Poll - Does Mauli Dave deserve to be in the show?
In this week Mauli Dave didn’t perform very well. In Saturday’s episode her performance was below the expectation. She sang ‘Main edhar chali mai udhar chali’ but everyone felt that she sang below average. But Himesh Reshammiya asked her to perform ‘Mayya Mayya’ and she did it well.
On the other hand, Anita sang better than her and even got appreciation from all gurus. However, as Mauli got second chance, it seems like Mahaguru had judged Mauli on her Mayya Mayya performance. Otherwise, Mauli is the one who would have been eliminated.
After such low performances, what do you guys think….Mauli Dave should be eliminated or She deserves to be in the show?

Mauli should be singing all the item songs as she sings one good item song so good…. Give me a break…. What are we trying prove here.. Saregamapa is a talent search for finding Playback singers or a joke.. Mauli needs to go out of the box and prove her verstility if she deserves to stay in the contest.. otherwise she is already been noticed to get couple of item songs from bollywood soon. I feel sorry for Sarika Singh, Anita Bhat better talents with versatility, we lost from the contest because of singer like Mauli….
I think it’s nice that people can express their ideas on this topic because it really is controversial.
In my opoinion it’s unfair to make contestants sing again and give them more chances than the others. Everyone should sing their song and then be judged upon by that ONE song they performed on that episode, enything else makes it impossible to have an actual competition.
Personally I believe that it is only professional to ask for a great performance every time they step on stage, not just to be a good-looking or good-hearted person or have a nice voice in general.. not if this is a competition to find the best singer.
I have seen the poll results couldnt believe yet why people still need Mauli to sing even though every one knows she came to this contest by mistake.Yes it was a big mistake searching rubbish talent like this.Mauli is the worst singer i have ever seen though i like the song Maya Maya when i listened first time but i really hated that song listening second time and i know if Mauli stays we have to listen this more and before it is more painfull to listen that song let us throw mauli out of this competition i still believe to see more good singers rather then seeing stupid Mauli.and judges well i never listened abt Rakesh Roshan ever before in my life its the first time i have seen him in Saregamapa He looks like other participants but never looked like judge to me he should also sing and try his luck what a great combination Mauli & Rakesh Roshan both fake singers.
Mauli is an one in a million singer… It’s so tough to discover such talents, thanks to Bappi Da.
And regarding her performance, nobody is perfect. Everbody faces good and bad days… So, she should have been given second chance which she was and I really liked the decsion…
She’s an awesome singer, performer and entertainer, which she wanted to be as she said after her first performance…

Look at the level of attitude she has got… Look at the level of competencies, look at the level of potentiality as a singer she has got…
and about equality thing and only one chance, if would have been eliminated after that idhar chala song, we could have lost such a potential singer and performer…

mauli has an amazing voice thats given. but she can only sing one type of song. she shouldnt have been given a second chance - its not fair to any of the other contestants. fact of the matter is that her idhar chala was pretty bad and in this situation, one bad performance can send you out.
I agree that Mauli sang Maaya Maaya superbly but, the judges should have judged her for the first song she sang rathere than the second. Those who are supporting mauli are just looking at her as one type of singer, if you look at her as an all rounder anita is much better. It is Ironical that because of her guru Anita went out. I believe that if mauli went out she would come back through the brahmastra but lakin Anita ko bahut mushkeel hogi wapis aane ke liye kyu ke, woh Mauli ke tarah itne mashur nahe hai to log uske liye kam vote karenge. I whole heartedly wish anita comes back because she deserves to and she has talent.
I guess it’s just normal that we have different taste in music and voice, so we cheer for different people. But in order to have a decent competition you need to keep it equal at least in terms of the rules of the game.
Also if Mauli is so good and has competencies she should be able to sing and perform every song in a great way, same for everyone. The singers should be graded for every single performance and if they are talented they will master most of these and prove there talent.
Also for someone to leave teh contest it doesn’t mean their career is over.
Everyone is talking abt 2nd chance given to Mauli and the wrong selection of song….but she must have told her guru i.e. Bappi da..abt this song…cant he make out that the song which was selected was not suiting her and she is not comfortable…what is the role of guru….in this show…. himesh said song selection was wrong ..so was said by bappi da…where were he when mauli was doing riyaz (if any) for the same song. they show clips of contestant do riyaz/practice in front of their respective guru…..this mistake should have been caught there only….and abt 2nd chance…its absolutely wrong…she should have eliminated based on her 1st song….only…

