Sneak peek into the life of Vishal-Shekhar
Vishal-Shekhar are a music directing duo for Bollywood films. They have had a number of successes including Salaam Namaste and Dus.
The duo rose in prominence when they composed the score for the film JHANKAAR BEATS, which included the hit song TU HAI AASMA MEIN . There efforts paid off when they won the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent for Jhankaar Beats. The music for the film Musafir became very popular with youths. They combined techno music with Indian sounds. The score of the film included the music hits Saaki and Dorr Se Paas. 2005 was a good year for the duo as they composed the scores for two hit films: Dus and Salaam Namaste.
Vishal Dadlani is also the vocalist of Mumbai-based electronic band Pentagram, and was a sometime-VJ at Channel V.

dunno, but I know that shekhar is taller than vishal by a few inches. funny because it doesn’t appear that way when they’re sitting down. as for their exact heights, why does it matter? are you going to purchase them suits or something?

Hi! I am so shocked by shekhar’s comment today to request all guju’s to Vote for mauli! Is it a competition against regions?i hate shekhar! It doesn;t take a rocket scientiat to tell that mauli is the weakest performer! on top of it,she is most favored! she should have left instead of anita! i feel very bad for all the good contestants who had to go bcse of mauli favoritism! today was the last straw! JUDGES r being very rude with Pakistani singers……..if u have knowledge of sangeet,u shud not judge in that way..u guys must agree that Amanat n Musarrat sang very nicely n perfectly n also Junaed sang really gr8 s it was a soft song!!he sang it softly.n abt aneek, noboby noticed tht he had missed 1 trk in the finishing.it was not fair with Junaed,he didnt sing s Mauli that Judges gave 7, 2 both of them>>> HOW COME?? Mouli was totally besura…..N Junaed was not.if saregamapa cannot honour Pakistani singers then y they invited them 2 INDIA. 2 Insult them or wht they want 2 prove??

i have big hope from you on this Vishal- shekhar ..do something …Do not disregard….i respect Sa Re Ga Ma Pa the effort of Indo-Pak Friendship; But the long term root of biases …it will take time. Zee TV should stop this melodramas of let all participant cry ,,just watch if you recorded the show. Or watch DVD when this melodrama was going on producer made all participants crying like they lost their life (It was exaggerated) and three “Trishanku’s facial gestures …look again care fully …any one can say (Not a drop of tears) not melodrama purely drama to speak words …all were crying heartfelty and three were speaking the word of emotional blackmailing as it was clearly seen by gestures like …”How they make others cry …and making FOOL with innocent face and innocent voice..…watch it again with minute observation.

Very few times so we get to meet/witness people that truly touch our hearts.. you both have done exactly that. I applaud your sincerity and humbleness with which you come on set each and every day, and support each contestant regardless of their ‘gharana.’ I also honestly believe that good things happen to good people, which is why two of the best judges in my opinion, have the best contestant of the show in the hit-it squad. Raja hasan, is not just a personal favorite of mine, but of my friends and family as well. I am stunned to see him grow with each and every performance. I want you to know that the regular public watching the show may not be holding phd’s in music, but they can clearly distinguish good human beings from the rest.. and you two truly are beautiful souls. I grew up away from India and wihtout much knowledge of the mainstream indian culture. However, the channels are changing that pretty fast. I havent watched many of the episodes, however the ones i have, i am so impressed by you guys! the way you give advise,it seems to come from the heart,how humble and down to earth you guys are, the way you encourage and above all the way you guys stay away from the self promoting speeches like that guy in the hat is always going on!
