu Nigam) . His voice suits for this song and he really perform well.

VS – It is so good performance that I would have buy a ticket to watch it..
HR – It’s not an easy song and you are giving live perform…mind blowing, superb.
ID – I really like this song and even I dance on the tunes when I am alone..(then he danced with his tunes)

Saberi from Mumbai sings ‘Mithi Mithi Batan Karake’ from movie ‘Aap Ki khatir’ (originally sing by Sunidhi Chauhan, Kailash kher, Jaspinder Narula).

Comments:-
HR – You tried best. It was originally sing by two singers so you tried your best, keep it up.
Bappida – you are very good singer and performer. You have sung it well…
Rajesh Roshan – You reminded me Asha Bhosale.

Next to Perform – Ismail Darbar’s Yalgaar Gharana

Poonam Yadav from Lucknow sings ‘Sanam Mere Hamraz’ from movie Hamraaz (Original singers Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik). It is one of the best performances of saregamapa. One wouldn’t have expected such performance from Poonam. Some times she sounds Sunidhi Chauhan at high notes. And definitely it seems Ashaji’s training is working.

Brijesh S from Basti sings ‘Shabe Firat hai’ from movie ‘Chup Chup ke’ (Original singer Himesh Reshammiya). Brijesh was part of Eklavya Gharana but now he has been selected by Ismail in his Gharana. It was Brijesh first performance so he was little bit nervous.

VS – Now you are singing with full potential and Ashaji’s advice is working for you…
ID – Poonam has been struggling a lot in her life. Her father died befor her birth and she was brought up by her mother. Her mother is bed ridden for last five years and Poonam is working in PCO to run her house. Its all the struggle that’s making her to give good performance.
HR – It was out and out Kumar Shanu’s song and you sang in a different attitude which was really good.
Rajesh Roshan – What we are looking for ie a good singer and you are definitely one of them

Next Gharana to perform – Bappida’s Josh Gharana

Mauli Dave from USA sings ‘Soniye You are my love’ from movie ‘Aksar’ (original singers – KK and Sunidhi). It was the disastrous performance from Mauli. She was totally left away from sur and tal. Her voice was shaking and at high notes she couldn’t sing well.

Harpreet Deol from Ludhiana sings ‘Afaree tera chehara’ from movie ‘Red’ (original singer – Himesh Reshammiya). Harpreet had tried to sing with different attitude and he didn’t seem to copy Himesh.

Comments:-
VS – Since your first performance (Mayya Mayya), you haven’t sing really well. I didn’t enjoy today’s performance.
ID – Himesh has given me an idea and sooner we are working together (I don’t know on what basic Ismail wants to sign Mauli for a sing. She didn’t perform well today but everyone seems to prising her)
Bappida – (again he promised Mauli for a song..hope all of them keep their promises)
Rajesh Roshan – Mauli, you don’t have western accent, you sing well.(thank God, he didn’t promised her for a song)

Last to perform – Himesh Reshammiya’s Rock Gharana

Anita Bhatt from Lucknow sings ‘Ishq me dil ko pagal’ from movie Banaras (original singers – Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi). She was part of Eklavya Gharana but now she is in Rock Gharana.
Mussarat Abbas from Pakistan sings ‘Aap ki kashis’ from move ‘Ashiq Banaya Apne’ (original singers – Himesh Reshammiya, Krishna, Ahir).

Results:

Poonam Yadav from Lucknow (from Ismail Darbar’s Yalgaar Gharana) and Mussarat Abbas from Pakistan (of Himesh Reshammiya’s Rock Gharana) get the green card and make a final entry into Agnipariksha.

Himesh’s Father ‘Bipin Reshammiya’ on the set:-

It was a surprise gift for Himesh that his father came on saregamapa show to share his feeling about Himesh. Bipin Reshammiya is the first person in this industry who introduced synthesizer. (He played synthesizer in song ‘jo wada kiya hai wo nibhana padega’ from movie Taj Mahal).

He lost his elder son but then he only focused on Himesh and he had to sacrifice his career for his family. Himesh said that his father is the only inspiration for him and whatever he is today is only because of his father.