Sumana won the competiion over Mauli in the US challenge and Sumana is not given a fair chance on Saragama

I think Mauli is just an ordinary singer. Nothing spectacular about it. I have seen loads of better singers during my lifetime…who unfortunately are beyond the age limit for saregamapa.
Here is the answer for all critics of Mauli Dave, It is confirm that Mauli was sang a song from Movie Pukar ‘Key Sara Sara’ and she perform this in spectacular manner that all mentors are impressed again. Even Bappida praised her so much and said that Mauli is Shakira of India. Himesh ji is already look for her as one of the finalist and Vishal and Shekhar is going to sign her for their next venture. Even news are out that Rajesh Roshan Ji had recorded one song from Mauli for Kkrish 3. Now I would like to have word from all the people who are considering her as underserving candidate in competition. It is really really frustrating to know how brainlessly people can behave. I would like everyone to reply over this. Please watch out for Mauli in next episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa aired on Friday.

Mauli shud have been eliminated in the first round itself coz the other 2 were better and definately in the last round Shresta´s performance was far superior than hers. If this politics of making her get thru the rounds by eliminating the gud singers does not stop, very soon you will loose all the talented singers n you will have no choice but to change the name of the show to MayyaMayya contest!!
I have liked Mauli from the beginning when she first sang mayya mayya, her next performance was also pretty good. But I think when she steps a inch outside of her realm…she really stinks! She can’t hold high notes or sing them (she screams them, and not in a melodious way either).
Challenge 2007 is looking for a PLAYBACK singer…so whether or not you look good, or whether or not you have style when you sing (as Mauli definitely does!)it doesn’t matter. At the end of the day it is WHO CAN SING BETTER… and unfortunately today and in the recent past it has NOT been Mauli.
I thought Shresta rocked! She really stepped it up and its unfortunate that she was eliminated because what she sang defines a true singer. Nevertheless, Mauli is a good performer (there is a difference between singing well and performing well) Now its up to the judges to decide if they want a singer or a performer.
Anyway, I knew that Junaid (because he is actually really good) and Mauli would make it before the show began. I agree with whoever said its a popularity contest. It makes sense both because both winners are popular because of their style and looks!

Well Mauli sucked all the time except that Mayya Mayya and I don’t care if she sang it well. There have been many one song wonders in this industry. I am beginning to doubt if these music directors and so called Maha Gurus like Anandji have any talent at all.
This was injustice written all over the place in June 22nd show. When Shresta asked Anandji what was wrong with her singing, he could not think of anything and he just said Confidence! This is total BS - looks like everybody there (except Vishal Shekhar) is just after looks and glamor.
Even a layman could have said, Molly’s singing sucks. It is outrageous that these people keep praising her as if she the next best thing after Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. Come on! Grow up will you guys?
Finally, it seems more and more obvious these days that SaReGaMa is rigged. Anandji was already told by these “mentors” that Mauli was their favorite and he was supposed to keep her in the competition by hook or crook. Why should any talented singers sing here..
Wish I was one of them and I was eliminated. I would’ve ripped that stage apart and exposed these people to the best of my abilities. They don’t deserve any respect if they can’t be honest judges.

As per as mahagurus judgement I guess only Ashaji’s judgements were perfect…the greencard ones and also elimination ones…n she was the only one who warned Mauli abt her choice of songs..

After today’s show we will stop watching Saragapa. We are giving it a last chance. The show sucks, it is getting away from what it was for. It was all about the right talent and singer and that is not happening.

