Aditya Narayan welcomes the viewers on the show which is followed by an av played, which shows different gharana s rituals. He speaks about the 24 participants who are ready for the competition.

Mentors chant their slogans. Bappi lahiri “Dil main hai josh, uda denge hosh, Himesh” lets rock, Rock the world ” Vishal and Shekhar “Hit it, super it”

Followed by a grand entry of the judges Asha Bhosale and Ustad Ghulam Ali for the 1st phase of the contest.

There entry was a special act which was never done before. They entered from down through hydraulics, sitting on a chair with the tradional background music of Nagada and tutari .

Both the judges wish participant’s best of luck, at the same time Himesh Reshammiya one of the mentors heads to the stage, apologises to the judge Asha bhosale on the basis of some past controversy.

A special performance by 32 participants performing RAAGMALA.

After the performance host asks the judges about the performance of Raagmala?

Ashaji says “Everybody is good and ghulamji says “iss ragmala mein teen taalo ka istmaal kiya hai and congratulates the music director.

An av is played showing all gharana mentors training their participants.

Ashaji calls participant from yalgaar gharana ie Ismailjis gharana to perform first.

Amanat Ali -Middle East (Dubai) sings: “Mere Naina Sawan Badh”

Aditya asks Amanat, “Tumhara mann kisske liye fassa hai”Ammanat says “judge’s ke liye”

Rimi Dhar 2nd participant from Yalgar gharana sings: “Dayya Main kaha aa fhasi”.

Aditya asks Rimi” “What do you feel about your performance?”

Rimi says “I was nervous while performing”

Bappi da – “Accha koshish kiya”

Vishal and shekhar – ” Khoshish kari par kamyab nahi hui, level badana padega”

Himesh – “Wrong selection of song”

Ismailji – “Main kuch nahi kahunga, judges judgement denge “

Ashaji Comments for ammanat – “voice is Good, Sur needs improvement. Diction is good.

Ashaji comments on Rimi – Wrong selection of song, gaane ka expression samajna chahhiye.

Ashaji calls for 2nd gharana participants name i.e. Bappi da gharana josh to perform.

Koyal sings:” Hote Hoto Ko Chunne De Zara”

Sunil 2nd participant from josh gharana performs. He sings “Tumse Milke”

Himesh: “Great gane hai agar uss level pe nahi ga sakte to naa gaayain”

Ismailji: “You all have got Great Platform to perform, please learn from the suggestions aur Izzatt Rakho”

Vishal:” You are our future, be serious about your work”

Shekhar: “Mujhe aapka gana sunn ke neend aa rahi thi”

Ismailji: “Audio ko copy nahi kar pa rahe, music director ko kya copy karoge”

Bappida: “Dil ko nahi chuha. Dum chahiye”

Gulam Ali: “Sur ko pyaar karo, sargam ko sahi gaao. Practice sur.”

Ashaji: “Diction sahi hona chahiye,bol saafh hone chahiye,sur or bol pe dyan diya aur na ki expression par . Sur ko mat chodo”

Hits gharana Vishal and Shekhar call Apoorva as the first participant.

Apoorva sings: “Chala Jata Hu Kissi ki Dhun mein’

Meghana 2nd participant from Hit squad sings: “Piya Bhaavri”

Bappida: “koshish kiya but not upto the mark.”

Himesh: “They should not sing great compositions”

Vishal: “Energy honi chahiye, pray for their blessing”

Gulam Ali: “Main ache logo ko apne paas rakhuga. Aajkal sabki jarurrate bad gayin hai”

Ashaji for Apoorva: “Sur aur lay main hai”

Ashaji for Meghna: “Riyaaz karo, Om jaap karo, Mera bhai mujhe 108 baar om ka jab karne ko kehta tha”

Himesh unsatisfied by the performance speaks ‘he requested ashaji and gulam Ali ji, that instead of singing Rd Burman and Ashajis songs they could rather sing on songs, which suit their voice. According to him they were unable to maintain the same scale and quality of these songs’

3rd and last gharana for this round ie himesh s Rock gharana

Calls for their first participant Yogi who sings on “Dilbar Mere Kab tak”

2nd participant shreshta from Rock gharana sings on “Aao Na Gale lagao Na”

Ashaji: For Yogi, Sings good, Sur pakka kijiye.

Ashaji for Shreshta: Ashaji tells the anecdotes about this song “I sang this song in one take .Dil aur deemang ke beech mein gala hota hai, teen ka milna jaruri hota hai tabi achcha gana gaya jata hai”.

Gulam Ali: Tells about himself that, “He had started singing at the age of 8. Sur is Imaan, Bol ke saath expression bhi yaad rehna chahiye”

Ashaji announces the result for the girls first

· Shreshta gets yellow colour (have to perform in the next episode once again to qualify)

· Meghna gets yellow colour.

· Rimi Gets Green Colour (qualified)

Ashaji signs the framaan for Rimi and gives her, Rimi takes ashirwaad.

Result announcement for boys.

· Sunil gets yellow colour

· Yogi gets yellow colour.

· Amanat gets green colour.

Ashaji signs the framaan for Amanat and gives him.

Vishal says to the participants that, just to improve them, they were strict.
