I am a big fan of yours. Your Voice and its quality is simply great. The high range and pitch you deliver is simply fantastic. i speciaaly likes the song from MERE JEEVAN SAATHI. I loved all the songs you sang but let me warn you that these people here are very partial to Mauli Dave. When it comes to choosing between you and her, the guys will vote for Mauli as she generates lots of money via sms and has a huge fan following. Although she is just an ordinary singer. POONAM IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST IN THE COMPETITION !
Thee fact that she has been eliminated once again proves two unforuntate trends:
(1) Girls have never topped (or even reached the finals) of any singing contest on any channel (when competing with boys). She topped the girls’ category
(2) Regionalism is eating away this country slowly – eg. bengal and North East only vote for contestants from their region – case in point Vinit, the much better singer lost to Debojit;and now Poonam. Too much pakistan-cheering is happening.
(3) People from Uttar Pradesh should wake up, get out of their ‘hum toh sirf hindustani hain’ dream and assert their identity. The’ve voted purely on merit all these years and continue to do so. While this is the ideal approach and is appreciated, it doesnt work because the rest of the country is not doing the same – otherwise Poonam would have swept the voting.
If all are voting with their state in mind, why not U.P?
Lets save Harshit (VOI) – he is also by far the best in his competition.