Mauli, you really do not deserve to be in this show. But the sad thing is there are not many girls who are good singers in this lot. So you will easily be able to overpower them of course not with your singing, but with “you know what”. Secondly, you imitate a song word for word and note for note, a true singer tries to put their own modulations into it. You proved it when you sang maiya maiya again, you sang it exactly the same way as the first time. Cummon, dont you see it? this is not a place for you. No offence meant, in the US you might have rocked people with your performance, but you are more of an indian idol material than this show. Plz walk out of this show, it is a shame to have you here.
Mauli’s inclusion in the show in spite of repeated bad performances is purely to increase the TRP ratings and increase the viewership. Not everybody watches a show for the songs, not everybody has a sense of music, I am sure there are lots of people who look for “other” material and finally this is a show business. In movies we have an item girl to show some skin and lure the audience so that people don’t walk out of the theatre, “samajhdar ko ishara kafi hai”. Shreshta had really performed far better than Mauli that day, undoubtedly. I have lost all respect for Anandji, either he kept Mauli in coz she was a gujarathi or for some inside instructions, but definitely not due to her performance.

I totally disagree with the above poster. The problem is that most of Mauli’s fans DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MUSIC! And the poster revealed the real reasons for ‘liking’ Mauli. Its not her singing (screaming in manly voice) but that “she’s sweet”. That’s disgusting and biased. Do you mean to tell me that because you’re feeling good watching her you’ll be unfair to all the other contestants who have a super voice and can sing with some “raag”.

This is for the people who can’t respect bravery, and can’t stop acting like idiots:
You don’t know anything about what true singing is about. A singer’s talent is measured by how versatile they are, how much they can change their voice, and the depth and power behind it. She has an amazing voice that sucks the audience into her performance. To me, a singer that can only sing one type of song is useless–that only shows that they don’t have enough talent to change their voice.
It was very courageous of Mauli to try a different note, and we should support her for that. So what if it didn’t go EXTREMELY well this time, she can practice some more and get better, but at least she was brave enough to try something different and take a chance rather than sit back, relax, and rely on something that she’s already sung. That’s what really counts.
Other than that, she has a sweet personality, she’s not stuck up, and she doesn’t let anything go to her head. She accepts the constructive criticism that the judges give her. But criticism should be only that–constructive. How would YOU like it if someone started making fun of YOUR faults and imperfections?
I’m not trying to bash anyone here, I’m just trying to say that ALL the contestants are wonderful in their own way, and may most talented win. So respect ALL the contestants and stop acting like three year olds.

She is not versatile.She can sing only item numbers or club numbers…When vishal shekar talks about versatile on each show,I do not understand how these people does not make any comment upon her.. As Ismail Darbar had mentioned on last show that she needs to show some different… I always see that all singers try on differently each time and most of singers except for few have proved that they are versatile.. Mauli name is just hyped…

She is there only coz of Bappida n fans who like her dance. But this is the singing competition not dancing. Anshe should not have been given 2nd chance for singing “mayya mayya”, its partiality.

Mauli will probably be around for a while, as Zee is trying to maintain balance across all participating countries and yes, get higher TRPs everywhere. So, we will have to listen to her crap for some more episodes.
She refused to sing Patriotic songs that praised India. I think this has more to do with her poor vocal talent than she being an American. Smart girl!
My guess: she will be eliminated 4th or 3rd, till then tolerate her!!!

Mauli is not awful but definatley does not deserve to be in the show at this point. There are much better contestants that have gone before her. So definatley think she shoudld be out.
Also think that she gets more hyped from the judges for an average performance and other contestants have to perform a lot better to get the same remarks. Not sure why the jusges hype her so much.
She should have never been this far. There were lot more better singers then her. Sikandar was better then her she should have been gone before him. She is just there because of those ppl in India thinks shes from America and she is automatically hot. i think mauli is not singer and rock if she is rock then why she not particepant in american idol and come india i think indian people she just looking not talent so if talented people are not getting victory this bad luck for indian not for indian people because they not accept talent they see just rock looking not singing so i think mauli must want to out on saragamapa and who people told she is rock they see her rocking look not singing
I THINK MAULI DAVE SHOULD BE THERE IN SA RE GA MA PA CHALLENGE 2007 VISHWA YUDDHA.SHE IS A ROCKING SINGER. SHE DESERVE TO BE IN THIS SHOW BECAUSE SHE HAD CHANGE THE ATMOSPHERE OF THIS SHOW. I LIKE HER VERY MUCH.SHE IS A TRULY VERY GOOD SINGER.
