Opps! She did it again – Mauli Dave performed in Zee TV’s Parivaar soap
Who says talent hunt shows don’t help singers to build their career? Twinkle is the best example for this. She was contestant of saregamapa challenge 2005 but got eliminated in early round. However, with her stage presence and looks, she got a role in Zee TV’s serial. And it seems Mauli Dave is on the same road.
With her rocking (?) performance of Maiyya Mayya in first round, she has become popular not only in USA but also in India. Even though she is still working hard to prove her singing talent, one can’t ignore her star values. And Zee TV didn’t miss to capture her popularity and invited her as a guest on one of their serials ‘Parivaar – Kartavya ki pariksha’. Mauli Dave performed on the same song Mayya Mayya in the recent episode of ‘Parivaar’ soap. After watching her performance and her dancing ability, no wonder she would get break in TV soaps or even in movies.

Mauli shud have been eliminated in the first round itself coz the other 2 were better and definately in the last round Shresta´s performance was far superior than hers. If this politics of making her get thru the rounds by eliminating the gud singers does not stop, very soon you will loose all the talented singers n you will have no choice but to change the name of the show to MayyaMayya contest!!

I reallly like this show and was shocked when Sreshtha who sang so well was eliminated just because of Mauli’s popularity..Mauli has not been perfomrming well at all…She cannot get away everytime singing “maiyya maiyya”…its not fair to the other contestants…and i think Vishal-Shekhar are hypocrites..cos they didnt raise their voice yesterday (22nd June) when a wrong decision was taken…its a shame that a singer has to leave just because another singer, even though that person didnt sing well, is retained in the show just because of their fan following and popularity…in that case, Wasi Effendi should have been asked to stay because he is a fantastic singer but due to illness, is not able to do justice to his songs…I’m extremely disappointed that SAREGAMAPA is soon heading where other reality programmes are going….where personal choice and partiality rule…..

It’s simple to see what is going on…Zee TV is trying to garner support from other areas like Pakistan and USA by eliminating the locals, but what they are forgetting is that playing these games is ruining their credibility. I admit that the singers from Pakistan are amazing, but Mauli is a decent singer who can sing one type of song, there is no reason for her to be there. They are using her as eye candy, but in my opinion some of the other girls are MUCH better looking – they just don’t wear short skirts and stand with their legs gaping wide open.
Personally I think the competition between the males could have gone either way, but I was ready to punch my TV after hearing all the compliments to Shresta and then seeing her voted off. Even the mahaguru was saying how he wanted to get up and start dancing to her singing, and yet he still didn’t select her…i agree with the people above – all politics! Zee better fix this mess soon…

here is the way i see it. Most of the judges liked shresta better. Vishal/Sheker said that her performance was really good and that she sung better than mauli
Himesh: He said that shresta’s performance was surprisingly really really good/superb/mind blowing etc. and that she really stepped it up this time. Mauli’s was good too (but she didn’t get that much praise)
However, the only reason mauli won was because shes popular…if they got rid of her can you imagine how many people would be mad and stop watching the show etc. Zee tv wants to build its viewers, not get rid of them. It is a really STUPID mentality but they do the same shit here in the US.
The judges didn’t try to fight for her because I think they are tired of fighting and making the show look bad (they were probably told not to do that since in the past all of the mahagurus have been really offended)

After this judgement of saregamapa i am agred to the demand of the jury of AMUL Star voice of India contest regarding BL and saregamapa show. Atleast They are not doing any kind of Joke there. They are truly trying to find out the best voice. Never being biased by the decission of the TV management. Now Saregamapa is becoming freaking rediculous.
