Early in Life
Himesh started his career with a production house which aired quite a few TV soaps on Doordarshan Ahmedabad and Zee TV. Early in his career, he received critical acclaim for his musical scores, although the films associated with them were not popular at the box office. His first film as music director was Bandhan (1998), in which he collaborated with Anand Raj Anand to produce the musical score. Although it was not the first film to which he contributed music, it was the first one on which he was listed as a contributing music director.
Music direction career
Himesh Reshammiya was first noticed in Bollywood for his work in the film Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998). He became good friends with Salman Khan, a famous Bollywood actor who starred in the film, and composed songs for some subsequent film in which Salman starred. Reshammiya soon developed his own unique style of composition, based on pop music and catchy techno beats. He also places a particular emphasis on melodic hooks to his songs. His most popular albums can be said to be Tere Naam and Aashiq Banaya Aapne. With a series of popular film scores, he is considered one of the upcoming music composers in Indian cinema today. His music is associated with the youthful culture that has recently been pervasive in India, but he has also shown versatility, focusing on a more classical style for films such as Banaras: A Mystic Love Story and semi-classical like Tere Naam. As of 2006 he is the top composer of this year. It is reported that Dil Diya Hai represented Himesh’s tiredness as his music has not been quite top charting as it used to be. The media has advised Himesh to cut down work as he is working on 30-35 films (equivalent to half the films released in Bollywood in one year). In 2006, Himesh had well over 36 hit tracks in a single calender year. He also became the first Indian to perform at the Wembley Arena. 2007 was the return of Himesh Reshammiya with three soundtracks Red : the dark side, Namastey London and ShakaLaka Boom Boom. All three films have chart busting songs Afreen Tera Chera, Aamin, Chakna Chakna, Rafta Rafta, Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Dil Laageyenge and many more. His new album Good Boy Bad Boy is also rocking and is anticipated to top charts considering its aggressive promotion by Subhash Ghai. Next would be his own filem Aap Ka Soorror which already has one great track “Assalaam Vaalekum”
Recently, Himesh has been in the news for controversial remarks and comments made regarding notable and popular musicians of the past. Himesh has also been heavily criticized for using what many consider repetitive music.
Acting
Himesh Reshammiya will score the music and make his film debut in Aap Ka Suroor – The Real Love Story, a movie on his life which will be filmed in Germany’s state of Hesse in March 2007. Shooting will take place in Heppenheim in Bergstraße County District[3]. This movie is scheduled for release in July 2007, The original release date is 29th june 2007

i really dont feel you have a bad voice but you are using it too much ok now take for e.g 36 china town’s ashiqui mein teri it would have better sounded with …………sonu nigam or kk then you and also namunkim from shakalaka boom boom could have been much much better with vinit singh or sonu nigam and not you so you should understand that you are good music director but restrict your singing………..

himesh, my 8 year daughter is a hardcore fan of yours.But remember one thing in mind that as much as you have to listen things against you ,what i feel that your fans have to tolerate more than you.After returning from the movie “aap ka suroor “audiences were giving negative comments about your movie which my daughter couldnt tolerate and she burst into tears saying— Sab log hamesha himesh ki burai kyon karte rehte hai.what should i give the reply.

I strongly condemn the insulting behavior of salman khan.He has no right to humiliate u or Bhappida on a respectable stage like this ! he needs to see beneath his own feet what ground he is standing on! whole nation forgave him for his wrong deeds but he hasn’t learnt from that!

I have BIG HOPE from you on this Himesh…Do not disregard….i respect Sa Re Ga Ma Pa the effort of Indo-Pak Friendship; But the long term root of biases …it will take time. Zee TV should stop this melodramas of let all participant cry ,,just watch if you recorded the show. Or watch DVD when this melodrama was going on producer made all participants crying like they lost their life (It was exaggerated) and three “Trishanku’s facial gestures …look again care fully …any one can say (Not a drop of tears) not melodrama purely drama to speak words …all were crying heartfelty and three were speaking the word of emotional blackmailing as it was clearly seen by gestures like …”How they make others cry …and making FOOL with innocent face and innocent voice..…watch it again with minute observation.

If you really are a great person and if you will follow your advise to Poonam to help other people, you will not let Mussarat go back to Pakistan empty handed. People are saying you are threatened by him, becasue he can sing the higher notes like you. Only way you can show that you are a bigger person than this is by getting him some song contracts. You know you have been unfair to him. Should not be difficult for a music director like you who has maximum number of movies on hand and so many contacts. When God gives you so much, you must pass on some to others who are deserving as a way to say thank you to God. I have been a big fan of whatever you compose, but will suffer greatly if their is injustice to this innocent boy Mussarat and may not be able to have the same respect for you. However, I promise that me and friends will listen to you forever and ever if you will do something very good fro this simple very talented boy who trusts you so much.
I would say that u r more a Businessman than anything else.
You know the tactics to sell your gharana guys, even when they are not performing well. Making them best when they are really not the best.

when I started watching you on TV, I use to like you, but your recent comments, regarding love story between Aneek and Sumedha, it shows, your cheap and dirty. Have you ever though, How Sumedha must be thinking, afterall she is Indian girl, and have you ever though of her parents, what they must be thnking.

Hi Himesh is good that you want to see your kids on top but why you are always bias to wards other contestant. if some one make mistake from other gharana you count it as mistake whereas if your gharana candidate make mistake you say that his voice doesn’t suit on that song even though he tried for that reason he should not get vote out,i think its bias.
I would like to say something about the Mentors on this show specially Himesh and Yalgar.. Especially Himesh. No doubt that this guy has some serious Psychological problem. He is emotional and always yells as if he is trying to prove something. Most guests that come on the show get insulted, like he did to Tushar and company by saying what percentage of their movie is good and what percentages were flop. This guy and Yalgar constantly torture and abuse those poor singers. I feel bad for Poonam because her story is not supposed to be shared like that EVERY SINGLE TIME and Aneak who is a great singer is starting to look like a Clown thanks to you all and now because of this he may get few votes.
I have never seen such talented singers at a same contest and the quality of the singers are 100x better than any Indian or American Idol. This is why I admire this show very much and don’t really watch others nor do I know the names of the contestants form the other shows.
As a judge or mentor you have to say something but just do what you are paid to do and shut the hell up and let the people enjoy what they want to hear and watch and that is the songs sung by the contestants not your bitching every time.

I am a great fan of your music. Your music simply rocks. All the songs that you compose are special in their own distinct way. I also love the way you say things. Expecially in Sa re ga ma pa – Challenge 2007, the way you are fighting for Aneek Dhar is just great. Also when contestants from other gharana’s are out, the way you speak is the best. Thank you for being such a fantastic supporter for Aneek. I do not think without your moral support he would have been able to stick it out and done so well. You are a true mentor that went all out for his “shisya”. Also the camraderie that you shared on the show was so enjoyable.
Hopefully you are going to promote him in your music and give him a chance to sing.
Here is another idea, why don’t you come to the USA with Vineet and Aneek and do a show? I am sure many many people will go to watch it.

Can Zee do something to stop this guy Mr. Himesh. People are loosing interest in Saregamapa. It is a good show but very soon it is going to loose all the charm due to the actions of this single person. Why is he fighting all the time even with legends like Aashaji. I don’t think it is tolerable by anyone. he thinks he is best of all. Please let this show be what is supposed to be. While watching the show I am always expect an ugly turn for no reason.
